It was astounding that he'd spent more time as a patient than a doctor in the hospital in the past few months, Priam though, as he leaned back in the chair he was sitting in. They were in an examination room, taking a little while just to collect themselves, to give the doctors time to make sure they were all right before they were sent home.
He sat in one of the chairs, arm folded and resting gently in his lap like it might shatter if he jostled it. He was still pale, even after the blood transfusion. Sterling was next to him, laying down atop the paper covered bed. He was tired, almost too much so to be anxious.
Almost.
They'd given the police a report, stupid and frantic as it was. They'd taken it and left, because they had better things to do than coddle two blood soaked men when there was some deranged robber on the loose.
Soleiyu was pacing the room; he'd managed to sneak in and the bag was empty on the floor. He had his cell phone on the ground and would make one circle around the room and then check it, like that was doing anything to keep him calm. He'd texted Yu, told him where they were.
Priam had made small talk with the doctors, with the nurses--most of which he recognized, but there were some new faces. He'd only needed to ask them to make sure Yu wasn't given trouble when he came to find them, and he was assured that they'd keep an eye out for him and make sure he was allowed in so Priam didn't have to go fetch him. He was so tired, after all. So traumatized. They were all so sympathetic and understanding, he might have felt bad for the manipulation if he'd had the energy for it.
His arm was stitched, and wrapped, because he couldn't stand to look at it. He was afraid to move it, well aware of the possibility of nerve damage. He wanted to live in denial for a little longer. He wanted to hope that it was nerve damage that would heal over time, with a little rest. Maybe a little therapy, at worst.
There was always surgery, but he was tired of people cutting into him, and doctor or not, his stomach kept flipping. Maybe he could manage a trip to his homeworld, or find some healing Senshi, or something, or--
He tilted his head back and exhaled. The air in the room was cold. He wanted to go home. He wanted a distraction, to be somewhere where he didn't have to think about the attack, and everything that lead up to it. He wanted to curl up with Sterling and Yu, to sleep and eat and forget about the rest of the world for long enough that he could face it all again.
He wanted to change out of these clothes.
He wanted to see Yu, to make sure he was all right. To know that he was alive and well, and that this was over.

A light rap of knuckles against the door, almost afraid. “Hey… uh… fancy meeting you here.” Probably the dumbest thing he could have said, but it the first thing he could think of that was -safe- to say now that he had…well… Escaped the room they had finished stitching him up in. They could chase him down after, it wasn’t like he left the building. “It… is everyone … are you both….” he glanced at Sterling and Priam both, eyes darting between them like he might add to their pain by letting his gaze linger too long. “Ilya… um…. says to stop by his place after we’re free here, gave me a key.” He added and reached up to rub the back of his neck, HIs shirt was, dirty, and there were a few bandages visible under it on the opposite shoulder, but he was standing. “He said he’d….take care of the cleanup.” He added and glanced down at his hand before looking back up. He wanted to run to both of them, but god…he really might hurt them both more. “M-maybe after we get out of here, we can do a little picnic in that, the garden you showed me.”

Getting his neck sliced open was not on any sort of list of things that Sterling wanted to ever do again. It seemed like him and Priam kept ending up in the hospital and...perhaps his New Years resolution should simply be to not end up here for a month...that didn’t seem like it would be too difficult...not if everything went according to plan.
His eyes were closed, and he had been trying to rest, whatever the magic bone was that Yu had snapped...it had to have been the same thing that healed Priam...but it had saved his life, undoubtedly.
At the sound of Yu’s voice, Sterling opened his eyes, and managed a smile, his eyes growing warm. “Yu...You...Clean up? I…” he swallowed and held his arms out. “...So we can go home? Ilya’s place is fine...I…” Tears began to fill his eyes. “...I had no idea. Yu, I’m so sorry...I...I let him in I didn’t…”
The words were spilling out before he could think of them and his fingers flexed, wanting to have Yu close. Priam close. “...I would never have...I’m so sorry...this is all my fault…”
His voice was a little hoarse, but not so terrible. It hurt a little to talk, but again...not as bad as he would have figured considering…
God, he hoped that it was all over...

Priam had a smile on his face, warm and relieved, when Yu came in. Walking, in one piece, healthy enough that he was slinking around the hospital. Seeing the bandages on him was a relief, though--if only because he knew that meant that Yu had gotten some treatment. He still wanted to assess the damage himself, later, but he wasn't feeling energetic enough to push for it.
"It wasn't your fault, Sterling," he assured softly, tiredly, and reached over his good hand to gently squeeze his wrist. "It wasn't anyone's fault. If you're going to blame someone, blame Michael."
He wanted to go home. Wanted to go to have a little picnic at his homeworld, and watch the stars, and the lights in the sky, and just lay there. Safe. Away from everything so hectic and troublesome.
He wanted to be there with them, though. It wouldn't be worth it without them.
"The doctor's finished with us, we're staying for a little longer just to make sure we're both all right. I think they're afraid we might go into shock, but I'm feeling better with you here. If I tell them we're ready to leave, I'm sure they'll let us. We just need to call a ride. Are you clear to leave, Yu? Are you all right?" he asked, and he very badly wished he could reach out and hold him. He was reluctant to move his injured arm, and kept it folded in his lap like it was just dead weight.

