His ownership, indeed. Bataar didn’t know what ‘mutual agreement’ meant, let alone what it had to do with any relationship! Where he was from, there must be a dominant, more powerful figure in a relationship, and he liked to consider himself as that man. That was why he had come to find Jianyu, after all. He’d been upset when he hadn’t been able to see the other man at all, although he didn’t want to place his finger on any one reason. It was troublesome and upsetting to think that the other man might have been avoiding him in the first place, and he could hardly stand it.

He needed attention, plain and simple!

Bat frowned as Jianyu cried out in pain, and shook his head back and forth a little. This was just way too much, and he supposed if he had to sling the other man over his shoulder, he’d be more than willing. He couldn’t take the fact that the other Lunarian was simply hurting himself, referring to it as a sort of ‘training.’ He wasn’t sure why that bothered him so much, but he knew he wasn’t willing to deal with it. Jianyu was just being an idiot, and—

Bataar was cut off in mid-thought as Jianyu shoved him backwards. He stumbled a little, his green eyes flashing as he registered the damage that had been done; it was nothing, really, to be pushed back in such a manner, but it had sure as hell pissed him off. ”You act as if I’ve done nothing to maintain myself.” he accused, throwing a fist into Jianyu’s stomach without much thought. The fact of the matter was that he did train in his spare time(of which he had much) and that he put a lot of effort into his physique. That was why he’d been so horrified when Jianyu had called him fat the week before.

The legionnaire was going down.

Most unfortunately, Jianyu had not moved quickly enough to avoid the fist that landed in his stomach. With a gasp, he staggered backwards, one hand pressed to his abdomen. Gritting his teeth, Jianyu glared up at Bataar, irritation coursing through his veins. It was quite obvious from that angry stare and flashing emerald eyes that Bataar very much believed himself to be the sole dominator in the relationship, as well as Jianyu's "owner." That certainly was not true, especially seeing as how Jianyu did not like to be anybody's property.

Also it was rather ironic, considering that during their first meeting the Mongol had attempted (unsuccessfully, of course) to sell Jianyu into slavery. The man obviously had some sort of superiority complex. Jianyu scowled.

"Bataar, you are one of the laziest men I know." Jianyu retorted, stalking towards the Mongol. "How much effort could you possibly use when you refuse to even bathe on a normal occurrence?"

Determined to win, and determined to prove that he was, in fact, not a "scrawny little pipsqueak" (as Bataar so "affectionately" called him), Jianyu raised his arm back, throwing a punch into the Mongol's face.

Bataar was beginning to feel confident, since he’d landed the punch. Clearly, that just showed off how much better his physique was! ”Maybe if you’d trained before now, that wouldn’t have hurt so much!” he taunted, looking delighted. He didn’t mean to say much by it, of course, but judging from Jianyu’s so-called training, his comment might have hit a bit harder than expected. The truth of the matter was that the Mongol was completely insensitive in almost everything that he did. He didn’t see anything wrong with his sense of ownership, and he certainly didn’t think he was horribly insulting at any time.

Lazy? Bataar was a lot of things, but he didn’t think he was lazy! ”Not bathing is a moral decision of mine! I punch walls when I’m in Kyung’s courtyard!” he declared, placing his hands on his hips and posing as if he were some sort of overrated super-hero. The punching-walls thing was kind of painful, really, but he thought it was pretty effective judging from his muscles. Besides, he couldn’t get a gash in his head by punching a wall! Only scrapes on his knuckles! And that seemed more than worth it, after all. His goal in life was to eventually knock the wall over.

The punch slammed into his face, and he let loose a small shout, looking horrified. It was sure to leave a bruise, even if it wasn’t anything life-threatening. He was also frustrated that he’d even allowed his angered boyfriend to get in a hit. As far as Bat was concerned, that wasn’t at all fair! ”You should show my face a little more love!” he complained, rubbing one of his cheeks in particular that had been caught by the hit.

The moment after that, he threw his leg forward in an attempt to trip the legionnaire. His epic muscles had to pay off somehow!

Jianyu gritted his teeth, feeling a wave of immense satisfaction that his fist had landed where he wanted it to. Bataar was looking thoroughly shocked and irritated simultaneously, an unhappy frown on his rugged face as he yelled at him. However, the leg that Bataar swung out managed to catch his ankle, and Jianyu staggered abruptly, falling forward. He managed to break his fall by throwing out his hands, scraping his palms on the rough dirty ground. Jianyu let out a cough, spitting blood as he raised a hand, swiping some loose dark strands from his face.

