If Esmeralda was out to find some Diabi dragons, the Forest of Endeldarth would certainly be the first place she was going out to look. While she hated to come to Souldul, the Diabi were a high priority on her finding list. If she could find and observe them, her paper would be an enormous addition and she’d finally get the renown that she was looking for, for her studies. So far, she’d come here plenty of times and she hadn’t even sighted one of them! It was really starting to grate on her nerves; she was running out of time.

She’d walked deep into the forest this time, it had taken her all day and now the day was getting dark and she needed to stop. If there was one thing she’d learned over all her travel, was that being up in a tree was much safer than the ground. Esmeralda found a tree with a branch that would be big enough for her and she began climbing. She’d gotten quite good at it, it didn’t take her as long anymore and she didn’t feel like dying when she got to the top. She still felt weak, but she knew she was growing stronger.

Once at the top, she began opening up her backpack, this was a long excursion and she’d packed lots with her. Her bed was a hammock hung between two other branches, knots had been easy to learn and she relied on those to keep her safe at night. All that was left after that was making sure her backpack was also tied down and closed properly for the night, if she lost that there were little chances of her surviving. After all her regular checks were done, he sat down on her chosen branch with her back to the tree and looked out across the forest.

Things were starting to glow softly casting eerie colors all around the forest. She could see the tower from here, and she stared at it wondering why all of Souldul always gave her the creeps.

It felt such an incredibly boring day to Eku. He didn’t feel like hunting for dragons in remembering how much he has failed in the past and tries to enjoy his time and life now. Although right now, he doesn’t know what to do. The mage decided to wander around to see if maybe he can find some usable plants and herbs for his magic. At least it was productive and even more that Vilzun is not here with him. He fed the drakein and now he’s knocked out and sleeping for probably a very long time. Vilzun is still a baby and so he will be sleeping often in progress of his growth. Just thinking about the little guy growing bigger has send shivers down to his blood stitches. “Eh, I really don’t want to be thinkin’ about dat . . .” It is a dangerous thought.

His ventures carried him deep into the forest now as his hollowed eyes looked upon the dark ground to see for something interesting to use. There are some of the more common herbs and plant life which really didn’t interest the mage at all for they could be found anywhere. Even right in front of his home he can harvest them up from the ground. They weren’t what exactly he’s looking for and continues to walk deeper in. But soon he did found something rather interesting. Dark leaves were drifting down from above and right in front of him which made him curious. There was no breeze blowing today strong enough to knock them down from the branches and only in one particular spot. Eku then looked up to see that someone was actually up at the tree! Who could it be at this time? From what he could see it seemed to be a woman who is clearly not from here as he happened to get a very good view from below. Well, it made the mage very curious to know as a grin was seen on his face; stretching his stitches up.

With his scepter at hand, he lifted his other hand up and cut his finger up with the use of the end of the claws. Dark blood bubbled up as he chanted an odd language which churned the blood to take shape of a bright red skull with two long canine teeth. He chuckled darkly with the thought brewing in mind. It was so perfect, he couldn’t help it. The blood skull then floats up along the tree to reach to where the young woman is looking out into the dark scenery. And then the skull floats right in front of her, coming from her left side. It blinked twice in front of her and then gave a cute wink before the blood skull stretched its jaw wide open as it tries to bite the woman. All that Eku did was chuckled from below as he saw what happened while keeping an eye on her. She might fall from the branch but at least he’s there to catch her if necessary. At least he’s being kind while scaring her soul right out of her body.

Esmeralda had been just dandy sitting and watching the sky grow darker and darker until she felt tired enough to go to sleep. Granted she never slept comfortably in Souldul, things woke her up in the night and sometimes her fear kept her awake the whole night. There was no one who wanted to brave the world like she was doing, much less sleep out in Souldul for as long as she did. Esme had to trouble sleeping in Serenia, but here… The daytime was just as scary as the night time. Even now, she could almost feel eyes on her, but she knew it was just her imagination playing tricks on her right? Right…

The Peisio Dovaa had not seen the red skull until it was in front of her face, Esmeralda saw it and then all hell broke loose. Eyes growing wide as it advanced one her, Esme threw her hands up to try to stop it. She shifted to the left and then to the right, she knew that if she moved too much she’d fall right off the tree. There was no use though, whatever it was, was still coming towards her. She finally started yelling in a high pitch tone and dragged herself as she tried to maneuver around the thing.

