Siv felt awkward now that they were back in Destiny City from Kyoto. For once, it meant her bio-dad would want to visit, and Siv herself wasn't actually quite used to two dads still. On the other, Siv was born in Destiny City, according to her birth certificate, so despite her being a Courcel by adoption, it was her home and she felt that. But she did like when she could go places with Kaida and do things and tonight was no different. She'd begged Kaida to join her in a run to a new games store that had opened, largely to feed her inner dice dragon, but also pick up some new miniatures to design her next hero for a Dungeons and Dragons campaign, and maybe some Pathfinder books. Mostly she just wanted her sister's company, and the woman was promising ice cream after. They had just left, too, walking for a particularly good ice cream parlour Siv heard amazing things about (Anything that could change her tongue's color was a win in her book, especially since it was these really tasty candies she knew of that did that). Siv was swinging her arms slightly, letting thje counterbalance of thick books and metal miniatures add grace and gravitas to the bag's matching sway as they walked, Siv happily telling Kaida about her character plans and the ice cream shop - really, she was pumped - when a long, thin wailing interrupted, accompanies by a mix between barks, howls, and shrieks, earning pause as Siv blinked. "What... What was that?" All silliness was abandoned as Siv heard nothing but the pretenatural noises before the eyes. Red eyes, yellow eyes, green eyes -- some in clusters of four, some in threes, or six, but never two as large, hulking things seemed to open their eyes about them, almost but not quite shadows. "Not quite", because of the intricate red line markings crossing their bodies like molten magma cracks, large teeth without jowls to cover them, canine faces twiasted in a perpetual snarl, black claws serving as a threat to all. Their "fur" was black, but it wasn't close to soft looking, almost like pine needles in appearance, with long serpentine tails covered in the same "fur". And the noises. The noises were getting louder and the lot of five abominations passing loosely as devil dogs seemed to be staring directly at both of them. And frankly Siv was not excited -- not in a city made of missing peoples or death reports. "No, seriously. What the everliving hell?" Siv looked... Well not afraid, but put off, spinning her bag 'o' purtchaces to use as a mace. "Kaida? Uh. Kaida y'know Black Shuck? I think he has relatives, uyhm. Do I. Do I. What do?" Siv wasn't going to hurt a dog, but these were... WEIRD. At least, weird if someone didn't know what a youma was.

It hadn't been hard for Siv to convince Kaida to come with her. The plump woman liked spending time with her sister, and gaming was something they had always had in common, whether it had been tabletop or video games. The promise of ice cream after didn't hurt, though. Kaida was a sucker for sweets, and ice cream that wasn't out of a tub was always a treat. It was a nice night. Until it wasn't. The noise sent a chill down her spine, and she let out a soft '********." And then the youma showed up, and her stomach hit the ground. "I don't think running will do us much good with these things, so...we fight." She dug around her purse for the collapsible baton she kept, taking a deep breath. Hopefully, she could find an opening to power, but...opportunity was not on their side apparently.

“You’re going to need more than that to fight them,” Soleiyu answered, darting into sight. It wasn’t that he’d been following them, he’d just been aware that there were people out. And youma. And–oh, this really wasn’t how he liked to do things.
If things had been calmer, maybe he’d have been able to do this more comfortably, but as he moved closer to the two, he pressed very near to Siv’s ankles.
He didn’t think there was time to call for help, especially if there was an agent nearby. He couldn’t feel them, but when they could teleport...
Briefly, he looked at Kaida, and hoped that she wasn’t going to be a problem.
“You’d be better off running.”
…But there were so many of them, it was doubtful that they’d get very far. He looked Kaida up and down quickly and then blurted, “Are you a Senshi?” Or a Knight? Anyone not in the Negaverse, maybe? Hopefully.

Was the cat talking? ...Yup. The cat was talking and there were evil whatsit dogs. Because of course the evening went from zero to what the frell in a matter of seconds, but the cat, at least, seemed friendly. Friendly enough Siv didn't scream, and do something stupid. ....Plus Destiny City was also bizarre at large and when one of the youma tried moving, Siv spun the bag around her hand again and grumbled. "I'll ask what senshi are later, kitty cat -- surely if you hit something hard enough with something weighted it'll--" One of the ytouma then gave a cry somewhere between a howl, a scream, a fox, and whom knew what and lunged for them without warning, and Siv yelped, trying to smack one away. The others followed, some watching, some trying for the lot as if thery thought they would be easy. Not pleasant, Siv determined, to frame thjings far more politely than her mind was thinking, which was actually a lot of swearing and trying to hit the thing. "CRAP CRAP CRAP CRTAP CRAP!"

