People watching wasn't something Iolite ever thought she would do, but here she was. Sitting on a stone wall in the middle of the park, watching as people walked by with seemingly little care. Occasionally someone would stop and try to pet her, or call her over. One or two even took a picture on their phone, but she simply yawned and ignored them for the most part. She wasn't sure how long she'd spent there, probably a couple of hours, but at the moment she wasn't entirely sure what else to do. The small group of people she could call upon was becoming quite scarce. And if she were honest... a sort of anxiousness had set in for her every time she roamed the hallways and offices of the Negaverse. She flattened her ears to the back of her head, trying to shake the looming thoughts. Her ears perked though, as a aura suddenly bloomed on her senses. Iolite blinked. Was that another cat? She looked around for a few moments before her eyes finally fell on a white form.

Soleiyu really hadn’t been planning on stopping to talk today; he had business to take care of, and now that Lysithea–Talia–was back he really wanted to make sure he was spending his time with her. But, she had Evan to look after her right now. And Malcolm. And Rosie. And everyone, honestly.
And, he’d sort of spent a lot of time just laying on her, so he knew he should be at least a little productive.
He’d been so focused that he hadn’t even seen the other Mauvian until he was nearly on top of her.
He locked eyes with her but didn’t stop walking. He almost even kept walking past her, but at the last second he turned to the right and hopped up to sit next to her. “Brazen, aren’t you? Anyone could see you out here like this. Are you looking for someone or looking for trouble?”

Iolite didn't make a sound as the other Mauvian caught sight of her. The tip of her tail twitched, as she watched him. What would he do. Would he start a fight? Call for others? What would she do? She was admittedly surprised, when he suddenly turned on the spot and jumped up on the wall, joining her. That, she hadn't expected to happen, even in her wildest dreams. Iolite sat in stunned silence for a moment before she realized he was addressing her. "Ah... I'm not sure brazen is the word I would use..." She said quietly. Though, she wasn't sure what word she would use herself. Brainless, insane, assinine were all words that jumped to the front of her mind. "I've not felt anyone.. You, are the first that has crossed paths with me with any sort of a signature." Her ears swiveled backwards and she finally tore her gaze from him. What was she looking for? What was she expecting to see? "Neither." She said. "... I suppose I'm just... looking."

Soleiyu was a large cat, impressive by most standards. He carried himself like he knew this, and his every little gesture seemed to reflect poise and grace. Maybe he was showing off because she was a Chaos Mauvian, or maybe he was really just that regal.
His tail must have been heavy, and yet it twitched behind him as if it weighed nothing. “Just looking,” he repeated, with some doubt in his voice. He didn’t trust Chaos very much, not at all after what they’d done to Lysithea.
“I’m surprised the Negaverse doesn’t have you out hunting for Senshi.”
Sniping them. Corrupting them.
He huffed a bit, as if to forcibly dispel the thought. “Well, have you found anything worth looking at?”

Iolite felt small next to the Mauvian. But as of late, that's all she ever felt. Small, like a kitten. Unable to do anything or help anyone. Unable to help herself. She ignored the doubt in his voice. He was allowed to doubt her, he had no reason to believe her. "Mhmm.." She answered softly, before softly. "Yes, cause I totally want to rip people from everything they love, for my own selfish gain." Iolite responded flatly. "Darn. You got me. Foiled again." She snorted as she brought her tail up to wrap around her feet. "Haven't had much practice, I'm afraid. I doubt I would be any good at bringing anyone in." She only seemed to ever make friends with people on the wrong side. Humans... Youma... Senshi that didn't care one way or another... And in the end they all did the same thing. They left her. With another sigh, Iolite frowned. "I don't know. I don't know what I was even looking for, let alone hoping to find." Answers didn't just fall from the sky like that. She glanced at him once more. They don't fall out of the sky, but they do apparently walk past you in a random park. ".... Maybe." She wasn't quite sure yet, but maybe she did find something worth looking at.

It wasn’t the answer Soleiyu had expected, and he looked at her with a curious eye.
“‘Rip people from what they love’ sounds like you don’t think the Negaverse is doing the right thing. It’s not often that I hear someone willing to explore critical thinking. Especially in the Negaverse.”
His tail swished behind him, partly out of curiosity and partly because he was just on edge–just in case.
“Is the Negaverse mistreating you or something? If you don’t agree with them, you don’t have to stay. Just saying. I’ve got all the freedom in the world to follow my heart and do what I want.”

