Weapon Detail & Progression

_____________________________________________________________

Kotone's staff is of a slender bamboo design in outer appearance, deep green (almost black). Without weapon projection to alter its size, it remains at its original length of 2.5 feet. When allowed to shop for a trinket in an antique shop during a simple outing with her parents, and given her eccentric tendencies, this object was what she picked. She values this object greatly because the memories around it of that day are the most intimate of her family experiences. This feeling of hers has enabled her to heighten her experience with her magic, preventing the object from being damaged, etc.

Kotone's weapon does not permanently change. Out of battle, she is able to dismiss her magic to revert it back to its state as she had originally purchased the item, kept hanging at her side with a belt she had commissioned. This belt is fashioned out of leather and has a fitted iron ring that secures hold on the staff. She draws her weapon by using her magic to decrease the diameter of her staff so as to slip it out of the ring's hold and goes about the same process to secure it again when not in use.

As an academy student, Kotone’s magical capacity is limited to two abilities. Her first priority is dedicating most of her energy to the extraordinary unbreakable extreme of her weapon. This leaves only a bit of room for her to be able to keep a weapon-length change for a little over a minute at a time before the size spell fades. She has to wait a half hour to regain the amount of magic expended for a length spell or risk detracting from the extent she maintains of her most prioritized ability. However, she values her weapon too much to ever make such a sacrifice. She even cuts the time she alters her weapon’s size short, not waiting for the magic to run out on its own, for fear of her weapon’s wellbeing. At this time, Kotone is still building up her weapon projection. Therefore, when she is not dodging and trying to wear her opponent out with her speed and endurance, her staff acts chiefly for blocking in battles, since physically, she is weakest at taking blows. So, her offense relies heavily on unarmed moves. Thus, to deal with her light weight and in turn, blows lacking power, she strengthens them with added momentum such as by charging her foe. Additionally, if she casts an elongating spell on her staff so she can swing up high for height to drop down in order to supplement a kick, she can only manage to include such a spell once per thirty minutes.

In her fighter rank, Kotone's staff remains blunt, while her training will reward her with new skills, and increased magic capacity and physical fitness. She will continue to heighten her endurance at sustaining length spells on her staff for longer periods of time. And, she will begin to use her staff offensively in battle as well; also adding momentum to her staff-executions. One way she goes about this is by spinning her staff in windmill-like motions before striking. Furthermore, slowly she will improve with practice and further through battle experience on dealing effective attacks by impacting critical points on her opponents' bodies. Kotone will revel in polishing her capability of swinging up, and then standing or crouching while balancing on her staff’s tip. Equally as much, she will delight in developing a dodge via riding her staff like a pogo stick.

Upon reaching the captain rank, Kotone’s further growth in magic capacity grants more of her ideas to take shape. Her imagination leads her to be able to change her staff so as it can have a sharp end (or both ends if she so chooses, depending on her decision for the situation she's in). This alteration is capable of cleanly, deadly stabs such as in the sort of pitfall traps with bamboo spikes in them where victims meet their doom. It is also at this time that Kotone will begin to hone her magic of likening her staff to the flexibility of a flying snake’s body.

Arriving at the general rank, Kotone’s efforts in her journey as a warrior will have garnered her exceptional improvement in magic capacity and physical fitness. Here Kotone will take the opportunity to incorporate an additional ability. It is now that she will be able to change her staff so as it has an expanded cutting range. This is by means of having one of the or both ends of her staff turn into a fan of protruding blades shaped like bamboo leaves [reference pic link].

Her Personality

_____________________________________________________________

Eccentric.

How her clock ticks can be tricky to predict and analyze. For instance, both popular and unpopular sorts of flowers that look like weeds for example can catch her attention and it's just as likely for her to choose one over the other and vice versa. Her tastes and thoughts and ideas and behavior and basically almost everything about her seem to be able to shift in variety and may at first seem like she has no boundaries to possibilities about her. However, she does have her do's and don't's that she stands by which her behavior can provoke overlooking by others. An example is that she doesn't drink alcohol; but she also can suddenly speak in bright singsongs that she seemingly doesn't intend without the aid of any beverage. Her eccentricity is an asset to her in ways such as her incorporation of ideas she gets in battle and in being resourceful in a variety of situations in and out of battle. It also helps her counteract any stress she may be feeling to keep her from sulking for too long, in an additional example.

