Miss Kitty hadn't seen or heard from Elpis in some time. To be fair, Miss Kitty really didn't use her own phone... Or know what to do to scan numbers... So a lot of meetings involved getting to Elpis' place early at night but she strongly suspected her senshi had moved and now she should track her down. Admittedly, it helped to live with knights, including one dating to engaged to a senshi, but tracking anyone was a chore. So, tonight the Mauvian headed out after dark to just uynwiond. Think. Work on a few thoughts as she wandered the streets, bell collar tinkling as she moved to tell humans she was in appearance a pet cat dressed up by her owbner in enough pink to make it imp[ossible to miss her -- in her mind -- and she looked about, not even hoping to find a new senshi to awaken. No, the Mauvian soon saw in the park on a bench, staring skywards and simply wondering. Were the senshi she awakened okay? Was Elpis okay? And what could she offer others beyopnd claws, fangs, kitty laserrs, and her tiny might? Ugh. A pity machines looked like goobledygook to her. It was... Infuriating.

The pink would have gotten his attention if the energy signature didn't. Soleiyu was out tonight, trying to test a prototype phone he'd been working on at the request of a Senshi he barely knew. Always keen to help out--and show off, Soleiyu had taken up the task.
It was an unusual request--and a simple one, at that, but one that Soleiyu had found required a bit of trial and error to guarantee that the cell phone model he'd just made would never lose service. Not in electric storms, not in metal warehouses, not 'six feet underground with a wall of concrete on top'. The oddly specific request had warranted an explanation, and when Caia had explained why he was asking, naturally Soleiyu had obliged.
He was travelling around the city, certain he had created the perfect phone, but now he was just going out of his way to guarantee it.
So far, his service had been impeccable--and, capable of picking up Wi-Fi from several blocks away. He'd outdone himself, certainly, and he was eager to share the invention not just with the Senshi who had begged for help, but with everyone else he could think of.
He was wearing a little satchel, strapped close to him so he could check the phone regularly and not have to worry about pulling it in and out of subspace constantly, and paused when he saw the other Mauvian.
"Oh," he greeted. "It's been a while since I've run into a Mauvian! I was worried I was the last." Not really; he knew they were at the Headquarters, and he'd seen updates and changes to programming here and there enough to know that someone else was still active. "Where are we all hiding these days?"

Miss Kitty lookewed toiwards the other energy signature, ear flicking a b***h befoire she slowly let herself speak. She generally rarely met other Mauvians -- after being near so many twice, she determined it didn't play nicely with her own need for affection, and besides she has stolen Ally's ferrets and they were as mucxh like children to her as the kitten she raised, and it felt like the majority of Mauvians just didn't respect a momma type, even as Mauvian. So she stayed with her people, and it left her looking for an answer that wasn't paranoid snapping, before speaking. "I'm afraid I can't speak for the others, but as for me, I've humans I live with. Mostly knights." She paused then, and shrugged. "Nice little place. I'm Miss Kitty, and you?" If he made fun of her name, then she sat on him, in her mind. She quite likerd the little Earthen name, for what it was.

Soleiyu seemed interested. "I'm Soleiyu," he greeted; he seemed interested to hear that she lived with Knights, if only because he'd found quite a few to attach himself to as well. "It's nice to meet you. Did you choose that name for yourself, or...?"
He didn't seem particularly judgmental about it, but he was a Mauvian and he was curious. He had no intention of being rude, but neither could he simply curb his need for knowledge, no matter how menial.

"Ah, they chose ne before I awakened. And named me as well. I like it better than the proper kind." The little Abyssynian gave a laugh -- not at him, but at the whiole thing. "Think of it as a welcome home present. My senshi isn't in the house. No idea where she is tonight, but my Ally and her mother are both of Earth. And Ally's date partner is a senshi. I really should get Minkar out more..." It was an offhanded tyhought, but then she looked to Soleiyu. "Forgive me, I love these people like my own. What of you? Where do you live? Any family, chosen or blood?" She asked. Her tone was friendly and pleasant in the moment, but he was providing no reasoin to rile either. And she so rarely tralked to other Mauvians....

Soleiyu nodded understandingly. "Oh, I've got a whole group of them. A lively bunch, always getting into trouble. I don't know what they'd do without me, honestly. But, someone has to watch over them."
He sighed, perhaps a bit dramatically, and drew out the project he was working on to test functionality. Reassured that everything was still going according to plan, he moved to tuck it away again even as he said, "Senshi, Knights, the whole lot of them. I'm even looking after a dog sometimes, too. Really, it's so much trouble. But, I've found my bonded Senshi, and so her family is my own. And I keep picking up strays. It keeps things interesting, at least. And they're always breaking things, so I have plenty to fix. And plenty of worlds to visit."

"Now now, if we're including pets, I do have a normal kitten.. Cat now and two ferrets!... And sort-of what the family has coined "Bitchkitty" but we have abn understanding, I think. She behaves for me, anyhow. As for my bonded senshi...." And along came a highly frustrated expression. "No, my bonded senshi keeps turning up AWOL of late on me. She's always been so good at patrols before and now she avoids pewoiple. I don't get it. She won't ven listen." SIGH. Elps had sa Common Sense problem in the cat's view and she made a face as befit her annoyance at the woman. "I... Like her but IO don't like how bad she ios at communicating. And the low amount of pets -- judgee all you like, ear rubs are nice and someone didn't teach her what to do when someone wants attention." Who didn't understand 'lick lick lick CHOIMP' anyhow?! Sure, licking could be degrading, but the beiung ignored part was worse! SHAME.

