It was not every day that one got tackled and pinned to the floor of a tent with a half ton naked man on top of them, with that naked man being your boyfriend.

That is, it wouldn't be if you were not Qian Jianyu. But if you were Jianyu, then this was quite a normal occurrence, and that half ton naked man was Bataar Jaoret.

Jianyu let out an indignant squawk as he was shoved backwards, trying in vain to raise his knee to thrust it into Bataar's stomach, but the Mongol was too fast and in less than three seconds he was completely paralyzed on the floor of Bataar's yurt with several hundred pounds of muscled man atop of him. He struggled to move his arms, but his wrists were held tightly in both of Bataar's hands, pinned to the floor. Jianyu scowled.

"What on earth are you trying to achieve?" he snapped, wriggling ferociously. "I was merely trying to state that perhaps you should consider that not all of you is as 'manly' as you think it is."

This, of course, was so far from the truth it was actually quite ridiculous, but Jianyu was just trying to goad Bataar as much as he could, though it might result in him getting pummeled. He managed to yank one wrist free, shoving his leg upwards simultaneously and rolling them both sideways so that he was now on top, pressing Bataar to the ground.

"Who has the upper hand now?" Jianyu jeered obnoxiously as he snagged one of Bataar's hands.

Bataar was pleased with his tackling abilities, and knew full well that he was currently in control of the battle at hand. Jianyu had pissed him off, though, and had directly insulted his manliness. The legionnaire was in deep trouble, and Bat was going to make sure that he knew it. After all, if there was one thing he really had to his name, it was downright manliness; his chiseled muscles, dark skin, and general actions could attest to that. The Mongol simply refused to tolerate any insults to that aspect of himself. He hardly cared whether or not someone commented on his thick-headedness, but calling him childish in any way shape or form? That was a crime.

What was he trying to achieve? ”Actually, I’m trying to kill you.” Bat replied, his eyes serious. This issue transcended the on-going battles between legionnaires and nobles—this was a personal war for Bataar to wage. ”Because you’re wrong and because you’re insulting me.” That reasoning was as good as it got. Jianyu had pushed a few too many of his buttons, and the maroon Lunarian was about to let him know it. That was just the way the world worked in Bat’s opinion, and he wasn’t about to stop and consider his actions.

He was more than just a little pissed off when Jianyu was quite suddenly above him.

Bataar glared, deciding very quickly that it might even be better if he had the lower hand. That was because it was a hell of a lot easier to do things like ramming his knee into Jianyu’s stomach, which he did with relish. He was furious enough not to care what damage he inflicted upon the other man, as was made clear by his expression.

”You just try and beat me.” he growled threateningly, not bothering to try and roll them over again. Logically, if he wanted to do something damaging, this was the best place to be.

"I am not insulting you." Jianyu returned peevishly. "Just stating a - ow!"

The knee to his stomach was not exactly pleasant. Jianyu let out a grunt of pain, letting go of Bataar's hand to press it to his abdomen. He glared down at the Mongol and reached out, threading his fingers through Bataar's hair.

"You irritate me." he said, before yanking hard, pulling Bataar's head up. Sitting on the Mongol's middle, his other hand gripped Bataar's wrist tightly, forcing it to the ground. "Why must you insist on always being the victor in these fights? Has it ever occurred to you that perhaps one day I will be the one to win? I did manage to dominate over you once, and I will do it again this time."

Although this time Jianyu was not quite certain that he would be able to win. Besides the very obvious fact that Bataar was both larger and stronger than he was, the man was still naked, which made things quite a bit more awkward then they should have been. Jianyu frowned unhappily, his gaze fierce as he looked down at the Mongol.

"Killing me would not be a good idea." he reprimanded before tugging harder on Bataar's hair.

As far as he was concerned, Jianyu had recently given him one of the biggest insults he’d ever endured in his life. That was something that simply wasn’t going to work out, and Bat would let his boyfriend know that in a few not-so-nice terms. He grinned without humor when he saw that his knee connecting with Jianyu’s stomach was effective, hoping that the pain was somewhere close to unbearable. Bat wasn’t sadistic or anything—he just refused to be referred to as anything less than manly! It was a normal concern, wasn’t it? In truth, he should have known that he was the epitome of manliness, but clearly he must have been having some sort of identity crisis. The legionnaire’s comment had thrown him into a whirl.

He was not the irritating one! Bataar’s glare probably conveyed that idea perfectly as he gazed up at Jianyu. ”I always have to win because I am better than you.” he replied softly, the anger still a terrible undertone in his voice. If he wanted to be truthful, his ability to win might have stemmed from the fact that he was mainly a melee type of fighter—although he had a bow, it was of hardly any use to him, and he didn’t use the weapon in fighting. Jianyu would have won from a distance, but Bataar could almost always dominate when they ended up rolling around on the ground throwing punches.

