Nate was taking care of Sarah tonight. There was terribly little he had to do: give her a snack and put her to bed at a decent time and stay there while she slept to make sure everything continued to be alright. Still, Kyndall worried as she was now a stay at home mother and was used to spending all of her time with her child. Not only that but until recently Nathan was not the most responsible young man. Still, part of their compromise to make their marriage work was that she should quit her job to be more available and he would try to patrol less to make time for nights like tonight.

She dressed for it, walking into the upscale bar they were meeting at. It only took her a moment to spot him at the bar, a smile tugging her lips up as she crossed to him. A light tap on his shoulder alerted him to her presence.

"Is this seat taken?"

She slid into the seat anyway before he could answer, one way or another.

"I'm supposed to meet my husband here tonight, but I won't tell if you don't."

There was no work tomorrow, no set time to be home. They could get a hotel room in the heart of the city and spend the night utterly alone if they wanted to. She already had the key in her purse for a nice hotel close by to the bar she chose to meet him at. For a night they could pretend that they were someone and somewhere else and have a little fun doing it. Who said they couldn't keep the romance alive? Their marriage was nearing the fifth wedding anniversary, in August, and it was important to make these years as good as their honeymoon years.

Her eyes sparkled as she looked at him.

"Buy a lady a drink?"

Tony was waiting at the bar, as directed, dressed up for the evening in a casually, but no less handsome for it, get up. He was not the best with his clothes, as was always the case, but he had put in some effort to look good for his wife. He was aiming for 'not a librarian', and hope he had hit it, despite most of his closet working against him.

He smiled when he felt the tap on his shoulder, glancing over it to see her and looking leisurely. He sighed, offering a shrug as if he was not too bothered either way. Playing coy, hard to get.

Despite the fact that they were married.

"But of course. Anything for a beautiful woman like yourself. Still, I feel I must be honest with you from the start." He turned toward her, motioning for the stool beside him so she might sit down. He smiled, green eyes sparkling. He'd had nothing to drink so far, though a glass was sitting and waiting for him. "I'm married. That doesn't bother you, does it? I certainly hope it doesn't, anyway. Last I checked, my wife looked a great deal like you."

He looked a little helpless, trying his best to be silly and flirty, though he was out of practice. Silly on accident, maybe, but that was mostly just embarrassing himself while trying to be serious. This was different: he was trying to be fun. Which meant, he knew, he'd probably fail.

"Married?" Kyndall managed to look both shocked and intrigued at the same time. "Then I suppose anything we get up to will have to be in secret."

She pretended as if they were still strangers, watching him with appraising eyes and smiling that smile meant only for him: the one that made him melt. The bartender got her drink and slid it down in front of her, which she took and turned the straw idly with one hand. She crossed her legs deliberately, so he could get a flash of her thigh and the stockings she was wearing, along with a fancy garter belt. She was in no hurry to seduce him, but that was the plan by the end of the evening.

Of course, if there was one fool for him in this world, it was her.

She pressed a finger to his lips as he began to talk about her as his wife, shaking her head ever so slightly.

"I don't want to talk about your wife tonight. If you have kids, pets, whatever: I don't want to know."

She took a long drink from her glass and brushed her leg against his as she adjusted in her chair to be able to face him. The pretense was actually rather nice and for once they could leave their family at home where it belonged. She had no intention of going home until the next morning after they'd had their nice night of play. He'd won her over by being charming and a little fumbling, but she knew he had a rogue in him somewhere, and that was beginning to show itself a bit as they spoke. It was one thing to hear about Arrow, it was another to meet him.

"What I want to talk about is you. Tell me about you. What's the most fun you ever had?"

Unlike an ordinary question, this one had the distinct ring of a challenge to it.

Tony smirked, though he doubted he would be able to keep up the little game for too long. He was not interested in pretending to be other people, anyway. He did that all the time, fighting a war and running a library as two entities that were meant to be distinct from each other, yet were painfully linked. He was glad to have a night out, where he could just be a little bit of both, and thus himself.

"Getting married," he looked at her pointedly, nodding his head to confirm his opinion before leaning in to steal a quick, but passionate kiss. He loved his wife more than anything in the world, which was saying quite a lot. He was a very deeply emotional man, and cared about things with a hundred and ten percent of his heart. She got even more than that out of him, which made her the most precious thing he had to love and protect.

He turned more toward her, holding his drink and ignoring the rest of the bar. The bartender had wandered off, anyway, leaving the two to flirt however they liked. Their story was lost to him, anyway. Tony, though, remembered every moment.

"I'm sorry it's been so long since we've gone out and done anything, my love," he said honestly, shaking his head. He watched her, reminded again how beautiful she was, and how some things never changed. He cleared his throat, though, not wanting to get too serious on that front, and held his glass up a bit toward her. "So, the question is to you, then. What's the most fun you've ever had?"
