Knight Title: Shalott, Knight of Earth
Challenge: "I will not be moved"
Philosophy: Kyndall can't fight being a mother. She can't fight being girly. Her first instinct is to calm and nurture. She would much rather be the wind beneath the other's wings than do all the fighting herself. Because of this she won't fight unless she has no other choice, following the teachings of her martial arts classes. She will kick butt if she's pushed into it, though, so don't underestimate her. Remember that adage about a lioness and her cubs? Yeah...it's like that. Her main focus is protection and if in a group of knights or senshi where she can indulge in those instincts, she will specialize in keeping the calm and motivating her team mates while guarding those in need.
Uniform: Fawn colored leather corset with a cream colored cloth bodice over. Green ivy or vines would run along the cloth bodice This is the basic idea I have in mind. The leather dress underneath for protection and freedom of movement with the cloth bodice over the top for femininity and decoration. Kyndall is, after all, VERY girly. For shoes I'd like tall boots with heels perhaps laced up the front with green ribbons or laces? Bracers would be nice etched and painted with the same vine detailing. The vines can be flowered or not...up to the colorist
This is all just a suggestion... or a vague idea. I am always very, very open to artistic license and interpretation!
Weapon -- A garland
Page: As a Page, her garland will only be a corsage wrapped around her wrist. Ornamental but not exactly useful unless the Negaverse agent in question has allergies. Achoo! Kyn is experienced in hand to hand combat having taken martial arts classes most of her adult life. (see Ki-yah hobby in her profile)
Squire: The garland may now have buds and immature blooms on it as well as woven with simple ribbons here and there to signify her higher rank. The length has changed as well from being a bud to 4 feet long. Actively channeling her power into the garland, usually while wearing it around her neck and holding onto either end, Shalott can create a barrier of vines around her opponent's legs. While this does no damage it can trip her opponent and, at the very least, slows them down. It can last for up to 30 seconds at a time barring her being distracted or hurt and only targets one opponent.
Knight: The garland is now in full, perfect bloom and is decorated with colorful ribbons and possibly strung with pearls or other such decorations. It's now 6 feet long. Shalott can grow the same vines from her page attack but now they have thorns on them. These thorns cannot harm metal or leather armor but can affect cloth. They grow around the opponent in a foot wide circle, binding their legs. If the opponent does not try to move or struggle they will do no damage. The vines can last for up to 45 seconds at a time barring her being distracted or hurt. They only last up to 20 seconds if trying to bind 2 targets. Again, Shalott much actively channel her magic through the garland in the same manner as her Squire power to keep this effect going.

Shalott and Kyndall: Kyndall knew of Shalott through the poem and through the Arthurian Legends. While the Camelot mythos and Shalott's mythos are tied together they are separate entities. Kyn has always been a big fan of the Tennyson poem and can recite it by heart. She thinks the tale of Guinevere running away with her true love Lancelot while forsaking a political marriage is romantic. Still, she has always felt a strong kinship toward the Camelot history and Shalott's part in it, being the island outside of Camelot where Lancelot and Guinevere fled to on the coast and lived out their days together creating a life.
Why Earth: Most people would agree with you if you told them Kyndall is not exactly normal. She treats everything like a performance, bursts into song whenever she likes and well, isn't what you'd call a typical mom. And now she has a another really good reason to not be normal.
Earth just fits for her. It makes the most sense. Her ancestral home, whether she realizes it yet or not, is in the ruins of England in a small island off the coast of the western midlands.
And she exhibits all of the things that typify Earth. She fights with honor thanks to the impressions of her martial arts training. She will not attack unprovoked and will not attack in any way that could be seen as cheating or cheap. This includes while enemies are otherwise indisposed by being hurt or by magic. Kyndall also believes in the virtues of being a warrior and a guardian. She is a mother and believes in comfort and soothing first but like a mother lion she will fiercely work to defend whoever she sees that needs it. You don't mess with her cubs and you don't prey upon the innocent. That's just how it is.
