Lysithea had sat beside Fang and was playing with his hair, unable to stop herself. It was soft, and it seemed to be soothing for him, so…why not.
She had sent a message to Soleiyu, giving their location and a brief message saying that she found some kind of lost…wolf…senshi, and that if he could please come…she would be very grateful. It wasn’t as though Fang could..or should just walk around with his ears and tail hanging out. If the Negaverse didn’t try to get their hands on him…the government would, she was sure.
And since he was here with her. Since she had found him…he was kind of hers now. Her responsibility. Her friend.
It felt…
Familiar. Like the fact she was helping the strange and unusual…
Oh.
Her mind went back to Faustite, to her reaction to him, to the need to help him. The need to keep him safe…
It was an interesting thought, and she supposed that it honestly…fit with what Evan had told her about herself before she was corrupted. Perhaps…she was something of the same person still, even if she couldn't truly realize it.
What a strangely comforting thought.

Oh, what was Lysithea getting into. Soleiyu’s stomach was churning the whole way over. He expected the worst, but that just seemed to be the norm these days. He felt her signature, and a second, and it helped hone in on exactly where he needed to be. Her directions had been nearly perfect, so it hadn’t been hard to find her, but of course he worried.
She looked okay. Comfortable, even! Reassuring! Being sweet on some furry eared Senshi boy.
Oh, oh no. Another one that looked different. Okay, that wasn’t bad. That wasn’t the worst. It was okay. Lysithea looked like she had this under control. He hurried over and slowed from his run to a trot, and then just flopped down into a seated position in front of them. He managed to look dignified and poised, because first impressions were important.
“I came as fast as I could. What’s going on, who is this?”
And a thousand other questions he thought loudly enough that he was certain Lysithea could hear them even without saying it out loud.
Are you okay? What’s the plan? Is he trustworthy? Are you safe? Where did he come from? Are you bringing him home? Did you tell anyone else? Did he just get here?

Fang had very tentatively allowed Lysithea to sit next to him, to pet his hair and ears—he understood, a little. He was strange to her (strange, humans, could they hear?, no tail, how balance?, cold?) and she was to him. And it felt sooo nice. He ate as the time passed slowly, nibbling curiously on the banana peel. Bitter! He spat it out and very carefully started eating the chips. He'd learned not to eat the wrapping already, and the salty taste was spectacular. The bag was practically licked clean by the time the Mauvian showed up, and he perked up, ears and tail twitching. "Fang," he said proudly, laying a greasy hand on his chest. "Well met. Name?" He tilted his head curiously, expectantly at the Mauvian (meow. meow meow. soft fur. miss Mauvian friend. sad.).

Lysithea relaxed when Soleiyu showed up and patted her leg, half hoping he’d come cuddle her. She didn’t often initiate contact with him anymore…but.
“Yeah, Sol, this is Fang. I just met him, and I want to bring him home with us but…I was hoping you could help out with the ears and tail? You mentioned something about another senshi with a tail, I think. Fang, this is Soleiyu, he’s my partner and my very good friend…he’s…been my bonded cat for…well. Forever, I think.”
She couldn’t meet the Mauvian’s eyes with this declaration. It wasn’t something she had ever said to him, obviously he knew it, but…she hadn’t let him know that she believed it yet. Hadn’t mentioned the memories or…whatever she had seen when she went to her Homeworld.
“He’s going to know just what to do, Fang. And then we’ll get more food for you. There’s a lot of amazing food at home.”
And obviously, he would be coming home. If the others had something to say about it…well. She’d just move out. Like she kept threatening. But…hopefully she wouldn’t have to. She did like it there…

