≪≫≪█ ▌-- Loud-mouthed -- ▌█
If Sakn needs to say something he will, more often the not, do so. And with vigor. This fisherboy has been raised in a home without table manners and where role models tend to smoke heavily and spit. His mother has attempted, without reward, to curb her son's loose lips and scathing remarks, but it has only seemed to make things worse, as Sakn is going through his rebellious stage.
This 'speak before think' attitude will definitely keep Sakngea from being pushed around, but he will most likely end up with several enemies because of his sharp tongue and blunt attitude.
As a Fighter, Sakngea has grown exponetially. He is more frugal with his comments, but he is no less aggressive. He may take a minute to think about what he has to say now a days, but that doesn't mean what comes out is any less blunt.
He also feels that the things he says should be taken with more respect and athority, and ocassionally this might come off as egotisitcal or self-centered.
≪≫≪█ ▌-- Stubborn -- ▌█
Much like a dog (or great hero of old...but still more like a dog), once Sakngea sinks his teeth into something, he doesn't let go, for the most part. The young boy doesn't think saving face is worth losing his life, but it is worth breaking a few rules and being a smart a**.
This is the kind of nature that causes Sakngea to end up stuck doing things he doesn't want to do. Like when he was four and he bet his ma he could harvest their little garden all on his own. His hands hurt, but his pride and bull-headedness kept him from giving up and crying.
As a Fighter, Sakngea has honed his stubborn nature and given it a path. Sure, he's still jumping head first into situations and priding himself on his ability to get things done. And yes, he still refuses to give up on things with out a fight, but its a righteous kind of stubborn nature; a certain type of dignity.
≪≫≪█ ▌-- Socially Awkward -- ▌█
Socially awkward for Sakngea doesn't mean that he is afraid of people, or unsure how to act. It just means that no one can expect him to come to a well-to-do shindig and actual dress up. Or eat at a table. Or know not to burp or make crude comments and laugh loudly.
Can you really expect much different from a dusty-footed, salty-haired fisherboy?
As a Fighter, Sakngea as learned enough from his friends and even his enemies to be less of a socially awkward country bumpkin and more of a man. Not that he's well-to-do or anything, but he has picked up a few tricks and pass off as just another city inhabitant if he so wishes to. Not that he often does.
≪≫≪█ ▌-- Hard shell but soft on the inside! -- ▌█
Being raised as a fisher has alienated Sakn from most women, and has left him hard and rough. He acts coarse and crude, and for the most part, that is really who he is. Sakn doesn't touch on those gentler emotions because his role models (the other fishermen and dockworkers) never did.
But underneath that hard outer layer is a gooey center. He tries to hide it as much as possible (because a real man isn't soft, you know!), but when push comes to shove and he finds himself falling over the edge and loosing his grip, Sakngea shows his softer side, and might even cry every once in a while.
Not that he would admit to it if someone caught him (I jus' got summfin in mah eye).
As a Fighter, Sakngea has come to realize he can't do everything on his own. He knows he needs his family, his friends and those he loves. He has come to understand that together, they stand a better chance then seperate. This has helped to make him slightly slight rough around the edges and more friendly. But at the price of learning this, he has also learned to tuck things away.
He can become completely cold if the right situation calls for it, putting up a series of walls and deflections to protect both himself and those he cares about.
≪≫≪█ ▌-- Loyal -- ▌█
Friends, family, beliefs. These are Sakn's supports; his stable ground. He is loyal to the bone with all the things he cares about, and it is probably the only time he would forget questioning his own safety, and instead take the leap to protect those he cares for.
(In fact, the scar upon his cheek was made because he stood up for his father, who had just lost a large sum of money gambling and drinking. Even though his father had thoroughly embarrassed their family, Sakngea stood fast and stuck up for the man.)
His loyalty is strong, but once lost, it is hard to regain.
As a Fighter, Sakngea's loyalty as been tested a tried, but he still holds true. If anything, his loyalty to those he cares for has only intensified, though he has made a few decisions in the name of protecting people that may not be the correct ones.
Hobbies
≪≫≪█ ▌-- Fishing --▌█
Fishing is Sakngea‘s favourite past-time, and in retrospect, the cloest the boy has ever gotten to religion. He breaths, eats, and sleeps fishing. His favourite thing to do is find new and interesting places to fish.