It was too late though, as she stepped back her left foot hit empty air and she went down. Her hands now tried to catch the branch she’d previously been but they slipped as her light weight pulled her down. Esmeralda was still yelling at this point, this was going to hurt. She was going to break something.
PostPosted: Mon May 13, 2013 2:53 pm

Now this was fun. Eku stood below in the safety of the shadows as he watched above where he has sent his blood skull minion to spook the girl. He saw her trying to dodge it but it was pointless. The mage waved his fingers around in controlling his blood skull to everywhere she moves. Eku had even made it split right in half to float right at her both sides. Each of them have only one eye and one large canine tooth but they still have their mouth wide open in attempt to bite her. For a moment he was thinking that maybe this was a little too much for her . . . only a moment; it lasted for a second as he chuckled darkly.

The high pitched scream was like music to his ears. It even shook the entire forest from its slumber as the young woman was terrified. And his eyes caught that one foot stepping back to thin air in hopes to evade the red skull. Well, she has succeeded but Eku dropped his scepter to the ground and has his arms wide open to catch the damsel in distress seeing that she missed the branch to catch herself. The mage moved around slightly from side to side in order to be at the right position as the woman continues to plummet down from the tree. But he braced himself and strengthens his arms and legs just as the young woman fell right into his arms and he held her up in a bridal style.

“Gotcha!” He called out as he almost fell down on one knee but he soon stood up to his full height. His hollowed eyes looked down at her as he held her close against his bare muscular chest with a grin on his face. “How ya be womon?” Eku greeted her as pleasant as always. “Ya need te be careful or else ya could get a scar on ya pretty face.” A chuckle was heard from him as he continued to stare at her. She was a Dovaa; seeing the horns on her head and the speckled scales on her face and body. But she is a pretty one, he really does have to admit. She is very easy on the eyes and lovely. “Now, what'cha be doin’ here and up in de tree?” It wasn’t every day he sees Dovaa here so the man is curious to know.

The fall was going to be a long and dreadful one and for a split second Esmeralda thought she was going to break something and die in Souldul. While she still scream for her life, her eyes had closed and she’d brought be hands together in front of her. At least if someone found her dead she’d look somewhat peaceful right? Of course though, Esmeralda never expected anyone to be down below and much less catch her as she fell from the tree! Ranted, she also didn’t know that this person was the reason behind her falling off the tree to begin with.

Esme made an “Oomff” said as the arms caught her and her light weight was supported. She stayed still for a brief few seconds, wonder what exactly had caught her, but not really sure she wanted to open her eyes and find out. After he spoke, she peaked one eye open, the one that was away from him of course so she couldn’t see him. He was still holding her bridal style, which was a little embarrassing considering her mother and father were the only two other being whom had held her like this ever. His accent she’d never heard before, so maybe this was a Dovaa? What were the chances?

Finally Esmeralda decided to open her other eye and turn to the one who’d caught her. Her eyebrows shot up, mouth feel open as her eyes grew wide. Her eyes first caught on the color of his skin, black which could only mean Oblivionite. Next were his empty eyes that only confirmed her belief, then the oddly shaped scar and finally down to his mouth where her eyes settled on the stitching. Stitching. Stitching… S T I T C H I N G. Forget that she was being held by a bare man’s chest and that this was the most personal touch she’d ever gotten from anyone not in her family. His mouth was stitched.