“Absolutely not your fault!” Yu added emphatically. “At all… Michael was… he…” he shook his head and shuddered with a small grimace. “And I mean, I might have broken some things, and no one needs more stitches…” He added hastily, glancing at Priam in the hopes that he might further that. No one needed to think about what might be staining the floor right now. The…added questions Priam had, because Priam had medical training, and of course he was going to ask. “Uh… “ He managed, before moving closer so he could offer a hand, or at least a touch to both of them, because he needed it, maybe they all did. “… Probably? I may have … slipped out after they finished bandages.” He admitted. He wasn’t going to think about it, all he needed to think about was that it was ‘done’… It was hard even to think that there were things yet to do. Purification, and all that might entail. With a little luck, he’d forget large parts of …today. “We’ll get out of here, and… it’ll be better,” he said trying hard to believe it. No more Michael and no one had reason to think anything amiss was happening with him or Cavansite. It was good… and fine. “You….you’re not in shock right? Shock is like…. bad, and I have no idea what it looks like.” He admitted.

The reassurance of Priam’s hand was wonderful, but when Yu reached for him as well, Sterling clung to his hand and gave a contented sigh. “...I don’t feel like I’m going into shock...you...you’re standing and looking a little battered but...but you’re standing so...that means it’s over. We’re all...alive. And we made it...and now...there’s just the um. The…”
Sterling wrinkled his nose and shrugged. “The um...trip? For you and Karone to take and we can...we can all live happily ever after.”
And an engagement would have to come at some point...they needed to convince Yu once and for all that this was real. That he was loved. Not only that, but needed.
He squeezed Yu’s hand once again and seemed to relax. “If you can talk the doctors into letting us go, Priam...I think...I think I’d like to never see this hospital again in the next decade. Unless it’s to surprise you with lunch or something.”

"You'd come surprise me with lunch?" he asked, and it was such a simple thing, such a good thing. "That's so romantic. Maybe one day I'll go back to work so you can."
He inhaled, like he needed the extra air in him to summon the strength to stand. "I'm not worried about anything right now, Yu. Not worried about shock, even," he said to Yu, even as he very carefully pushed himself up. "I've lost blood, I'm sleepy. I'm okay. I'm--I'm very hungry," he confessed. "My stomach disagreed with me while they were patching me up. I'm glad I was unconscious while they took care of me after the fall."
He he stood, it wasn't at full height; he leaned over and kissed the back of Sterling's hand, and Yu's cheek.
Soleiyu had been waiting on the ground, giving them space, ready to ask questions and nag.
...He hadn't needed to, he supposed. They were all here. Yu mentioned Ilya, so he knew he was all right. "I can call someone back home to pick us up. They can bring food, there's always cheese something back home. Or I'm sure we can stop for fast food," Soleiyu tried to reassure, because he knew that even in his house, where something was always on the stove, there were 'fast food days'. He was worried, frantic, upset because he hadn't caught the agent's signature fast enough to do anything. Now, all he could do was try and figure out what he could do to make them feel better and ease them towards a little peace.

“Oh…yeah no I’m good, I’ve done stupider things to myself before.” He offered to try and re-assure them, which might not be super great he thought after because - they had seen him without a shirt for one. “I can ask Ilya if it…. I mean he said to go to his place, we can get a ride there, rest a bit…. do a group…dinner?” He offered. “Because…. I… couldn’t have done this without everyone.” He dropped his head a little. “So… thank you. You guys really dealt with a …lot because of all this.” Which was something of an understatement. “Um… Probably going to have to introduce you to…uh… Caleb too. He’s a senshi…” He bit his lip and his expression said very clearly ‘it’s complicated’ - “Sorry uh Sol, I don’t have enough hands for you and my boyfriends.” He offered as well with a small tease.

Sterling gave a small laugh. “...Of course I’ll bring you lunch. I would love to do that and make your day a little brighter. It makes me happy just to think about. Ah...Sol...do you know any senshi who can heal…? Could you maybe call one of them so we can start getting Priam and Yu fixed up a little more…? I...I’m okay.”
He cleared his throat and resisted the urge to rub at it. “...But the ride home sounds really nice. Yu, don’t be like that. I’m glad that you didn’t have to go through this alone. And I’m glad we were there to support you...yeah it sucked but…” He shrugged and tried to swallow back a cough that was threatening, his eyes flickering around for the bottle of water that Priam had brought him earlier.
Taking a small sip from it when he found it, Sterling squeezed Yu’s hand. “...You’re safe now...I...you have a lot of senshi friends don’t you? That’s really neat!” If this Caleb was actually a friend of Yu’s...well.
Sterling wouldn’t distrust him...or at least…
He would try not to. BUt...he could feel the unwillingness to meet people starting to grow.

