They’d looked for a few homes together, had visited even less, but this one. This was it. Esmerala held Ekundayo’s hand as they stared at the house, she was bubbling with happy energy. “Eku this one is perfect.” She left his side to run to the front where one of the dirty windows were and peered inside. “It’s a little dirty and needs to be fixed up a bit, but you know…” She was sure they could manage a little cleaning, a few repairs, a little paint and it would be all theirs! Their home together, it was the beginning of something amazing.