Of all the things Kaida was expecting, it wasn't a guardian cat. "********." She didn't get a chance to say anything else before one of the youma launched at them, followed by others, and the plump woman mentally said '******** it', thrusting her hand into her purse again, hand clenching around her henshin pen. The cat had already blown things so, there was no real point in keeping 'low'. "Yes, I'm a senshi." She held the pen up. "Hyakutake Power, Make Up!" A split second of bright light later, and the now-senshi moved to bodily tackle one of the youma.
"If we can get some distance, I can put up a barrier!"

To her credit, Siv was doing her best to try and fight off the youma. She just wasn’t equipped with particularly effective weapons.
But, even better than that, Kaida was a senshi. Which made it in incredibly easy to piece together which of the two he’d been able to sense. He was small, thankfully, and able to easily avoid the agitated youma. He pulled a pen from subspace.
“We’ll do distance in a minute. You there, listen to me,” he said firmly. Soleiyu was a big cat, but there was some power behind his muscles, and he leapt up so he could push the Henshin Pen he’d just retrieved into Siv’s hand. Easier to get it to her than to get her to him.
“Do what she did, just like that. But I need you to say Oumuamua Power, Make Up instead! And I need you to do it fast if you want to make it out of here in one piece!”

The youma vaulted off of Siv the moment ir spied Soleiyu even as Hyakutake powered; the companions -- now plainly seen as smaller in size, indicating the likelihood they had some form of pack structure; regardless, the smaller youma launched at Hyakutake, teeth bared. eyes gleaming as they gave a loud cry between a fox call, a tiger, and a human scream in sound, the 'leader' trying to chase Soleiyu down as if offended by his mere effort to do his job. Siv, however, was equally opportunistic, however, clutching the pen for dear life. She wasn't entirely sure what to expect now, beyond maybe some sort of... Was her sister in a yukata? Either way, Siv did as bidden, if with flourish. "Oumuamua power, Make Up!" It sounded so corny, like one of Kaida's shounen anime that Siv pretended not to watch (and did if it wasn't overly girly girl), but in a moment suddenly the street lights were blocked, and slowly the newly awakened senshi's hand rose to the sudden wide brim witches hat in surprise. "What the--" And the lesser youma cried again, and Oumuamua blinked. "Right! Problem time, right, right, shite, don't get distracted -- sorry." And the new senshi eyed the youma. "...So... I'm in heels... Kick it?" She looked around in some concern, then shrugged and moved to, well... Kick one of them. She was trying, at least. TRYING being the operative word.

Hyakutake was...a bit confused...until she realized why the Mauvian had said they'd get away in a moment. Namely that her sister was a senshi. Her sister. Okay. Okay. She could deal with the repercussions of this later.
"Okay! That uh...right. Right. Come on you two, she's powered up, let's get some distance so we can hash out a plan and not end up monster food!" With that, she moved to try and yank her sister away and hopefully pick up the Mauvian so they could get some space between them and the canine youma.

Hyakutake had an excellent suggestion, and senshi could run faster than civilians so he thought it was an excellent idea to get out of here while they had the advantage.
“Go!” Soleiyu instructed, carefully perched on Oumuamua’s shoulders. He was out of reach of the youma, for now, and he wasn’t going to topple off. He was careful not to dig his claws into her shoulder but it was definitely a good idea to put some distance between them.
“Unless you’re willing to try your magic on them now,” but when you didn’t know what your magic could do, intuition wasn’t always the best guidance. He didn't know what the other Senshi could do, either, so he was happy to let her take the lead and guide them away from the youma.
He didn’t want to lose his brand new Senshi, not before she even had a fighting chance.

Running? From demon dogs? ... That was the plan? Kaida's magical girl animes lied to her. She'd had 75% expectation this magic thing would result in some sparkly sequence of her sister cornered or something and in the last moment, Oumuamua would magically save the day with some kind of awesome, excessively girly spell that did something impressive that turned the damn youma into flowers or something equally frilly and dramatic. Nope, the plan was a hasty retreat. .... Maybe it was more like her shounen animes?... Maybe? [ Oh well, she'd run, and the senshi suddenly moved. As Siv, the woman was, while preferring to reside indoors and away from the burning ball of plasma and helium known as Sol, did have a great skill at hauling tail, especially since she'd almost ended up at St. Magsdelena at least twice for fighting. -- stupid reasoning, considering she was finishing a fight -- but keeping in reasonable shape also meant her Vampire: The Masquerade LARP was more convincing.... And honestly she looked fantastic in a gown. So, she sprinted, taking an experimental leap over a bench a moment, before picking up on the difference of being powered as they ran. " Huh." Oumuamua remarked, looking to Hyakutake, then Soleiyu. "You know what this magic would be fantastic in? A LARP. Much fun, would attempt." Well, she was trying, even as the youma dogs began to try giving chase, their horrible cries echoing after. And those sounds were cursed, in Oumuamua's opinion. quote="Kyuseisha no Hikari"]]

"We can try magic once we've got a little bit of breathing room." Okay. She wasn't a high-powered senshi, but...she did have more experience under her belt than her sister. So...looked like she was going to be playing 'mentor', at least for the moment. "Do we...even know what her sphere is?" And then she looked at the other senshi with a flat look.
"...We are not using senshi magic in LARP." She tried to ignore the sounds the youma made, beyond that they were indications the creatures were still chasing them and not some poor civilian. "In another block or so, I think there's a space where it would be to our advantage if I used my shield. It keeps regular youma and power levels similar to mine out for a short bit."