Trust-phobic.

Kotone has a problem of desiring and attempting to be able to do everything in an objective requiring team effort by herself. This habit of hers started and developed overly so when she resolved to live her life independently and strongly, wanting to be capable of fending for herself. This has been influenced by her fear of repeating the cycle of her family's history for want to avoid the same sort of complicated, melancholy feelings as their interactions among each other contain and she feels too overly familiar with for her liking. Kotone's trust-phobia is a barrier that keeps her from forming close relationships outside of her family and thus is a hindrance to her experiencing reciprocating trust with others. But even so, her family is not as close as it seems as well. Her trust-phobia causes her to be hesitant at accepting offered assistance. And if she does, she would rather not prolong returning a favor. This characteristic of hers also puts a wall around herself, and is thus one of the reasons for her lone existence. How can one be trusted by others if they are afraid of trusting others? Also, even if she is lonely, she does well in masking and denying that she is, to the point that years of covering up her loneliness has resulted in a strong denial that is effortless and second nature to her to pull off. In other words, despite being able to keep herself from wallowing in negative feelings, this only delays how quickly her efforts at maintaining self-sufficiency prove the existence of her phobia. This can also provoke the questioning of the sincerity of (if she truly even cares for) her said beliefs such as regarding her support in trusting in the Lunaria under the Emperor's leadership and her stand against the rebellion. Therefore, with this trust-phobia of hers, and if she was without the side of her that is recklessly just, her beliefs would be without credibility. Kotone doesn't realize that despite her efforts to be different from her family, she is similar to her family in that they are all shielding themselves, preventing themselves from deeper relations with the purpose of steering clear of complication. The reason she deviates from her family's degree of formality is that she has a strong desire to try and counteract this influence of theirs on her but what Kotone's efforts are only doing is masking it.

Cultivated.

Kotone has been influenced by her upbringing to the extent that her executions of formal Japanese manner, postures, and motions are naturally beautiful and is a coupling essence in all manners of her behavior. Though she may contradict formal Japanese character in her antics, she remains cultivated. For instance she may be spontaneously nosy but also as likely in the manner of inquiring with "may I ask why are you.." than "what the heck are you..". Her eccentric style that comes effortlessly to her is to proceed with the mentality such as by going up to a troublemaker and asking about their reasons. Then, depending on their reactions or replies, she accepts the reality of the answers she receives and either goes on her way letting them be or not hesitate to--in her calm state of mind--head past them to open a locked door to set the victim of bullying free and accept the consequences of moving to execute her actions.

Reckless.

Kotone is inclined to a lot of reckless behaviors. Climb and jump off a cliff for example? She's to a worrisome degree not at all very intimidated with the concept and finds the concept of being able to execute such things would be thrilling and worthwhile to train for. Her spontaneity for epic feats of physical, bizarre antics and scenes and situations of most kinds that are able to catch her attention and/or interest, can cause her to couple her recklessness with her eccentricity and proceed oddly, which has reaped both rewarding discoveries and trouble for her. One such instance is when she got into a fight after asking a kid twice her size why they locked another kid in the equipment room and the reply was bullying because they found that person to be the ugliest.

Insecure.

Influenced by factors growing up such as her mother frequently pointing out, in a painfully articulate fashion, inadequacies concerning her and seldom being told of jobs well done, Kotone is lacking in self-confidence. Her insecurity is manifested in her speech when she speaks with unsure tone and diction and admits when she is not confident of her words and thoughts and actions despite acquaintances pointing out during interactions that she shouldn‘t worry. Regardless if her thoughts or answers are fine or correct, she feels a tugging worry and doubt which is disclosed in her voice. This mentality of hers detracts from her efficiency in expressing herself and executing her actions. The delivery of her words are characterized as soft and hesitant. Her motions are affected such as being dampened, slowed, and delayed. Kotone‘s insecurity manifests itself most when among others rather than during her alone times. For example, she makes more mistakes playing the koto when someone is watching. Also, despite practicing a firm delivery for a speech for class, her voice starts out shaky and bears an increased portion of her usual soft tone that was of a smaller portion during practices.

