This is a private RP between Jianyu [Kuro-Mizuki] and Bataar [Kayakurai].
Setting: Somewhere in the backwoods of Lunaria. Jianyu finds a rather large rat sleeping an alley.

The streets of Lunaria were crowded, its patrons bustling from shop to shop browsing for whatever it was that they needed. Some stopped inside of a tavern to get a drink, while others wandered down to the seaside to see what fish they might catch for the day. Others, such as Jianyu, were simply taking a break from the hassles of everyday life.
His faithful bow tied to his belt strap, a sheath of arrows on his back, Jianyu held a small bag of food in one of his hands. He was bringing back some sweets for his sisters, and he had stopped to purchase them at a small stand before starting to head back home.
He decided to take a shortcut. Cutting through a series of smaller side roads off to the left of Lunaria's Main Street, Jianyu found himself in the lesser well known streets, where the dirt paths were dirtier, the windows of the abandoned houses streaked with grime and dust. He turned a corner.
"What the hell - ?"
He had tripped over something. A leg. Jianyu's eyes followed the leg up to the rest of the body to land on a very familiar looking face.
"Bataar." Jianyu snapped. "What the hell are you doing?"

He'd been lost and he'd been tired. It had seemed a logical choice to settle down on the ground with a few friendly rats to take a nap. Despite the time he'd spent in the imperial city, he was still terrible at finding his way around. The maroon Lunarian clearly had no sense of direction whatsoever.
He groaned as he felt someone trip over his leg and pulled Jianyu's cloak over his eyes, wishing to ignore the stranger out of sheer annoyance; clearly, he was trying to nap here! The filth of the alley didn't bother Bat in the slightest, and it wasn't about to. He was used to being dirty, after all; in fact, he preferred it that way and believed that he'd smelled much too nice lately-- his mother was probably responsible for the change. So why not relax in an alleyway while he wasn't near Odval? That had definitely been a big part of his decision to nap here.
A familiar voice threw him out of his reverie. "Oh, shut up." he muttered, peeking out from beneath the cloak, whose original owner was now standing before him. "Obviously, I am napping!"
That was right. Even men as manly as himself needed naps every once in a while.

The alleyway was filthy. Jianyu wrinkled his nose in disgust, glaring down at the man who lay at his feet.
"Why in Lunaria's name would you choose to nap in this hellhole?" Jianyu growled. "Not to mention that is my cloak you are getting covered in this grime!"
He was surprised that Bataar had even kept the cloak. Jianyu had been certain that after their fight that day, Bataar would have ripped it to shreds and thrown it in the garbage. He felt an odd sort of satisfaction and pleasure at seeing that he had, in fact, not done as he had expected.
A rat scurried out from underneath Bataar.
"That's it!" Jianyu reached down, seizing Bataar's arm and yanking him to his feet. "You're coming with me!"

Bataar stared up at Jianyu, a frown gracing his features as he listened to the other Lunarian. "This is a perfectly good place to sleep! I have a few very good friends that live here." The man picked up a squirming rat and gestured to it, looking charmed by the small animal's squeals of protest and struggles.
He flushed just a little at the mention of Jianyu's cloak; he hadn't meant to keep it, after all! "It's my cloak. I... I stole it from you!" That was right; it was much more manly to steal something as opposed to taking it as a gift or something. Besides that, he didn't want to own up to the fact that he dragged it around like it was his special blankie or something. That would just make him sound more moronic than he already was! He hastily put the cloak aside from himself, trying not to look guilty.
"Oh, hey! Don't leave!" Bat protested as the rat ran off; Jianyu was clearly to blame for disturbing the little animal. He was about to berate the other man, but he was quite late in trying to make a comment before Jianyu snatched his arm and tugged him up. He just barely kept a hold on the cloak as the Legionnaire dragged him away from the filthy area where he'd been sleeping.

"You did not steal my cloak." Jianyu growled as he walked down the streets of Lunaria, towing the great Mongol behind him. "I gave it to you, you moronic landmass!"
They turned the corner. People were beginning to stare, but Jianyu was too determined to care at the present moment.
"How can you even stand to be around those disgusting creatures?" he snapped, meaning the rats. "They're horrible. And they smell rotten. You smell rotten!"
They had reached their destination. Jianyu shoved Bataar towards the door.
"In." he said. "You are getting a bath, whether you like it or not."

"I definitely stole it!" Bat replied, looking disconcerted; he wasn't sure where they were going and therefore was having a hard time maintaining the argument. The only thing he knew at this point was that having some homo's cloak was probably not the best way to keep up his reputation.
And speaking of homos... Jianyu was holding his damned hand! Bataar flushed, hoping his dirty cheeks would hide the blush that was gathering on his face. He wasn't exactly sure why he wasn't yanking his hand away, but the Legionnaire didn't seem to be aware of anything, so it was probably okay not to do anything about it.
Disgusting creatures? "I love rats!" Bat shouted, causing quite a few people to turn their heads in confusion. He merely smirked proudly as the other man commented on his delightful odor. He had always particularly preferred being smelly to being clean; now that was manly!
He shrank back as they approached the bathouse, looking horrified. "What? No! No!" He squeezed Jianyu's hand, looking terrified as the other man shoved him towards the door; it was an unconcious action, but he seemed to believe he'd be safe if he clung to the other Lunarian. "I could drown, Jianyu!"
Hadn't he ever heard of the term 'drowned rat'?

