This is a private roleplay between Jianyu [Kuro-Mizuki] and Sakngea [lungrot].

Setting:
The Qian Household.

Jianyu takes a very pathetic Sakngea back to his house after he passes out from their fight. But what happens when the redhead awakens in a unknown Legion home?

The first thing Ehuang said was "Good grief, you look terrible" followed closely by "Honestly, Jianyu what have you gotten yourself into now?"

"Mother," Jianyu said, somewhat exasperated. "Can we save the theatrics and useless questioning until after I get inside of my own home? It is cold outside."

That, and the thing he was half carrying, half dragging was heavier than he had expected. Jianyu had considered leaving it lying on the hill after it had passed out, but since a colossal thunderstorm was currently ongoing, that would have been a bad idea. Not that it hadn't taken him a good five minutes to decide on it, but in the end he had sighed, tied his crossbow to his waist, and half carried, half dragged the pathetic thing back to his house. He'd certainly gotten quite a few curious glances from the faces pressed to their windows, and it had been somewhat humiliating, but after quite a long time, he had finally made it back to his home.

Ehuang was still standing in the doorway, arms folded across her chest as she raised an eyebrow. "Name?" she asked.

Jianyu stared at her, momentarily confused. "Beg your pardon?" His mother motioned towards the thing hanging off of him.

"Oh," said Jianyu. "Sakngea. His name is Sakngea."

"Mmhmm," said his mother. "I see."

"He's heavy, Mother."

"All right, all right, get him inside. He can rest in the your room. Er," Ehuang added, seeing the look on her son's face. "That is to say, he can stay in the guest room."

Qian Ehuang had seen plenty of her Jianyu coming home with various injuries; scrapes, bruises, cuts, stabs - though the time he had come home missing half of his vision she had nearly stabbed him herself - but he had never exactly come home with another person before. Except Bataar, and that incident had not turned out well.

Once he had gotten Sakngea down to the room - which had taken exceptionally long, considering that Jianyu was now shivering from the cold and his wet clothes, he all but threw the redhead down onto the futon mattress.

...now what..? Jianyu stared at Sakngea. He probably should change him out of those wet close, otherwise he would catch a cold, or worse. Jianyu debated on leaving them on, just to be spiteful, but with a sigh of resignation, he bent down, quickly and easily stripping the younger boy. Once he was done, Jianyu pulled the blanket over him, tossed a spare robe over a chair, and left the room, shutting the door behind him.

He really needed a bath. A hot bath.

It was definitely a strange dream.

He was being carried by a giant Jianyu, one who towered over all of Lunaria and all Sakn wanted to do was struggle, to kick and scream and escape!, but alas, in this dream, he couldn't. He could only watch as the monster of a Captain carried him to the sea, where he picked the miniature-sized Sakn off his shoulder and held him above the water.

For a moment, the young redhead was relieved. He'd prefer to be swimming in the ocean versus being round Jianyu, but when he glanced down at the great blue sea, he was instead looking into the face of a giant beast. One that opened its jaws like a hungry pet awaiting its treat.

Sakn turned his eyes back up to the giant version of his rival and all he wanted to say was 'Don't let me go!' but it was too late. His stomach dropped as he fell through the air, and the boy waved his arms like a mad man, screaming and kicking now that he was free of the other man's grasp. He spun in the air and watched in fear as the great beast ate him up.

The fisherboy woke from the dream(more like nightmare!) with a start, his body nervously twitching and kicking; shoving the soft, warm, non-scratchy blankets off him. Sweat coated his body and bright green eyes stared at the far wall as he calmed down. Once Sakngea was breathing normally and quiet certain that he was not being eaten by a giant monster, he took the time to realize that he was most definitely not in his own home.

