After meeting with Monoceros, Talia began walking around the house, looking for Soleiyu, and when she laid eyes on the large white cat, she scooped him into her arms, holding him like a baby and walked down to the room she shared with Zac. “So. I know all of this only just happened but. I’ve found Monoceros and he’s asked for help in leaving…so on Monday I’m going to do that. Hopefully. If I can’t figure out how to do it on my own, at the very least I can…explain to him how to call Cosmos.”
She flopped onto the bed and lay the Mauvian on her stomach, looking up at him.
“...What I’m really asking is, do you want to come with me? I’d like to not be alone, and I’m afraid of scaring him if I end up bringing someone else, especially after Ilse and I kidnapped him that one time…but you’re round. And lovely and utterly not threatening at all…so…what do you say, Sol? Wanna watch me botch my first ever chance at saving someone?” Hopefully it wouldn’t be a botch but. Still.
His reassurance would be welcomed.

Soleiyu never nagged when Talia picked him up like this; he knew it brought her comfort and–though he would protest otherwise–he didn’t mind it so much either. Even if he felt a bit distorted with his feet poking up and his tail drooping towards the ground as he adjusted.
He hadn’t been involved in anything, just skimming through his phone. It was a good disruption; his eyes would benefit from the break.
“You found Monoceros? Oh, you should tell Zac. And Malcolm. And Evan. I suppose you don’t have to, but they were all so invested.” It traced back to when they were all trying to retrieve her from the Negaverse. He knew the boys hadn’t stopped looking for him since he’d been stolen too.
His tail started swishing immediately in obvious excitement. He didn’t move from atop of her after she laid down, though he did roll a bit so he could look at her–even if it was upside down.
“I want to go with you, of course. You won’t botch it, don’t worry about such things. You’ve helped save youma, it can’t be much different from that, can it? You should have more faith in yourself. I’m perfectly charming and reassuring, I’ll give you my support and keep him calm. I’ll even let him pet me. I’ve heard it’s therapeutic.”

“I’ll tell them all, don’t worry about that, I just…I don’t know. I don’t want an audience for my first try at this, I know that you won’t judge, and if you do I’m sure that you’ll have suggestions with it, but. Ugh.”
Talia chuckled, watching him and then moved her hand to rub at his belly, enjoying as her fingers vanished in his fur. “I have faith in myself, I just. This…is my first solo thing, you know? And…I’m the dumb one who didn’t even realize what had happened when I became…you know. More than just what I am…and had to get at least two of you to convince me. Sometimes I wonder if the whole…corruption and purification made me dumb.”
Maybe not dumb. Anxious, obviously but. She was doing better.
“Petting you is therapeutic. Especially when you purr. That’s my favorite thing,”

“Oh, I don’t blame you for wanting to be safe. You should be careful and do it in a way that you’re comfortable with,” he reassured. “I just know that they’ll feel better knowing that you’ve found him and he’s ready to come over. It was hard enough to lose you, and then him too?”
He clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth and his tail thumped against the bed as he watched her.
“I think everyone could use a bit of good news. But, no. I’m surprised your not worried about me judging, but I like that about you. I’m very judgemental. I just like you very much, Talia. I’ll always be rooting for you. I don’t know that you could do any wrong in my eyes.”
She was his Senshi, after all.
He might have been a Mauvian but he was not immune to the deep purring that was born in the depth of his chest as she pet him. “You’re not dumb.” He purred, a bit louder and certainly more unashamed than he might have been if she hadn’t just said that it was therapeutic for her. “You’ve been through a lot. You know you should be kind to yourself. Things have changed so quickly and you’ve had to adapt to stay on top of everything. You’re doing well, Talia.”

Grinning, Talia laughed softly and nodded. “I know I’m not dumb. Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed, but it is getting better. Every day gets better, but then there are some…it’s like that kids game where you go up the ladder and then down the slide? Like, some days are just slides and at least I’ve stopped trying to fight them. Stopped trying to scramble back up the slide and keep falling backwards but…still. Slide days suck.”
His purring was wonderful. Calming, soothing. Just…wonderful. “I love you, Soleiyu, and I’ll tell all of them what’s going on. They always could use good news, you’re right. And, you’re doing well too, Sol. On the off chance that you needed to hear it, you’re doing really well too. We both are. We’re utterly fantastic! No matter what anyone else wants to think!”

Soleiyu took a moment to consider her words, but he continued to nod and purr as he did so. His tail curled around her twice, now that it was no longer enthusiastically swatting at the bed.
"I love you too, Talia." He was prideful enough to think that he was doing good, but he always liked to hear someone else notice. He wiggled a little closer, struggling to be nearer to her face without actually getting up or digging his claws into anything to get there.
"You're doing good things, Talia. I'm glad you found Monoceros. I'm glad he knows he can still trust you. I appreciate you inviting me along."
He knew there were people in the Negaverse that still wanted to sink their hooks in her, and he wasn't willing to let her go again. He'd gladly stand by her side and have her back for anything she needed.
