The keyblade stallion was deep involved in his mission on this cloudy day. Even though it looked like it was going to rain, he did not want to give up on the task he promised the dear mare Whistle. He would continue to search for her mate until either he or her found him. Plodding onward through the chilly winds, he began to hum to himself. A tune to keep his hopes up and his spirits high. Who knew what could lie ahead?

A small buzz filled the air as Edel flew on the wind. It was much easier for her to travel in her state by flying. However, it wasn't long before her wings tuckered out and she came to a stop on the ground and shifted to a more regular height. She huffed, her belly stuck out and she was breathing a bit heavily.

"How am I supposed to deal with this exactly?" She was obviously irritated. She flicked her spiked tail and left a scratch in a near by tree. She sighed, looking back at her damage. She needed to get a hold of herself before she did something she regretted.

It wasn't too long before Oathkeeper picked up on some sounds not storm related. But instead, something irratated sounding none-the-less. He wondered what it could be from. An angry kalona or skinwalker could be the worst of possibilites, but he was prepaired. "Who's out there?" he called. The wind was picking up a bit now. If no one answered, he would have to seek cover in the local forest until the storm came about and passed.

It didn't take Edel long to realize a storm was rolling in, and it only darkened her mood. She didn't want to deal with a storm on top of the one already ravaging her mind. He tail flicked irritably again, but this time she missed anything she could do harm. She was still storming along when she heard someone call out. She wasn't in the greatest mood for company at the moment, but the voice seemed persistent. If she ignored it, more then likely it would just seek her out. Then again, maybe she needed someone to talk to?

She had no idea who this voice could belong to. It could easily be a trap, but she had a feeling anyone might be frightened away by her. With several moments of consideration, enough time for the wind to start howling, she decided to answer the call. "A very irritable female in need of some...desperate attention." She wasn't one for company, but she couldn't deny her need any longer. To mass her burden onto someone would be a relief. She didn't need to dwell on it all on her own. She realized how much trust she was already putting on someone she didn't even know, hadn't even seen!

It was just as the voice rang out that Oathkeeper then saw her. She was very unique looking, perhaps the most unique he's seen yet. A blindfolded flutter. lovely lunar themed with a kalona-like tail. She did sound irrated. Oathkeeper surpressed a chuckle at her bluntness. It wasn't really a laughing matter, but the way she'd announced it had caught him off guard.

"Then perhaps I can help. I'm friendly enough" Oathkeeper added, nearing her and smiling. It was quite obvious at the enclosed distance she was an expecting mare. No wonder she was very foward. "My name is Oathkeeper, I'm a wanderer and herd leader around these parts" he introduced. "May I know your name?" he asked politely. The sky was raging dark now. He figured it was best to take introductions elsewhere very soon. He awaited her name to be polite, before he would suggest he lead her to cover to further chat.

Edel held her head low, mostly from exhaustion, so she didn't get a good look at the stallion until her began to approach her. He wasn't exactly she she'd expected, but he had a soft voice and was completely patient with her attitude. She couldn't bring herself to smile, but she st least kept herself from snarling for frowning After all, she was the one that had anted some attention.

"I'm surprised...not many would approach an expecting mare like me." He long tail continued to twitch behind her, but she managed not to hit anything, though she'd already done some serious scaring to the tree behind her. "My name is Edel and I usual seek adventure, but lately, just some relief is nice." She held her head up then and peeked up at the sky. The wind was picking up and there was a terrible storm on its way. 'That's exactly what I need, a giant storm.' She sighed, she didn't have much more energy to complain about everything.

Rain was starting to trickle down now. Oathkeeper was sure it wasn't long before it would be pelting rain. "Edel is a fabulous name" he smiled. The poor mare was unique and intimidating indeed, but she had a sense of need about her; and Oath never abandoned anyone in need. No matter what it was. "Edel, my new friend, it's storming---so perhaps we seek shelter and we can continue to talk safely?" he suggested in the most friendly way he could think of. If she needed guiding, he was ready to guide. "The forest is just younder, I hope its not to strenuous to suggest hurrying over there? I'm sure a thickly tree topped glen would suffice til the storm passes" he suggested.

Edel peeked up at the sky as rain started to drizzle. The storm clouds did look slightly intimidating, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to get out of the rain. "That sounds like a smart plan..." She nodded slowly and approached Oathkeeper with just a bit of caution. She didn't think she needed to be overly worrisome around him, but she couldn't help herself.

