Kyndall was infinitely grateful to Bell for helping her find the right venue for her ball at the right price. She'd been more than happy to do a majority of the footwork herself but without that the night would not have been a success. As it was she was proud of her accomplishments. All the same she was on her way to see Bell and express her gratitude in person with an invitation out for coffee. It seemed like a good way to make a connection she might use in the future for other events. She had no idea, of course, that Bell was also her Page pupil.

Bellatrix was running a little late for coffee, but she had to make sure that Millicent had gotten out the door for her playdate with...well, with whoever the child was playing with that evening. She walked into the coffee shop, just a little bit flustered, then glanced around. What had Kyndall said she looked like? Green hair...was that it? She gave the shop another sweep with her eyes, then smiled, seeing only one woman with green hair sitting inside. With no hesitation she walked over. "Kyndall? If you're not Kyndall, then I apologize for this, but if you are, then. Hey! I'm Bellatrix." She smiled, happy to meet the woman in person finally. She had been ever so nice on the phone.

"Hi there."

Kyndall's smile broadened at the woman not much younger than she was by a quick estimate. She gestured to the seat in front of her, a steaming cup in her own hands. She'd gotten there a little early, as was her habit, and had time to order before Bell arrived. She hadn't been waiting long, though, and the cup was still nearly full.

"It's a pleasure to meet you at last."

The sun was bright and the air was warming a little as spring settled in. The winter chill wasn't gone completely but it was certainly considering retreat. It was a nice day to be out. She was happy to be meeting new people, anyway. She certainly was enthusiastic. It was refreshing.

Bellatrix all but beamed then took a seat across from the other woman, smiling. “It really is! We should have done this ages ago, I do believe.” Meeting clients was something that she always liked to do, and normally insisted upon doing, but since it had been around that time that she was in the hospital from the attack on her, and Millie was staying with that Marie woman, Bellatrix hadn’t had a time to really set up any sort of meeting. It was a shame though…she was beginning to think that she could like Kyndall. The woman had been so excited on the phone, and seemed to be a very pleasant person in real life too.

“So, how have you been? Any more ideas for parties or dances that I can help you throw together?” She laughed, then drew in a long breath. “This shop smells fantastic. I might have to go order myself one of the drinks…I’ve always heard good things about this place.”
Coffee had never been her favorite drink, but she wouldn’t say no to a hot chocolate. For a moment, she turned and scanned the menu that was up on the wall, grinning when she saw that hot chocolate was indeed an option.

Kyn smiled, her eyes sparling with joy. The ring on her finger still sparkled whenever it caught the sunlight and every morning she woke up with it she was amazed that it hadn't vanished with her dreams. Someone she loved beyond anything else actually wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. He wanted to marry her. The concept was laughable in her eyes but so romantic she couldn't stand it. It was as if her life was now directly out of a fairy tale with her prince charming and knight in shining armor rolled into one. She held up the ring so Bell could see it.

"How do you feel about planning weddings?"

Not that she'd need a lot of help with it but it would be nice to have someone in her corner. Still, Kyndall was giddy with the news and trying to keep it to herself was hell. She had no idea how to organize a wedding among the knights. Maybe she'd ask her protege, Caelian, to help her.

Bellatrix grinned, looking at the ring. “Oh, my! Kyndall, that’s beautiful!” The other woman’s excitement and utter joy was rather infectious, and she couldn’t help but gush a little. “I’ve done weddings before, yeah. Receptions, more so than actual weddings, but I know of some people who can help. Are you thinking a large wedding, or just a small one? Who is this lucky man, anyway?”
She was trying to be professional, she was, but…a wedding! She hadn’t gotten to help plan for one of those in a long time…let alone plan one for someone who she was quickly considering to be her friend. “Do you have any themes in mind as well? I need to know these things, Kyn. When is it set for, do you know?”

"Anthony Darrow. He works at the local library." Not to mention he was a dashing and chivalrous knight. "He's...he's rather perfect."

She smiled shyly and let the woman gush as was appropriate not having many other girlfriends to do it. It felt nice and normal to have this event in her life celebrated and drawn out into the spotlight more than the bizarre happenings of a strange town. She wanted joy and peace and something good lifting her up and more than anything else on Earth she wanted to be Mrs. Darrow. Or, in a smaller way, Mrs. Camelot.