Soleiyu huffed indignantly. “I am an incredibly competent Mauvian, of course I know her sphere! I thought you’d like to maybe be alive long enough to hear it! But you can’t judge me. You have to understand that I don’t pick these things–it’s just what your starseed is attuned to. I’ll explain that later, but–no, do not use your magic in a LARP. If you want to fight the youma, you can–you just need to do enough damage to dust them. Just be careful.”
He was still holding on, though now he seemed to have gotten much better footing. “Oumuamua, you’re the Senshi of Beer. And if you’re going to use your magic, you just have to look inside yourself and it’ll come naturally. Just be careful, don’t push yourself too hard. I don’t want you getting hurt or biting off more than you can chew.”

"I mean, it was an idea." Oumuamua didn't sound upset she couldn't use magic in a LARP, though. "Just means I'm going to be having some fun trying out this whole magic thing later. For science." Also because she was absolutely faswcinated. If it wasn't Special Fancy Sjoujo, then there was no reason not to have fun seeing what she could do, and Oumuamua made a humming sound, considering her sister's response, and Soleiyu's, before looking around. Free, at least, of the allery, the side street wass roomier -- enough Oumuamua, far too used to playing rogues and other high INT characters (Like a Boss, in her opinion), put the brakes on rapidly, ignoring the heels easily enough. " Beer." Oumuamua repeated, and then uttered a low snicker. "Congratulations, sis -- confirmed proof I'm the worse disaster between us. You prep this shield thing, I'mma se...." She3 pivoted on her heels, remarkably well. Enough 'polite society' situations made her familiar with heels enough to keepo from breaking an ankle, and the senshi hummed, seeing if she could figure this magic thing out. Try was the operative term. She suspected it qwas magic, and let the motions come, minding thew approaching youima rapidly before raising both hands experimentally. Fortunately, likely for everyone else's patience with the eccentric woman, she was also quick, woking out what her instincts were beating her with. "Blonde Breaker?" Was that it? It seemed like it! The spell seemed to take, a mass of blonde beer trying to coalesce -- for all of a moment. And then it began to wobble, andf shake, and distort, before exploding, instead of being able to complete itself. It splashed everywhere, and rapidly, Oumuamua wincing and scrunching her face4 up in irritation before moving more defensively -- moving so the perch Soleiyu held was blocked by the majority of her body as she hissed. She was soaked, and most displeased. "Okay, so, Shield, let's do my sister's plan bevcause that was a resounding disaster I'm not trying again. Does anyone else think heels might off them? Maybe? An idea? Otherwise I have none." What SHOULD have Happened Sailor Scout Attack: Blonde Breaker Sailor Oumuamua raises her hands like casting witchy magic, causing two blonde beer hands to rise. These hands smell like barley, wheat, and seasonal fruits (berries, pumpkins, ETC), but lack any alcoholic scent. They are 4 feet tall from bottom of the palm to the tip of the longest finger, 1 foot thick, and can be used to slow an attack or to push someone by responding to Oumeamea's hands, and may only provide barrier or push to one person. They last 30 seconds, and are basically giant beer hands (And so react like conventional fluids to being struck or pushed back against). These can be summoned thee times a day. * Pushing: Targets must be within a 2-3 foot range of Oumeamea, and may be pushed up to 3 feet. After this movement the hands are giant walls of beer at are a pill to press through but can be moved around. (Think about them as giant walls of beer). * Blocking: Sailor Oumeamea may fold the hands into fists to defend those under 4 feet tall with no apparent change in density. Physical Attacks are slowed like moving through fluids (beer!), where magical attacks trying to penetrate are slowed if there is a physical component only (Throwing tin cans/oranges/ETC); anything without physical components/unaffected by shielding are fine. Bloicking only works if there's something to defend against. The hands may be positioned to block attacks directed at Oumeamea or at someone within a 3 foot radius circle around Oumeamea. * Once positioned, the hands can not be moved. Once they push, they freeze where they stopped; once blocking they will block, and not move, so the hands for blocking need to be a fist or flat in advance. * This beer is magically non-alcoholic, and as such if it ends up in someone's mouth it's not going to risk any unwanted shenannigans. * Since iut backfired, neither option is employed.
