To be truthful, it was hard. Hard to not blame Soleiyu still for her…injury. He was the only one who had ever mentioned it, after all. The only one who had seemed to even know that it existed.
Lysithea knew, she did honestly know that he hadn’t caused it. That it wasn’t petty vindictiveness but…there were times that it was so hard to remember that. There were times that she wanted to pick up the large ball of white fluff and just shake him until he fixed whatever was broken, times where she wanted to bundle him up and deposit him in some unknown body of water and just…be done with him but.
When those moments happened, she honestly felt rather sick, and decided instead to do things like inviting him up to her wonder to see the butterflies she had spotted up there before. It was bonding. A time for them to spend together…after all, they were supposed to be bonded…even though…it was hard to feel it. Hard to realize that Soleiyu was supposed to be hers…he didn’t feel like hers.
The corruption and coming back from the corruption had robbed Lysithea of more than just her memories, or…rather it had truly destroyed who she had been because of the lack of memories…regardless…it was still hard.
With a soft sigh, the senshi reached down and scooped Soleiyu into her arms, holding the cat close against her chest for a moment as she pressed the button on her senshi phone that would take them up to space. Up to Lysithea the place.
“Sol,” She murmured as they arrived and she glanced around, hoping to spot one of the butterflies. “…You have to promise to not try and eat the butterflies if we see them. They look so delicate…”

Soleiyu squinted up at her; he laid in her arms, complacent, and his tail twitched pleasantly. “Please, I’m far more dignified than that. I’ve never eaten a bug in my life, and I don’t plan on starting now. Besides, Evan’s spoiled me thoroughly. I’m still full from lunch.”
He pressed close to her, but he seemed thoughtful. His ear was pressed against her chest, not quite like he was listening, but…
There was something there. Something familiar. Something that he thought he recognized, but he wasn’t going to jump to conclusions. He didn’t want to get his hopes up–get her hopes up–without being completely certain.
“I’m looking forward to seeing Lysithea again soon, though. It gets prettier every time we go.”

Lysithea hummed softly, a small smile on her face as she looked around, and then put the cat on the ground, laughing softly as the tall, lavender colored grass seemed to swallow him up. “It is beautiful here, I can’t deny that. Ilse…her Homeworld seems to be coming back to life…and I really…I am terribly envious. Seeing the butterflies…it did help but…”
She paused as one fluttered idly by, its wings glistening in the soft light from some unknown source.
“…Sol, do you remember anything being alive here before I got taken? Do you know…do you know if that might have ruined my world? I worried about that…it…I mean. Obviously a lot of things have caused me a lot of issues but…I just…”
Lysithea drew in a breath and held her hand out, surprised and pleased when the delicate insect landed on her outstretched finger, wings moving slowly, opening and closing.
“Did…everything die because I was gone? Did I ruin everything again?”

It took a second for Soleiyu to recalibrate himself so he could stand just a little taller than the grass. His tail poked up instinctively, just in case it tried to swallow him up again.
“There were flowers here, and grass. Some plants. But there wasn’t any life here, not like creatures. Not like you or me, or the butterflies. These are new. You haven’t ruined anything. I think it’s a sign of healing.”
He was quiet for a moment and looked deep inside himself, deep inside her.
“You’ve been healing, too, you know. I can feel your starseed again. I mean, I could feel it before, but now I feel it. Like how I’m supposed to. Like how I know when it’s ready.”

“Oh…”
Lysithea took a few moments to ponder on all of that, and as she twitched her finger, the butterfly took off again, vanishing into the branches of a nearby tree.
She watched the spot and paused as a strange chirping came to her ears, and when Lysithea glanced around, she saw a pale blue cricket…or…what looked like a cricket at any rate, hanging on to one of the taller blades of grass.
“It’s all healing…but…” Turning to look at Soleiyu, she hesitated, not quite knowing if she should…begin to feel the hope that was rising in her chest, or if she should squash it down once again, just in case he wasn’t saying what she thought he was saying.
“...Ready for what? Do you…do you think it’s…that I mean..” Drawing in a breath she crouched down and picked the cat up again, holding him under the armpits, looking right into his deep purple eyes and swallowing. “...Are you saying that…You think you can bring me back to an Eternal Senshi…?”