The redhead frowned as he glanced around, looking first at the nicely decorated walls, then at the smooth silky blankets that he had been laying under, and it was evident from the look on his face that the poor redhead was severely confused. He had no clue where he was, or how he got here. None at all. So, with a grunt(his muscles still ached from the fight earlier), the redhead moved to exit the room. Perhaps he could find who ever had taken him here and figure out what was going on. Hopefully they wouldn't demand him stay here, because Sakn didn't think he had the energy to fight his way out of here. He wasn't sure if he had the strength to fight at all. Walking was hard enough for the boy; his legs shook slightly as he stood, the muscles straining to hold him up.

He was just about to open the door when a strange feeling over came him. Why did it feel like he was missing something? The boy turned back on his heel(nearly falling over in the process) and glanced around the room once more. There was the unmade bed he had been sleeping in(like he was gunna make a bed, that was a girls job!), a robe tossed over a chair. Some paintings hanging on the wall. But nothing of Sakn's.

The boy frowned and scratched his head, turning once again to leave when it dawned on him.

Sakn glanced down, just to make sure, and sure enough, he was naked.

Naked. In someone elses house, with no clue as to how he got there or where his own clothing even went. The redhead looked frustrated now, and he cursed under his breath before stomping over to the robe and wrapping it around himself. It didn't fit quiet right, and the hem ended half-way down his shine, but at least it covered him decently.

Now at least partially dressed, Sakn left the room and found himself standing in a rather nice house. It was well lit and cozy-feeling, and Sakn found himself less angry with where all his clothing was and more curious as to what kind of people owned such a nice place! So the obvious thing to do, in Sakn's mind, was to go snooping around. If these people didn't want him looking around, they should have kept a better watch on him!

"Whu's behind door number one!" the redheaded boy hummed to himself as he peeked into a room across from his. It was definitely a girls room, and Sakn quickly closed the door before moving onto another door. Then another, and another! There sure were a lot of rooms in this house, he thought to himself as he stuck his head into yet another room.

Yet, no people to be seen. How...creepy.

"Maybe issa ghost house!" Sakn whispered to no one in particular as he shut the door to another boring, empty room. "A borin' ghost house," he added in a less-then enthusiastic tone. How boring to be kidnapped by ghosts that aren't even around!

The bath had done wonders for his tired, cold, aching body, not to mention his irritated mind. Jianyu had spent almost an hour and a half submerged in the hot, steamy water, simply breathing in the warm air and letting himself relax, calm his mind, be at peace.

At least until his brothers decided to join him. "Stupid idiots." Jianyu grumbled to himself as he stalked down the hallway, back to his own room, his damp feet making slippery footsteps on the hardwood floor (the servants would have fun cleaning that up). The twins were just too rambunctious and flamboyant, and had spent a good fifteen minutes just being ridiculous.

Standing in the center of his room - decorated with only the barest items, a series of past used bows and arrows the only items hung on the walls - Jianyu absently toweled his wet hair, pushing some of the strands off of his face. Not feeling like putting on his old clothes again (and besides, they were wet anyways) he slipped into a clean black robe, tying it around his waist. He didn't bother putting his hair up, preferring to let it dry before he did anything to it, and sat down at his desk, pushing his fingers against his temples. He had the minute feeling that he was, in fact, forgetting something.

Sakngea.

"Dammit," Jianyu said aloud, groaning internally. He did not really want to go check on the redhead, but obligation made him drag himself from his chair, folding his hands into his sleeves. He stepped from the sanctuary of his room, sliding the door shut behind him and padded quietly down the hallway to the west wing of his home. The Qian Household was somewhat large, and most of the family resided in the eastern wing. The western side was reserved mainly for guests and was also home to the Qian Tattoo House, connected through a side door against the west walls.

Jianyu turned a corner. Then stopped abruptly.

"What," he said, exasperation lacing his voice. " - are you doing, Sakngea?"

Sakn was still busy poking his head into the empty rooms on the western end when Jianyu found him. The boy had become so used to the silence that when Jianyu spoke, it caused a spark of fear to run through the redhead's system. He literally jumped, shoulders tensing before he finally turned to see who had spoken to him.