"I might know one or two. I'll take care of it," he promised, already sending out texts from his phone. "Yu, I'll forgive you for only having two hands for now. I know you'll make it up to me in the future."
He was too relieved that they were all okay--for the most part--to demand any extra attention. He hadn't even been attacked and he felt like he just wanted to go lay down on all three of them and stop them from getting into trouble and just sleep on them.
Priam smiled, the same tempered, tired one he'd had since they got to the hospital. He was putting up a good front but he too was very ready to be home, and had been for a while. "I'm surprised Ilya would make that offer," he confessed. He had not come to known Ilya very well, but he had heard enough from Sterling about how meticulous he was about everything, especially in his house. It was a kind gesture, though, and he wondered how bad the kitchen was that Ilya would have preferred to let them invade his space than to go back to it.
...He didn't want to see the kitchen, didn't want to be reminded of it. It was one less thing to worry about so he could focus on Sterling and Yu.
"I'll be back soon," he promised, and though he didn't want to leave, he drifted to the door. "I look forward to meeting Caleb. In the meantime, take it easy, both of you. I'll be back in a moment," he said, and had to force himself to leave the room.
The faster he got it over with, the faster they could go home.
The faster they could all process this, and heal, and move on.

He gave a nervous smile, because god, he didn’t want to make things worse for Sterling, it had been such a betrayal of his trust what Michael had done, so he squeezed Sterling’s hand and…. opted not to share just who his new ‘friend’ was. He glanced almost panicked towards Priam, not really wanting to have him leave either. He just… He didn’t want to loose sight of them and find he’d never see them again. “Can’t they… I could… I” He stammered. He really wished at that moment that the cat could go get someone. “I promised him meat pies in thanks.” He added. He’d have suggested a Hotel for the night, but, he wanted to see the dogs too.

“Priam will be right back, Yu…” Sterling said softly, trying to tug the male closer. “And when he comes back...we’ll be able to get out of here…”
Thank goodness Soleiyu seemed like he knew someone who had healing powers...that would make things a little easier, would make their recovery time a lot shorter. If they could all feel better...physically at least...then...well. They could work on the rest.
“He’ll be right back.” He murmured, giving a yawn and wincing as the movement sent a shock of pain through his throat. “...Sol...You gonna stay with us for a bit? At least until...you know the um. The thing is done? Until they come home, I mean? That should happen soon, now that this is all over...within the next few days...maybe...maybe tomorrow can just be us sleeping?”
...And enjoying one last day with Yu...before he maybe lost his memories of the both of them for good...

"I'll stay," Soleiyu assured, watching as Priam disappeared from sight. "Someone has to make sure you three actually stay in bed. And I need to check on Ilya. Someone should make sure he's staying in bed, too. I wasn't very kind when I awakened him, so I suppose I ought to make up for it if things are going to start calming down. Though, he's quite a bit more stingy with affection, if we're being honest. But, he's mine, and I think you all need an extra someone looking after you. But," he moved closer, curling around Yu's ankle and butting his head against his leg since he was the easiest to reach, "I'll want to stick around, especially if we're going to be asking any Senshi to try and heal you. I'm not going to risk anyone else popping in."
Just as the door opened again, and a tired Priam had to pause and rest against the door frame. The door wasn't heavy on a normal day, but today was hardly a normal day by any standards and he felt exhausted just from holding it. It didn't help that he'd hurried down the hall and run into a doctor he then had to sweet talk, but he was back already and that's all that mattered.
He seemed like he had rushed back and was trying to keep his breathing even so they wouldn't worry. "We're good to go," he said, and then added, "I told them we were tired and wanted to rest and get home to see what the damage was. They've got my number, I told them to call me with any questions. They usually don't get billing out immediately, but it's not like we're unreachable. But I need to sit down for a moment before I try to get anywhere," he said, and made it to the seats so he could carefully slide into one.
"I hurried. I didn't want to be away from you two. I'm sorry if I'm a little clingy for the next few days."

Yu squeezed sterling’s hand, the reassurance that Sterling could squeeze back. He’d been…well… he and Priam had been through so much more than he could even imagine. Ripped out star seeds, cutthroats, tossed off buildings, horrible cuts up the arm, and…lord knew he knew that could have side effects. “I’m ok…” He promised. “I’m just, worried about you both. You went through….a lot. Like more than I can even wrap my head around.” He was relieved when Priam came back safe though, it was… it was in part at least, he realized because he didn’t assume the Hospital was safe even now. Even knowing that Michael was, very definitely.. gone. “I am not making -any- complaints about clingy in the next few days.” He added. “Just, do me the favor, if you know a healing sensei, let them hit you guys up first okay? I’m ok… I promise. Plus I’m… about half over being on the receiving end of …Senshi, things, no offense intended.”

Sterling gave a little scoff and didn’t make a reply to the bit about the healing senshi going for them first. He was fine. It was Yu and Priam who needed the healing...but that was a fight to have at home. Or when they found a senshi who could help.
“No, I like the idea of clingy. I want to spend at least a week just...in bed with you two. Maybe we can get Ilya and Karone to bring us food and wait on us like the invalids we are…” He wore a little smile and looked as though he was finally on the road to feeling…happy again. “I’m ready to go when you are, Priam, and Yu. Sol...let us know when the ride gets here, okay? We’ll be ready to go then. That...should give us all a chance to just...just breathe.
Which was obviously what they needed now. More than anything else.