Soleiyu recognized the gesture and almost immediately came over; when he did so, hep planted his feet on her legs so he could peer over them and look at Fang.
“I do know just what to do.”
He was a bit excited, maybe a little worried. He didn’t start purring, but he did start kneading gently into her leg before he caught himself. “Let me just–It’ll only take a moment. It’s nice to meet you, Fang. I’m very good at my job.”
His tail swished behind him. “And I’m a professional. An expert, even. Let me just make you something real fast. You don’t have a Senshi Phone, do you? Does he?” he looked up to Lysithea and then readjusted his position so he could fish around in subspace and get started on this project. Thankfully, he had an array of pieces and projects very nearly finished, and he loved being prepared. So much so that he loved to show it off frequently. Like, now, in front of his bonded Senshi and her new friend.
“If not, I can take care of that, too. It’ll only take a moment. Then we’ll get you out of here and home and comfortable. Fang, I’m sure you’ve already told Lysithea, but can I pick your brain, too? I’d be very interested to hear about where you’ve come from while I work.”
If she was going to be bringing him home, he ought to know who he was. The others could deal with it, but Soleiyu needed his information.

Soleiyu. Okay. Fang wanted to repeat it aloud, but he stopped himself, thinking it would probably be rude. Right? He wasn't quite sure anymore, but staying silent seemed the best route. (silence. terror. alone). He perked up at the mention of more amazing food, looking at Lysithea in awe. Could it get any better than this simple fruit and strange, salty and crispy... whatever they were? Lots of food... he could scarcely imagine it. ( hunger hunger aching gnawing painful HUNGER). The Mauvian jumped closer and he startled a bit, realizing he hadn't been paying enough attention, too distracted by the idea of food. "Senshi phone?" he repeated, blinking slowly at the Mauvian. "What's that? Help me... with..." He covered his ears with his hands, suddenly feeling very conscious of them and his tail. Parts of his body Lysithea didn't have. Would it be very bad for him to have them on Earth? Was Earth not friendly with those that were not human anymore? His throat squeezed painfully and he shut his eyes. He didn't want to get rid of them. To hide them. They all were part of his body language, he couldn't. They made communication so much easier. Talking hurt. "Bad?" he asked quietly, trying to force his voice not to tremble, unsuccessfully. "Not... safe? For ears? For tail? For Fang to be Fang?" Dimly he recognized that he'd been asked a question, but his tongue felt swollen and dry and talking was so much harder. (talk. people. people gone. no talk, long time. hurt). "Talk. Hard," he forced out with a grunt. "Try? But. Water?" He started panting, trying to relax his throat muscles so he wouldn't be so tense. Wouldn't hurt his body. (tired, so tired).

Lysithea stroked down Soleiyu’s back and gently tugged on Fang’s ear, shaking her head. “They’re not bad, Fang. They’re part of you, and they’re wonderful! But, they’ll make it easy for chaos to find you, so we have to hide them some, so that you can blend in better!” She nuzzled close to the senshi, her arm wrapping around him and squeezing gently. “Fang should always be Fang, because Fang is wonderful.
She pulled a bottle of water from subspace and opened it for him, handing it out. “Here. Don’t worry, Fang. We’re here to help you. Everything’s going to be fine, Soleiyu and I are your friends.”
She held her own phone out. “Like this. It lets us communicate with other senshi and Knights too. There’s a lot of things that can be done with them, it’s very useful, I’ll be happy to be your first friend in there.”

Lysithea was doing a good job explaining anything, so as Soleiyu continued to tinker, he fished around until he found something that he thought Fang might appreciate–an old tooth, petrified and dulled by age and wear. A fang if he ever saw one, nearly two inches long. Something stylish that he could work the glamour into.
“You don’t have to talk,” he reassured. “I have a lot of questions, but don’t make yourself uncomfortable on my account. Earth is a big, scary place sometimes. We can give you the full information when we’re safe. But we’re going to want you to power down so we can go home and be safe and not worry about any of those bad, dangerous people finding us. But the food’s there. It’ll be warm, and safe. You’ll be able to sleep without worrying. You won’t have to wear this when we’re at home, just where other people are.”
He passed the completed earring over so he could put it on when he powered down, and immediately fished out a Senshi Phone before pushing it over to Fang.
Because Soleiyu had made it, it was perfect, and he’d set a picture of himself looking rather majestic for the background. Fang could change it later, if he wanted to. (But he wouldn’t, there was no better picture.)
“I know it’s a lot,” he said gently. “Earth is a strange place. We haven’t had visitors in a long time, so people who look differently might be surprising. And while you’re just settling in, we want you to be as safe as possible. We’ve only just met you, we don’t want to lose you. I’ll talk enough for all of us, you just rest, Fang. Lysithea is very sweet, and very clever. And she has very good friends who will all want to help you, too.”