"Jianyu."

If looks could kill, Sakn's would have done just that. He didn't know how Jianyu found him(because obviously, this wasn't Jianyu's house. Why would he be in Jianyu's house?!), but the redhead found himself nervously raising his fists. He was so tired and angry and confused by the fact that the Captain was here that he didn't even register that his rival was also wearing a robe and had obviously just bathed. If he had noticed, perhaps the boy would have put two and two together. But as it was, Sakn thought Jianyu had followed him(and possibly killed all the people who lived here! Maybe that's where they all went!!) and was trying to ready himself for an inevitable(or so he thought) fight.

"Whut'm I doin'? More like whu's you doin', Jianyu!" Sakngea responded as he watched the older man nervously. This was the guy who was to blame for all the ache and pain Sakn was feeling right now, this was the man he couldn't trust, ever. "Y'wanna finish this? Com'on! Le's do it."

And while his spirit was all in it, Sakn's body groaned with each movement. It was obvious that the boy wasn't doing any fighting today. But he would have to fight it seemed. What other reason would Jianyu had come looking for him for?

Jianyu had dealt with several different types of people in his lifetime. There had been the stoic, silent Kyung, who had not only given Jianyu the bow he used for most of his career as a Fighter, but who had also given him his first (unexpected) kiss (albeit, it was in thanks, but Jianyu still recognized it as a kiss). Then there had been his ex-lover Bataar, who had tried to sell him into slavery upon their first meeting and who later had become one of his best (yet still somewhat dense and moronic) friends. There was Yue, one of his favorite people, brash and endearing, as well as seductive, alluring Ishtar and nerve-grating, teeth clenchingly irritating CuiYan.

But never before had Jianyu met someone quite like the redheaded Noble named Sakngea.

Who was, in fact, looking at him with an expression of great irritation mixed with confusion and anger. It took Jianyu a moment to realize the basic fact of all facts when it came to Sakngea, and when he finally did understand just what it was that the younger man was talking about, he voiced his concerns aloud:

"Are you stupid?

Perhaps it hadn't been the best way of asking, but regardless of how he had said it, Jianyu felt a sense of exasperation creeping into his voice. "I will not fight you in my own house, ya damn idiot. And what are you doing, snooping around the guest rooms? There's nothing there for you except dust and some old clothes."

Are you stupid?

The question made Sakn's fins turn a red and his cheeks puffed out in frustration. Stupid!? STUPID?! He wasn't stupid. It was more then obvious that Jianyu was following him. More then obvious that the man was here to finish that fight once and for all. It was obvious as--

Oh.

Sakn's face was now just as red as his fins as Jianyu continued to speak, revealing that this was, indeed, his home and that he had no plans to fight. Oh man. The redhead squinty-glared at the Captain, looking for some kind of lie to be evident on that frustrated face, but he only picked up on frustration(obvious) and exasperation. And also that Jianyu was wearing a robe much like the one Sakn had on, and that his hair was still dripping with water.

Obviously, Jianyu had no plans to fight right now, and obviously he hadn't been following Sakn anywhere. Which meant--oh boy.

"Y'ur tellin' the truth, ain't'cha?" the question was rhetorical , because it was quiet evident that the brunette was most definitely telling the truth. But Sakn said it anyways before the shock wore off and confusion set in. Why, gods help him, would Jianyu have carried(because he had passed out, Sakn remembered that bit quiet well) him all the way here. Sakn would have, to be honest, left Jianyu there on that hill if it had been him.

It confused the boy greatly as to how one minute Jianyu was pummeling him, angry and yelling and so expressive, and the next he's carried Sakn to his own home, laid him down on an actual bed and even trusted the redhead alone in his home.

