Backdated to November 15Eating the mac and cheese had been a bit of a mistake, and Talia knew it after she had stared at the bowl that Evan put in front of her. It was comfort food, absolutely comfort food…but after the cheese fries, it all sat very heavily on her stomach.
She had said goodnight to Evan and given him one last, long hug before he was taken away by Tobias, and she took the time to get herself a shower, relaxing as the hot water melted away some of the aches she hadn’t realized were there.
Leaving the bathroom clad in her softest pajamas, she paused, giving a little, half amused smile at seeing Soleiyu perched on the bed, obviously waiting for her. “Hey cutie pie. I hope that you’re here to snuggle with me tonight, Zac’s working real late and I’m completely beat. I’m glad that you’re here!”
And she was, having a little purring heating pad was always good for the nerves and whatever else ailed you.
Though, Talia hesitated. “Everything’s okay, right? You are just here to cuddle and because you love me, right? Nobody’s in danger or anything?”

“You took forever in the shower, Talia. You have no idea how hard it was not to just come in and tell you I needed to talk. I didn’t get a chance to hear about your trip to Lysithea.”
His tail twitched behind him, almost impatiently–expectantly–but he couldn’t stay seated for long and he was on all four feet almost immediately. He didn’t take his eyes off of her; he was curious. Needy. There was a mystery, and he wanted answers.
Something didn’t quite add up and he was determined to connect the pieces.
“I met a Knight today. I mean, a Page. She was freshly awakened this afternoon. Except, she wasn’t just any Page. She was a Page of Lysithea. And that’s the first I’ve ever met, so I wanted to know if you knew anything about that.”

Talia paused and then gave a snort, shaking her head and sitting on the edge of the bed. “I was kind of stinky, Sol. You wouldn’t want to cuddle with a stinky Talia, goodness though, it seems like…”
As he spoke, her eyes grew wide and she hesitated, finally falling backwards with a soft huff, staring up at the ceiling. “...There was some trouble up there. I guess. There was this pond? Pool? Something? Anyway. I saw a memory of the past Lysithea doing something to it…getting…honestly it looked like chaos to me, different though. More like Alastor Chaos. Just…discontent or something I don’t know. But it had been festering since the last Lysithea was there and she would have to purify the pool every year or it would get out of control…anyway my unicorn, the one I told you about? She was…infected by the chaos? She was vicious and kind of awful so we helped…Um.”
Sitting up, Talia frowned slightly. “Are you sure it was a Page of Lysithea? How is that possible? I mean…Evan mentioned something about me…being stronger than an Eternal Senshi and that he’s never seen it before but…I…how?”

The story about Lysithea sounded unfamiliar to him; it wasn’t a place he recognized, and it wasn’t a story or ritual that he easily recalled. His brows furrowed just slightly while he listened, but by the end of it all he was nodding slowly.
“Of course I’m sure it was a Knight of Lysithea. Her name was Stirling. She had your symbol on her dress. She was young, I was there when she picked up her weapon. She didn’t seem to know what was going on so I doubt she was lying to me. I’ve got her contact information, I told her I wanted to keep in touch.”
He sat down in front of her finally, but his tail twitched now more than ever, and made a solid thumping noise every time it hit the bed. “When you say stronger, what do you mean? What happened?”

Talia shrugged and reached out, drawing the cat close to her, rubbing her hands against his soft ears. “Well…I mean. The court wand did nothing, we couldn’t figure out how to purify the water, and I don’t know, this pretty crystal came in front of me and I grabbed it and…there was a lot of light and stuff, Evan said that I had gotten stronger but…it was really a blur, all I know is I was able to make the water clear again…so that was the most important thing to me. I had figured it was some kind of a homeworld thing…you know? Like…if it was a ritual that had to be done, it was just giving me the tools to do it…or…or something.”
…But that made absolutely no sense as to where a knight...or a Page of Lysithea had come from.
Honestly, the thought made her feel a little bit dizzy. “What do you think’s going on? I mean…I really…don’t know.”

It was almost impossible not to purr but Soleiyu didn’t want to miss anything she had to say so he had to shove the noise down.
A crystal appeared in front of her? She got stronger? She purified the water, it sounded like.
“...If you’re dizzy, we don’t have to think too much about it right now. That’s a lot to sink in,” Soleiyu said, and pressed his forehead into her hand. “A lot to process. It doesn’t sound normal. Not the sort of normal I’ve seen and experienced. Not really like anything I’ve heard of. Which doesn’t mean it’s bad, it just means…”
He drew in a breath.
“Well, it means it’s different.” And, different could be good. Or, it could be dangerous.
“Either way, it’s worth keeping our eyes on. You’ll have to rest tonight and get your strength back, I have a feeling things are going to be a bit busier for you. If someone needs help, you’d be there for them no matter what, but…I’ve only ever known Royal Senshi to have Knights. The ones who can do things like purify the chaos out of someone. Like what Cosmos did for you.”

Talia stared at Soleiyu for a moment, uncomprehending but…not…unhappy with the statement. It just. Sounded fake. “Wait…Royal Senshi like…like Ganymede? But…n-no…I mean…I’m just. That…”
Her brows were furrowed, but…it did seem…like a statement that had some weight to it…and…if it was the case. “...So…so you’re saying I wouldn’t need to call Cosmos again? She can just. Do whatever she has to do at her giant soul soup pot and I can take care of people here? You’re…we have to figure out if this is the case, Sol. But…”
Grimacing, Talia turned and lay on the bed the right way this time, drawing the Mauvian beside her and pressing her face into his fur for a moment as she tried to organize her thoughts…at least. As much as they could be organized.
“...Tomorrow. Malus said about going to his homeworld and figuring out what was going on, if you’d like to come with us? I don’t…I mean I don’t want to do anything here…if that is the case…I don’t want people to know if they don’t have to…”
Of course…if she had knights running around…
That would be a pretty big giveaway. “Tell me about this Page? I can’t promise that I’m going to be awake for long…but tell me about this Lysithea Page that you met! I want to know everything!”

Soleiyu lay still while Talia pressed her face into him, and though his tail danced behind him he still seemed relaxed. There was plenty to contemplate about all of this, and the offer to go with them to investigate it immediately caught his attention. “I’d like to go with you, yes. If you do have the same abilities as a Royal, we’ll be able to find out pretty quickly, I think.”
He wasn't sure how, or why, but if it had happened it had to be a blessing, right? The Court had put so much effort into helping people–to have all of the resources right there, to know that they were enough—
“She’s young. And confused. And she’s had a hard time with things. It was emotional, but she has two friends–you know the boys I told you about. They had a bit of an argument, if you could call it that, but I think it’ll work out. She’s curious. She seems like she wants to give it her all. She’s interested in meeting you, I told her all about you, too.”
And--he could have told her more, but when he turned to look to Talia, her eyes were already closed.