That was just the way things were. That was how their relationship was driven, and it was very unlikely that things were about to change at all. It was the reality for he and Jianyu, embodied in the very essence of each and every one of their battles. There was no way around it.

And he wasn’t about to let his hair get pulled by the angry legionnaire above him. In a calculated move, Bat aimed to slam his fist into the other man’s wrist, aiming to force him to let go of his hair. ”I’m not so sure about that.”

Somewhere, in the back of his mind, Jianyu supposed he should have been more concerned about the fact that he had developed such a violent relationship with his romantic partner. Despite his less than vast knowledge about most relationships, the thing he did know was that fighting one another was not a typical thing for couples to do. However, it was the way they communicated; the way they somehow, strangely, worked together. And despite all of his misgivings, despite his constant irritation and anger at the Mongol, Jianyu had always felt a sort of romantic attachment during these fights. It was then that he felt the most attracted to him.

Though that was quite a disturbing fact in of itself, and he blatantly refused to admit anything of the sort.

Jianyu let out a screech of pain as Bataar's fist connected with his wrist, and he let go of his hair immediately, raising his hand to touch the tender skin. It was the same wrist Bataar had almost broken a few weeks past, and it had only just stopped aching on a daily basis. He glared down at the Mongol, his face a mask of anger.

"If you wanted to kill me, you would have done so already." Jianyu hissed, a large purpleish bruise already starting to form on his skin. His hands found Bataar's again, and with a ferocious jerk, he rolled the both of them sideways again, ramming his knee up into Bataar's stomach as he landed on his back beneath him. "You piss me off!"

Their compatibility like this worked for now, and that was all that mattered. Bataar’s mood was actually improving as they both attempted to kill each other, and he made no secret of it. This, in his opinion, was the best way to resolve issues, and he’d continue to hold that idea in his head for as long as it worked. He enjoyed fighting, after all, and had assured himself that there was quite a lot of merit in the action. His own ferocity didn’t seem to allow any other sort of relationship at the moment, and he recognized that, no matter how unconsciously.

All he could do was offer up a cool smirk as Jianyu let go of his hair, knowing full well that he’d smashed into the wrist that had been hurting for quite some time. He liked to think of it as leaving a reminder that yes, he did win all the time when they got into squabbles. It seemed like a good thing to keep on doing in his head, although it didn’t make himself look terribly nice.

Would he really have killed Jianyu already? He wasn’t so sure. ”Maybe I like to draw out your pain more.” Bat commented, his smirk still contorting his facial expression. Until now, Jianyu had not deigned to make such a terrible comment about his manliness, too, and the Mongol was still aching from that. He wanted to do his best to discourage such words, but it wasn’t the easiest thing to do when Jianyu started getting snarky. ”Or maybe you just really made me angry.” Grudge much?

He looked displeased when they rolled again, mainly because he didn’t have much control over the movement. The knee in his stomach didn’t help, either, and it left him in pain and gasping for air as he grappled with the legionnaire, finally just giving his ponytail a nice, painful tug. ”You deserve it!”

"I do not deserve it!" Jianyu retorted hotly, shoving upwards at Bataar's broad chest. Perhaps letting the Mongol be on top was not the best situation he could have been in, although it had seemed like a good idea at the time. But now Jianyu was pinned, and he kept his knee where it was, pressed against Bataar's abdomen. "And drawing out pain is sadistic, and you are by no means sadistic, no matter how angry you might get. What you are is just irritating as hell!"

Bataar's fingers had found his ponytail, yanking it hard, and Jianyu let out a grunt of pain, wincing involuntarily. It hurt, and the movement caused the ribbons in his hair to rip, falling loose and letting his hair cascade over his shoulders and floor. He did not like having his hair down; it got in the way of his vision, so that, combined with the smirk still on Bataar's face was driving his anger past peaking.

"b*****d!" he snarled, digging his fingers into the Mongol's upper arms in an attempt to shove him away. But now he was trapped, and his face flushed with the effort to move. "You are completely infuriating! Why do you have to irritate me so much?!"

In Bataar’s mind, Jianyu definitely deserved whatever punishment this battle was doling out. You weren’t supposed to insult a man as manly as Bataar and then get away with it! That was his philosophy, anyway. He was faintly aware that astronomical mass was now back upon Jianyu, but he didn’t mind. He still had control of the situation, as far as he was concerned, if he could just remain in the most damaging position possible. As much as Bat could get at the legionnaire from below, he was still at a great advantage when rolled to the top, despite Jianyu’s knee digging into his abdomen. It helped to have muscles to lessen the other man’s ability to hurt him too terribly.