Her Quirk

_____________________________________________________________

Kotone's quirk is sampling food.

Growing up, Kotone's father would tell the cooks to suggest to Kotone to sample each available dish during a meal and Kotone did sample each dish when offered and grew fond of sampling food. It then became a habit for her to want to sample each dish before settling on her choices for her meal. Not only that, when food is mentioned or seen, she wants to sample them. Her parents were able to decrease Kotone's unusual quirk only a bit when they were alerted by her teachers that she was going up to other students sampling their food without permission during meals when she was a child. So, Kotone doesn't just help herself to a sample of food without asking anymore; her parents' counseling has instilled in her to always remember to consider asking first. And, with the development of her trust-phobia, Kotone is inclined to trade something in exchange for being allowed to sample food. Also, Kotone finds it fun to try to sneak into parties to do so. Her poor excuse is that this is helpful, since the less leftovers the better.

What Floats Her Boat & What Doesn't

_____________________________________________________________

Does | Sparring. Koto. Strolls. Knitting.

Kotone isn't a natural at sparring. However, she was always drawn to watching the enjoyment of kids her age when they would play-fight with each other. Thus, she didn't hesitate to join in on the fun they seemed to be having wielding their play-fight weapons. Kotone's enjoyment of play-fighting progressed to an enjoyment of more advanced sparring competitions coupled with sportsmanship as she enthusiastically practiced more of her unarmed and armed battle skills. Sparring plays a big part of Kotone's learning of battle approaches. This includes how to counter and deal with and observe how to perform moves. As always, Kotone's eccentric and reckless tendencies are not exempt from her sparring and battles. Even in the most heated situations, if she feels so inclined, she will hum koto music to her liking while amidst a fight and executing her moves.

In regards to the koto (a Japanese harp), Kotone's parents named her having in mind that she would be able to play the instrument. Kotone finds playing the koto very comfortable though her love for sparring is greater. Her skill at playing the koto is average. Aside from playing the Japanese harp, Kotone enjoys humming koto music she knows at random. Kotone's koto playing, she can go about it in two ways. The first way involves her having a calm air about her usually when her family is her audience. However, Kotone needs to be continually reminded to maintain this way of performing due to her being more impish in nature. The second way she goes about performing with the harp is playful with her eccentric twist adding cheerily executed body movements that express her enjoyment when she's inclined to regardless of how her behavior contradicts the piece she's playing. At times, she deliberately fashions her funky behavioral additions to her playing to be of contrast to the music. For example, she would dramatically use a heavy looking posture with lifted elbows while playing a light and fairly quick composition for example or use carefree-looking motions despite the music being melancholy. In these ways, she is quite the rebel in koto playing as well. Kotone runs on bizarre inspiration as she is highly capable of amusing herself. And how Kotone goes about humming koto tunes is of her unique touch as well. Kotone goes about humming a tune as it is at times but inclined when alone to hum tunes in a different style than how they are paced in the music scores she plays. Kotone really doesn't mind being seen or heard whichever way she goes about playing the koto or humming koto music. In her family's case, they prefer she avoid her rebellious approach in such when they are her audience. Kotone is open to adjusting the style she uses according to what any audience she'd happen to have would or wouldn't mind. She doesn't prefer one style greater than the other. She just goes with her flow and is quite laidback regarding aspects of koto and so she is quite flexible about any requests regarding this.

Kotone is fond of strolls for the sites she sees and observes. She doesn't like to sit for too long even if she's somewhat tired during the day and she finds the less strenuous exercise fun second to sparring as they are a means of some adventure in her opinion. Another fact is that strolls provide her recklessness more opportunities to manifest itself. Even her strolls of course, have Kotone's eccentric antics coupled with them. For instance, she is inclined to such behaviors such as her frolicking in the forest through the uneven landscape while humming a koto tune in her own revised and spontaneously inspired style. This is coupled with her moving her odd steps and skips and jumps over foliage and so forth in time or not or alternating synced and not-synced with her humming.

