Demon had wandered away from his family, they were driving him insane.... and although Demon really was up for a good fight he was getting annoyed at how his sister Visicous always went for the back of his neck, the spot was tender and red from all the bites... but luckily she hadn't broken the flesh, he would have punished her for that.

Demon didn't really know WHERE he was going, just that he was going there. The world around him seemed much of the same, quite and green.... trees and more trees.... Demon was starting to hate the trees. Then again, Demon was starting to hate everything, starting to get bored and needing a challenge or two to keep his mind and body active.

Demon paused, his eyes wide and ears wiggling in an attempt to locate the source of the sound that had spooked him, he had been so lost in his own thoughts that he hadn't actually been paying to much attention to the world around him... most ran away when they saw him, small animals would quite down and pretend not to be there so he would walk past and ignore them... but this rustle indictated that he was not alone. The first idea that came to mind was that one of his siblings had followed him... he growled, snarling with his extended fangs. "Visicous.... Fathom.... if that is you I will bite you! Come out NOW!"

Demon raised an eyebrow as the voice and creature that had disturbed him came into view, he couldn't stop himself as he said, "You're so.... small." He grinned then, a flash of his magnificent teeth and fangs, "But I suppose you are smart... if you were trying to hide, just foolish because you couldn't." It was then that Demon looked at the features of the small stallion.... horns and a tail that he didn't recognise, Demon had never seen a Cerneyi or a Nymph before and wouldn't have the slightest clue how to identify them.... the lessons his mother forced down his throat were usually about the strength of a Kalona and what it meant to be a 'true' creature of the night, they had spoke of some of the other breeds but mostly with disguist and an air of superiority. Demon supposed that every creature had a reason to be here... even if it was simply... FOOD!

He swayed his kalona tail behind him, an almost cat like motion as he asked, "What are you?"

Demon's expression changed from one of near interest to one of fainted disguist as he tried to hide the fact that he was slightly embarressed. "Of course I have...." He grumbled, "...I just ate the last one on the spot is all." It was a lie, but it was better than admitting the truth in Demon's mind, he was far too 'proud' to let such a small creature get the better of him. With a slight turn of his head he looked away from the Nymph and narrowed his eyes as a slight snarl covered his lips... how could his mother allow him to make such a fool of himself? Though he supposed she had never intended him to actually talk to or give the time of day to anyone not a kalona.... but that just seemed silly to Demon.

Something in Demon snapped and he turned his head back towards the small creature, eyes narrowed with evil intent as he snapped his jaw. "Don't compare me to a filthy skinwalker... those beasts are not strong enough to be powerful on their own so have to resort to a change simply to gain some power. They make me sick." He didn't count pures, but then again like most things Demon didn't know too much about Pures, all he knew about anything really was what his mother had taught him... and as far as his mother was concerned, Kalonas were the would-be rulers of the earth.

Demon's anger only seemed to increase, as he growled and snapped his teeth together once more. He was NOT like a skinwalker... he was strong and fast, he was a credit to his breed... his mother had always told him that. He didn't need anyones help to be strong! He DIDN'T!!

But Demon didn't move, he simply stood stuck in his own thoughts for a moment.... he had never been much of a thinker, more of an act now get yelled at later.... he had once gone hunting after a rabbit and got his head stuck down the hole, his mother had refused to help saying that he deserved to die there if he couldn't get free.... the worst thing had been the taunts from the rabbits.... fast little buggers that they were. On an even more embarassing occassion he had been chasing a wolf and had become so enthralled in the chase that he missed the tree root ahead of him... that was until his hoof locked with it and he went flying head first into a tree. A headache and no dinner... great.

With a huff and puff Demon snarled once more and then turned to leave, it was against his nature to turn up a possibly good meal... but the small blue stallion was about the same size as Demon and he didn't want to bite off more than he could chew, he was embarassed enough by what had happened between him and his sisters already that morning. So... he simply left. Maybe he would try a rabbit again?