Esmeralda wondered how he’d spoken, if it hurt him. She wanted to reach up and tug them or cut them open and she curled her lips inward just at the thought of what he might have gone through. Her mouth opened and closed a few times but no words came. Then finally, Esme got some words out. “How can you talk?” This was the creepiest encounter she’d ever had with a Oblivionite, and he was ALL Oblivionte. No Dovaa or Orderite blood also running through his veins.
PostPosted: Mon May 13, 2013 7:55 pm

The Dovaa still looked to be frightened still in his arms. She refuses to open her eyes seeing how shut they are. Well, it was a long way down from where she was in the tree so maybe the aftermath of it. But when she finally turned to see him and opened her eyes; she looked as though she went absolutely pale. Her eyebrows looked as though they almost reached to her hairline as they were raised up so high and her jaw was slacked down into making the perfect ‘o’ of pure fright as she stared to the depth of his hollowed eyes. He was waiting for a scream or something to ring through his ears but nothing. The dovaa was too frightened to even utter a single word or sound. Now that has made him feel sad about his appearance, just a little bit, and probably gave her a really bad experience of meeting her very first Oblivionite too.

But he managed to smirk, stretching the red stitches that cinched his mouth. “Ya bein’ a little rude to be starin’ at me miss.” Eku said in hopes to maybe snap her out of her daze. His hollowed eyes saw her lips quivering in her attempt to speak something. Probably answering his questions, but instead she asked him how does can he talk which confused him. “Eh?” A mere sound was heard as Eku tilt his head to one side just before he chuckled loudly in humor. “I open and close me mouth to talk, silly Dovii.” He shortened her race name as he answered her question so bluntly even though he knows exactly what she meant with the red stitches sewn through his body that keeps him together. “What be your name den Dovii? My name be Ekundayo Okoro, but call me Eku.” The mage wanted to know more about this funny woman as he held her up in his arms tightly. Although strength is not his greatest, she weighs very light in his arms as he can easily hold her up. “And also dem other questions too. Or else ya won’t be settin’ ye feet down soon.” How cruel of him, making her stay up close to his terrifying face but it was all just good game and fun for him.

It may have not been possible, but Esmeralda’s eye grew even wider when he said she was being rude for staring. Color returned to her cheeks in a pink shade as she finally gathered herself, honestly she really had been rude about the whole thing… But she’d just never seen such a thing before, and it was making her curious and scaring her at the same time. “Sorry.” She muttered softly, this time pushing the words out. He was awfully polite to her too, which was nice and he hadn't dropped her either which was also a little odd. "It's nice to meet you Eku."

“My name?” Why did he want to know her name? And other questions? What other questions…? Oh right, those. “My name is Esmeralda Vorperian.” That was a good start, she just needed to breath. She looked away to look in front of her, only glancing at him with the quirk of her eyebrow when she answered his question. “I’m uhm…” Her brows squished together as she tried to explain. “I’m better now that I know I’m not going to be falling to my death.” Granted being in his arms and this close to his bare chest was a little awkward! “I’m up in the tree because I’m out hunting for Diabi dragons.” Esmeralda turned to him, this time staring into his eyes because that’s the only place she felt it would be appropriate to do so. “What are you doing here?”
PostPosted: Tue May 14, 2013 8:49 am

Ah, she finally snapped out of her daze. Well that’s good! And it seemed that some of the color returned to her face instead of the stark white complexion from when she saw his face. There were some soft pink hues of embarrassment when Eku had told her about the staring. That had made him want to laugh. At least she apologizes for it which he appreciates it as he nods his head and accepts it. Eku then smiled down at the young woman, but his smile looks far twisted to her eyes as his stitches pulled against his skin. Perhaps he should learn how to smile when meeting other races just to ensure his life in the future.