So the redhead asked, his brows scrunched together and his lips pursed in question, "Why'd ya do it? Y'c'ulda left me there, nuhone espects ya to do any differen'." Not that Sakngea didn't appreciate the fact that Jianyu had taken him out of the rain--which was a weird thing in itself. He was supposed to be angry with the legionnaire, right?

"Er," said Jianyu, resisting the very strong urge to throw something at Sakngea's head. Something sharp and heavy. "Yes, I am telling the truth. Why on earth would I say it if it were not true?"

Running a hand through his damp hair, Jianyu leaned against the wall, folding his arms across his chest as he scrutinized Sakngea. The question was an obvious one, one that he should have known the answer to immediately, but for some reason Jianyu just could not figure out why on earth he had not left Sakngea - a Noble, and a bratty, obnoxious one at that - on that hill to either get sick from the cold or even to die. Instead, he'd carried (more like dragged like a sack of potatoes) Sakngea across town, back to his house, where he had taken the care to lay (throw) him down on a bed and make sure he was well-rested (otherwise known as stripping him down to nothing to keep the chill from getting in). And he'd done it all with an injured hand, which was currently wrapped in one of the clean, white bandages his mother kept in the cabinets.

Why?

Instead of answering the question, Jianyu turned away from Sakngea, padding down the hallway towards the kitchen. "Quit your yapping and follow me if you want something to eat. I'm sure the servants have prepared something for us, or perhaps my sisters would be willing to make a hot meal for us.

"That is,"
Jianyu added, tossing a glance over his shoulder. "If you're not to stubborn to eat from one of my dishes."

Sakngea watched the way Jianyu eyed him, his own eyes grazing over the captain. It was strange to see Jianyu in this kind of setting. Strange to see the older man in any other mood then enraged. It was funny the way the redhead could watch those wheels turning in the other lunarians head as he mulled over-what Sakn thought was- an easy question. He kept his scowl in place, waiting, but instead of responding, Jianyu only turned away and moved down the long hallway.

For a moment, the near-kindness of Jianyu's offer blindsided Sakngea, and he stood in place, mouth hanging open like gapping fish. He hadn't expected the legionnaire to answer his question truthfully in the first place, but to have him reflect it with offers of warm food was even more surprising. For an even tinier moment, Sakn thought to refuse the food(Jianyu probably poisoned it or something to that effect) but his stomach was less willing to argue, and the crippling cramp and obnoxious growl that emanated from his abdomen quickly turned the 'No' on Sakngea's lips into a yes.

If a slightly reluctant yes.

Sakn quickly caught up with the man, just in time to have him toss a look over his shoulder at the redhead. He made a face at Jianyu's comment, and responded in irritation, "I'd eatta whole whale righ' 'bout know. Buh d'better question is," he glared half-heartedly(only because he was too exhausted to put full effort into it!) at the one-eyed captain, "W'udda legionnaire like y'urself want scum like m'self eatin' outta y'ur fancy dishes."

But the question lacked it's usual bite, and Sakn could smell food already, so he sped up, letting his nose lead him towards those delectable smells; his stomach roaring with hunger now. And once they came upon the kitchen, the redhead was leaving puddles of drool in his wake as his mouth salivated. Something smelled temptingly good, like roast meats and heaven.

"D'ya really got servants here?" he asked as they entered, because Sakn was curious. No one he knew had servants, and the idea of having someone to do work for you was a bit of a culture shock for the bumpkin boy.

"As long as you don't make a mess of my home, I am perfectly willing to let 'scum' such as yourself eat off of my 'fancy dishes,'" Jianyu said lightly as they walked down the hallway. "Though they are probably not as fancy as you believe them to be."

Truth be told, Jianyu had not expected Sakngea to agree to eat. He was very much aware of the redhead's almost inhuman stubbornness, his outrageous pride and quick temper, and so he had thought that when he offered, Sakngea would decline immediately. That, and most likely make some sort of accusation towards him, like he had poisoned the food or something. So it came as a startling surprise when Jianyu had turned to leave and heard the footsteps pattering behind him.