Kotone's mother introduced her to knitting in an effort to encourage Kotone to sit still once in a while. Kotone finds knitting to be another relaxing interest. She is terrible at knitting, but she still thoroughly enjoys it and also likes to hum koto tunes when she does so. She enjoys knitting scarves most because to her they resemble the creature, her favorite, that always plays the heroine of the stories her grandfather would tell her to teach and remind her of morals. Kotone's favorite creature is a flying, snake-like dragon. She tries to knit scarves that have her favorite creature's details (ex. the shape of the dragon's head). However, she should really be focusing on preventing the occurrences that always recur without her invitation such as ending up with yarn hanging every which way on her head and shoulders, as well as the many holes that enjoy gracing her finished knit-work. Actually, she already continually tries her best at addressing her weaknesses at knitting, but her efforts have little avail.

Doesn't | Too sugary. Romance.

Kotone doesn't share her grandmother's love of what she classifies as overly sugary sweets. Kotone likes sweets, but if she finds something too sweet, eating it dampens the mood of her meal. As for her issue on romantic love, given her family history, she believes she's very capable of continuing on living a merry life with the absence of firsthand experience of romantic love in it. Despite her adventurous nature toward the unknown, she has formed a strong opinion through watching her parents and grandparents as couples that the happy feelings of being in love that she reads about and observes of others may hold the possibility of also being coupled with the same or similar kind of complicated and very sad circumstances that she's had a close proximity experience of in her home. Thus, this strengthens her resistance to the envy that may at times come over her when seeing couples on her strolls or reading a sweet story. In other words, while Kotone is by no means against love, she's grown certain that what she's seen of the unfortunate state of her elders' marriages has convinced her to exempt romance from her spontaneous nature, positive that she's just as happy without it.

Family History

_____________________________________________________________

[With whom Kotone resides with | Kotone's grandfather: Michi (Hanako's biological father); Kotone's grandmother: Hana (Hanako's biological mother); Kotone's biological father: Hayate; Kotone's biological mother: Hanako]

Kotone's life has some essence of gloominess to it in terms of her history's household experiences in regards to romantic love. Japanese politeness is a characteristic of Kotone's family (but doesn't describe Kotone herself as accurately given that she's quite a rebel when it comes to being nosy and following strangers around on impulse for example). The family atmosphere though it does have a homely feeling in a moderate degree, is slightly dampened by a hint of the aloofness of formality. This atmosphere has remained and is the atmosphere Kotone grew up in. Kotone is a romantic at heart, but her feelings toward related family experiences allow her to keep this part of her in check, perhaps overly so.

In further detail to the aforementioned, Kotone's father was an apprentice of her grandfather Michi. They are koto craftsmen. Kotone's grandmother Hana is a koto tuner. Hanako is a housewife and did not follow in her mother's footsteps because she originally planned to wed another. Hanako did not marry Hayate because she was in love with him despite Hayate being in love with her. Hayate had long been in love with his wife and approached her with the proposal of marriage when her lover chose another. He proposed while she was suffering--offering her his comfort--and she agreed while sorrowful. Complicated and nonsensical and extremely melancholy is how Kotone finds this story, but she realizes that it explains how they interact with a bit too much etiquette.

Kotone's grandparents also continually interact by sticking to the same degree of upholding manners as her mother and father in Kotone's opinion. Her grandmother and grandfather married without love but in convenience given their complementing professions. Kotone is not familiar with her grandparents' side of the family on her father's side since shortly after her birth, the family divided in allegiance. Kotone and her family she lives with, side with the Legion.

Kotone learned most of her family history from her grandmother Hana who decidedly provided her granddaughter with an explanation to her questions of the oddness she observed in her elders' behaviors toward one another by recounting the past that may be repeated with the youth.

Aside from her family's issue on romantic love, Kotone is a pampered person in the sense that she has a good amount of freedom from her family to do what she likes. Aside from her antics, her days have passed in a manner as is common for nobles regardless of allegiance.