"I mean... It's the same on your side too, isn't it? You have people petitioning mine to change sides. So... what? Are they expected to just give up everything at the chance of something 'better'?" And then what if that didn't work. What if they were ripped from everything... only to have nothing in the end? That wasn't fair. For anyone. Iolite's ears swung back. They didn't lay flat... more like drooped. "No... No one's mistreating me. No one owns me, nor am I boned to anyone. I suppose I'm more like a stray cat then anything else. There are people who care about me but.." They weren't in the Negaverse or any part of Chaos. The Mauvian shrugged. "Are you saying that I can't follow my heart if I'm in chaos??" Probably not. She knew of things that happened to others were quotas not filled, if they went awol or just... generally didn't follow direction. Iolite would be lying if she said she hadn't thought about what could happen to her. "I know I don't have to stay... A friend of mine would be happy to see me out of there but... I don't know. I wouldn't know where to start or what to do." Iolite sighed, turning to look at him again. " This is what I don't like. To give up everything I've ever known, everything that's familiar to me... Do you know how terrifying that is to think about?? Because I do."

Soleiyu tilted his head. “I know a few people who know what that’s like. I could introduce you to them. I can’t help that I’m a little biased against the Negaverse. They’ve hurt people I care about. Taken people from me. Took my bonded Senshi. Totally against her will. Maybe I’m a bit biased, but at least we don’t force people to give everything up. There’s always a choice.”
His tail continued to swish behind him. “I don’t know anything about you, only that you stick out like a sore thumb and that you look sad. And if you’re calling yourself a stray cat--you’re a Mauvian! They should be groveling for your attention! If the Negaverse doesn’t appreciate you,” he scoffed. “Well, I’d leave them. I know my value. And if anyone expects me to awaken senshi and do their bidding, they’d better be making it worth my while. At least the Senshi I’m with now appreciate me. Of course,” he shrugged innocently, “They’re hopeless without me. Always getting into trouble. But I like them. Do you have any friends in the Negaverse? I’m Soleiyu, by the way. What should I call you?”

"I... suppose that wouldn't be a bad idea..." She admitted. Though she winced when he mentioned snatching up his bonded senshi. "I can not blame you for being biased." Where their roles reversed, Iolite was sure she'd feel the same. "I don't even want to begin to imagine what that must have felt like." She had heard of what happened when an Agent and a Youma bond broke... but hadn't heard to much about what happens when a Senshi and a Mauvian broke... But then again, she wasn't exactly bonded herself. "Now hold on a minute." She huffed. "Just because I am Chaos, doesn't mean I'm going around forcing people into anything. I can respect their answer, even if it's something I might not want to hear. It's their choice in the end, not mine. Yeah, I might ask them again over time, but I'm not about to shove it down their throat like it's my way or the highway. I'm not that chaotic." Though, she wouldn't put it past others in the Negaverse to try. "It may be my job, yes. But, again, I don't want to force people into anything. If they come, they come. If they don't..." Iolite shrugged. She blinked, realizing that she'd never even given him her name. "Ah..." She said somewhat sheepishly. "Okay, don't judge me too hard here but uh... Iolite. My name is Iolite." Well, this wasn't awkward. Nope... Not in the slightest. She cleared her throat, tail twitching restlessly around her paws. "Aha... With all this black fur, you'd think I'd blend in, not stick out..." Oh god... Why was she talking. "I don't know about groveling, but..." Iolite did miss having someone to talk to. Yeah she could talk to Evan now, but there was always that chance of danger, for either of them. Iolite was caught of guard however when she laughed. "Isn't that how it always works though? When the cat's away, the mice will play? I had a few friends, there seemed to be something wrong any time I came around. I thought for a while, they were going to turn my fur... well, as white as yours." God, did she miss them. Miss him. "I did... Once.. But, they've all... left." Guess she was the last one to get the memo. "The only other one would be.. Someone that's like a son to me. Though, he seems to be fairing just fine. He's got himself a whole team of people." Iolite's ear's druped again. Maybe Haymitch would be better off without her too. Iolite shook her head, trying to brush the thought off. "It's nice to meet you Soleiyu."

