Frostbite sat at the entrance of her pack's cave. the last bit of sunlight was growing dimmer by the moment. the mare sighed and scanned the trees. life had been so boring. every night was just the same as the last. she was either out hunting for her father or just sitting in the cave staring at the woods. up in the trees she could see the crows hopping about. Frostbite threw back her head and howled. she laughed as the birds scattered into the sky.

 Heziah smirked as he padded through the trees towards The cave his pack used as a home. He'd been out scouring the lands for anything to satisfy his blood lust once more. Mainly that mare that'd gotten the better of him. It still left a sour taste in his mouth that he'd allowed his meal to escape that night due to a hoof to the head. His sister's howl let him know he was drawing close and as he passed by a tree, comfortably shifted from his cat form to the more menacing form of a catwalker in his prime.
"Keeping watch tonight I presume?" He called out as a slight hiss. His sister was in her own way some one he could live with as a companion much like one might any other pack mate.. though because she was female.. he didn't see her as a threat like he viewed their brother. He was to some form... nicer to his sister though he wouldn't let her forget her place as a female.

Frostbite stood up at the sound of her brothers voice. something about his tone of voice kinda ticked her off. that or maybe she was just in a defiant mood. she looked at him and shrugged. "nah, i dont think i will tonight. im gonna go pee on a tree or something, hows about you take the watch." she smiled and started to walk away from the cave. maybe she could make tonight just a bit more exciting than she previously thought i was going to be.

His ears flattened against his head at the idea of HIM keeping watch. Giving a snort, he made his way to her side and nipped at her. to some extent she was his favorite sibling.. but he wasn't about to let favoritism become weakness. "You go peeing on trees and that'll possibly bring in young males.. Then again.. go ahead.. pee on a tree, I need something to take my aggression out on. who knows.. maybe some pathetic cursed soul will stumble in thinking you're ripe and I'll get to fillet his face off." He mused. Other skinwalkers he'd suffer the presence of if he had to but truthfully.. he didn't like the cursed skinwalkers much.. he viewed them as... annoyingly irritating mockers.
His maw twisted into a most satisfied grin as he thought of the metallic scent of another blood. It was almost too good of a thought, at least enough to cause him to salivate enough that it rolled down his fangs to drip on the ground. Leaping to a lower branch, he lounged on it watching her. Her defiance was almost amusing to him. All be it irritating as it was.. "You know as soon as you pee on it i'l just pee right over it. SO you might as well not bother.. just get back to your post."

Frostbite walked over to the tree that Hez was sitting in and raise her leg...boy style. no sense in doing this half hearted. she looked up at Hez and released her pee. it was luck that hez had been the one to come home first. if it had been someone else, a move like that would have guaranteed her own face being ripped off. she finished and then bent in and gave the marking an overly dramatic sniff. "aww, smells like ripe babymaker pee to me." she laughed and walked back to the cave.

He gave a small chuckle and dropped down from the tree limb. Turning his hind to the spot his sister had marked, he lifted his tail and released splattering the tree with his urine. Turning he sniffed at it much like a large cat wound turned and scratched with his hind legs at the dirt much like a canine would to after urinating. "You're just lucky father isn't seeing this and I let you get away with nearly murder." He chuckled once more and walked over to her purring before licking her face from muzzle to forelock. He was allowed to be affectionate with family.. it was within his rights.. though others might find it a bit demented that he'd be affectionate at all.
"Babymaking ripeness.." He snorted and shook his head turning as he flicking his tail into her nose. Glaring he watched the treeline and perched on a boulder near the cave entrance. "I think... I'll keep watch with you. I don't feel like going in to deal with that old wolf just yet. Mark my words Frost.. he'll weaken one day.. and then.. his throat will be mine" He grinned maliciously. "It's what any wolfish father could ask of his offspring don't you think?"