He had to object to his being irritating. I am irritating? I think it’s the other way around!” Bat pursed his lips, glaring down at the other man. It was Jianyu who always insulted his manliness! That was the most irritating thing of all, the Mongol was convinced. He knew of no greater slight than that, at the very least. What he wanted to do here the most was to convey to Jianyu just how much he didn’t like those sorts of insults, and he had a feeling he might soon be successful.

He knew he’d gotten at a weakness when he’d pulled the legionnaire’s ponytail loose, and he was pleased with himself for it. The other man’s anger was also rather exhilarating for the Mongolian, as his grin probably hinted rather well. ”I still think this is all your fault.” he objected, not looking terribly vexed at being called irritating. In fact, he rather liked the label at times. Jianyu ought to have someone around to irritate him, just because it was amazingly amusing.

Bataar also knew something else that might irritate the legionnaire, and he was ready to try it. At the very least, he wanted him to pass out again as he leaned in to kiss his boyfriend. A little peace and quiet would be nice, wouldn’t it?

Jianyu scowled, his face a mixture of irritation and anger. Nothing seemed to be getting through to that thick skull of Bataar's, no matter how hard he tried. Although he had not been serious when he had insulted him - he had merely just been trying to be insulting - it seemed as if that was the only thing that Bataar was thinking about at the moment. That, and crushing his boyfriend beneath his massive weight. But Jianyu's remarks had hit home, despite them being somewhat flippant at the time.

"It is not my fault!" Jianyu snapped, shifting his knee in an attempt to push Bataar off. The movement, however, only made Bataar's weight drop more heavily on top of him, and now the Mongol was lying fully against him. Jianyu glared at him, his eyebrows drawing together.

"How can I be the one irritating when you're - " he started to say, but his words were interrupted abruptly by Bataar kissing him. Jianyu felt a hot flush rise in his cheeks. The second time in as many hours that Bataar had made the first move, only this time it seemed he wanted to reach the same outcome as before. Jianyu pulled away, gasping for air.

"Oh, no you don't!" he hissed, and tangled his fingers in the Mongol's hair, dragging his face down to his as he kissed him passionately, crushing his mouth to Bataar's. If anyone was going to be the victor in this, it was him, and he was going to do what it took to win.

He would blame Jianyu for as long as he had to, and he’d remain comfortable with it. That was just the way Bataar was; beyond the first five minutes of dealing with his own temper tantrum, he tended to recover and become a lot more calm and subjective in general. This battle was now more for fun as opposed to anything else, and he was fine with letting Jianyu know it. The fury that had permeated the air just moments before had dissipated in order to be replaced by something closer to an awkward compatibility between the two of them.

He was also just fine with using Jianyu as his human pillow. ”It’s definitely your fault.” he responded, knowing full well that he had won, and that he probably didn’t need to do much more to feel triumphant. That was because the kiss they had shared had clearly left the legionnaire speechless—Bataar had actually been hoping to make him pass out again, but that idea didn’t go terribly well. Still, the Mongol had some idea that he was the cause of the other man’s black-out less than an hour earlier in the fountain, and he thought that it was nice to know.

For a moment after Jianyu had pulled away, Bataar was concerned that he might have to defend himself yet again, but the kiss that came next was a welcome surprise. He went along with it for a moment or two before disengaging, frowning down at the other man with distaste. ”You won’t win, no matter what you do.” he commented, grinning and resting on his elbows. He didn’t want to let Jianyu have his much-coveted control, no matter how peaceful it might have been.

After all, how could he let his very own property take such advantage of him? He leaned down to initiate another kiss and made sure that this one was slower, more sensual. He had a feeling that this was the best way of all to emerge victor from one of their many battles, and he wasn’t about to give Jianyu much control.

"I...will win the next time." Jianyu murmured, but his words were lost in his throat. He was rapidly losing control of what he'd thought were his senses, and his fingers slid through Bataar's hair as the Mongol kissed him the second time. But this time it was different. This time it was slower, softer, and passionate in a way that was making his head spin. After a few moments he pulled away, his face flushed and his breathing heavy. He looked up at Bataar, slowly running his fingers down the side of his face.

"You're a brat." he mumbled, just before Bataar kissed him again. He knew he'd lost, knew he hadn't won. Again. It irritated him slightly, but that irritation disappeared rapidly as the night progressed. Jianyu had lost much more than just the fight, but for the first time he didn't regret it. His thoughts were much too preoccupied to focus on anything else but Bataar.

Though he would be in quite a bit of pain for a long while to come.
