 There was two things Mali wanted to do at that moment. The first was to go home and visit her family. The second was to find an excuse not to go home. She paced back and forth outside the teepee, her head down and her eyes on the grass though she wasn't really looking at anything, her vision was clouded as her thoughts raced. I miss them... but what if they don't want me there... She let out a long drawn out sigh. The sky was growing hazzy and a drop of water fell down onto Mali's head. She blinked once then lifted her eyes to the sky. Its gonna storm she thought, I guess I can't go today...

 The forcast seamed to be saying rain was imminent; and to some that probally would have spoiled their day. But then again Avery liked water so as long as it didn't start storming hard his intentions were to stay outside and get a good shower. Or maybe get into a bit of trouble in the mudd.
He stood there for a few seconds his head tilted up towards the sky, the little pitter patter starting on his head and rolling down onto his back. His mane and tail collecting most of the rain though and weighing down on his neck and rump. But that didn't stop the male from galloping threw some of the larger mudd puddles. Brown covering all over his hearty rear. Trouble always seamed to find him as he desided he wasn't covered in nearly enough mudd, and dropped down onto his back and started rolling in it.

Mali stared at the clouds as drops of rain started to fall into her eyes and cover her back. As it started to sting her eyes she closed them tight and shook her wet mane out, bristling her coat up straight along her back and neck. She grumbled to herself then looked back towards the teepee, considering going inside for shelter.
As she turned to head inside, she heard a splashing coming from the other direction. Flicking her ears to the noise she tilted to look back. Thats a strange noise she thought. Maybe I had better go see if somethings the matter. She trotted towards the noise, a bit worried that something could be wrong. As she came out through the trees she froze in her tracks. She eyed the rolling male, confused at what he was doing. "Excuse me, are you alright?" She called to him as she started to walk closer, thinking she might need to aid him in some way.

Threw the pitter pattering of the rain and his deep consentration on the mudd he handn't even heard the mare till she had been within inches of him. Blinking he stopped rolling and found himself on all fours again. His coat completely ringing in mudd and his body soaked to the bone. He grinned at her as the mudd seamed to flow off him in chunks splashing the ground below.
"Ya I'm alright." He gave her a c**k of his head confused- like she'd never played in the mudd or something. "But you know mudd is more fun with more people...if you gather what I'm saying...I mean it's definatly big enough for more then one Soq." He flicked his tail towards the ground inviting her to play.

She raised a brow at him, equally confused. "Fun?" She blinked at him as if she didn't know the word. "Are.... are... are you playing? In the mud?" She looked stunned, as though this was totally unheard of. She walked around him, getting a better look at his mud covered rear. It had been a long time since anyone had invited her to play....

He raised a brow at her in even more shock as she talked. Poor girl...he thought to himself. When was the last time she had any fun from the sound of it. Well it sounded like the invite to the perfect adventure. "Yea fun." He blinked and watched her walk about then finally stop and look at his rear. He did have a nice one after all so he didn't blame her for looking at it.
"Well I don't think there is anything else you could do with mudd other then play with it." He wagged his tail like a giddy puppy waiting for her to bite on his invite. His legs were itching to get back into the pool he had created. Expecially since it hadn't stopped raining only making it bigger then when he had first started.

She stared at him for a while, perhaps secretly admiring his rear. Then she turned her eyes to the mud puddle at his feet. Stepping forward she placed one hoove daintly into the soggy mess. "Is it really fun?" She asked skeptically. "It all seems rather messy to me." She bent her head to sniff at the mud, then cautiously took another step into the puddle.
"You're all dirty," she pointed out, with a nod towards his rear, "and its getting rather wet out here." She shook her mane and tail out, spraying water all around and onto him.

He nodded at her. "It's a blast. But you can't just go in one hoof at a time. You can't appreciate it till your all muddy." You got to just drop down onto your back and roll in it. Your hooves splayed aimlessly in the air and not caring what you look like when you come out...although there are some of us that look good no matter what we happen to be rolling in." He gave her a playfully wink notting he was one of those stallions.
"I'm telling you- you havn't lived till your all dirty." He grinned at her as she shook. Somewhat enjoying the extra shower and attention.

She darted her gaze away as he winked at her, afraid he may have noticed her staring. "So... its really that good?" She said timidly and swerved her gaze down to the puddle again. Bowing her head stuck her muzzle fully into it, testing the waters, not quite ready to jump right in.
Pulling her head back she let out a sneeze. She blushed and tried to shake the mud off as it formed a brown beard over her face. She giggled a bit. "Well it does feel kind of good... except when its up my nose!" She said as she started to laugh at herself.