_____________________________________________________________

Legion

_____________________________________________________________

Reasons Behind Allegiance |

Kotone sides with the Legion because she is not convinced of the effectiveness of the Nobles' purpose. They resorted to do things secretively when the humans ventured into Lunarian territory, in just the same secretive manner as the Legion. Despite the Nobles being more open in their manner, she sees no outstanding differences in the two sides' ways that make the Nobles' claims credible. And so, how then can they, the Nobles' stand, bring about better conditions than the state Lunaria is now under the Emperor? In her eyes Kotone observes that the Nobles are driven by their dissatsifactions with the current Lunaria. However, she is also of the opinion that pros and cons embody both the lives of those at both ends of the scale of material abundance (each with their own kind of hardships and beauties). More concretely for instance, she can imagine happiness in both living in a large home with many rooms and comforts, and living in a small home where you don't have to walk past many doors to see someone you love.

The Nobles' stand infuriates her for how they sparked this war through their rebellion that was for nothing more than throwing drastically more coal into the flames of the dilemmas of Lunaria. This rebellion has taken part in so much destruction which is sickeningly evident not only within her family but also in the much too much horrendous interactions she's observed between Nobles and Legions everywhere she happens to be. The aforementioned destruction also refers to the lives lost, and the many other forms of devastations inflicted through planting the seed of catalysis for increasing the drive of mutilation in Lunarian interrelations. She steadfastly believes that if this cycle of tension building fiercely, ferociously by day and deadly battles by night doesn't end quickly then it would be Lunaria's demise. Kotone detests the fact--in her eyes--that the Nobles had begun this shameful cycle with their provocation through their uprising, their greed-driven madness.

What She Offers An Allegiance |

Kotone offers her good intentions at negotiation. She also offers her battle skills.

If a scenario requires just negotiation or just battle or both, whichever precedes or follows which, she can handle all three scenarios. In regards to negotiation, she, for the most part, speaks with her good intentions and purpose and without aiming to purely insult. As for her battle skills, simply put: it's like she's one with her magic and weapon; they grow in formidability side-by-side with her caliber as a warrior.

Familiar Lunarians |

Neutral.

[Mizuki - NPC]

(MR01) Kotone refers to this individual as Lady Mizuki and also heard her referred to as priestess at some point. Kotone presumed that this lady's name is Mizuki since she replied to Boray's (Shinta) yelling of the name at the bridge leading to the Shrine of the Great Lake after she came out of the Shrine in the Ancient North. This assumption was supported as Kotone had continued to listen and watch the turn of events. Kotone finds the observation that Boray (Shinta) attacked the Shrine shortly after she whispered something to Boray (Shinta) then had gone and was back inside the Shrine during the attack puzzling; Kotone feels glad that the Shrine didn't burn from the attack. Kotone is also puzzled by these words of hers which Kotone's thoughts understand to be meant for the alliances of the Legion and Nobles: "You enlisted the help of the citizens to find the emperor. A strange fact, but you did it because you all thought it might give you the upper hand - a bargaining tool, even.", "Lunaria will not be at peace until you have settled your disputes with one another. Until then, it will be under the control of the neutral guard - they will watch over Lunaria for me." Kotone wonders how Lady Mizuki's voice filled the air when she was back inside the Shrine and how the Shrine withstood the flames, seeming undamaged, perhaps by magic.

Legion.

[Huang-Fu]

(RR05) Based on the first day of meeting this Lunarian (who she addresses as Sir Huang-Fu), Kotone finds him a kind individual and admirable fisherman. Upon agreeing to meet again including the next day so as she can learn more about fishing from him, she feels very grateful and excited but also wants something in addition to mandarin oranges to and wonders what else she could give him with her gratitude as thank-you gifts. When she met Sir Huang-Fu the day after they first met, he took her on a fishing trip. Kotone finds him a very impressive teacher and is determined to strive to practice and improve at fishing.
(RR07) Kotone's respect for Huang-Fu has grown as a result of the happenings on the day of the infiltration test. Seeing him in action further confirmed her assumptions of him being a remarkably capable fighter with exemplary stealth and impressive battle skills as witnessed in the food and infiltration fights. Among the skills he performed that awed her are that he has made her realize potato slices can in fact be utilized as effective projectiles and his wielding of his weapon also reminded her of the fact of a vast array of astounding weapons in existence.