Fang tensed a bit at the ear tug and the hug (touch, alive) but relaxed into it, carefully and slowly hugging back and fighting the wave of emotion that tried to sweep through him. He needed to shove that into a mental burrow and cover it up until he was alone again. Right now, he needed to figure out more of what was going on. What was happening to him. He gratefully and curiously took the bottle, giving the opening a little sniff (strange, clean) and sipping at it. Oh. This water tasted weird. But it was water and it was wet and his body screamed at him to chug it, but he knew taking it slow was important, so he slowly sipped at it as his tongue finally started to un-swell and his throat felt less like it was constantly choking him. He took the earring from Soleiyu and carefully fixed it to his ear, the glamour disappearing his ears and tail with a startled yelp from him, despite having expected it. Huh. That felt... so wrong. But... he had to, for now. Because Earth seemed to have forgotten that others existed. (He'd forgotten for a long time, too). "Don't want to lose you, either," he echoed, nodding. "Thank you." The phone in his hand was a curious object, and he jabbed his fingers at it forcefully, frowning when it didn't seem to do much of anything. The flat screen was so odd to him. He liked buttons better, he decided, like when he was a kid. Buttons were on everything techy. "Home?" he asked, frowning a bit when his strange glamored ears didn't twitch in anticipation like he'd expected. (weird, wrong).

Lysithea watched as Fang’s cute ears and tail vanished, and made the rash decision that she didn’t like the glamor very much. It was necessary though. She knew that but.
Reaching out again, she stroked where the ear had been. “Home, Fang. You’re safe and you made it, and we’re here for you always.”
She could help him. Finally, here was someone that truly needed her…and she was more than happy to rise to the need. Slowly, Lysithea rose to her feet and held a hand out to the strange senshi. “Come on, we’ll go home now and you can share my nest tonight, if you want. Or, the couch would work too, whatever keeps you the most comfortable. And I’ll make you something good to eat and…oh Fang! I think you’re going to really love Earth when all of the confusion has gone…I know I do.”
Dipping down for a moment, Lysithea scooped Soleiyu into her arms too, though nudged him towards her shoulders. Regardless...she waned to be close to him for once, and she was going to be close to him while she could.

Oh, this was nice. Soleiyu wanted to reassure Fang as well, but it wasn’t often anymore that Lysithea seemed to want him so close. He wasn’t going to waste the opportunity. He settled himself around her shoulders, draped himself like royalty. He wasn’t a small cat, but he made sure to do his best to keep comfortable and not burden her too much. His tail danced behind them, as if he were rubbing her back.
“You don’t have to wear the earrings when we get home. I can send Evan and Zac a message to let them know, if you want?” he asked Lysithea, though he hadn’t completely taken his eyes off of Fang.
There was a lot to learn about Earth, but he didn’t seem too dangerous. He’d have to talk to Talia about it later, maybe in private. Probably in private. But if she was going to look after him for now, he wasn’t going to separate them.
…He was just going to do his best to keep his eye on them both and keep them safe.

Fang leaned into Lysithea's touch, missing his ears. It felt better with his normal ears. Still, any touch was nice, now. When was the last... (dark, dark, sickness, death). He shook his head to free it of those thoughts and nodded at the both of them, powering down so they could walk out. Walk... home. He hesitated for a moment, but decided he'd share his name with them when he was home with them. Better safe than sorry, in case someone was listening somehow. His ears itched to twitch and seek out others, but these flimsy and unflappable ears hardly directed sound the way he needed them to. "Home," he said firmly, giving a very toothy smile full of fangs. ... it probably looked more vicious than he intended, but he was severely out of practice.
