Hobbies: Lore -- Soleiyu enjoys investigating and researching lore; he particularly enjoys local lore, as it feels more developed and personal. He enjoys researching in general, but his favorite topic is trying to determine how much fact is based in lore, and uncovering and developing as much truth to any given story. He is particularly fond of stories in general and is attracted to any legend or fable, no matter the origin. He considers himself well versed in a multitude of mythologies and is always seeking to expand his information.
Tinkering -- As a Mauvian, he is compelled to find out how things work and cannot help but try to take things apart and try to improve. He likes to learn how things work and is very passionate about creating his own technology whenever possible. He regularly attempts to enhance and improve on every day objects, however does not always tell someone when he has made adjustments, or what they do.
People Watching/Spying -- Soleiyu is very invested in collecting information and observing, particularly if it is someone he is familiar with or close to. He is a curious creature by nature and thinks you can learn a lot just by watching, however sometimes he gets a little too invested in his observation and devolves into spying on a target of interest. He is overprotective enough that he will sometimes assign himself to privately chaperone if he feels it is appropriate.
Exploring -- Soleiyu is interested in the secrets and mysteries of the universe so he often goes out of his way to look for places less traveled in hopes of finding something someone missed. He enjoys exploring historic locations, or places with a lot of history; while Destiny City has its limitations, he aspires to explore ruins left behind on Wonders and Homeworlds as well, hoping to find something to investigate and catalog.
Virtues: Confident -- He has the upmost faith in himself and his abilities; he assumes that his accumulated experience has prepared him for all struggles the world may throw at him. He trusts in his decisions and makes a conscious effort to continue to expand his horizons to prepare himself for any obstacles. He carries himself with pride and dignity and rarely, if ever, exposes any doubts or insecurities.
Loyal -- Soleiyu bonds deeply; he dedicates himself to the people close to him and strives to see them succeed. He tends to be protective of those he is close to and always tries to look out for them. He is hard working in all aspects of his life, but he makes it a priority to work hard to ensure the people he cares about are in good hands. He cares deeply and passionately and will do anything in his power to help his friends.
Adventurous -- Excitement and curiosity fuels him; he is always ready for an adventure in hopes that it will yield something amazing. He is fearless when it comes to adventure and approaches it with a very bold, eager mentality. He wants to expand his horizons and tries to learn from every experience. He is very proactive and will go out of his way to seek out new opportunities.
Social -- While he is confident in his own skills, Soleiyu recognizes that others hold the keys for opportunity. He is a social creature who enjoys attention and so, he works very hard to work his way into social circles to secure such. He often tries to charm others, and he has no issue communicating or inviting himself to interact with others. He is typically a very invested conversation partner and tries very hard to make and maintain connections.
Flaws: Territorial -- Soleiyu very quickly makes up his mind over what is 'his' and he can be very possessive of people, places, and things. He does not like to share and can sometimes become aggressive or hostile towards others for crossing what he thinks are obvious boundaries. He feels entitled to whatever he claims and will dispute ownership over petty things simply because he has become attached and does not want to share.
Conceited -- While his pride can be a boost to confidence, it has also made Soleiyu a bit arrogant. He feels entitled to things simply because he feels he deserves them. He considers his ideas to be superior and has a difficult time accepting any flaws in himself or his work. He can be a bit haughty and his conceited nature extends from his own self worth to also cover those close to him; once he is attached to someone, he will invest himself in improving their life, whether they want it or not, and nothing will ever good enough for him--or them. He can be a bit of an elitist and has very high standards.
Curious -- Soleiyu's curiosity can often be off putting; he tends to come across as thinking he deserves answers and is not always aware when he is being too pushy in his inquiries. He comes across as entitled and demanding in his expectations of shared information. He is not always subtle in pursuing information; he can seem very brash. Often, if he doesn't get his way (or if he doesn't agree with the information he has been presented), he will nag until the other party relents.
Workaholic -- He does not have an 'off' switch; Soleiyu is always working on
something. He is almost always focused
something so it can be very difficult for him to relax. He stresses himself out when working because once he has set himself to the task, he cannot take his mind off of it until it is completed. He can become rude and snappish if he feels like his work is being interrupted or if he feels likes someone is slowing him down. Despite his need to be productive, he is not good at teamwork and can butt heads with party members because he feels his way is best and struggles to adapt to other suggestions.