[Yue Lao]

(RR07) Kotone finds that this young lady (who she addresses as Miss Yue Lao) bears a charisma that puzzles. She also observes a bold presence about this fellow student that she finds admirable, and the same also goes for the nimbleness she observed of this individual during the food fight.
(MR01) Kotone was relieved to manage recalling her name when she had seen her after a long while. As per habit, Kotone added a prefix to the name she diffidently hoped that she remembered correctly, addressing her now even more grown-up looking acquaintance made quite some time ago as Lady Yue Lao. Kotone also learned at this time that she married Sir Jianyu.

[ZhongXian]

(RR07) Though his name she doesn't recall, she remembers that he seems to be a serious individual in character when he had entered and spoke to the group she was part of in cooking class the day of the infiltration test. She also remembers that he is strong as he had thrown a sack of rice into the air.

[Eiji]

(RR07) Having met Eiji the day of the academy infiltration test, Kotone respects and finds him to be emblematic of a good person and fighter with the necessary confidence, as well as certainly with the actions and skills that back such confidence. His roundhouse kick during the food fight and the high kick he used during the fight with masked Lunarians are among the fighting skills she witnessed from him that she has planted in her mind as part of the memories she learns from as an aspiring fighter.

[Ishtar]

(RR07) Though this young lady's name Kotone doesn't know, she recalls that this fellow student had requested to borrow makeup. Kotone finds this individual exceedingly pretty and equipped with a very good aim according to her observations of the food fight.

[Jianyu]

(RR07) Kotone's witnessing of this older Lunarian's (who she addresses as Sir Jianyu) battling confirmed her assumptions of his formidable archery and other fighting skills. Kotone has placed him in her mind as an individual she respects and role model of how a fighter is to carry one's self.
(MR01) Relieved in managing to recall his name after quite some time has passed since their first encounter, that she'd diffidently hoped she'd correctly done so, Kotone's prefix addition resulted again in her addressing him as Sir Jianyu. Also, Kotone learned at this time that he married Lady Yue Lao.

[Hua An - NPC]

(MR01) Kotone addresses her as Lady Hua An upon hearing her name and that she is part of the Legion and is the Western General. She looks like an elegant lady to Kotone. In their initial exchange of words, Boray (Shinta) spoke to her with just one word by saying 'You' so Kotone had at first felt unsure about presuming that that is her name after he turned and addressed her after yelling in front of the bridge leading to the Shrine in the Ancient North. She seems to know Sir Tenjou, Lady Mizuki, and Boray (Shinta) to some extent. Kotone recalls that her sight couldn't keep up with how fast Lady Hua An produced a sword from what seemed like out of no where.

[Sarangerel]

(MR01) Kotone doesn't know this individual's name. Kotone saw her next after seeing Kiran for the first time. This lady had her hands over her heart when Kotone first saw her.

[The Emperor - NPC]

(MR01) Kotone recalls that Lady Mizuki, who had emerged from the Shrine in the Ancient North after Boray's (Shinta) yells, had said that the emperor is dead and that his body which has disappeared might be found if searched for hard enough.

[Lestari]

(MR01) Kotone recalls that Sir Tenjou had taken hold of and directed his weapon at this pony-tailed lady whose name is unknown to her.

Noble.

[Cais]

(RR02) Kotone's mind recollects clearly how agitated he was in their encounter with one another in the apparel shop and feels sorry that she had caused so much trouble for him when she stole his hat there. She feels he had every right to have spoken to her as sternly and frustratedly as he had. She wishes she could compensate him somehow.
(BT02) As Kotone remembers he had said, trained he certainly is. Kotone wishes to fight this Noble whose name remains unknown to her again having improved herself more in competence. From their fight, it is evident to her that the distance between her now and the fighter she aspires to become is very huge.
(MR01) Kotone recognized him when he voiced his question regarding whether the Emperor was missing in the event that took place when she had followed Boray (Shinta) to the Shrine in the Ancient North, however she still doesn't know his name.

