Third time trying to tame: 80-100 Familiarity: +10 Peisio: +5 65-100
This was what her third attempt at trying to tame a Triefen? Granted she could not really count the second time since Red had interrupted her rudely and the Triefen had gotten away. That little girl had been much more trouble than she had needed that day but she had taken care of her quite swiftly. Since when did Dovaa attack their own anyway? Esmeralda waved in the air to clear her thoughts; she was on her island paradise and did not need bad thoughts dampening her mood for the day. In any case, she wanted to try her hand at the Triefen again.
It was still a little too early for her likings to go out and try and capture one, so she spent the morning relaxing until the sun was at its highest and then she really got to work. She had gathered up some fish and began cutting it into pieces, she was going to lure them closer to the beach so it would make her life easier and she would not have to go out into the ocean to find one. So that’s what she spent half her morning doing waiting on the sun, fishing and cutting.
Esmerlada threw the fish pieces into the ocean and watched the tide take them and swallow them. It wasn’t long before shadows were lured closer to the beach by the smell of food. Esmeralda threw a bit more into the ocean hoping that they would come closer and closer to her until she was able to take them out of the water and capture one of them. She counted about five fast moving shadows in the ocean so she was bound to find one that best suited her. All she needed now was to get them closer, Esme leaned forward a bit.
As they moved closer, Esmeralda could now make out their shape they were so close. She threw in a bit more food and they moved. Esmeralda leaned down in the hopes that she wouldn’t scare them and make them run off as she continued to throw fish their way. Now they were almost out of the water, making sounds at her when she wasn’t fast enough to throw food at them. She’s even picked out the Trifen she wanted, the smallest and surely the youngest of the group. She really wanted two but one for now would have to do.
Problem was, her hand kept dipping into the bucket and at one point her hand went in and returned with nothing. Esmeralda glanced and saw that she had no more fish to give them. The triefen began a ruckus but before she could even try capturing one they were all back into the water and swimming away from the beach. Esmeralda sat down and sighed loudly, she had been so close to her goal. So darn close. The Dovaa looked at the bucket again and sighed. She was going to have to make twice as much food next time.
