This is a private roleplay between Jianyu [Kuro-Mizuki] and Sakngea [lungrot].
Setting: The top of Cherry Tree Hill.
Jianyu attempts to meditate. Sakngea attempts to bother him. Or at least, take his spot.

Jianyu was back. Again.
The top of Cherry Tree Hill was quiet this time, however. No children teasing one another, no unusual young man attempting to speak with him, and no gentle breeze. Right now it was somewhat overcast and slightly chilly, the clouds overhead a dark, curling grey smeared across the sky.
Jianyu hated thunderstorms almost more than anything. He hated the way the sky darkened, the way the air tasted of rain and salt, the way the cold chilled one down to their very soul. But he had needed to spend some time by himself, away from the tattoo parlor and away from his training. Cherry Tree Hill was his sanctuary, where he went to feel at peace with himself and attempt to keep his thoughts untangled and careful.
It smelled of flower petals and moisture. Jianyu sat down in his usual spot, at the base of the gnarled cherry tree and leaned his head back against the familiar wood, closing his eyes and breathing deeply. He couldn't stay long; the storm would very quickly drive him back home to safety, but for at least right now he was calm and collected, his thoughts quiet and slowly righting themselves.

It was cold now.
Of course, when the day had started, there had been sun and warmth abound. Sakn hadn't worried about what he was wearing, and tossed on his usual sleeveless shirt before heading to the city. He had spent most of his time with his friend Xiu in the temple, helping the small boy with his chores and harassing(playing!) with Bao Fu. But when he had asked the boy to come back to his village with him, Xiu had informed him that he had to stay with the monks today, but Sakn was free to go if he wanted.
So he headed out, hoping to see someone in the city that he would know, and while he walk did not find him any company, it did bring him to a rather large hill with a cherry tree at the crest. Eager to beat the rain and get some where dry before it fell, Sakn quickly jogged up the hill.
Of course, he hadn't expected someone else to be sitting beneath the tree already. And he most definitely hadn't expected that someone to be Jianyu. The redhead scowled as he reached the top. He looked ridiculously happy sitting there, and while Sakn truly had no reason to bother the man, he did so any ways.
"Y'ur in mah spot," he groused, even though he had never been to this specific hill before, and thus couldn't have a 'spot' here. And there were obviously many other perfectly fine spots to sit under the large tree. Not that Sakngea cared, because he had already chosen his spot, and Jianyu was sitting in it.
There was a moment of silence then, in which Sakn wrapped his arms tightly against his chest, attempting to fend of the cold air as the clouds above continued to darken, fat and heavy with rain. He waited and waited and sure it was only a few seconds of waiting but that was way more waiting then necessary! His already irritated face dropped into a down-right angry scowl.
"Hey! Y'listenin' t'me, pretty boy?" Sakn snapped, continuing to harass Jianyu when the captain didn't respond to his first remark. If there was anything he hated more then someone stealing his spot(it was his spot, damn it! It was probably the driest spot and Jianyu probably took it because he knew that Sakn would want it!), it was people ignoring him.
And since Jianyu was ignoring him, it doubly pissed the redhead off.

"Oh, for Lunaria's sake. What the hell are you doing here?"
Out of all the people Jianyu had expected to see at the top of Cherry Tree Hill - at the top of his precious and special hill - Sakngea was not one of them. Jianyu's expression quickly morphed into a scowl, his eyebrows drawing together and his lips turning downwards in a heavy frown.
"I am not in your spot." he replied loftily, tossing his head with a snort. Overhead the clouds were rapidly thickening, the sky beginning to turn a muddled, smokey black that was making Jianyu slightly nervous, but he quickly shoved his insecurities aside. "There is no spot for you on this hill."
He bristled visibly at the "pretty boy" comment, his scowl deepening. Jianyu had received enough opinion on that aspect of his looks to last a lifetime, most of it from his former lover, but hearing it from Sakngea's lips left a sour taste in Jianyu's mind. He resisted the urge to raise his crossbow and shoot the boy straight through right at the moment, but only just barely.
"Get lost, pigtails," Jianyu snapped, frustration and irritation coursing through his veins. A crack of thunder overhead almost made him jump, but he reigned in the urge just in time. "I am not in the mood to deal with the likes of you today."

