Truthfully, Soleiyu was still trying to wrap his mind around the fact that he’d run into an ancient Senshi. She wasn’t the first he’d met, but she knew him. She knew Lysithea.
After Soleiyu had upgraded her Henshin Pen, he’d spent a bit of time catching up with her–making sure she was okay, making sure he could contact her, upgrading her phone. The works. When they separated, he’d made sure she knew to expect word from him soon. He wasn’t going to abandon her. She wasn’t supposed to be out here on her own.
She had questions, and if he could get her answers, he would.
But, that meant seeking out Talia and picking her brain, too.
He trotted home quickly, partly because of the creeping chill and partly because his curiosity demanded him. It was still early enough that he wasn’t surprised to see lights on in the house, and after he wiped his paws clean he immediately bee-lined for her.
“Talia,” he called, like a summons more than a greeting. “I’ve met someone, she’s very strange. I need to talk to you. Does the name Ersa mean anything to you?”

Talia looked up from the book she was reading and broke into a welcoming smile, reaching out to scoop Soleiyu up into her lap, tilting her head at both his statement and the question. “Does the name Ersa mean anything to me? Uh…not really…I think that's one of Jupiter’s moons too?” He was such a large cat, but she loved getting the chance to hold him…he wasn’t really ever happy with it, or acted like he wasn’t but…
She knew he liked it, even if he pretended otherwise, and she wasn’t going to be the one to spoil either of their fun.
She wasn’t quite sure what to think about the person he met being someone very strange, but it made her think about Fang, and…
“...Did you meet another Space Senshi? Sailor Ersa?”
It was a jump but…it made sense and if he was asking if the name meant anything.
“...Why? How is she strange? What happened?” Now Talia just wanted to know everything, even if it was only to satisfy her curiosity.

Soleiyu huffed indignantly and went limp in Talia’s arms, not quite in retaliation of being picked up but because he had a penchant for being a bit dramatic. His feet dangled unenthusiastically but his tail twitched with undeniable interest.
“Oh, aren’t you a shrewd one. Yes, that’s right. She spoke of Lysithea. She remembers the old Princess. I only picked her brain so much, but she’s desperate to see you. She recognized me, but there are only holes in my memory. I couldn’t give her the answers she was looking for. She wants to see you. I explained things, the basics, but. I didn’t want to volunteer you for anything without talking to you.”
He turned his head so he could observe Talia’s expression. “Have you had any memories of her?”
Did she know the name Ersa from another life, or was that something she had learned while here on Earth?

“Oh my god, Soleiyu. I will bite you.” Talia laughed and pressed a half dozen kisses to his face, uncaring about his words for the moment, but. His words were interesting…it…
Wasn’t someone that she knew. Wasn’t a name she knew other than the fact that it was one of Jupiter's moons as Lysithea was…but.
“No memories of her, no, but she spoke of me? Of course she can see me…you, did let her know that there was a very small chance that I would know who she is, right? If…she knew…the old Lysiteha…”
The one in the window, most likely…that…made some sense but.
“I’m happy to see her, whenever. If she knew the really past me…then I’m happy to let her know the current me…I just. Hope she’s not going to expect too much.”
She was doing her best, but. There was still a lot to learn and a lot to do.

Soleiyu let her pepper him with kisses, and though he was mostly patient for them, his tail did twitch a few times. His curiosity made him impatient but he couldn’t deny that he liked the attention.
“She didn’t seem to expect that she’d find anyone. She understands that it’s been a lifetime. I cautioned her, she seemed understanding. I think this is all just a lot for her, though. Being on a new world, trying to adapt to things. I think she could use a friend. I told her not to have much hope that you would remember her, but I know that you have a lot of power in your starseed. You may be able to uncover some memories. If you want.”
He wasn’t going to pressure her, especially if it was something out of her comfort zone.
“I told her that you were wonderful, though. I might have given her high expectations,” he hummed. “But you can’t blame me. You’re my bonded Senshi, I see a lot of good in you.” It was practically his job to talk her up.
“Whether or not there are any memories, I think it would be good for you two to connect. I can set you two up a meeting, if you like? Or I can just give you her information and you can reach out to her. I think it will be good for both of you.” Talia could always use some more friends, and it seemed like Ersa needed some, too. .

“The poor thing…yeah of course I’ll meet her, and I’ll try to get more memories up there…it…sometimes it feels like I can. Like I just have to try I just…”
Talia leaned back and stroked the cat’s fur, mulling over her words. “It…it’s just a lot. I know I should, and I will, especially with this new development…but like…it just hasn’t seemed…like it would have done much good to think about it too closely before now, if that makes sense?”
She had so many other things to think about and focus on…and too many past things regardless but…
Now that there was a reason…
Figuring out her true past would…well. Might be important.
“I hope you talked up the best parts of me and didn’t make me seem too unreal! You goober. But, I’m glad you got to meet her, I’m sure it helped a lot. I would love it if you would set up a meeting, you don’t have to be there if you don’t want to, but you are absolutely welcome.” And she would always like him there. She always wanted him around, but felt rather selfish sometimes in asking.
“Thank you for telling me.”

Soleiyu rolled his eyes. “Please,” he huffed. “You know I only say good things about you, Talia. Never in my life have I uttered a foul word of you. We’ll figure out what works best. I am, of course, happy to keep you both company. I’m inquisitive.”
Nosy, but Soleiyu was too prideful to say anything negative about himself. He had a curious mind, he’d rather be there than get the details later.
“But I’ll respect whatever works best for you, Talia. I’ll send her a message and we can figure everything out.”
The first hint of a purr, rumbling deep in the back of his throat, threatened to interrupt him. He stretched a bit, obviously with intent on giving her access to the areas he wanted to be pet.
“I think, getting those memories…the old ones…it’ll be like watching a movie. Maybe it’ll teach you how to unlock more of your world. Or more power.”

Shaking her head, Talia chuckled. “All right. Then we’ll do it. I’ll…work on the whole memories thing, maybe I can go up this weekend or something. I do like it up there a lot.”
She relaxed and simply held the Mauvian after that, not having anything else to say, but not wanting to let him go quite yet.
After all, there was nothing better than having a cat in your arms.
Especially one who was as wonderful as this.