This is also his job, and often goes on ‘big fish‘ fishing trips with his father, then helps to sell their catches at the docks and local markets.
Since becoming a Fighter, Sakn has had less and less time to fish and enjoy this more relaxing part of his life. Not that he doesn't try to get away to enjoy some cool water and fresh breeze every once in a while.
≪≫≪█ ▌-- Board games --▌█
His mother always loved board games, and passed her love for strategy down to her son. They started with simple games like checkers and tic-tac-toe before moving up to more difficult games like chess and go. Sakngea enjoys learning about new board games, but hates losing and often falls back onto checkers, because it is easy and simple to play.
He even carries around a small leather pouch that contains small black and white rocks so he can play on the go!
Since becoming a Fighter, Sakn has started using a small set up at home to play out battle strategies. It was something inspired by a friend he misses, and he has come to enjoy playing out this little scenarios even more then a friendly game of checkers.
≪≫≪█ ▌-- Black Market --▌█
Since becoming a Fighter, Sakngea can most commonly be found walking through the Black Markets. The small, packed alleys are comforting to him. The brawls with their bets, the exotic animals and the fine weaponry, all of it sooths him. He spends hours down in the dark dirty underbelly of the city, placing occassional bets and fancying the contraband goods.
But his favorite thing is to speak with the people. Learn their secrets, find out the news they know. Information sells just as well in the market as a good sword, so Sakn all but eats up anything he hears, just in case he can use the information later. And in the Black Market, hes found that someones always ready to buy some juicy gossip.

█ ▌--Bopha--▌ Sakngea's Mother ▌Loud ▌Controlling ▌Paternal █ █
 Bopha ≪Cambodian for 'beautiful flower'≫ is an older woman, but while she may be aging, she hasn't lost her spirit. The red-headed lunarian is a spitfire, much like her son.
She dreams of one day moving to the City and having a fine house and maids and silk slippers, and imagines that her son will marry some beautiful, rich Legion girl. She dreams of two grandchildren and a fine house for her and her husband.
Of course, she realizes her son is rather rough around the edges, and spends a lot of time attempting to make him presentable. She loves him no matter what though, even if she complains about the way he acts.
Bopha loves sweet candies, cleaning and shopping in the city.
█ ▌--Noreaksey--▌ Sakngea's Father ▌Easy-going ▌Jovial ▌Strong █ █
Noreaksey ≪Cambodian for 'great power' or 'truthful'≫ is the gentle to Bopha's rough; where she is tough on Sakn, he is kind. Nor is a bright man, only slightly younger then his wife, and just as full of energy. He is boisterous, and laughs every day.
And while he is a good, strong man with a big heart, this often times causes Nor to be walked on. He dreams of catching a sea serpent and hopes to have another child. Nor has a gambling problem.
He is slightly unnerved by the revaluation that his son is able to communicate with the dead, and would prefer that his son just simply give up his training and come back to working on the skiff. It's all just a little too deep for Nor to comprehend.
He likes fishing, being a father, and sour fruits.
█ ▌--Sothy--▌ DECEASED Village Priestess and Sakngea's Mentor ▌Serious ▌Crotchety ▌Forgetful █ █
Sothy ≪Cambodian for 'sage'≫, was Sakngea's hard-a** mentor. An old woman with a bitter past and a closed-off heart, Sothy was hard to be around on her good days. She often started arguments and believed one must become strong on their own, without help.
She was a living soul conduit, and often times when she met people, she spent more time reading their aura then actually talking to them. She thought people are all liars, and didn't trust the word of anyone.
She trained Sakngea to focus on his qi through hard work and meditation. She also taught him how to write properly, and often was know to smack him over the head when he messes up. Strangely enough, she seemed to think of Sakngea as her son, perhaps to replace the one she lost in the war.
Liked warm nights, traditional music, and scaring small children.

She threatened him even! If he sees her again he show her what's up.  --█ -- ▌ RIVALS!!!!! Sakn's rival! He can't stand Jianyu after their fight at (and in) the pond, and plans to get his revenge for being pushed around.