Soleiyu watched as she admired her world, as she immersed herself in it. In all of the life she had helped restore. When she scooped him up again he was in an indignant pose, but he allowed it because he wanted to be able to look into her eyes this closely when he told her, “Yes.”
He said it evenly, firmly. Warmly.
“I can feel your starseed. It’s got this pleasant hum about it. There’s energy there again, it’s ready to grow again.” His tail twitched, just a little burst of enthusiasm, but he managed to keep himself in check.
“If you’ll let me, I’d like to borrow your pen for a moment. I think…I mean, I know you’re ready. I can feel it.”

“If I’d let you…” Lysithea scoffed and hesitated, bringing him closer and pressing a kiss to the tip of his stupid little nose, unable to resist the urge. “Of course I’d let you. This is…I mean. This is the only thing I’ve wanted for…ages.” She swallowed hard and put him down, holding out her henshin pen after a moment’s thought.
This was it. If he knew…if she was really ready…if…Oh.
Of course she was ready. She had been ready for the longest time but…it hadn’t been enough. Nothing had been enough, though…
Lysithea placed the pen on Soleiyu’s paws and looked…almost conflicted. “...Why now? I mean. Isn’t it too…clean cut. Did you really just…”
She snapped her mouth shut and sighed. “...This isn't just you getting cold paws because I called you out on me still being a super senshi? This isn’t just…you changing your mind…there was actually something wrong…and now it’s just…suddenly better?”

Soleiyu snorted but he had a smile on his face the whole time. His heart was pounding, maybe because of nerves. Maybe because of excitement.
Maybe both.
He wanted this for her, so badly. She’d worked so hard for this, wanted this–for so long.
He took her pen with the upmost delicately, cradled it between both paws, and then went to work. He’d done this before, many times before, but this time was different. Special, in a way it hadn’t ever been before. Every awakening, every promotion, was important.
But he’d been hoping for this for so long, too.
He wanted to give her a reason to trust him. To believe in him. To understand that this wasn’t his choice.
He wanted to make sure she didn’t have any reason to be upset with him.
Seconds passed, a minute.
The pen was finished, but he checked it over once, twice. He handed it back to her.
“It’s all you, Lysithea. You know what to do.”

Lysithea drew in a deep breath and took the pen back, rolling it through her fingers and swallowing hard. “I…yeah. Yeah I suppose I do.”
She didn’t want to admit that she was nervous. That she was afraid…that…she was worried to the point of making herself sick that this wouldn’t work. That this…was simply a fluke. Or a joke or. Or whatever. Soleiyu wasn’t cruel...she did know that much but…
This was just something that she wanted for so long. “Lysithea Eternal Power…Make Up.”
The words were spoken with a little hesitance, but she was still hopeful. She wanted it to work. Wanted it more than she could describe and…
And it did work.
After a moment and a strange light show that always accompanied the transformation process, Lysithea stood there, an Eternal Senshi once again. Drawing in another sharp breath, Lysithea tried to hold back tears as she took in her new outfit…it was…
Beautiful.
“Ah…It’s…different than what I remember…of course it’s…lighter. It’s not black and…” She twisted her head to look at the wings that rested on her hips. “...These are prettier than the bat wings…"

Soleiyu watched the lights, watch the magic wash over her. Her energy level changed. She changed.
He looked at her proudly. Excitedly.
He knew she could do it.
And now she had.
So much of it was familiar, but so much of it was new. “You look stunning, Lysithea. How do you feel?”

Lysithea gave a little sigh and managed a small smile. “...I feel good. I feel…a lot more…I mean. I just…” She swallowed and bit down hard on her lip to stop herself from bursting into tears the way she wanted to but…
Leaning down, Lysithea reached down and scooped Soleiyu up, holding him close and pressing several kisses to his face. “...Thank you…thank you, Sol. I…Thank you.”
Drawing in a long breath she pressed her forehead against the Mauvian’s. “...Let’s go home. We should show this off to everyone…I hope that they’ll be as excited as I am…I…”
She kissed his nose once more and then withdrew her phone once again, ready to go home and to figure out just what she could do now that she was strong once again.