"Yes, we have servants," he answered as they entered the kitchen. The warm, spicy scent of meat came floating up to greet them, and Jianyu gave a small nod to the three young women standing in the spacious room. "Thank you for your hard work; we will take our meal in the dining hall, if you please."

One of the servants - a small redheaded girl named Li who had worked for the Qian family for several years now - offered the pair a cheerful smile, her hands working quickly as she diced a series of green onions.

"Yes, Master Jianyu," she answered and he gave he another nod, ushering the practically salivating redhead into the adjacent room, sliding the door shut behind them. Kneeling down at the low level table, Jianyu folded his arms into his sleeves and glanced over at Sakngea.

"You might as well sit," he said as the door opened again, the servants setting down dish after dish of steaming food. "After all, it would be messy if you ate standing up."

Jianyu was still not quite certain as to just why he was being so hospitable towards Sakngea. After all, they got into enough bickers, squabbles, and fights to act like little children. And Sakngea was a Noble while Jianyu was a Legion. Their differences were both vast and great.

So why am I not kicking him out..? Jianyu wondered to himself, absently sticking a piece of pork on his mouth, chewing methodically.

When Jianyu spoke to the three pretty women in the roomy kitchen, Sakn gave an awkward bow. He was no good around women, and these girls looked less like his idea of servants and more like three young beautiful wives or something. It was strange, and when the redheaded one smiled at them so pleasantly, Sakn's cheeks grew bright pink under his mottling of scales.

Her voice was just as soft and pretty as her face, and when she ushered them into the dining room, Sakn couldn't help but let his eyes follow her when she left. And as soon as the doors slid shut, the redhead snapped his head to Jianyu. He gapped and then pointed at the doorway, "Tha's a serva--" he started, but stopped just as quickly when the doors slid open again and food was carried in.

The boy quickly took Jianyu's advice then and threw himself down on the other side of the table; where as Jianyu sat on his knees, Sakn sat cross-legged(thankfully the robe was long enough to cover any... indecencies) with his elbows on the table, head held in his hands. It was like being in heaven. Pretty girls serving him delicious smelling food! The redhead grinned stupidly when Li came in again, and when they left, the fisher boy whistled low and long.

"Dem is some fine servants, Jianyu," was that a compliment? Sakn was sure, but he knew it was true, and if there was one thing he could respect, it was tastefully dressed, pretty women. Especially ones bearing food from the gods(yes, food from the gods.).

Sakn dove into the food like he hadn't eaten in weeks, picking at this and that and some of those with a passion. But as he ate, he noticed that there was something--someone staring at him. Bright green eyes slowly looked up and met fierce blue. Jianyu was staring at him while he ate.

The boy slowed down for a moment, and after taking a roasted pine nut from a small bowl placed on the table and flicking it into the air and catching it(a trick he learned from his fishermates) he asked, "Y'gotta stare at me awl the time? I's creepy."

And not just because Jianyu had one eye, that didn't bug Sakn at all. It was just...he didn't know what the guy was thinking, and after their recent meetings, he was pretty sure they didn't get along. At all.

"Y'put poison in dis, didn'tcha?"

He knew it, the brunette had poisoned him! Now he was just watching and waiting. The redhead glared and thought to himself, I didn' even getta say goodbye t'Xiu or nothin'.

Of course, he didn't think that the food couldn't be poisoned, because that would mean Jianyu would die too, seeing as he was eating the same food.

Jianyu arched one dark eyebrow at the young Noble's reaction, resisting the urge to laugh aloud. It seemed like such a...normal response, such a humanistic, boyish act to blush around a pretty woman that it was almost strange to see Sakngea do it. Li flashed a smile towards him before turning her gaze towards Jianyu, amusement clearly evident in her dark eyes as she disappeared back into the kitchens.