[CuiYan]

(RR03) Kotone wonders if this swordsman whose name she does not know fights with a graceful yet cold aura like the one she had last sensed from him. And if so, Kotone is of the mind that it would be worthwhile to spar with him and learn how to confront an opponent with such an air about them.
(BT01) Indeed she found out this still unnamed swordsman is certainly skilled with his sword, impressively so. His moves are characterized with an icy elegance in her memory. Kotone recalls their encounter with confusion at the recollection of him being both tolerant and forbidding, but she certainly also feels sorry that their match ended abruptly. She wants to have improved when she next battles with him.

[Bataar]

(RR04) Kotone recalls that when she and Sir Bataar met, he was spying on chickens skillfully. She also recalls that in meeting this formidable-looking man, she got to thinking that basics are important to keep honing through training and that she should always strive to improve at being able to subdue opponents without harming them drastically as a fighter.

[Shin-Mu]

(RR06) Kotone remembers Lady Shin-Mu to be a role model of how a lady is to carry herself. Kotone feels sorry for her rudeness during their meeting. Kotone recalls that she was absorbed in her thoughts and was late in noticing that Lady Shin-Mu had left the clearing. Their encounter reminded Kotone that she still lacks much as a fighter and lady.

[Kyung]

(MR01) Kotone addresses this individual as Sir Kyung. His greeting to Jianyu touched her as the simple deed lifted her spirit amid her dejection to remember not to loosen her grasp on her resolve to keep keen eyes for the good that shines in Lunaria and to help protect and add to that and restore more of that radiance.

[Shinta Ringo - NPC]

(MR01) Kotone addresses this individual by the name Boray that he provided he be addressed by upon meeting him in the Rice Paddies. After heading to the Shrine's location in the Ancient North in accordance with her reply to help him search for someone, Kotone heard Boray addressed as Shinta. Lady Hua An said he is part of the alliance of the Nobles. Kotone also recalls that he seemed to think Lady Mizuki lied about the emperor's death and a scent covered the area as he attacked the Shrine with what looked like a serpent of magical flames from the palms of his hands. Kotone wonders what he means by these words of his: "And who - exactly will Lunaria be ruled under now? We are already at war - it is clearly the job of the Noble Retainers to keep the memory of the emperor alive, if what you say is true - " He seems to know Sir Tenjou, Lady Hua An, and Lady Mizuki well.

[Xiu]

(MR01) Kotone and this individual (whose name she doesn't know) exchanged bows of their heads in the rice paddies upon first coming across one another and she remembers this along with his approaching Sir Kyung right after this.

[Sakngea]

(MR01) Kotone hasn't met him but heard the name Sakn said by Yue as she asked about him from the man who'd approached Sir Kyung after exchanging bows of their heads with her (Xiu).

[Kiran]

(MR01) Kotone doesn't know the name of this individual. She'd first seen him gripping the handles of his weapon at the Shrine's location in the Ancient North after Boray (Shinta) yelled out the name Mizuki. She also recalls that Lady Hua An took hold of him and directed her sword at his throat but fortunately had let go of him.

[Tenjou - NPC]

(MR01) Kotone addresses this individual, who inquired to Lady Mizuki about the whereabouts of the emperor -- seeming to have been searched for by multiple parties at the same time, as Sir Tenjou. She'd first seen him at the Shrine's location in the Ancient North after Boray (Shinta) yelled out the name Mizuki. To Kotone he appears to be a formidable-looking man. This was quickly confirmed to Kotone upon witnessing his momentary but vastly skilled display of battle capability. The weapon he used, though Kotone didn't clearly see, seemed to be easily concealed with his hand when he directed it at the pony-tailed lady's throat; Kotone is relieved that he had released her. She remembers hearing that Lady Hua An addressed him at some point as 'friend' and he seems to know Boray (Shinta), Lady Hua An, and Lady Mizuki. And with his matching stand against Lady Hua An, Kotone thinks he may be part of the alliance of the Nobles. Kotone also recalls that he had shouted for Boray (Shinta) not to attack the Shrine with the flames.