He watched her for a few seconds as she stuck her face straight into the mud. He let out a chuckle as she pulled it out letting out a sneeze. "Well thats one way to go into the mudd." Again he couldn't keep himself from laughing. "You look like a goat with your new brown beard."
He then without hesitation flopped down to the ground with his back into the puddle and his legs up in the air splashing about. He didn't even notice if he'd been kicking any of it at Mali because he was having so much fun. He then called out to her his body completly brown and drippy. "I'm telling you it's much better from where I am!" He then turned to his belly and laid down in it sticking his face as far as he could into the brown substance. When he pulled it out he too had a goat-like beard. Looking over at her he grinned. "I think we might have started a fashion statement!"

She cringed as he commented on her brown face "Do I really look like a goat?" She shook her head trying to get the mud off but it clung to her fur. Frustrated, she sighed but was quickly distracted as he rolled around in the mud, with his legs kicking some up at her, dapling her gray coat in brown. "You're gonna make me look like a deer now."
As she watched him lift his matching brown muzzle out of the mud she let out a laugh. "Oh yes we can get everyone to do it." She struck a pose, showing off her new brown muzzle and dappled coat. "Well, you've managed to get me messy already, I might as well look like a brown bear, maybe I'll be able to scare off the goats that think I look good." She winked at him and then throwing caution to the wind she kneeled down into the mud and rolled onto her back. She kicked her legs around and burst into a fit of giggles.

He grined at her with trouble dancing over his maw. This was the first amount of fun he'd had in ages. He then rolled onto his back again as she did, not being able to resist the fun of being a bear. "Not that I'm any good at it but here it gose..." He then paused shuffled a few more inches of mudd onto his already soaked back then with the grin spreading. "Graaaaaawwwww...." He pretended to lumber about like a bear next to her then looked at her and laughed. "I don't think I'm very good at bear- I'm lucky if I scared the flys." He lifted his head up and down in a laugh trying his hardest to make a growling noise.
"You should try." He nudged at her a little with his goat-like beard. "I'm sure you'd be an AWSOME bear." He then stuck his face back into the mudd and kept it there watching her with his greenish eyes as his facial 'hair' now seamed to resemble abit groucho marx.

Mali grinned at him and squirmed with laughter as she watched him pretend to be a bear. "Oh I think you do that pretty well, not very scary though. Just a cute bear." She rolled onto her stomache and started to get up. "Let me see if I can be more scary." She bristled her fur and shook her mane out so it stuck out in all sorts of directions.
Rearing up onto her back legs she let out what she thought would be a roar but it came out more like a rough neigh. "Grreeeiiighhhha" She bellowed, opening her mouth as wide as she could and kicking her front feet about in the air. "I'm a scary bear look out goats!" She started to come down but as her laughter overcame her she ended up flat with her face in the mud. "Oof!"

"Are you okie?" He seamed to rush to her side as she fell. Though he couldn't seam to hold back the warm smile he seamed to feel in the presence of the mare. She 'got' him whereas alot of other would overlook his child-like behavior as immature and not becomeing of a grown stallion. Ah but what'd he care about them? He was Avery the wild reckless stallion of the...er north?- Where did he come from excatly? He pondered it to himself not really having a good sence of direction. Well as long as he was going forward thats really all that mattered.
"I think the goats would be terrified of you." He lipped at her mane slightly trying to get it straight again. "You definatly have the 'bear waking up after hibernation' look going well for you." He stopped and looked at her with another giddy laugh. The mudd continueing to slide down his face into his long curls. "Though I don't suspect I look any better." He shook himself like a dog his hair frizzing out and puffing up from the rain.

She groaned as her muscles tightened and she slowly rolled over onto her side. "Well maybe I scared the goats away but I'm not a very graceful bear. Are any bears graceful though? I guess I can't say I've seen one dancing." She grinned at him and stretched her legs out. "I'm glad we were in a mud puddle or that would have really hurt."
Turning she rolled onto her back, to look up at him, letting her legs rest bent in the air. "You look good in brown." She said as she inspected him. "But I'm curious what you look like without all this mud on you. I haven't seen you clean." She squinted at him, as if trying to see past the mud.
"You know I don't even know your name!" She exclaimed, more surprised at herself than anything for being so informal as to not ask for his name sooner. "Maybe I should just call you Puddles" She teased with a sheepish grin. She hadn't smiled this much in a long time. Rarely since she left her family had she had any fun, and it was this stallion who was somehow convincing her to break free of her shell. He made her feel comfortable and she wasn't really sure why.