A brow arched up in learning her name . . . and it sounded a pretty long one too. The mage tries to mentally say her name but it just got jumbled up. He was quiet and paid attention to the Dovaa in his arms as she continued to speak through her flusters to explain everything. But his hollowed eyes widen incredibly in hearing that she’s hunting the Diabi dragon. But for what reason is she going after it? The dragon is the creation of the Goddess and could pretty much destroy her just by the flick of its tail. But hearing that his questions are answered, he gently set her feet down on the ground to keep his end of the deal. “Thank ya kindly Esmy.” He said with a grin, giving her a nickname instead of butchering her pretty name. But before he completely lets her go from his grasp, his hand and slipped to grab her delicate pale hand and pulled her up close to him once more as he looked down at the Dovaa. “But ya be one fool of a womon to be afterin’ de Diabi all by yaself.” Eku has to comment about that. He is a foolish man but certainly not that foolish.

He chuckled as he stepped back from Esme and even twirled her around before he released her hand. The mage moved to get his scepter that was carelessly tossed to the ground and stood back up straight to see her. “Searchin’ for herbs Emsy. I be a mage as ya can see with your pretty eyes.” Eku said as he twirled his scepter in his hand that consists of strange plant life on the dark wood, painted with red symbols, and bones. “And so I be needin’ some special plants for me magic.” His blood magic but he would keep that little specific to himself since he has already frightened her. “But . . . why you be huntin’ de Diabi?” It was something he was curious about that made him stop twirling his scepter and playing around as he stood up straight in a relax posture in front of her with a hand on his bare hip. “Wantin’ to fight dem?”

Eku seemed to be confused as Esme spoke from the quirk in his brow, but he didn’t say anything so she took it like he’d understood everything. She was glad once he dropped her on the ground, of course nothing would ever be simple with this one. Next thing Esme knew was that he was gently pulling her closer to him, his bare manly chest to be exact, so up close that she could feel her own skin against his. Their closeness and touching lite up her cheeks like a bright fire and she could feel her whole face grow warm and red, oh god he wasn’t going to kiss her was he? Oh no, he couldn’t! Surly he couldn’t because his mouth was stitched and this would be her first kiss and it would be given to an Oblivionite she barely knew and things were not going her way today.

When he didn’t kiss her, and instead twirled her around, Esmeralda didn’t know if it had been to distract her from what had just happened or to distract her from what he’d just said or just being random. Eku was one hell of a confusing Oblivionite, and she found herself wondering how other people saw him. She was still a little hurt from his comment about the Diabi, granted she hadn’t told him all of the truth so she ought to clear that little bit up. “It’s not the first time I go after dragons by myself I’ll have you know.” She crossed her arms over her chest to both show her irritation and to hopefully keep all his touchy touchy hands away from her.

Esmeralda stared at him as he commented her eyes, she narrowed them at him. Confusing, this man was both confusing and infuriating! “I’m a scholar, I gave up being a healer to study dragons.” Well at least now he was finally speaking some sense, she was surprised she hadn’t encountered more mages out here also looking or some plants. “So to answer your question, no I am not out here hunting dragons to fight them. I want to study them, research and write a paper about it so I can become an expert in my field.”

Eku is having far too much fun messing around with Esmeralda. When he has grabbed her hand and brought her up against his bare chest was amusing to see her blushing terribly red. Despite the fact they are of complete different races, he does have to admit that the Dovaa is cute; especially right now. He does wonder what sort of thoughts she's thinking about now. Was it embarrassing or quite possibly lewd coursing through her mind. They are very close now and he could do a few things but he's not that kind of guy. He's cruel, cunning, and destructive but never disgusting. That'll be a very bad image of the Oblivionites and they would cut the stitches right around his neck so easily for it too. Oh the curses of wanting to have fun and enjoying life . . .

But he saw the irritation from the Dovaa and merely laughed. Eku might have a serious person right here with him now. She does seemed to be a little hurt from what he has said to her about the Diabi dragon but he's just speaking his mind. He can tell she's not a fighter and it's dangerous to go after something so powerful as them. Seeing her arms folded across her chest made him smile as he took the nonverbal signal from Esmeralda as he smiles. "Dat be good, or else I be talkin' to a ghost right now. And ya don't feel like one at all." The mage chuckled playfully. Perhaps she's more than she appears to be. Now that is exciting to see from a pretty little Dovaa.

