✿ Compassionate:
Since being taken into the priesthood at a very early age, Xiu has developed a very compassionate and generous nature. He does his utmost best to help others in need, despite inconvenience or hardship to himself. He feels connected to others, or at least tries to feel connected to them. Ever since the loss of his family, Xiu aches for human relationships. By helping others, he feels that he’s actually doing something with his life. He likes being able to do something worthwhile for others and himself. This is the very reason Xiu is so impassioned by Daoism. It is a philosophy that extols the trait of compassion. By showing kindness to others, Xiu is able to better himself. While he does enjoy helping people, too much of their gratitude embarrasses him. Xiu feels like he gets put on the spot and gets rather flustered, especially when the thank yous turn into hugging. He isn't very comfortable with touching.
✿ Naive:
This personality trait is something that Xiu is continually fighting against. Because he is inclined to be so responsive to what’s happening around him, this leads him to be emotional and cause him misunderstand a situation, thus creating problems with others. He holds a lot of innocence in some things and leans on the side of overly trusting and it has taken him years to convince himself that people can’t always be trusted or relied on. Even though he knows this internally, he sometimes gets lost and will believe someone if they say something a certain way.
✿ Introverted:
While Xiu isn’t overly shy, he can be rather awkward in situations. He tends to internalize his own feelings and the words of others, often times picking out every hidden little meaning either real or otherwise. Xiu can get easily depressed over things because he will not try and talk it out with anyone. He keeps his feelings all bottled up inside and only feels better if someone manages to get him to tell them what’s wrong or if they somehow randomly hit on his problem in a conversation. All of this leads to big misunderstandings on Xiu’s part and he can be down in the dumps for days. Thankfully, Haung Ziya and Zui Jian are able to help Xiu whenever they can so he’s not continually upset over things.
✿ Chatterbox:
Xiu is well learned and likes to talk about the knowledge he has gained. He's always getting into debates with people, trying to educate them to see things as he does. Most of the time, he knows what he's talking about...but sometimes he doesn't know what he's talking about. Either way, he sticks to his convictions. In this sense Xiu can be rather stubborn and will sometimes just continue to talk and talk and talk.
✿ Dramatic Control Freak:
Xiu likes to have everything in his life in perfect order. He’s a neat freak and believes everything in the universe has its place. He wants everything his way when he wants it. It’s nearly the end of the world for him if things don’t go smoothly. More often than not he goes into panic mode, getting overly emotional about things. This trait causes him to be rather volatile in a sense.

This is just the name of the people in Xiu's past family. He doesn't interact with them at all...save for in his own mind. He knows very little about them and hasn't been able to get up enough courage to seek them out.
Father : Shi Yi
Mother: Shi Jing
Brother (oldest): Shi Hui

Priest Ziye Syaoran:
Ziye played the role of Xiu's father since the boy first came into his keeping. He took Xiu under his wing, teaching him the ways of the priesthood and how to deal with his new status of being a dead soul conduit. While Ziye is old and rather gruff, he loves Xiu like his own son. Xiu is the only person the priest doesn't ever bark at, much to the chagrin of the monks residing in the temple.
Zui Jian:
Zui Jian is a tactics general from ancient times. He was known for his prowess on the battlefield and in court. Before he died, a wicked and powerful dead soul priest sealed Zui Jian's soul away in a box. Jian had been waiting around for centuries for someone to finally release him so that he may travel to the land of the dead. However, now that he's free, he find himself glued to the side of some clumsy kid. He doesn't know why, but he couldn't bear to leave Xiu. That's not to say he isn't miffed about this and Jian makes sure to let his charge know this every step of he way.
Zui Jian is the closest thing to a spirit follower that Xiu has, since he is unable to obtain any others through normal means. He still has no clue why he and Zui Jian were bonded together.
Bái Hǔ:
Bái Hǔ is Xiu's channel object or animal in this case. The little tiger is mischeveous and is getting into trouble all the time. He leaves presents in shoes and likes to play with anything smaller than him. And by play I mean devour like a little rat sandwich.
✿ Lotus Temple:
This is Xiu's home. He lives on the second floor with the other monks and priests.