Frostbite snorted and rubbed her nose with her paws. "ya sure take him down or whatever." she looked out into the woods imagining her father being ambushed by flocks of squirrels...the thought made her chuckle. "its too bad squirrels arnt more gutsy." she sat down at the entrance of the cave, might as well take watch. she looked up at Hez and cocked her head. "lets see, if hez was the alpha we would all eat like kings and our pack would be the most feared in the land. sounds great and all, but if you ask me its too much work." she flicked her tail, the motion caught her eye and she whipped her head back and stared at it, almost daring her tail to move again.

He had to laugh. "What do squirrels have to do with it?" Shaking his head he eyed her. "Oh yes... plenty of terrible work.. but the end results would be worth it no? Think of it Frost. our spawn wreaking havoc on the lands and all others fearing to cross our paths. Just as soon as that wretched little mare's face is peeled off and my paws are thick withe her blood." He gave an evil chuckle and flicked his tail at his sister taunting her with it.

"the squirrels...just a side thought. but on a bigger scale i do quite like the idea of mass destruction. it sounds like fun." she pawed at his tail like a cat after yarn. an odd thought popped into her mind. it was not something that had bothered her in the past, but as she gets closer to her time it has been troubling her more and more. "hey hez, here is a little brain picker for you as the future alpha. when i get a mate he will join this pack, and our spawn will be property of this pack right?"

He thought this a moment not minding her pawing at his tail. "True.. They would be members of this pack and there fore subject to the rules and regulations set before them by the current alpha." He eyed her closely. "Why do you ask?" Her question had him wondering if she was possibly thinking of leaving so as to keep her offspring to herself. Of all the ones he'd rather see leave it was his brother.. but that was mostly for competition purposes.

"hey dont be shooting such skeptical looks at me, i only ask because i know how stupid you males can be...i guess im just hoping that i find a mate thats cool with the whole joining the pack thing. i want my children to be a part of this pack." she played with his tail for a little bit more then sighed and stood up. "by the way, about your little lovers quarrel with that mare friend of your, you know the cerynei that totaly owned you...if you need help im more than willing to lend a paw, even if you just need me to sit here and make sure that nothing too exciting happenes while you are gone." she shrugged, "it would at least give me something to do than just stare into the woods at night."

His ears flicked back as his sister brought it up. She'd been watching? Giving a snort of irritation he stood up on the boulder and glared down at her. "That... wasn't a lover's spat. That happened to have been my dinner getting away from me. Mark my words.. she hasn't seen the last of me just yet.. I'll make her pay.. make her fear our kind if it's the last I do.." His eyes held something more dangerous than they usually did.
" Should I need any help.. I'll let you know... But don't you go getting on you're High rock and lecturing me about my failures." His tail twitched and slapped her deliberately on the nose. This was his friendly reminder to her that she was still just a female and held a lower status than he as a potential heir.

Frostbite looked around. "nope, i dont see any rocks higher than the one you are on right now." she grinned at her own little joke. it was clear that that was a soar spot for hez, and frost was smart enough to avoid it. she took a step away from the boulder as if she was going to walk away, but then suddenly lept up ontop of it making to push Hez off, king of the hill style.

Hez shook his head some and leaned on her as she pushed on him. he wasn't about to give in just yet and let her have the rock. Besides, this was an almost foal-ish stunt to be doing. that mock battle that cubs and pups often did growing up. Finally he just gave her dead weight and flopped down once more to lay on the rock before starting to gnaw on one of her paws. Most thought skinwalkers just wanted to eat their own spawn but the inner working of pack mentality seemed to prove otherwise. That'Il can push you around but no one else had better' sort of feeling to things.

Frost bite pulled her paw away and boxed Hez's ears. the motion caused her to loose her footing and she scrambled for a hold on the rock, but there was none to be found. she landed not so gracefully on the ground and moaned. "fine have your crummy rock, i like my spot by the cave." she pulled a pouty face and returned to her previous place at the cave entrance. she wasent about to go at it with Hez, even if it starts out as play, it not uncommon for things to get out of hand. Frostbite grunted and watched the woods for any sign of...well what ever she was supposed to be watching for. danger, threats, its not like there is something that could take out a pack of purewalkers.