He was quiet as she explained further more it had made perfect sense. She is a scholar! It was the very first time he has ever met a scholar so he had no idea about that. People of every race are after dragons to kill them and collect their bounty instead of the other thing like what she's doing. "Ah, how intriguin'." He commented at first. "I never met a scholar before. Den again, most Oblivi wantin' te fight. But dat be interestin' to know about dem . . ." A sly look was seen in his hollowed eyes as he looks off to the side in thought. Maybe if he knows about his enemy then maybe he can be more successful in his future hunts. He needs to bring more of the dragon orbs to Draco. The more the better in fact! He then suddenly snapped his fingers and quickly turned to the lovely scholar before him. "I be helpin' ya in findin' de Diabi!" He automatically made the decision without her having a say to it. "Face it Esmy, I be knowin' dis land more dan ya. I want te know about de dragons te fight dem better. And ya, ya be needin' info for de paper thin' ya be speakin' about. Why not make a . . . partnership?" A cruel look was seen upon his scarred face. He loved the idea a lot. Probably the best ever thus far in his life. But he looked at Esmeralda to see what she thinks about it, for once letting her have the chance to speak.

A ghost? What was he talking about? Never had Esmeralda met such a strange and confusing person, so much that she didn’t even know how to reply to him or if she should be angry or happy about the whole thing. So the only thing she managed was, “Okay.” Because really there was just nothing else to answer to such an odd comment. She wondered if he’d ever start speaking some sense at some point, else they spend the rest of their time on opposite spectrums. She trying to be smart and he just saying odd things that did or didn’t make sense.

“Now that makes sense.” At least the bit about Oblivionites wanting to fight that is. “How come you became a mage?” There were too many firsts with this one; Esmeralda felt no need to tell him what they were. He was the first person to get all touchy with her, first person to hold her in his arms, his chest was the first on she’d ever touched, first Oblivionite that was a mage… And the list continued on and on. “And if all Oblivionites want to do is fight, how come you don’t want to fight me huh?” Esme quirked her brow at him, hands going to her hips.

His last words made her stare at him hard. “Didn’t you just say Diabi dragons were dangerous?” Esmeralda couldn’t work with an Oblivionite could she? Wasn’t that something a traitor did? What if someone found out about it? Would she be banished? The thoughts swirled in her mind like a typhoon wreaking havoc, and they briefly went to Tyrok and his conception. Oh lord have mercy on her soul. “I’m here a lot you know. Alone, and not very powerful.” Was he trying t take advantage of her? Esme narrowed her eyes at him. What he said made sense and would have been a lot of fun if he wasn’t Oblivionite. “Isn’t it against the rules or something?
PostPosted: Tue May 14, 2013 10:14 pm

The question of why he wants to become a mage . . . he doesn’t know exactly how to answer that. It is a bit of a sensitive topic seeing the wild glow that emits from the young man had diminished as he looked more thoughtful. If he were to have eyes they would be glancing down to the ground in thought but Esmeralda could see at least the muscles on his face doing the action. He was practically made to become a mage of Blood magic seeing the threads stitching through his entire body in the shade of dark red just like the element. And through the ritual of his birth his mother died; cursing her son who took her life and ruined his father’s for stealing his beloved away. Such thoughts made him appear somber and stern and practically lost in his thoughts. But then he realized that he’s with someone now and quickly pushed the thoughts away. “Me family be mages and so I became one too like everyone else. Ever since I was little I be trainin’ te become one and I like it.” He smiled as the grin stretched his stitches on his face; putting up a grand show for her.

But he chuckled soon after about fighting her since he is an Oblivionite as they are known to be fighters and creators of destruction. Eku folded his arms across his bare chest with his scepter held tightly in his left hand. “Ya no fighter as ya said before. Besides, ya did nothin’ te me so why should I do somethin’ te ya?” It was a rather smart answer he gave back to the Dovaa scholar. The mage loves to fight, he truly does, but there’s no purpose to engage in combat with someone who can’t fight for themselves. It would be an easy kill but it’s not fun for him and also the fact that he does like this woman too. She’s funny. “And also I’m no like de other Oblivi out dere too.” He added in which is certainly true and need no further explanation for the fact.