Soleiyu hummed. "You should go with with her then, and make sure she stays out of trouble. If my senshi--or anyone under my watch--seems like they're not taking care of themselves, I always go with them. Just in case."
He didn't judge for pets or ear rubs, because he enjoyed them, himself.
"Do you want me to talk some sense into her? I'm very persuasive."

"Actually, she won't tell me where she lives." Miss Kitty sighed slowly, looking frustrated. "We work well together usually, but then she vanisdhed. I don't think it's a corruption case. Elpis has mentioned a court before and I trust they won't let her be corrupted, but they also... I've actually never met them. A pity really. Elpis seems to like them." Miss Kitty sighed, tip of her tail switching before she perked. "Someone else or both of us talking to her might be a wise move." The albino admitted. "Sort of like an intervention, I should think." She paused. "It's a valid threat to dangle my Ally dear too, given... She's a knight. She's not nearly close to Elpids' power level, but iit's the intention -- someone maybe keeping an eye on her, I should think. Aaah, I'm rambling. I'm better with children, I apoologize."

He frowned and tilted his head just slightly. “Your bonded senshi won’t tell you where she’s staying? That’s troublesome.” The name sounded familiar but he couldn’t place ever having met her. He’d heard it before, hadn’t he?
Elpis.
She’d been in Lysithea’s Court. Before he’d awakened.
“No, it’s quite alright,” he said, his little project temporarily forgotten. “Do you know how to reach her? I can be quite convincing. Otherwise, I’ll just have to wander around until I find her.”

Miss Kitty sighed at Elpis' antics and shook her head. "She moved. I... Know where her cousin is. amd while gfshe's awakened, her fTther's not. He's just... Helicoptoring." She made a disgusted face. "Which is why I haven't badgered La,bda Aurigae yety. And it's a shame, too. Elpis likes to train others, I worry she might bee missing out." The Mauvian paused, making a face. "Same tokeeen... I might kick Elpis' butt when I do catch up to her. Seriously." Well she was trying to be honest, but she was annoyed and the Mauvian's tail was "wagging" roughly in anger at things.

Soleiyu hummed and nodded and watched. “Well. Who knows why she’s doing things the way she is. Being a Senshi is hard work! Though. Worrying a Mauvian is practically a crime in itself. If you want to give me any contact information, I can go poking around. I’ve got a lot of things to do so I’m all over the place. I’m testing one of my inventions now. I promised I would make a cell phone that had service anywhere. I think I’ve gotten it perfected, but I can’t give it off if I haven’t tested it in as many ways as I can think of. The city has some dead zones, so I’m just hitting them up to make sure.”

"Contavt... Information...." Miss Kitty blinked, and then seemed to huddle somewhat, visibly looking around to see if they were alone. Satisfied thatn nobody was approaching, the Mauvian finally pinned her ears and looked highly embarressed. "I... I don't... I'm not good.. At that kind of thing." Was she horrible ashamed and normally trying to hide it? Yes. Yes she was. The tip od hwe rail flicked a bit as she avoided Soleiyu's face, observing her paws instead. "I don't.. Know if I can use a phone as a cat either. I know how to use a civilian cell phone? But I dopn't.. I didn't find Elpis during all that. My human familyu was sort of fussing, and... IO didn't really want to risk a sunburn. You woin't.. Tell the others right? I can fight well but not... Not... I can'tmake sense of technology." And that alone got her banned from he'ping with it easily. Still, she was ashamed when it seemed that every other Mauvian was Tony Stark with it copmpared to her, and she didn't want to admit she was more comfortable picking fights with the enemy. Especially if said enemy was bothering her family near the house! Then she could haul the non-Mauvian cats along to fight them! Sand seeing one of them throw down sounded fun... Heh. A thoiught for later.

Soleiyu blinked and looked at her, for a long moment, but it seemed like he decided not to pass judgement at the end of it all.
“It’s not that big of a deal,” he assured. “We all have our talents. It’s fine. I suppose then...do you have a normal cell phone number I could contact you at? Or, a number I could use to contact someone who knows you? Not understanding technology is fine, we can find some way to work around that. But I’d feel, well. I’d feel terrible if I couldn’t reach you at all. Especially if I’m going to go look for Elpis. I want to be able to contact you and let you know how it went, afterwards. Or, I suppose I could always just tell her to go check in on you…”

"A number?" The mauvian considered, before nodding. "Well, after that... human... Event not yet but my er. human room mates have phones they'd let me use. I can also pass on knight contact, in case Ally powers, or Alex. They're the best, in my book." She nodded, smiling just a little. "As for skills... Well, I've raised kittens. I mind the house's ferrets. I like to take care of others, I suppose. A pity people don't enjoy the presence of a mother hen. I..." This was so weird to admit. "I like to nuture. Which Ally honestly says I should work on more since I'm usually so pushy, according to her. If others listened..." SIGH. "They get weird when I ask for ear rubs for pity's sakes!"