Sure, he was pissed at Jianyu, but that was usually how he was around the captain. Sure, he wanted nothing more then to start a fight, but in the end Sakn couldn't keep the smile off his face, even when Jianyu spoke so rudely to him in turn. Today had been too good a day, and finding Jianyu in such a sensitive mood only helped to make it better. Sakngea had never seen the man so frustrated before, and enjoyed knowing that he was the one pushing Jianyu's buttons(that's what rivals did, after all!).
Of course, he did bristle slightly at the pigtail comment, and his smile was less then friendly, more predatory; sharp and hard. "Pigtails?" he asked, scoffing, as if he was amazed that that was the best Jianyu could come up with. He then raised a brow, because there was a tenseness in Jianyu he hadn't seen before. A kind of nervousness, like a dog around fireworks. Edgy and jumpy. The crack of thunder sent ripples of goosebumps down Sakn's arms, and his eyes lit up. Thunderstorms, while not something Sakn enjoyed, were something he relished. Pure adrenalin rushed through his veins as the air buzzed with static.
"See'ere, Beads," he stated then, not liking the way Jianyu spoke down to him. His smile was definitely not friendly now, and he jabbed a finger in the air at the captain. "Y'is in mah spot, cuz I said so. I's d'driest spot under the tree," which was total bull, but Sakn was sticking with his story, "so mov'it. Or y'afraid of a lil' rain?"
He spoke with his fists on his hips at the end, cruel smile curled on his lips as he poked fun at the edgy captain. To be truthful, though, he had no clue how correct his was. And as he stood there, grinning like a proud, mad fool, another crack of thunder broke through the silence, and lightening arched across the sky, burning and violent as it raced towards the ground before fading out.

"Stupid brat," Jianyu snapped. "Go away. I am in no mood for your ridiculous antics. You're exhausting simply looking at, and your outrageous personality leaves quite a bit to be desired."
Another crack of thunder split the sky in half, white and gold streaking the dark and crackling with a frisson that made Jianyu's nerves stand on end. The oncoming storm was growing larger, more intimidating, and Jianyu closed his eyes briefly, massaging his temple with one hand. He felt like an animal on the edge of a cliff; anxious, jumpy, and easily annoyed. Which wasn't all that unusual, especially with the redhead standing before him, taunting and mocking him. Jianyu felt his nerves fraying more.
"I am not afraid of the rain!" he snarled, getting to his feet and clenching his fists at his sides. Something cold and wet hit his cheek, making him flinch slightly, and the raindrop slid down his face and down his neck, pooling in his collarbone. Another one caught in his eyelashes, making him blink rapidly, and Jianyu swiped at his eye angrily. "Get lost, you little brat."
There was more lightning now, cutting jagged lines across the black clouds, and it was rapidly growing darker - too dark. Jianyu stepped forward, his fist clenching in the front of Sakngea's shirt.
"Get...lost."

Sakn couldn't help the s**t-eating grin that covered his face as Jianyu snapped to his feet. It sent all the hairs on the nap of Sakngea's neck to rise, like the hackles of a eager, frightened, elated dog. He felt the tension between them, could almost taste the irritation and frustration that seemed to radiate from the brunette. The fisherboy's body tensed in return, eager and ready.
He had not meant to hit a nerve with that comment, but found that pressing Jianyu's buttons was quiet entertaining when he was in an off mood. The mixture of adrenaline-happiness and irritation with the Captain's rude way of speaking(no one speaks to Sakn like that!) caused him to act rather unexpectedly, and when the single rain drop caused the older man to flinch, Sakn couldn't help but laugh. It was true then! The great Legion Captain Jianyu was afraid of a little stormy weather! It was so funny, so insanely hilarious and Sakn was laughing like he was drunk; perhaps he was, what with the storm brewing above and the energy running rampant through his veins.
"Oh? Really, Maybe y'sh'uld be the one lea--hrrk!" his words were torn from him not only by thunder that roared through the air like a great war drum, but also because Jianyu had all but nearly grabbed the younger boys throat when he clutched his shirt.
Suddenly things were serious, and a fire was lit in the redheads eyes. This was what he wanted, and the idiotic smile on his face spread until his teeth shown like some predatory creature. It was on now.
He gripped Jianyu's wrist and squeezed down with strength from hard, honest work, hands that weren't afraid, even though it was obvious that Sakn's whole body was vibrating with pure frightened excitement(like a mad dog). He would go no where, and he was never going to back down. Jianyu was the one person who could cause the boy to forget thinking things through. The one-eyed Captain was like one giant pet peeve, a great annoying thing that Sakn needed to overcome.
His grip tightened a bit more as he spoke, though he made no move to attempt to remove the other man's hand. "Y'best let me go right now, Captain," Sakngea growled, though his voice dared Jianyu to do the exact opposite.
"Y'best run home'n'hide under y'ur blankets befur the real storm starts."