"Yeah, right." he snorted, a slightly maniacal grin on his face as he looked up the Mongol. "How about you show me a little love, Bataar, and I'll return the favor by respecting your face."

He was not quite sure where that had come from. Perhaps the heat was getting to him, after all. But he was still annoyed at being taunted, irritated by Bataar's declarations.

"b*****d!" Jianyu snarled, and flung himself forward, his arms wrapping around Bataar's legs as he tackled the man the ground. Two could play at that game.

Cool laughter slipped from his lips as he watched Jianyu fall to the ground, just barely breaking it. Once again, he was delighting in this battle with the man he was dating. This was exactly how he liked his fights; he always felt as if he were at an uncanny advantage the moment he’d knocked the other Lunarian down. Obviously, the legionnaire didn’t stand a chance! Bataar was convinced that it was his own brilliance that had produced this sort of success, but it was clear that the other man was probably quite tired out already from his training. Bat was probably just hurting someone who was already damaged, as much as he refused to acknowledge it.

It was impossible for the Mongol to translate Jianyu’s next words, and he stood there blankly for what was probably quite some time, especially considering the situation. In a battle, seconds were more like minutes, and that was exactly what Bataar was using up. ”But I do show you love.” he huffed childishly, trying not to look at all on the insecure side as he pouted in Jianyu’s direction. This was love, of course! This fighting, this tripping, this punching! It was the perfect kind of adoration to show to one’s boyfriend.

Well, in Bataar’s opinion, at least. He didn’t understand the gentle nuances that most relationships entailed, and didn’t want to. ”Why would you—“ he was swiftly cut off as Jianyu tripped him. He was more than a little screwed as the legionnaire’s arms wrapped around his legs, and he slammed to the ground. His breath was pushed from his entire body as he attempted to escape from Jianyu, trying to take as much advantage as he could of this terrible situation. The only way to really work this predicament was to conquer the other man, and that meant hopping right on top and punching him in the chest—hard.

"Love my a - arrrgghhh!"

Jianyu let out an indignant squawk as Bataar flipped himself over, colliding on top of him. He felt the breath knocked from him, and Jianyu let out gasp for air as Bataar's fist hit his chest. It hurt like hell, and for a few seconds Jianyu couldn't seem to draw air to breathe, his lungs heaving with the effort.

"Damn...b*****d!" Jianyu choked out, coughing. "You...hit me way too hard, you...moron!"

His bruised hands reached up, pushing against the Mongol's chest in an effort to get him off of him, but to no avail. Bataar was heavy and strong, and he was grinning down at Jianyu like he always did when he was excited. Jianyu scowled, his fingers prodding at Bataar's solid chest, struggling to move him at least an inch or two so that he could breathe easier. He swore loudly, and quite foully, using more of the words he had learned from his brothers.

"Why do you have to be so irritating?" Jianyu growled. "I swear I will be the one to win this fight. I will be the one to come out on top this time!"

With a grunt of exertion, Jianyu drew his knee up, slamming it into Bataar's chest and shoving him roughly sideways, falling on top of him. He grabbed one of the Mongol's wrists, aiming a fist to his face once more.

Bataar smirked down at Jianyu, looking viciously pleased with himself. ”Well, what did you expect?” he demanded, cracking his knuckles and looking pleased with himself. Dealing out bruises was exactly the type of thing that seemed immensely romantic to the Mongol, and he could hardly lie about such a thing. Taking advantage of Jianyu’s weaknesses was always rather amusing, and there was no way he was ever going to stop. His delight grew as the other man began to curse, and he listened carefully, recording a few words deep inside his banks of memory. Sometimes Jianyu’s curses were just so creative!

”I don’t think you’re ever going to end up on top.” Bat snorted, crossing his arms for a moment before remembering his place and using them to restrain Jianyu. He was convinced that he always ought to win, and was about to carry that idea through. Besides, Bat was not irritating! He was quite pleasant to be around, in his own good opinion, and he was more than willing to stick with that idea. Being as dense as he was, he was also a little on the side of big-headed. He was used to emerging the winner, despite his last battle with the other man.

The knee to his chest was more than he’d expected, and it was extremely painful. ”Ouch, damn it!” Bat cried, looking rather perturbed at the fact that he was now underneath the other man. And now his face was being threatened yet again! He swiftly brought a hand up to block Jianyu’s fist, glaring darkly. Lately he was a little more concerned with his appearance, since Yuudai had started tossing him into the bath every once in a while, and he hardly needed more in the way of bruises on his poor, abused face!