About Kyndall: Subtitled: How did this happen? Kyndall wants to help. Now that she's starting to wake up and see the other side of the world she can't simply remain helpless. She is a mother and she can't stand idly by and watch as helpless people are hurt. She's seen too much of that already and felt it hit home when her daughter was taken and got caught in the middle of the war. Her daughter died for this cause and she saw others die in the City Hall attack. She cannot allow this to continue now that she knows.
If this means finding roots she didn't know she had to be able to do something active to help, so be it. Kyn has never been the type to remain idle when she feels in her heart there is a call for action.
Fighting Style: Kyndall is, at heart, a performer and a nurturer. She can't get away from it. If she can help it she will always try to comfort, nurture, and support. However, when pushed into fighting she will not back down. She is a fierce warrior when it comes to the side of good.
Her fighting style will be mostly martial arts derivative. It's what she knows. While instinct may drive her to other forms she will stick to the rules and the honor of what she's learned.

Name: Kyndall Rosen Darrow
Nickname: Kyn, “Doll”
Age: 34 35 36 37 38
Birthday: December 17th
Sign: Sagittarius
Gemstone: Turquoise
Blood Type: O+
Fav. Food: Comfort foods
Hated Food: Mayonnaise
Occupation: Crystal Academy teacher of dramatics, wonder wife, full time mom
Hobbies:
Dramatic Maven: Kyndall has a collection of books, plays, and manuscripts that shame most film libraries. She collects them where she finds them and has in her time written a few works of her own. If she's not in class or busy with some other life necessity she is generally reading. Being married has forced her to get a TV and now she is collecting a vast myriad of films old and new and has made it her personal mission to educate him on her passion. Thankfully he does not seem to mind this... She can often be found at old film appreciation events or in town at plays.
Being a Mom: Just when she thought she was going to have her baby out of the house here came a new one for her to love and dote on! She takes her one year old everywhere but her mothering does not seem to stop there. Kyndall will take it upon herself to mother anyone she sees in need of it including her friends, her children's friends, and even random strangers. This makes her truly, truly happy.
Sing a little Song: Singing is how Kyndall communicates. She sings when she's happy or when she's thinking. She listens to music reflective of her mood and has taken lessons since she was young. She plays guitar and piano and sings along with the melody. When she plays old show tunes it means she's so angry she's about to explode. She will, on occasion, make the rounds on a particular karaoke night and usually knocks em' dead (as much as anyone can singing karaoke)
Staying in Shape: Most of the time this means running after her toddler but occasionally that also means going to the gym, pilates, or doing laps at the local pool. Kyn has sort of given up on her dreams of being a famous actress but that does not mean she can let herself go!
Virtues:
Motherly: She is quick to care for people and has no problem showing that affection. If you need a hug or a shoulder to cry on she is definitely your woman! This motherly instinct tends to allow Kyndall a lot of patience in emotional situations and tact when dealing with delicate matters. She is fine at offering advice and will go out of her way to offer people whatever she thinks will help them, always aiming to nurture. She is also fiercely protective of people, not just her loved ones. She will willingly step into danger to protect someone from harm, especially children. It's not something she consciously thinks about. It's instinct. She is especially fierce protecting her family and their relatively normal life together.
Graceful: Kyndall has a way about her that is graceful, and not just physically. Being married to someone that often finds himself tongue tied has allowed her practice at easing tense situations or relieving awkward moments without drawing much attention to the awkward part of it. She is also adept at being delicate with people's feelings and will usually be the calm and quiet voice of reason in arguments. Except, of course, when in the middle of one of her angry/fearful moments. (see Fiery Temper and Anxiety Driven below) If there is no immediate threat to her or her loved ones she can keep her head. If there is nothing to trigger her anxiety she is level headed. In day to day tiffs or disagreements she can be perfectly rational and calm about it. She is, after all, a mom that has raised a teenaged daughter.
Fun: Kyn is happiest when she is having fun. She will often think of activities that keep her and her family on the go and will plan fun outings for her students as a relief from lessons. Whatever it is that has to be done Kyndall will usually try to find a fun approach to it and will embrace that approach. She likes to tease and does not mind being teased in return. She will try to be fun when in the company of others, prompting everyone to try and find this attitude for themselves.