"I am sure they appreciate your compliments," Jianyu said, raising his teacup to his lips and taking a swallow of the warm liquid. "And I am not staring at you. I am simply observing one such as yourself - namely a very odd creature indeed."

He reached over, carefully selecting a soft round fruit to set in front of him. Picking up his knife, he began cutting it slowly, carefully, though the cuts were jagged and uneven, no where near as perfect or pretty as the ones that Li and the other servants made.

"No, I did not poison it," Jianyu said, in answer to Sakngea's question, without raising his head. "It is perfectly acceptable food, and you might as well enjoy it while you can. Besides, if I were to poison you, it would not be in the company of those in my own home. My mother would have a heart attack."

Finished with the fruit, Jianyu set down the knife, sticking a ripe, sticky piece into his mouth, swallowing the sweet flavor before saying "You're stranger than I had originally thought. Why is it that you keep picking fights with me, even though I'm a Legion, and a Captain at that?"

Sakn watched with great amusement in his eyes as Jianyu worked at the fruit, cutting it miserably into pieces. The redhead was very apt with a small knife, and watching someone unable to slice their own fruit was like trying to watch someone fail at tying up a boat properly. It just didn't happen, at least not in his village.

But the redhead quickly replaced the small grin with a disbelieving look(thankfully Jianyu hadn't seen that!) when Jianyu reassured him that the food was safe to eat. But even though he tried to feign distrust, Sakn's stomach was still hungry, and in the end, he leaned over the table and snatched one of the same fruits that Jianyu had chosen.

Automatically his hands dropped to feel for the fishing knife he carried on him always, but stopped after realizing that that knife had cut someone. Specifically Jianyu, the man across from him. Green eyes glanced over at the older man's hand, and he felt a sick mixture of pride and guilt deep in his stomach as he saw the bandages. How could he not feel guilty, when the man had taken him back to his own home, and was now feeding him.

His head jerked up when Jianyu spoke again, and his face went red with irritation. He wasn't strange! Jianyu was the strange one! "Hey I ain' strange!" Sakn protested in vain, since Jianyu had continued to talk. The redhead pursed his lips, frustrated that the brunette had cut him off, but also thinking of his response.

It was obvious, at first. He fought Jianyu because they were rivals, and Sakn opened his mouth to say this before giving pause. Was that really it? He snapped his lips shut and looked at the Captain. His face was serious for a moment before he started, "I-I'm," here Sakn paused, as it seemed he was choking on his words, "I'm jeal--" the boy's face was bright red now, and he couldn't finish the word, and instead finished rather with a more Sakn-appropriate, "I'm d'strongest! Tha's why!"

Perhaps this was the only way Sakn could really admit how he felt about this whole thing. He wanted to be able to one up the Legionnaire, to show the older man that he was no child, and just as capable as anyone else. He was jealous of the way people saw Jianyu, the way his best friend Xiu looked up to the Captain. He was jealous, and he had to show he could be just as strong!

Sakn let his eyes drop down after that, and picked up a knife off the table, and quickly and efficiently slicing it before popping a piece into his mouth. These fruits were far softer and sweeter then the ones his mother got, and the redhead quickly ate another slice, before looking up at Jianyu.

"Why does it matter t'ya?"

They were enemies after all, wasn't fighting the whole point of a war? Of being enemies?

And if so, why didn't Sakn feel as hateful as he had earlier? Angry but not spiteful.

Jianyu let out an amused sounding snort, pushing his damp hair back away from his face with one hand, the other still holding the fruit. "On the contrary, Sakngea, you are, by far, one of the most strange individuals that I have ever had the misfortune to stumble upon - quite literally, in your case." He shrugged, sticking another sticky piece into his mouth. "That's not necessarily a bad thing. I've met many strange people in my lifetime, and I find it to be quite refreshing - most of the time. My ex-lover was, in fact, quite a bit stranger than you are, so there is that, at least."

