Jianyu ducked the fist that Bataar swung towards him, letting out a sharp gasp of anger at the other man's indignation. How was it that Bataar was allowed to kiss him, to fluster him and confuse him, yet when Jianyu kissed him back, the other Lunarian threw a temper tantrum about it?
The whole situation was ridiculous. Jianyu scowled.
"You're a moron, Bataar." he said angrily, stalking back towards where he'd left his supplies. Grabbing his sheath of arrows, Jianyu's fingers found the smooth wood of his bow and he pulled it up into his hands, the weight familiar and reassuring. Within seconds he had an arrow strung and pointed at the Mongol, the string pulled back, his hand touching his cheek. There was no way that Jianyu could beat Jianyu physically, so his bow and arrows were all that he could rely on.
"Duck fast." Jianyu snarled, and let the arrow fly.

It wasn't that Jianyu wasn't allowed to kiss him at all; in fact, that had almost nothing to do with the situation at hand. Bataar was merely frustrated with the fact that the other man had been teasing him; he refused to tolerate such a thing. After all, a manly man such as himself hardly deserved to get poked fun at by someone like Jianyu! Had the legionnaire ever been any sort of decent?
"I am not a moron." he assured Jianyu defensely, gaping as he watched the other man head for his arrows. That was not good. He stumbled around, spotting his bow on the ground where he'd thrown it, a few feet away. That was simply not a good place for his weapon to be at the moment, especially seeing as he was in the thick of a fight. The whole thing seemed to be wildly unfair all of a sudden, and the turn of events was beginning to cause the Mongol to panic. He didn't want to get shot again, as great as the scars were once they'd healed!
He ducked. In fact, he dived, wincing at the sound of the arrow slicing through the air right where he'd been standing just instants before. He reached for his weapon, and got it, looking rather proud of himself although his sheaf of arrows happened to be tied to his pathetic pony. None of that mattered anymore; a weapon was a weapon, no matter how you used it.
"Prepare to die!" he cackled, bringing himself to his feet and whacking Jianyu in the chest with his longbow.

"What the hell - ?!"
The bow caught Jianyu square in the center of his chest, and hes staggered backwards unexpectedly, his foot catching the edge of a tree root. He landed most ungracefully on his backside on the ground, an irritated grunt escaping his throat. Bataar, the moronic idiot, had just hit him with a bow! A bow! Something that should most definitely not have been used for something as menial as hitting someone with.
"You die first!" Jianyu snarled. He'd dropped his own bow when he'd stumbled, but that didn't matter. He threw himself at Bataar, his arms wrapping around the other Lunarian's legs as he tackled him to the ground. The grass underneath him was getting flattened by their rolling around it, but that was the last thing Jianyu cared about at moment. He was more concerned about killing the man who had been taunting him moments before.
Once he had Bataar on the ground, Jianyu straddled his legs, raising his hand to slam his fist into that great mocking face of his.

Bataar's pleasure as he watched Jianyu topple over was indescribable; just the nature of the other man's fall solicited giggles from the brawny Mongol. It might not have been the smartest idea to use his bow as a blunt object, but it had certainly worked out! After all, Jianyu had conveniently fallen on his a** after not just getting hit by the bow, but tripping over a root! It was almost too much for the Mongol to handle, and before he knew it peals of laughter were escaping his lips.
Clearly, he hadn't expected to fall over himself. He falled to check his fall and winced in pain as he fell on top of his arm, most certainly spraining his wrist. Luckily, there had been no gruesome cracks; sprains could be annoying, but he could still fight with one. "You b*****d!" he snarled, struggling as the legionnaire straddled his legs. This was not how the battle was supposed to go! He found himself especially unhappy as Jianyu's fist connected with his face, causing a bit of a nosebleed.
The Mongol felt the warm liquid trickling down his face before the pain hit, and was instantly enraged by it. He'd had enough of Jianyu giving him hell! "Take this!" he declared, spluttering because of the blood as he worked to roll over in order to get on top of the other man.
It was time to wrestle.

"Like hell I'll let you beat me!" Jianyu snarled. He'd felt a malicious sort of satisfaction at seeing the Mongol clutch at his nose, blood streaming down his face, but the satisfaction was short-lived as the other man rolled them sideways. Jianyu let out an indignant squawk as he was suddenly stuck underneath about two hundred pounds of Mongol.
"Get off of me, you giant landmass!" Jianyu screeched, feeling the back of his head crack against the grassy hillside. His hands connected with Bataar's as he tried to force the other Lunarian off of him. But Bataar far outweighed him - one of the few aspects of him that Jianyu was somewhat envious of - and no amount of pushing nor shoving could budge the Mongol. Gritting his teeth, Jianyu was forced to resort to other methods of getting free. The Mongol was crouching above him on his knees, and Jianyu glared up at him.
Then rammed his knee between Bataar's legs.

He was certainly more than capable of beating the other man, in his opinion, and he let it be known as he sat atop Jianyu, grinning maliciously before slamming his fist into the other Lunarian’s face. ”Like hell I’m gonna get off, dumbass.” That was right, he totally had the advantage here! He was proud of himself for managing it without his weapon, too. He fully believed in his wrestling skill, and he was about to let Jianyu know it! At least, that was the plan before the other mans knee connected with his crotch.
The family jewels were damaged.
All he was able to comprehend were sparked and fireworks as he rolled away from Jianyu, curling up and moaning in a high-pitched voice, the epitome of pain. His ears were filled with a dull roaring as he tried to deal with the immense pain that Jianyu had caused him. That was not fair! That was exactly why he’d disputed the other Lunarian’s gender before; what man could knowingly kick him in the balls and live with the guilt? No one, in Bat’s opinion.
”You ******** b*****d!” he declared when he was recovered enough to actually speak. His anger at Jianyu was inappropriately pronounced as he lunged for the other man, tangling his fingers in his hair after having decided that if they were going to fight inappropriately, he no longer cared. He fully intended to claw the legionnaire down bit by bit, reducing him to absolutely nothing. If he needed to, he was also more than willing to kick Jianyu where it hurt—perhaps he’d return the favor at some point. In any case, he fully intended to kill Jianyu now. He didn’t care if it took hair-pulling and smacking to do it; the other man had proven himself to be so low as to kill Bataar in the balls, so little concern prevailed for the Mongol’s fighting style by now.