"You are not going to drown." Jianyu said, attempting to free his hand from Bataar's iron-tight grip. For the first time, the Mongol seemed actually afraid of something. That was unusual. Bataar was most definitely not the type to intimidate easily, and he had a habit of barrelling on through things nearly everyone else might find frightening. It actually made Jianyu stop for a moment, his dark eyebrows drawing together.
"You are not going to drown." Jianyu said again, but his voice was a bit quieter this time, a little less forceful. "Now, let's go."
The bathhouse was quite deserted during this particular time of the day. Most of its normal patrons were training or doing jobs to provide for their families. The room that Jianyu dragged Bataar into was empty, and steam rose from the hot water.
He turned around, facing Bataar.
"In." he directed. "Get in."

Baths made Bataar miserable. He'd met a considerably terrifying girl in the bathouse once, and still hadn't recovered. He grimaced as Jianyu dragged him in, looking less than pleased to be there. There were a lot of nightmare scenarios that could play out here, damn it! "Oh, yeah? You won't be saying that when I'm dead!" When it came to bathing, Bat had a penchant for the melodramatic.
He glanced around the bathouse with some trepidation and stared at Jianyu dumbly as the other man commanded him to get into the bath. "I really don't like you." he muttered grudgingly, detaching his hand from the Legionnaire's and then ripping off his clothes without a hint of modesty or the decency to look embarrassed. If anything, he was a little cold, and the bath would at least warm him up to some degree. Sleeping in a dirty puddle wasn't the best way to keep warm in cold weather, after all.
He stepped into the bath, sighing to himself as he reflected that he would surely lose his amazing odor today.
"You're coming in too, right? You're not allowed to be filthy while I'm clean." he directed his speech in Jianyu's direction with some degree of spite.

"I am perfectly all right with you disliking me." Jianyu said as Bataar let go of his hand. "Considering that I do not find you the least bit..." His voice trailed off abruptly as Bataar shed his clothing.
Jianyu had seen Bataar naked several times already. He already knew that the Mongol was well-muscled and had a nicely defined form, but he seemed to have developed more in the past few days. His chest was strong and muscular, his body lean from the training he must have received. Jianyu blinked, studiously ignoring the flush that unexpecteldy crossed his cheeks.
"...the least bit amiable." he finished, rather lamely, before scowling.
"What are you, five?" he snapped. "Why would I come in there with you?"

Bataar furrowed his eyebrows as Jianyu trailed off, looking confused. Normally the other man was never at a loss for words, but today he seemed to be having some trouble. The Mongol shrugged it off as he finally finished his sentence. "Well, I do dislike you!" He stood his ground on the subject.
"I am a lot older than five!" Bat shouted, looking disconcerted at Jianyu's apparent confusion with his age. He didn't understand how it related to the situation at hand, either; was the Legionnaire dumb or something? He certainly had been saying a lot of odd things lately.
He huffed in indignation and crossed his arms over his muscular chest. "My mom used to take baths with me!"

Jianyu rolled his eyes.
"Oh, for heaven's sake - " he snapped, and reached up, unlatching the straps that held the arrows to his back. He set them down on a nearby bench, and they were followed by his bow, his overcoat, and finally his entire uniform.
"Only because you're not going to stop irritating me until I get in." Jianyu said, scowling at Bataar. He stepped down into the warm water, flinching slightly at the sudden heat that rose to greet him. After a few seconds he became used to it, and sank down into the warm water, closing his eyes and breathing in deeply.
"You sure do not act older than five." Jianyu grumbled, and pulled the ties from his ponytail, letting his hair fall down around his shoulders.

Bataar looked pleased as Jianyu obeyed his wishes, and looked as if he were in an even better mood when he noted that Jianyu didn't have half the muscle mass that he did. It was always gratifying to know that his training paid off, after all. "Stop being so stingy about it! I got in, so you should too; now that's that!"
Looking gratified now that the Legionnaire had entered the bath, Bataar sank until the water was over his head, and then came back up, his hair dripping. As much as he disliked baths, he was generally fine once he'd gotten into one. The situation always seemed worse than it was.
"Yeah, right." he snorted, pushing his fingers through his thick hair as he tried--and failed--to squeeze out some of the water. That was another bad thing about baths! His hair always took absolutely forever to dry.
Oh, well. It was too late now.

"Whether or not I get in has nothing to do with whether or not you get in. Jianyu said dryly as he shook his head, sending droplets of water skittering across the surface of the bath. "You're filthy, end of story."
Reaching over to the edge of the bath, Jianyu scrounged around until he came up with a bar of soap and a cloth for washing. Then he waded back over to Bataar, lathering up his hands.
"Time to wash." he said, and pushed his fingers into Bataar's tangled mass of curls, working out the snarls and the grime. "Oh, for heaven's sake - do you ever wash your hair? It's disgusting."

As far as he was concerned, his dunking had gotten him perfectly clean already. The Mongol looked extremely irritated when Jianyu started washing his hair, grimacing as some soap entered his eye. "Hey! Stop! That hurts!" he protested, biting his lip. The only reason he was submitting to this without punching Jianyu square in the jaw was because he was beginning to feel oddly dizzy. Maybe this bath really was going to kill him! Bat looked rather alarmed at the idea, as he sank down into the water, his expression absolutely morbid.
"Washing hair is for girly men." he mumbled faintly, shutting his green eyes and leaning heavily against Jianyu. Was this drowning, or something else? Maybe the bath water was poisoned by the Legionnaire! Bat didn't stop to think that Jianyu was in the water just next to him, and probably wasn't so suicidal.
He rested his head on Jianyu's shoulder, feel flushed and much too warm; the heat was getting to him. "Jianyu, I feel hot." he complained softly into the Legionnaire's ear, hoping he wasn't about to vomit or something. This was making him sick!