Content: Kyndall has very simple needs. She does not need to keep up with the Jonses to be happy. Simple gestures of affection make her happy, like a daisy picked and offered to her or a night spent cuddling in front of an old movie. She does not need an abundance of clothing in her closet or brand labels to feel like she is happy. So long as the people she loves are safe and happy then she is very content in life. Even daily menial tasks don't get her down because she does them for people she loves. And now that she has given up the idea that she needs to be famous she takes an incredible amount of pride and joy in her students and the drama club.
Flaws:
Motherly, the drawbacks: While it is great that Kyndall is a very caring and nurturing type of woman there is a drawback to her motherly affection. Often times Kyn will develop a "mother knows best" attitude when mothering people and will generally not hear arguments or reasons to the contrary whether with friends or strangers. She thinks she knows exactly what will help from her own point of view, not necessarily the person she is helping's point of view. This attitude can be a bit overbearing, especially with strangers. She will offer advice even when someone may not necessarily want it because she thinks she knows what will help them out. Again, this comes from a place of caring but it does not seem like it when she is busy giving you a 12 step program to fix your life.
Obstinate: Kyndall can be unbearably stubborn, especially when it comes to her family. Her stubborn natures sometimes makes her impossible to reason with. Even things that are natural or good changes, like her daughter moving out as an example, can be met with point blank defiance and though she will try not to be mean about this opposition she will not let it go until she is proven wrong about it beyond doubt. When in one of these obstinate arguments Kyndall will not hear reason and will not change her mind even if presented with logically sound reasons or passionate pleas.
Anxiety Driven: Kyndall suffers from bouts of severe anxiety, especially when faced with large changes. Because of the bad things in her past Kyn is unable to experience change without fear. She can handle them discontinuing her shampoo just fine. She cannot handle her daughter moving out or her husband having his star seed threatened. When in this mode she will internalize and usually not let people know that she is suffering but her personality will drastically change to a withdrawn and painfully quiet person with very little interest in anything. Around very trusted loved ones she can try to open up about how she is feeling but will be very emotional and shaky. On rare occasions this fear will spur her will to fight the source of her fear (see Fiery Temper) but more often than not she will retreat and experience a low point where she cannot cope and may even shut down beyond necessary functions. These periods can last as few as a few hours if proactively dealt with by outside sources to several weeks or months for large changes.
Fiery Temper: When she is angry Kyndall can be very vocal and very scary, especially when she is protecting someone she loves. She can be unrelenting and unforgiving when she feels like she is avenging a wrong done against her or her loved ones. Kyn is comfortable with violence in costume but will try to find a solution out of costume that will not result in her arrest. She sometimes reaches this state without getting all the facts or with very little prompting for a breaking point if the pressure has been building for a while. She is not reasonable in this state and is slow to come down from it. The only people that seems exempt from this anger seems to be her husband and children who she would rather die than hurt. Anyone else, ally or foe, should beware.

Who She's Met And what she thinks of them... Anthony Darrow, husband - I can't believe that something that started with a crush has ended so beautifully. I have married my best friend and there is nothing I wouldn't do for him.
Iouri Spekter, acquaintance - Aside from the fact that he mistook me for a lesbian I rather like Iouri. He's got some fun ideas and right now he's sparked my muse. Boris Karloff's classic Frankenstein goes steam punk. I'd never have thought about it. Very creative.
Ainsley, acquaintance - She's so cute and appears to be enamored on bunnies. Kyndall certainly hopes to see her again at story time in the library.
Alexandre, acquaintance - I haven't seen Alexandre lately but I've got his painting in my bedroom. He's such a great kid. No, not much of a kid anymore...
Merric, acquaintance - Well, he certainly gets into his music but I'm not entirely certain I have a firm opinion of him. He seems nice enough, I suppose.
Ridley, acquaintance - I remember how much energy I had when I was her age! I miss it! I like that she likes to read, certainly. I do hope to see her around the library again.