This move deserved an insult! ”I guess I prefer your punches to your kisses, at least.”

"I swear I will end up on top this time!" Jianyu snarled, thoroughly put out that his punch had not been carried through. Bataar's fingers were curled around his fist, holding them tightly to prevent Jianyu from moving further. His own hand was gripping the Mongol's other wrist, both of them struggling to overpower the other. He did not much appreciate the next comment, and Jianyu felt his face grow red.

"You - what?!" he sputtered, outraged at the insinuation. A part of him understood why Bataar had said what he had said - after all, it was a trademark of the Mongol to be outrageously dense and somewhat less than typical in his way of expressing his affections - but the other part of him was highly insulted by the grin that spread across Bataar's face. Jianyu glared down at him.

"You, Bataar Jaoret, are pissing me off." he snarled, raising his knee to press into the Mongol's stomach, his fingers tightening around Bataar's wrist. He still could not move his other hand, but that didn't stop him from leaning forward and pressing his lips to Bataar's just to be obnoxious. After all, a comment like that warranted at least some show of retaliation. Jianyu pulled back after a moment, his face still flushed with slight embarrassment and the defensiveness of earlier.

"If you are so opposed to my kisses, then why do you get flustered after them?" Jianyu snapped, having the distinct feeling that he was getting rather off the subject. The fight had started because he was attempting to defend his reasoning for training, yet it had veered off into defending his romantic techniques. This was not exactly an ideal situation. Jianyu's eyes flashed with irritation. Kneeing Bataar hard in the stomach, he attempted to jerk his hand away from Bataar's.

"Why do you always have to have the last word?!"

Bataar honestly didn’t think Jianyu had any right whatsoever to be on top. In fact, he was determined not to allow that particular predicament to occur; it was simply better when Bat had control of things, not to mention his own personal property, which he fully believed Jianyu was despite any comments the other Lunarian might spit out. He didn’t really understand the legionnaire’s outrage although that was partly because he literally did like punches better than kisses. For Bat, a fight would always be the best and most romantic thing in the world, no matter what. That was just the manner in which he thrived, and he wasn’t likely to change anytime soon.

He knew full well he was pissing the legionnaire off, and he absolutely loved it. The kiss, though unexpected, was not entirely unwelcome, either. As much as he liked fights, that hardly meant he was dead-set against these sorts of things. He knew that that was Jianyu’s favored way of displaying affection, despite the frustrations the kisses were sometimes produced from. Bataar could deal with that, only because he’d made it his priority to understand just how much his and the legionnaire’s opinions differed when it came to this whole dating thing. Sometimes it was clear that they were as different as night and day, but he didn’t mind so much. Wouldn’t it be boring if he were with someone he could actually manage to predict?

”Questions, questions.” Bat muttered in complaint, brushing the back of his wrist over his lips briefly in the slightest display of embarrassment. That was when the knee to his stomach came, and there was no way he was going to tolerate that kind of treatment! It had been painful, to say the least, and he was now glaring at the other man, having twisted around to escape his grip.

Bataar lashed out an arm, making sure to connect with the bottom of Jianyu’s chin, knowing just how painful such a hit might be. He deserved it, as far as the Mongol was concerned, and he had no qualms about the nice punch. ”Don’t even try it.” he complained, standing hastily and brushing off his clothes. Fights were good and well, but not when Jianyu started making such nasty moves!

The slight tinge of red that flitted across Bataar's face was, despite the situation they were both in, rather endearing. Jianyu felt a small, unexpected flutter of affection for the Mongol, which was quickly extinguished by the arm that Bataar flung into his chin. It knocked him backwards, his jaws snapping together painfully. He fell to the side, one hand flying up to massaging his aching face. That damn move had hurt quite a bit, enough that for a few moments Jianyu was disoriented, his vision fading black momentarily. With a groan, he shook his head, his hand moving to touch the bloody gash on his forehead.

He had lost. Again. Frustration coursed through him. It was difficult to say if he would ever beat Bataar, other than that one coincidental time. The Mongol was strong and moved quickly, and though Jianyu had tried his hardest, he had still not managed to win. Jianyu gritted his teeth before letting out a low sigh, his breath whistling out slowly. He sat up painfully, and looked up at Bataar. He didn't want to say the words out loud, so he said them in his head.

You win.
