Personality:Esmeralda is a sort of touchy person, she can just tell when someone’s down, and is aware of the people around her in a way that most people can’t manage. She just knows that you’re down and how to cheer you up. You might think you’re hiding it really well, but sometimes she figures it out even before the other person realizes that maybe the death of their pet has hurt them more than they thought. She’ll be there with a comforting hug and some distractions to ease the hurts. Of course, the downside is that she’s developed a sort of reflex where she puts others first. And that means that she’s aware of what might hurt your feelings and bends over backwards to avoid bringing up bad topics. She also has a problem with saying no. When faced with a forceful personality, Esmeralda just backs off and will relinquishe command without a second’s thought.
Unfortunately, Esmeralda feels too much sometimes. She just can't cope with the onslaught of feelings, and that sometimes drives her to the point of tears. She looks like she feels, a fragile, delicate little thing. Since everything she decides to do, she does with her whole heart, it's quite a simple thing for her to lose control and panic. Keeping a level head has never been one of strengths, and the emotions she senses from others amplifies her own fears, which ends up in a horrible mess in which Esmeralda is a spluttering mess who can't think clearly enough to do something. Too much thinking and panicking, not enough action.
Going out into the world, Esme has grown some thicker skin. She’s able to reign in and control her emotions much better now, and she’s begun building up a mask to hide behind so no one see’s how fragile she really is on the inside. She’s also less open about the personal information she gives out to people, she seems more reserved now than she did before. Some people have noticed, others have not as they are subtle things she’s decided to change about herself. Her emotions do sometimes still get the better of her, and when he mask breaks down her emotions spill out quicker than before, but she has stopped crying in front of other people which she sees as a positive thing!
Ekundayo is her husband and Minerva is her duaghter.

H I S T O R Y
Seristas was a deadly warrior whom hailed from the cold Aiskala clan. All members of her family before her had been warriors and the little girl followed in their footsteps just as easily. She was the fifth child in a family of eight with three girls and five boys, Seri grew up in a very rowdy home. When the time came, she jumped chose her family’s clan and went out to slaughter some dragons. Most if not all of Seristas’s time was spend outside the Dovaa capital, despite it being home, she enjoyed being on the road more. She took to killing dragons like a child to candy.
Cephcer’s family were also quite the military family, in fact he was the third eldest child in a family of five boys. His mother died giving birth to his youngest brother leaving then family in the firm hands of his father. The family had always rooted itself with the Friani dragon clan, and each child did not have a choice as to what clan to join. Cepher was soon pushed out of the family home to be out on his own, he avoided his family for some time not liking the way things were going. He’d only return home once he found his passion was blacksmithing.
Seristas met Cephcer while she was returning to the capital and looking for a blacksmith. Cephcer was much impressed with the woman before him, finding her regal and lovely. He soon agreed to handle all of her weapons, armor and whatever else she might have needed. Seristas began visiting the capital a little more often, finding Cephcer’s company in her bed to be quite welcomed and filling an empty gap. They began a secret fling together after a month of frequent visits. Both agreed that this was only because they we’re tired of being lonely and having a bed mate would be as far as anything went.
Of course, things didn’t go quite as planned. Seristas got pregnant and decided the best course of action would be to simply not tell him, not visit him and have her baby in secret while she was on the road. Cephcer sensed something was wrong after a week of not seeing Seristas, he closed up his shop and went looking for her. While their reunion was a bit of a shocker as she was already well into her sixth month of pregnancy, Cephcer said he would dedicate his whole life to Seristas and their child. They returned to the capital to be married, found a home, and Seristas delivered a fragile baby girl.
The first five years of Esmeralda’s life was hell for her parents, she was often sick and cried more often than naught. She did not like going outside to play with the other children and always hide behind her mothers or fathers leg when others tried to approach her. They often found her just staring out the window, lost in her own little world. They thought she might grow out of it by the time she was finished with her apprentice stage at the academy. When she hit her ninth year, they began teaching her about the different clans so she could choose which one to join.
The first year Esmeralda spent in the academy, and the only one as a matter of fact, was hell. Already estranged from having little to no friends at all on top of having little to no desire for fighting, it was hard for her to even keep up with the weakest students. She’s also decided on the Peisio clan as her designated clan for their healing abilities. The dragon hunts had also began; Esme met her first Oblivionite briefly during one of them, but after a few dragon hunts she no longer wanted to participate in them. At the age of twelve, she decided to become a scholar with dragons as her main area of focus.
The years that followed before Esmeralda became an Adept were some of the most interesting ones. While she made more enemies in her community by studying dragons and refusing to kill them, she met Hybrids along the way as well as spent most of her time traveling. She became so enraptured by her studies that Esme grew apart with her parents, finding that those she met on the road were much more interesting than the Dovaa back home. She became well acquainted with some of the other cities, traveling to them as often as possible. The only time Esmeralda returned was when she had finished her studies on the Peisio.
At the age of sixteen, Esmeralda’s study on the Peiso was recognized and she soon became an adept. Her parents announced at her graduation that she would be a sister soon, much to her horror. Esme has decided to head out into the wild again and is on the hunt for some more dragons to study. It was an interesting night that Esmeralda met Ekundayo, an Oblivionite mage, who saved her when she fell from a tree. They became acquainted and began to travel together. It is during this time that Esmeralda felt her first feelings of love for the mage.
While their goodbye was a heartfelt one as they could not be seen together they were soon reunited when war broke out between the three races. They spotted each other on the battle field and Ekundayo gave Esmeralda her first, if fleeting, kiss that she still remembers to this day. From that moment on they were in separable and Ekundayo accompanied Esmeralda on her studies when he could. Esme knew from this moment on that she would never love someone else, especially when Ekundayo propsed to her in his own way. From the strings that keep him alive he fashion and tied a red piece around her finger.
When Esmeralda applied to become an Expert in her field she faced a hurdle. The council was worried about her affiliations with Ekundayo and what it would mean for everyone in the future. Even though someone had smeared her name, Esmeralda became an expert anyway and continued her life with Ekundayo. She arranged Eku to meet her parents, relieved when they accepted him. Soon after that they were married and had bought a home they would share together away from everyone. Esmeralda was also blessed with a second brother and would be hearing more good news soon.
Esmeralda was pregnant with their first child, nine months later a bubbly child they named Minerva was born. Esmeralda continued to do her studies and love her daughter more than anything else. One day, Ekundayo vanished from their lives and Esmeralda advanced her studies so that she would become a master much faster. Because she was to move back into the Dovaa city with her daughter and Eku was officially pronounced missing, Esmeralda was granted the final title she’d sought after her whole life.

Watching the children climb was like watching the sand in an hourglass oh so slowly slide down into the next class container. It made Esmeralda impatient and jittery. The fog wasn’t helping; maybe she should have climbed up to help clear it. To do that however she’d have to actually climb up there and well she said she’d was staying down here so she was going to do just that. She didn’t understand why Red was yelling about a fight until she watched the colorful feathers flashing through the fog. Esmeralda sighed softly; those were not the kind of birds she wanted to be out flying about with.
They were going to need to clear that fog up first though; Esmeralda glanced up and made a face. The Dovaa unfurled her wings which had been tucked neatly against her back, bent slightly at the knees and let her wings carry her up and up.
