Today was going to be a simple day of studying; Esmeralda had even headed towards the library for a bit of light studying. She still had all her notes on the Peisio dragons she’d seen, so now she was going to find the current information on them and cross reference it with her own. She was hoping to have some new information not yet found in books; this would certainly look good to her instructors. Esme wanted to do the same for all the dragons of the world, especially find more on the celestial kind. Of course, there was only one known to the world, Kayth and Esme wanted to find him.

Grabbing as many books as she could, Esmeralda brought her stack to a lonely table and separated all the books, placing her own in front of her chair. There were quite the number of books here, and he was going to have to read and scan them all. She doubted she was going to get anything else done today, especially after her little excursion that took up most of the day. Thankfully Esme had also brought herself a bit of food so she wouldn’t be leaving this spot very much.

Tamri wasn't entirely sure what had brought him to the library. It wasn't like he didn't have enough books at home. His mother's collection had been extensive enough that even though he had been reading them for some time he had yet to read them all (Though part of that was because he read his favourites over and over). He was close but not quite all. He didn't need to find anything new to read yet here he was.

He had been is a somewhat terrible mood of late however. Since he had decided to forgo the usual training and dragon hunting that was normal for a young orderite, he had been sullen. He knew it was the right choice, he had thought about it long and hard but that didn't mean he was entirely happy about it.

Tamri found comfort in books though and he had always liked the feeling of being surrounded by them in the library. He would drown his sorrows in the pages of epics. He had browsed the stacks looking for something interesting that he hadn't read before. He found a few that looked like they might have potential and then went to go find a place to sit.

He moved between the tables a little distracted and already flipping through the pages of the top most book on his stack. If he wasn't as uncoordinated as he was, it would have been fine, but not paying attention the boy tripped and fell into one of the occupied tables and in doing so dropping his own books and knocking over some stacked on the table.

"S-sorry," he managed to say to the dovaa sitting there.

Esmeralda had been engrossed in her books, so much that she hadn’t noticed the other scholar advancing towards her until all her books were on the ground and she’d yelped in surprise. Putting her own book on the table, Esme got out of her chair quickly to help the boy out. “Are you okay? Are you hurt?” Nevermind that all her research was on the floor and in complete disorder, she needed to know if he was alright first. She extended her hand towards him to help him up; wow he’d really gone down hadn’t he!

“Let me help you pick up your books, I can probably spare you a piece of the table if you’d like to study here. I wouldn’t want you to go tripping again.” Least he bumps into someone who gets really made at him and just leave shim on the ground to pick up his own things. Bending down, Esmeralda began picking his and her books to place them on the table; they could separate their books after everything was off the floor. She made some neat piles on top of the table, quite a few piles actually since both had an extensive amount of books.

“So what are you studying?” When everything was off the floor, Esmeralda started going through her books. This was probably the first scholar she spoke to since she had switched over from fighting. She hadn’t really had time to speak to anyone really, and she didn’t want to bother other people who were in their studies for a talk. Esme hoped she wasn’t bothering him by asking him what he was studying, because then she’d feel bad about it.

Tamri was use to falls and trips, he was learning more and more that he was a clumsy young man. It hurt for a moment but it hardly the worst he had ever sustained. "I'm alright, I'm alright," he assured her as he took her hand greatfully to help himself up. Though once righted he bent once again to help pick up all the mess that he had made.

"I can do it," he said refering to the books he had scattered. She was kind, Tamri wouldn't have blamed her if ahe had yelled, and he felt aweful for interupting her. He knew how bad it could be to be interupted while reading a good book. "Thank you and sorry again." He helped to pick them and put them in the neat piles that she had started.

"Not studying exactly..." Tamri blushed a little. Some people came to the library to learn things and study more, while he was here to read about old heroes and say dream about being one. It wasn't the most noble and scholarly of pursuits and a little bit embarassing to say out loud to someone who who seemed to be a real academic, who by the look of the books that were now stacked so neatly on the table, studied dragons.

"I uh, history," he said after a moment trying to make himself sound a little more like a real scholar (which he supposed he would be some day, when he started his training for that). "Nothing as interesting as dragons."

“Don’t worry about it; I don’t mind helping you out.” What did he mean he wasn’t here to study? Did that mean he was a warrior then? Wow, a warrior that was actually interested in reading and history, which was certainly a new one! Impressive more like, Esme didn’t know any warrior that sent his days in a library. “Are you a warrior? I guess history would help you with strategies or something, learning from the old to make new things.” Esme stopped talking then, she was babbling like an idiot that actually knew about things like fighting strategies. She put a stray lock of hair behind her ear and continued to untangle their books.

“Yes dragons. I became a scholar because I didn’t want to fight them anymore, I think we’d be able to earn a great deal about them if we weren’t constantly fighting them.” Esme frowned a little recalling the two she’d killed in battle earning herself two green dragon souls. “I just, I don’t know. I wanna fix things. Sorry, I’m babbling. I just became a scholar.” Now with their books in separate piles, she took her seat once more grabbing one of the books she’d been reading on Peisio dragons so she could find her page again. “I’m Esmeralda by the way.”

"I'm not a warrior," Tamri replied and his face fell and shoulders slumped a little, "I'm not really much of anything right now." It was the truth that he had been trying to get away from with his trip to the library. "I will study something some day, I think, I just don't know what or..." he trialed off there because he wasn't really sure how to explain the depressing limbo his life was in right now.

He was grateful when the conversation about the dragons continued and it could shift away from himself and back to her. She seemed like a much more interesting person. "That is really interesting, I never thought about it that way." They were always just told that they had to go out there and find dragon souls and he was going to do it without question too. "Have you learned anything interesting about them yet?" He didn't even care if she was babbling. "I'm Tamri."

Poor Dovaa, Esme knew how he felt all too well, she too had struggled with finding her way in the world. “Don’t worry about it, you’ll find what your passion soon enough!” Poor guy looked so down all Esmeralda wanted to do was cheer him up. “You have plenty of time to think about it, don’t stress too much it’ll come naturally.” She offered him a reassuring smile.

“Nice to meet you Tamri.” Esme motioned for the chair across from her own. “Lots, I’m only studying Peisio right now, because well obviously it would be my favorite kind to study.” By looking at her it was obvious as to why she’d chosen them. “I’m mostly interested in like their habits, behavior, what they do on their free time kind of thing. So far the Peisio have very interesting hunting habits. Once I’m satisfied with what I’ve got, then I may go on to Aiskala dragons, I find those pretty cool too and my mom is from that clan so.” Oh boy, she needed to let him talk a bit!