Oath made his way to the forest, making sure she kept along. He wasn't too sure if being blindfolded even affected her in any way. That was pretty amazing. Pregnancy certainly seemed to though, and that almost made Oath chuckle again. He remembered back to when his former life mate was pregnant. It was presumably quite tough, and he respected that. "Ah here we go" he annouced, when they reached an area benieth the trees that sheltered them from most of the rain. "We might get a few drop here and there, but for the most part we'll be dry until the storm passes." He took a good look at the mare Edel again and smiled, "So, Edel, we were getting introduced...and I might add in the continuing conversation that I am both curious and concerned as to your previous comment about your current disposition. The being in need of company one, that is."

Edel followed after Oathkeeper, staying close, but not right on his tail. This was the first time she'd been so open with someone, but she guessed she would have been willing to talk to anyone who would listen. Oathkeeper seemed like that kind of person. Thank goodness. She definitely wasn't walking into a trap, and before long they came to a well sheltered area where on a few drops hit her back. She was just beginning to wonder when the rain would stop, when Oathkeeper started speaking again. She immediately returned her attention to the stallion.

"Well....It's just that...no one seems to come close to me anymore. I mean, before I could handle it. but after Ari and well..." She gestured to her over-sized belly and sighed. "I realized I basically have no friends...how am I supposed to deal with this alone? I don't know how..." She whined and her spiky tail was limp on the ground. She was sad, a deep depression type of sad that had to do with her whole life. She'd lost her family before, and now she was expected to begin a new one all on her own!

Oathkeeper nodded to himself as she explained. She was a little lacking in the details, so he was a little confused. "I'll admit" he began, "That some of that I'm slightly confused by. I will say though, that I understand deeply how hard it is to be alone. I lost a life mate awhile back. I could consider myself alone, but I'm fortunate enough to have my herd that I watch over." He paused a minute to think, then carried on, "No friends? I'm sorry to hear that. You can always consider me a friend. But then again, we just met, so I'd understand if that was odd for you to consider a strange as such" he smiled. A few raindrops hit his nose and he shook them off.

"But to the latter comment, you do sound troubled. It must be very very hard to raise a family all your own" he replied compassionately. "How...is a matter of determination. I don't believe there's a set way on 'how' to raise a family. You look like a determined mare. With will there's a way to work around such hard obsticles...such as doing it alone. Will be no picnic, I know, but it's do-able" he added.

Edel was surprised, she'd never met a stallion before that actually seemed to care about what someone was saying. Of course, Ari had been like Oathkeeper, but she reminded herself of how she was now alone with foals along the way. Oathkeeper seemed to be the real thing though. Kind and suffering a lose of his own. Suddenly Edel didn't feel quite so alone in the wold.

"Right...I'm sorry to hear about your lifemate." She was curious about exactly what had happened to her, but she thought it rude to ask. She continued to listen to what he had to say. The advice just kept coming and the confidence in Edel grew.

She could handle foals. It was all just a matter of teaching them respect and keeping them out of trouble. It couldn't be to hard...She couldn't help but still be nervous about it. "Okay...I can so do this. And I'd love to think of you as a friend Oathkeeper." Edel gave him one of her rare, sincere smiles.

Finally, someone she could depend on.

"It is alright. Pain never truely quells, but I can look ahead to the prospect of brighter things coming my way" he replied. When she'd mentioned some determination, Oathkeeper practically bounced. "That's the spirit" he smiled, giving her a very goofy-happy look that he was unaware of---but yet it was of coarse, sincere happiness. "Kids are a blessing. Raising them alone will be harder than with a companion, but my Teepee and glen are always open for assistance. I'm head of a very friendly herd of almost all females. Most are wind mares and are very kind. One, my daughter-in-law, Maui has already experianced a tough motherhood alone. She would be a very good friend in any struggles that lie ahead. It's always, as I've said, an open invititation" Oathkeeper offered.

"Yea, I think it's something I'll get used to." Edel shuffled her front hooves a bit and looked up at the sky. She hadn't felt any rain in a while, and she was surprised to see it had calmed down quite a bit. The storm was now just a light mist, and in some places sun was even shining. It was a nice ending to the day, "Who knows, maybe I'll even enjoy being a mother..." She laughed a bit, a rare sound for her these days.

"Thank you so much Oathkeeper, I'll keep the invitation in mind, and if I ever need some more advise, I'll be sure to come to you before anyone else." She felt so much more confidence in herself then she had for days now. Suddenly, the world seemed much brighter.

"I am very glad to hear that. I am always there for anyone in need and our glen welcomes any friends" he smiled proudly, "Blessings to you and your children to be. You will be a great mother, I know it. Make me proud." With that he inclined his head in a respectful manner and bid her farewell. "It was a pleasure meeting you, Edel. Give the lovely little one's to be some love from me when they walk on their own" he grinned. Oh how he loved kids...

And with that he prepaired for departure back towards his home.
