NAME: Qián Jianyu (pronounced "shee-en jee-an-you").
MEANING: Chinese for "building the universe."
GENDER: Male.
STAGE: Tenryujin.
CURRENT AGE: 26 years old.
ALLIANCE: Legion.
PATH: Warrior.
SKIN: Lightly tanned.
EYES: A bright sapphire blue.
HAIR: Dark brown, ribbons and beads woven in.
BODY TYPE: Muscular and lithe.

THE BASICS:
Jianyu is a very determined individual. Since choosing to fight for the Legion, he has made it his life's goal to follow them and the four generals, and he will stop at nothing to achieve those goals. He's a very loyal person, and once he's dedicated to something, it's hard for him to break away from it.
He's not a very talkative guy. While he's intelligent and well-read, he does not know how to interact well with others, and has a quiet intensity that tends to create an awkward atmosphere, either from people thinking he's strange, or they're intimidated by him somehow. He'll usually say what he thinks, without actually thinking about it before he says it, which can create some unnecessary animosity and tension among him and his peers. It used to be that he was relatively stoic, but since his injury and meeting Yue he has learned to be more relaxed, turning from stoicism to a more easygoing and laid back attitude. However he still has a wicked temper when angered, especially if insulted or reminded about his blindness, or if his wife Yue is threatened. He has grown very strong due to his training as a Fighter, Captain, and now Tenryujin, and will not hesitate to fight if provoked.
After years of training, as well as his relationships with both Yue and Bataar, Jianyu's abilities to keep an open mind and a light heart have been strengthened and developed. He laughs more easily, smiles more often, and has overcome a lot of his awkward, silent habits. It's much more easy for him to relax now, even with being partially blind, and though the eye still causes some issues at times, he is slowly learning how to work with it.
INTERESTING QUIRKS:
He has a gambling problem, and is most of the time dead broke, so he works whatever job he can to earn the money back. Then he goes back and gambles it away again.
LIKES:
Fighting, gambling, reading, meditating, sunshine, warm foods, Yue.
DISLIKES:
Thunderstorms, cold food, cold weather.

Jianyu has a lot of family - way too much family, in fact. He lives with his three sisters, four brothers, two aunts, three uncles, grandmother, grandfather, six cousins, and his parents, as well as their three dogs and two cats.He grew up in a very wealthy and well-known family; his father is the most renowned tattoo artist in Lunaria, and has been teaching his son to be the same.
Qián Ehuang (meaning "fairy radiance"), Jianyu's mother, is a short woman in her early fifties with black hair, blue eyes, and a penchant for being the most motherly mother on the face of the planet. Adoring and loving of her children, Ehuang tends to be the practical side of the family. An immensely intelligent woman with a wicked and dry sense of humor, she takes much pleasure in playfully teasing the members of her family. However, she knows when to be serious and sees a lot more than what people think. Ehuang cares for nothing else except for the safety of those she loves, and does her best to provide a safe, happy home for them to return to.
Qián Liwei (meaning "profit and greatness") is the father of the family. A tall, muscular man with black and silver hair, blue eyes, and a very distinguished appearance overall, Liwei lives up to his name and has built an entire fortune around his tattoo business, which offers intricate and beautiful designs to the people of Lunaria. Both strong-minded and strong-physically, Liwei does not take lightly to those whom he thinks are going to harm his family or his business. At work, he is very dedicated and calm, collected, but at home, Liwei is cheerful and fun, a mild-mannered man who has seen much in his life.
Chuntao: Meaning "spring peach": 20 years old, loooong black hair down practically to her feet and blue eyes. Ridiculously pretty and always has a flock of suitors at her door.
Liqiu: Meaning "beautiful autumn": 16 years old, short black hair that she cut by accident. Extremely girly and frilly, but a major klutz.
Mingzhu: Meaning "bright pearl": 16 years old, short black hair that she cut off to match her twin sister. Not exactly the smartest cookie in the tin, unlike her name.
Junjie: Meaning "handsome and outstanding": 23 years old. Parents named him that to encourage good fortune. Unfortunately for them Junjie is quite possibly one of the stupidest people to ever walk on the earth. And quite vain too. Thinks he's prettier than his entire family. Ran off with Yuudai's sister.
Jinjing: Meaning "gold mirror". 23 years old. Sly, foxy, and quite the womanizer. Total homophobe. Thinks Junjie is an idiot (and is totally right).
Jingguo: Meaning "administering the state." Was named that because his parents were running out of "J" names. 21 years old. Is a crossdresser and terrifies Jinjing and Junjie.
Jinhai: Meaning "golden sea." 21 years old. Jingguo's twin brother. Also a cross dresser. Also terrifies Jinjing and Junjie.

THE BASICS:
Jianyu chose to fight for the Legion simply because he believes that they will be the victors in the end. Using logic, he deduces that the Legionnaires are correct in their beliefs and chooses to fight for them on that stance.
Jianyu uses Weapon Projection Magic to channel his ki into the arrows, using the power of the elements to make the arrows more deadly. He is not able to use all of the elements, but he tries his hardest. His most effective is that of the element of the earth, using briars and thorns to coat the arrowhead.
FIGHTER:[ Longbow ]:
The beginning stages of fighting, Jianyu is trained with a simple longbow. His agility allows him to be speedy and quick when drawing arrows. At this stage Jianyu also starts beginning to use magic projection.
CAPTAIN: [ Crossbow ]:
Past the initial stages, the crossbow allows for deadly aim and long-distance focus, and is a weapon of speed and caution, rather than strength.
TENRYUJIN: [ Tri-Arrow Crossbow ]: At this stage, Jianyu's crossbow has evolved into a crossbow able to shoot three arrows simultaneously. There are three layers to the bow, and it is larger than the normal crossbow, but with the same design (only a bit more elaborate). The arrows are also sharper and steel-tipped.
As an archer, Jianyu isn't that great at close range, hand-to-hand combat. He's not that strong, physically, so he tries to stay away from close-hand fights, though mentally he is very determined and strong. Since his weapon is a bow and arrow, Jianyu is most adept at long-range fighting and borders more on defensive, especially now that he is half blinded. He is a very agile and a quick thinker, which allows him to be quite fast when drawing his arrows. A man with excellent aim, even half blind, he is both dangerous and deathly accurate.