And he might have just crossed the line with her seeing the hard look on her face. That did make him feel a little nervous. “Dangerous when goin’ alone for de Diabi be a dragon of darkness and de creature from de Goddess of Darkness and Death, Soudana. We say here, she be in each of dem dragons too . . .” His voice was low, rasp, yet full of dread of what he has said. It is a terrifying thought of the legend that she resides each of them that roams around the lands as they lay chaos and destruction. It would take the strongest to actually fight them off if it comes to it and live to tell the tale. A playful smile appeared on his stitched lips as she continued to speak and being practically against the idea he thought of. It was annoying really. He didn’t see the problem at all in his eyes . . . eyeless actually. “I be makin’ de rules of me life Esmy. Not dem.” The mage said with a shrug of his shoulders as he then walked passed by her. And just before he walked away from her completely, he held his scepter up and poked her back at the end of his weapon. “I see no feathery wings dere of me enemy so it won’t be a problem.” But then he sighs softly as he pulled his scepter back and lifts his arms up to be folded behind his head. “Do what ya like Esmy, but ya be watchin’ out. Diabi be up at dis time lookin’ for somethin’ yummy. See ya later~” And he continued to walk away without giving a glance back to her for a cruel smile peeled across his face for he planted the seeds of fear to her mind.

The blood skull that was left above the tree then divided up to smaller versions as Eku pulled the strings. They floated down, hiding away from Esmeralda’s eyes as they slipped away behind the bushes and trees; stirring up the branches to make as though something is there, watching, waiting, and staring at the scholar as though she is one tasty meal. Yeah, he really does like being a mage a lot.

“Ah.” Was the only answer Esmeralda found suitable in response, she did however understand where he was coming from. After all, it was no secret that she didn’t follow in her family’s footsteps, and half her family either didn’t acknowledge her or they simply didn’t bother with talking to her. Sometimes Esme wished she could have done as he had, become a healer and deal with it. It would have been too hard for her and having tasted the fountain of knowledge, she wanted to keep drinking from it as much as possible. Damned be her family, she didn’t need them, and they didn’t need her anymore now that they had a baby on the way.

Ekundayo was right about one thing, he was not like any other Oblivionite Esmeralda had ever met, but she still wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing yet. “Okay, I guess that makes sense?” What if another Dovaa had done something to him would he then hated the Dovaa? Would his thoughts on her be different? What her own thoughts be different if an Oblivionite had done something terrible to her? Esmeralda figured this was the first time that she was glad that she wasn’t a fighter and someone was taking it into consideration and not in a bad way.

Esmeralda knew enough about the Diabi to roll her eyes and Ekundayo. Tyrok had said the same thing to her, but while Tyrok had been angry at her for daunting such a task, as if questioning who she was to be doing such a thing. Ekundayo on the other hand, spoke of them in fear which was quite different from Tyrok’s point of view. “Dangerous if they catch you or you bother them. They wouldn’t be the first dragons I find and observe over long periods of time. All I do is watch, I don’t engage them.”

Esmeralda turned when he poked her in the back, was he seriously leaving? She was just getting used to having someone around with her; she knew he couldn’t stay forever with her, but still. “Hey wait you’re leaving?” The rustle in the leaves made her look around; this was exactly why she always stayed up in her tree damn it! When she turned though towards the direction he’d been in, the foliage had already engulfed him. She’d never needed anyone to babysit her before, but right now she didn’t want to be alone. So after him Esmeralda went, running through the bush until she crashed into his backside.

