Soleiyu had never been private about what he was working on, and the giant screens and bulbs and wiring on the table was no exception. It wasn’t the first time he’d been programming spotlights, but today he had four he was working on at once. He was waiting for Talia to come home, so when he heard the door unlocking, he turned his head and attention.
“Talia,” he greeted. “Welcome home! Evan says there’s a new restaurant he wants to try, he says he’s picking up dinner and he’ll be home by seven so if you’re hungry now to have a snack. I’ve been waiting for you. And not just because I missed you. Can I borrow you for a moment? I want to talk. Not about anything bad! But I have a Senshi who’s been asking me some questions, and I wanted to know if you’d be interested in answering them for him. I don’t like to give out your information unless I know you’re okay with it, but I don’t think it’s nefarious.”
He looked like he could have continued talking, but just as he opened his mouth to continue, he paused; she’d only just gotten home and he didn’t want to give her an avalanche of attention before she’d had the opportunity to come in and settle down and get comfortable. So, instead of talking, he just jumped off the table to run over and meet her, and he headbutted her leg affectionately.

Talia made her way over to the excited Mauvian and laughed softly even as she shook her head, scooping him up into her arms and planting several kisses on his furry little face. “I love the enthusiasm, tell me what you want from me, if there’s someone who has questions, I mean. I’ll do my best to answer them, but no promises. You know how bad my memory is for…everything.”
Perhaps the former Lysiteha, the one who had been around before last November could have helped but…her? Talia? Talia didn’t know much of anything.
Still, she made her way to the couch and snuggled against Soleiyu, sinking down until she was horizontal, with him on her lap. “You did miss me though, didn’t you? You can’t just say you’ve been waiting for me not because you missed me, Sol, honey. You need to butter people up before asking for favors. Next time tell me that you just absolutely hated me being gone for so long…ham it up okay? I like feeling special!”

“Oh, goodness,” he huffed, and started to knead his paws into her stomach. “You are so silly Talia, of course I missed you. I don’t want to butter you up before asking for a favor, then you’ll think I’m being insincere any time I tell you how important you are to me! You’re very important to me, you know that. And I love you very much. There’s no obligation to help, don’t think I’m going to guilt you into any of it either. It’s just–you know how Todd isn’t from Earth. And you know I’ve met a few other Senshi that are from other worlds, too. I’ve been working with one of them, he’s got all these shadows that are trying to swallow up his world. The light keeps them away, but he’s been using candles and fire and the sort. Which is dangerous, considering his world is always storming. So we’ve been installing these to help keep them at bay–especially since he’s been spending so much time on Earth. But the lights are only a temporary thing. They won’t solve the problem, only hold off the worst of it. So he’s trying to find a way to save his world. It’s Chaos,” Soleiyu clarified, and gave her a few seconds to let that sink in before he continued.
“And it’s been on his world for a long time, Talia, so I don’t know how strong it is. But he hasn’t been able to fight it himself, so he’s looking for any information about Chaos, or how to destroy it. I thought you might be able to talk to him about you overcoming Chaos. Or, maybe if you were interested in getting the Court together to see if you could help. I haven’t offered you or your information to him, I wanted to talk to you first.”

Talia hummed, and tried to look stern, tried to look annoyed, but it didn’t last more than a moment. “I’d love to help, and no, I believe you, I do just like hearing it though, I suppose I’m selfish like that.”
She enjoyed as he snuggled close, kneading her stomach. It tickled.
As he continued speaking, Talia was nodding with a little more enthusiasm. “...I could do that. I would…Love to help. Everything’s chaos though. Isn’t it. All of the problems in the universe is chaos but…” She sighed and leaned down, pressing her forehead against the Mauvian’s. “...I don’t think there can be light without Chaos. Light will always bring shadows, and if he’s trying to keep shadows at bay with lights…he’s only creating others where the light doesn’t touch…I…can understand the issue. What’s his name? When can you introduce us? Or…or set up a meeting? I’ll tell him everything I can. And I’d love to help him fight the Chaos on his world if I can. That’s…frightening.”

Soleiyu butted his forehead against hers encouragingly when she pressed hers to his. “I can set up a meeting for you two, of course. His name is Alastor. I don’t know if he’s making solid plans just yet, but I’m sure he’ll appreciate any assistance. Especially from you.”
He headbutted her back with a bit more enthusiasm, since she wanted him to butter her up.
“Chaos manifests in so many ways, but when it gets too strong, there’s always going to be problems. I think natural chaos is perfectly fine, but it’s when it compresses, when it gets so strong that it actually becomes physical, that’s the problem. I mean, anything that can devour a world is something worth stopping. I’m optimistic that it can be stopped, but…If we’re being honest, I have no idea. He hasn’t taken anyone up to his world so far as I know, so I haven’t been able to get a good reading on the situation, myself. But he seems to think it’s too dangerous to bring others up without proper preparation. We’ll know soon, but. I hope it’s something that can be dealt with. Especially if this is something that might be able to appear on any world. Better to be safe than sorry, I think. I’ll give you his information and we can get something set up. Thank you, Talia. I know he’ll appreciate it. If we can stop it…maybe we can help the others.”
Or figure out a way to fight the Chaos here. Really fight it. Without hurting anyone she cared about.

Talia chuckled softly and nodded, relaxing and tugging Soleiyu closer, scratching the back of his neck gently. “I think so too. It sounds like a good idea. Let me meet him soon, okay? I’d love to do whatever I can…and if I can do anything to heal his world from where the chaos hurt it, I’m good for that too, it might not be ideal but. It’s something that I know I can try to do.”
She was quiet, mulling a few things over and sighed. “I think…I’m going to talk to Malcolm about the group that we used to have…see if we can’t…figure out how to get everything back together again…senshi work better together, after all.”
If they could rejuvenate the court…perhaps that could be another way to help Alastor.
Regardless…it was something she wanted to do anyway.
“Tell him I’m good to meet him whenever he is, Sol. But. Don’t go yet. I’m not done cuddling. And, no offense, but that is the most important thing to me right now.”