Vindicated by his successful attack to a certain area of Bataar's anatomy, Jianyu scrambled away as the Mongol let out a most undignified screech of pain. He could feel a bruise forming around his left eye from where Bataar had managed to land a fist in his face, and the skin was tender when he touched it.
That damn idiot..! Jianyu thought inwardly, but his thoughts were momentarily distracted by the fact the man in question had just, in fact, flung himself fully on top of Jianyu from behind, his large hands gripping Jianyu's hair. Jianyu let out a yell of pain as his head was jerked backwards, his eyes watering.
"F***ING B****ARD YOU DESERVED IT!" Jianyu roared, twisting himself around in an effort to free his head from Bataar's grasp. He most likely lost a few strands of hair in the process, and it hurt like all hell, but he managed to get away. Then, with an angry snarl, Jianyu tackled Bataar again, rolling the two of them around on the flattened grass as he yanked at Bataar's long dark tresses.
"DIE, MORON!"

Bataar was convinced that Jianyu had done everything to deserve this wretched hair-pulling and clawing. After all, he was no fool when it came to fighting. He knew what really hurt. Tugging at one’s hair was agonizing, and nails could practically be used as lethal weapons(as Bat had learned from his mother). Simply put, he knew he was doing some damage, if not as much physically, then certainly mentally. Such an attack was sure to piss his opponent off, and that was all he really cared about. So long as Jianyu was angry, his thoughts might grow incoherent so that he’d be unable to deal any major damage to the Mongol. The idea seemed to make quite a lot of sense.
He allowed himself a grim smile as the other man cursed and shouted, giving his hair another painful yank. ”And you deserve this!” he replied, his lip curling as the legionnaire escaped. However, he did believe that Jianyu made one key mistake in the next few moments; he tackled Bataar. It probably wasn’t the most prudent of decisions, especially due to the fact that the Mongol was excellent at the kind of wrestling that could throw any other man into a flurry of confusion. He could surely make quick work of the legionnaire now!
Ignoring the fact that his own hair was being tugged at, he rolled Jianyu over so that he was once again on top of him. This time, however, he went a step further before the other Lunarian could choose to make a move. He pushed his fist into Jianyu’s stomach, grimacing a little as he imagined what his opponent must have felt like dealing with the blow. Then, for good measure, he returned the favor of the kick to his balls, grinning sadistically as he did so.
”Wasn’t there some golden rule they taught in school? Oh, yeah. Don’t do something to me that you’d prefer not to be done to you.” He was smug, indeed.

If there was one thing Jianyu was now determined never to experience again, it would be that last kick from Bataar. Because dear goddess Lunaria, it hurt like hell. Jianyu let out a screech of pain, his head falling back against the grass as he was simultaneously winded by both that blow, and the hit to his stomach. Curling up on his side beneath Bataar, Jianyu clutched his torso, his face twisted in unbelievable pain.
"F***ing...b****ard..!" Jianyu gasped out, and closed his eyes briefly, gritting his teeth. He did not appreciate being shown just how painful his little maneuver to Bataar was. Being less physically adept than the Mongol was something Jianyu had always despised vehemently, and he knew from experience that it was never a good thing. His bow and arrows were too far away to reach, and there was no possible way that he could beat the Mongol based on hand-to-hand combat by itself. So there was only one logical conclusion to this fight of theirs. One that Jianyu did not want to admit, nor acknowledge within himself, though there seemed to be no choice. Jianyu's chest ached.
"...I'm done." he finally mumbled after a moment. "Now get off of me."

He’d never considered himself to be much of a sadist, but he was rather pleased at Jianyu’s evident display of pain. Bat grinned, rolling over himself to sit up in the grass, deciding to give the other man a break. If he wanted to continue to fight, the Mongol would readily consent, but for now it was simply rather degrading for them to continue as they were. He figured the legionnaire was down for the count for at least a few minutes, if not for the entire day. They were both sure to have nasty bruises by the next day.
”Oh, Jianyu, you know how much it hurts my feelings when you yell like that.” the Mongol huffed sarcastically, looking reasonably unaffected. It had been the other man’s fault that their fight had started in the first place! There was no way he was going to willingly and knowingly endure the teasing that Jianyu had subjected him to just minutes before. He simply had to place the blame entirely on the archer who was currently half-way knocked out on the grass. It seemed only proper! The Mongol glanced over to his opponent, feeling a momentary pang of pity as he saw that he had indeed caused a good deal of damage; their fight had been a vicious one.
Jianyu’s words forced him to grin like an idiot. ”Did you just admit defeat?” he taunted, standing up and stretching in order to figure out where the other Lunarian had inflicted the most damage. He was pleased at his victory, but his scalp ached and he was sore in quite a few places. He figured the wounds had been worth it, however, now that he’d actually managed to triumph over the other fighter.
He trotted over to his pony, picking up his bow on the way. ”Just remember this next time you think you can beat me!” Bat called over his shoulder, the grin still plastered lamely on his face.
Take that, Jianyu!