Unlike the others, Eku is a rather simple man who has his own plans and such for his life. But that plan is currently unwritten as of now. He is, of course, proud of his race and believes that the Oblivionites are the strongest ever in combat. They are masters in the art of war and intelligent tacticians for they know exactly what they want and how to obtain it. And he is exactly like that but done in his way of things in which it is to enjoy his singular life with a smile; even though his humor is a tad bit . . . darker than others who might never understand him seeing how Esmeralda is confused by him. Maybe one day he can shed some light about him more. Maybe.

He blinked his hollowed eyes in stunned that she wasn’t afraid of hearing about the little description of the Diabi. Most people would be. After all, they were created by his Goddess so they are a little different than the other dragons that roam around their world. They thrive for combat, violence, destruction, and death much like how they are. But then again, he wasn’t sure if that is the case since that is what they would usually tell the young apprentices so they won’t go near them in their first years of training and fighting dragons. What good are future soldiers if they die so young in a pitiful way? “Ah, ya be very brave den and experienced too?” Eku chuckled in humor of it all. “I be sorry den Esmy.” But he wonders how long the bravery will last when she’s out here alone? It would be entertaining to see.

Seeing just how dark the darkness has become, it was getting incredibly late now. It was amazing to see how fast time has gone by. But apparently the young Dovaa seemed to not want him to leave as of just yet. That touched him right down to his dark little heart, but he continued to walk away as he waved his hand towards her. “Yep! Dere be no herbs I need here. Besides, if I don’t go home, me keinlin’ Vilzun be eatin’ me entire home by now.” That would be such a scary sight to see his home with bite marks, furniture chewed up, and a hole in the wall too. Somehow, he believes that Vilzun will really put a hole in the wall one way or another. But as he was walking out of the forest, he did dare to frighten Esmeralda more in the dark forest. It was cruel of him but to prove a point that she can’t survive out here by herself. He wondered though, why is he going through so much? But perhaps the simplest answer is that he was really bored.

But as he was walking away, the mage felt the sudden collision right against his back that surprised him greatly. Eku had almost lost his balance but he was able to keep his footing to himself and Esmeralda up. A dangerous grin of a smile was seen on his face as he then turned around to see her and wrapped his arm around her waist to pull her close once again and not letting her escape from him. “Oho, what be dis now? Ya actually be needin’ me help Esmy?” The Dovaa needs to make up her mind sooner or later as his blood creations are creating more of a stirring in the surrounding foliage now.

It was like the most petrifying thing had just happened to her; Esmeralda was up against him again. Up close and personally, always, with Ekundayo. Her thoughts briefly went to Tyrok and Junjie, was this how their parents had met? We’re they too swept away by some charming Oblivionite or Orderite enough to forget about the rules of the Dovaa, those that forbad Hybrids… Esmeeralda was lost in thought, she’d never been this close to anyone, she’d never let anyone close enough to her that they physically touched her. And here Ekundayo was, breaking all the damn rules with his quirky self and half naked body all up in her zone and crawling under her skin.

It was an awful and yet pleasant experience being drawn into the forbidden. Esmeralda found herself staring at Ekundayo, both hands on his chest. She flexed her fingers gently, feeling his skin. She wanted to try, she wanted to experience and she wanted her curiosity to lead her to the darkest places to experience the thrills. She purposefully ignored his question, why had she gone back really? She’d been afraid yes, but afraid of the dark or afraid of the loneliness that had crept its way up her spine from all the time she’d been by herself? She admitted that it was a bit of both; then again she’d had so few friends she wanted to keep those she’d made very close.

Esmeralda’s hands move up, her eyes trailing behind. She felt the curve of each muscle, exploring where she wanted. She’d never done such a thing before, and now she was being given the opportunity. Her touch was light and slow, her hands moved up to his collarbone, following its curve up to his shoulder. They moved back up towards his neck and she paused when she felt stitches, it was getting darker and he was as black as night which made it even harder to see. But Esme continued on up, one finger trailing along his jawline and then up to his mouth. There she found stitches once more, and her hands finally dropped back to her side.

“I’m tired of being by myself.” Esme sounded tired, the sigh she gave after indicated that much. "I want friends, I want people who will come hunting with me."