Jianyu was feeling much more edgy than usual, almost nervewrackingly anxious of the oncoming storm. He didn't tend to be this nervous normally, but the last few times he had been outside in the rain he had been ambushed by Nobles. Not to mention that Sakngea was taunting him in a way that grated on his nerves. Of all the people to have run into, on this hill, on his own special Cherry Tree Hill where Jianyu had spent many hours simply spent in peace, it had to be one of the most obnoxious people to have ruined it for him.
The redhead's hand was clenched around Jianyu's wrist now, irritation sparking in his bright green eyes. It almost hurt, but Jianyu was too filled with anger to even care. He stepped closer to Sakngea, fingers gripping the redhead's shirt even tighter, their faces mere inches apart.
"Don't you dare," Jianyu hissed as the rain began falling down with more vigor now. "Presume to tell me what exactly is best for me. Because what's best for me is to drag you over to the nearest cliff and throw you over it."
The sky was a churning grey black, twisting and undulating like smoke, and most of Lunaria had gone indoors now. Cherry Tree Hill was completely deserted, and the faint flickering of candles could be seen in the windows of the houses down below, smeared and blurred by the rain. A crack of lightning illuminated the grass around them, the redhead's face half shadowed, half bright.
"Your pathetic a** isn't even worth my time." Jianyu sneered, letting go of Sakngea. He threw him sideways and turned to leave, intent on walking away.

They were so close that Sakngea could feel Jianyu's hot, angry breath on his face, and goosebumps rose all over his body, because he had a feeling Jianyu was really mad now. Like really mad. He was just about to twist the bitter man's wrist when the brunette spoke. His words dripped with venom, and Sakn's eyes dilated as a whole new surge of energy rushed through his system. His face was a mask of rage and cruelty now, and the redhard laughed again as Jianyu finished.
"I'd like t'see ya try!" he barked, ignoring how tightly his shirt was wrapped around his neck. Ignoring how much bigger Jianyu was, how very unlikely it was that Sakn would come out the winner of anything between them. He ignored the fact that maybe pushing the Captain over the edge wasn't the smartest idea. All Sakngea wanted to do was make the one-eyed lunarian show some emotion, to break down to his most primal state.
Sakn wanted to fight.
And the rain was now pouring down, slapping at the leaves of the cherry tree, turning the soft dirt paths into mud and making the grass slick and horrible to stand on. And so it was that Jianyu shoved Sakngea away and the redhead stumbled to the side, barely catching himself on the slippery green grass before regaining his composure.
There was evident annoyance in his eyes now. Jianyu was already trying to push him away, instead of fighting like a man. Jianyu seemed to walk away every time they conflicted; always dodging the fight. But not today, Sakn wasn't going to let him get away with his insults and his haughty attitude!
"See now, tha's where y'u're wrong!" the angry fisher boy roared as he charged back at Jianyu, shoving him hard in the back as the man tried to walk away. It was childish and immature, a babyish move, but hopefully it would anger Jianyu enough. "I ain't not worth y'ur time, y'ur jus'afraid t'fight me! Scared that Imma hurt you, Jianyu? Or are you really jussa girl?"
It was probably the most idiotic thing to say, but Sakn didn't care, and he was wet now, hair sticking to his face after having tumbled in the rain, and he grinned. "Com'on girly, show me what y'got! If y'got anythin' at all!"

Well, his attempt at walking away had almost worked.
Almost. That was, at least, until Sakngea had screamed after him and then pushed him hard, causing Jianyu to stumble on the slick, wet grass and nearly fall, managing to catch himself at the last second. Spinning around, his eyes flashing dangerously, Jianyu stalked back up the hill towards Sakngea, feeling a hot anger coursing through his veins.
That's it. Forget walking away, forget letting this little snot leave on his own.
"Afraid?" Jianyu said slowly, as he made his way towards Sakngea, not stopping in his pace so that he forced the younger boy to walk backwards. "Afraid? Of you?"
In one swift moment, Jianyu had grabbed Saknea's throat, slamming him up against the trunk of the cherry tree. A few petals drifted down, catching in Jianyu's hair, but his gaze was focused entirely on the redheaded Noble.
"I'm not scared of a little girl like you."

Sakn nearly gagged as he was shoved back against the tree. His throat felt crushed and his feet actually managed to come off the ground for a moment. He grasped Jianyu's wrist him both his hands then, and glared at the other boy, eyes hot with spite and rage.
He watched the petals fall into Jianyu's hair, and listened to him speak. His felt all the hairs rise on his body, and even though he sensed that he may have bitten off more then he could chew this time, Sakngea didn't let the grin fall from his face. In fact, he smiled wider and said in his most calm tone possible, showing his very unafraid he was of the Captain(a lie, but at the same time not!):
"Well, y'sh'uld be."
Before promptly spitting in the Captains face.