It had been a while since Jianyu had thought of Bataar; he was growing used to speaking more candidly about the Mongol, and it did not hurt anymore to think of him.

The piece of fruit got caught in the back of Jianyu's throat and he coughed abruptly, putting a hand to his chest as he swallowed. What...was that word that Sakngea had been about to say? Jeal - before he had stopped, face reddened.

...could it really be..?

He didn't respond to the childish declaration of strength, instead lapsing into a brief silence, gaze directed at the table instead of the redhead sitting across from him. Why does it matter to me..? Jianyu wondered, a faint dash of confusion flickering across his face. This isn't something I would normally think twice about. But...

I can't hate him.

...I want to. That's not even really a question. I want to hate him, to curse at him, fight him, drive him to the ground. But I can't. Because he reminds me too much of someone else with that brash nature that hides a vulnerable, insecure soul. And I can't just ignore that.

The juice from the fruit was seeping into the bandages on his hand, making them sticky and reddish. Jianyu raised his eyes to look at Sakngea, his expression impassive.

"Because," he said quietly. "It just...does. Because maybe what you think you see in me isn't really everything, and maybe what I think I see in you isn't the whole truth. And maybe because...I know you're not truly evil, even though I want you to be."

Misfortune? Sakn glared at the brunette when he said that, but there was no cruelty in Jianyu's voice, so he let it slide and listened, instead, to the mans story. It was interesting to hear a little about his rival, but also strange. Before today, Sakn had made sure to keep himself personally distant from the Captain, made sure that he didn't recognize the man as something beyond an enemy of war. But now here they were, talking about strange people and ex-lovers.

It was nerve-racking, to say the least, and Sakn couldn't keep eye contact with Jianyu while he spoke, though he did look back up when the man choked on a piece of fruit. The redhead watched, a small smile curled on his lips. How funny to see Jianyu choke on a piece of fruit when he easily(NOT SO EASILY!) beat Sakn up hours before.

There was silence then, as they both drifted into thoughts, and Sakn's eyes trailed around the room, memorizing it for what ever reason, before his eyes landed on that bandaged hand. The fruit juices had dyed the white a reddish pink, reminiscent of blood, and the fisherboys stomach churned at the sight. He was staring in a most intense manner at that hand when he felt eyes on him.

'Because, it just...does. Because maybe what you think you see in me isn't really everything, and maybe what I think I see in you isn't the whole truth. And maybe because...I know you're not truly evil, even though I want you to be.'

When Jianyu spoke, Sakngea never let his eyes break from the other mans, even when those words sent chills down his spine. This was all wrong in his head. They were enemies and rivals, opposing sides. A immovable object and an unstoppable force. Yet somehow, Jianyu was talking to him like they were friends. The redhead's face flushed again and he jerked his eyes away from the other mans, and instead fiddled with the knife he had used to cut fruit.

How uncomfortable to speak like this with Jianyu, yet how true it all seemed to be. Sakn glanced back again and looked the Captain over. Perhaps he didn't see all of Jianyu, perhaps he had made inaccurate observations. The redhead nearly nodded in agreement, but paused at the last moment. He was growing soft, Jianyu was trying to lower his guard.

And while, perhaps, Sakngea wasn't as angry with Jianyu as he was before, he still didn't have the courage(or what ever it was) to admit that perhaps Jianyu wasn't all that bad of a guy. At least, not out loud.

So instead of saying something heartfelt like Jianyu, Sakn set the knife down on the table, gave a small bow of thanks and said, "I bes' be goin' soon. M'ma's pro'lly all kindsa worried right now," he looked at Jianyu one last time before standing, and added, in a tone that he hoped would convey something that he couldn't actually say, "Thank you, Jianyu."

His face turned red then, and he crossed his arms, "Now, which way d'I go t'get outta here?" he glanced about and added, "Stupid legionnaires an' y'ur stupid big houses."