“Why would I judge you for a name?” he asked. “I might judge you for thinking fur as nice as mine is easy to come by. It’s not easily won.”
He seemed like the sort who didn’t have an issue with keeping himself maintained, no matter how much work needed to go into it.
“But you already seem so morose, so I can’t find it in my heart to harass you right now. I’m sorry for your losses. I don’t have a very favorable opinion of the Negaverse, whether you’re one of the ‘good ones’ or not. No offense. I just don’t like the idea of the natural order being disrupted. That, and I think the Negaverse brings out the worst in people. Have you gone to see any of the people that have left? They might miss you. If you’re lonely, maybe they can help?”

"Mineral name... That's kinda the Negaverse's whole.. thing. Name themselves after a shiny rock." Why, she would never know. Iolite laughed again. "While I am partial to my fur... I admit yours is rather nice. I feel as though I would remember fur like that walking around the Negaverse." Perhaps there were Mauvian's else were that had fur of that caliber, but definitely not in Destiny City. "I've been told before that I am quite sullen and grumpy..." Iolite said with a soft hum. "Harass you say? Are you saying that if I didn't act this way our conversation would have been different?" Still, she was grateful for his sympathy, whether or not she actually deserved it. "None taken. I suppose I would feel the same, were our roles reversed or something like that had happened to me. Though, I suppose I have to agree with you on that... Your side seems to be... far less blood thirsty. Both sides have the same drive but..." There were some things even she wouldn't do, Negaverse or not." "I haven't seen them recently, no. I suppose I've been wary about it. I don't want to get them into more trouble then they've been in. I don't want to see any of them get hurt again. Especially cause of me. I don't know what I would do if they got hurt because I wasn't careful." They all meant so much to her.

Soleiyu’s ear twitched and he tilted his head just slightly. “Metallia keeping you on that short of a leash you can’t even stray a bit?”
He wasn’t good at obeying, Soleiyu probably wouldn’t have done very well in the Negaverse at all.
“You don’t seem sullen and grumpy. You might be keeping bad company if that’s all they have to say about you. I think you should go visit them. Whoever you were close to. Life’s too short to always be cautious. You might miss out on a good opportunity if you’re too busy tip-toeing around. If you give me any names, I can see about finding them. Maybe I can hook you up. Make it look like a ‘chance encounter’.”
…Or maybe they could convince her to leave the Negaverse, too.
If he couldn’t, maybe people she liked could.
A Mauvian had no place to be drenched in such Chaos. And she was miserable! He knew why, that sort of environment was just stifling.

"I suppose I could have. I've heard far stranger names, but that was the one I got stuck with. Suppose I should consider myself lucky I didn't get stuck with some pretentious pet name like...Fifi or... Fluffy." Iolite shuddered at the thought. Iolite tilted her head, considering. "I suppose I should visit... If I'm careful about it, it shouldn't cause any harm..." As long as she didn't make it a routine habit... "Aaah.. That would... help. Searching the city for one person is daunting.." If she had help, maybe she could find him sooner than later. "Uhm... His name is Evan. I'm not sure what his last name is but uhm... Kinda on the shorter side... dark hair. Likes hoodies.." Aaaand she was rambling again. "Human." Well this wasn't awkward....

Soleiyu snorted when she suggested Fluffy for a name; he couldn’t even begin to imagine being referred to as something that sounded so indignant. Mauvian’s weren’t pets, he’d have been offended if anyone insisted as much.
Except, Iolite started talking about someone she knew, and the fur on his back suddenly felt all tingly.
“...I know an Evan,” he said slowly, but it sounded a bit guarded. “...I don’t know if it’s the same one, but you could describe him like that. He runs a food truck these days. I don’t know if it’s the same one you’re thinking of, but my Court purified him. He used to be a youma. Does that sound familiar to you, or is this town just full of short, dark haired, sweater-wearing Evans?”

Iolite smile softly when he snorted. At least she was entertaining him a bit. Though the smile faded and her heart climbed into her throat. It was him. "That's him." She said, her voice suddenly small, choked. Iolite shifted awkwardly, her ears swiveled backwards. He was doing better. That was good at least. She had so many questions, but did she really have the right to ask any? "I'm... I'm glad he's doing good. He didn't deserve that." She'd wanted to help... But was never sure how, or were to start. "I.. I wasn't part of that. I wouldn't do that. Not to him. Not to anyone." Though, he had no reason to believe her. Hell, she didn't believe her. "...Can.. Can I see him?" She asked, her voice cracking and eyes burning. "I don't care if you don't if you keep me at a distance. Keep me from talking. Just... Just let me see him. Please."