"No theme I don't think. Something small. We haven't really set a date. It's kind of new. I'm...overwhelmed."

Getting married was certainly never something she'd prepared herself for mentally or emotionally but it was a pleasant sensation. "God, Bell, he makes me so happy. I just...I don't understand any of this. How can someone so great want to spend his life with me?"

Anthony Darrow…Bellatrix thought for a moment, then her face lit up. “You’re marrying him, Kyn? Oh, oh my goodness! That’s so awesome!” She had been saved by a Mr. Anthony Darrow once…though, he had introduced himself to her as Camelot at first…another knight...well, at least…Kyndall wouldn’t ever be in danger, not with someone as strong as that for a husband!

For a long moment, she just sat there, smiling, then she shook her head. “Al right, no theme, something small…oh, it’s perfectly normal to be overwhelmed! I’m so glad you’re happy…and I’m kind of jealous at the same time. I mean…I’ve never done the whole marriage bit…just the, you know. Having the child, bit. But I don’t regret it, not one bit. My daughter is my pride and joy, after all.”

She shook her head, unable to keep from smiling. “But…oh, you’re so lucky. I’m going to do my best to make this the very best wedding ever, Kyndall. I promise.”

"Yeah. I...I don't know how Harm's gonna handle this. She's never had a dad. I didn't keep hers around for very long once I...after the...Well, he wasn't around long."

Her history there was long and complicated and she wasn't in the mood to dwell on it. What Harmony's real father missed out on she'd been able to see. And now her daughter was getting the best father Kyn could think of and she the best husband. She didn't fear anything with him. She didn't hide anything from him. With him she was all of her truest self, both sides of her life. But she smiled at a fellow single mom and felt the woman's pain.

"Been there. Done that. And now look at me. Your man is out there Bell."

All the same there were tears in her eyes with that promise. It would be the very best wedding in the world so long as he was still there to say I do.

Bellatrix gave a small nod. “I know what you mean. Millicent had a father until just recently, at least. He…well. Decided to just….” She shrugged. “He hasn’t been around for her since before Christmas…it really hurt her bad. But, enough with the morbid talk. Today is about you, and your future happiness.” The woman took a sip of her hot chocolate, and just smiled, drawing out a small pad of paper and a pen, scribbling down some notes of what she had been told. “Now, this wedding planning is free of charge for you, Kyn. Think of it as my wedding gift, okay?”
There was someone out there for her. And she might not find him right away, but someday, someday she’d find love again, and Millie would get a dad who wouldn’t flake off like a piece of dead skin. But, that day just had to get here. Trouble was, sometimes it didn’t seem like it was getting here quick enough. “Just keep me informed if you have any change of mind, about the size, or if you get an exact date. I won’t deny that I’m a pretty good event planner, but I do need some details to work my….uh. Event magic.” She laughed then just shook her head, grinning at Kyndall.

"God, Bell, are you sure?"

Kyndall thought she'd heard of Millicent. Perhaps she's seen her somewhere, she wasn't sure. She couldn't imagine anyone just walking out but respected the woman for what she was doing to raise her daughter on her own. It was tough on any woman and Kyn knew that first hand. She'd done it herself from seventeen onward. She didn't envy anyone in that position.

"Tony and I haven't quite gotten there yet. We're house hunting and trying to narrow down the details first. We're trying to let the kids adjust. Nate won't be...he probably won't be thrilled with the idea."

She was worried about the boy's reaction and knew her fiance was, too. It would be an adjustment for them all but the kids could not stop them anymore. They were grown and bound for better things (they prayed). It was time for the adults to enjoy life and happiness denied them far too long. The older woman chuckled at her friend thinking this was all a bit premature. The wedding might be months off yet before they finished all the planning.

She made an impatient sounding noise and waved her hand. “Yes, I’m sure. Honestly, this is the first thing I’ve really been sure of in a long while.” The woman looked at her watch and gave a heavy sigh. “I hate to have to run, but I have a meeting with a client in half an hour…but…It was wonderful to finally meet you and to get to hang out. I feel like I’ve known you for years, and I really look forward to spending more time with you!” Bellatrix stood up and held out her hand across the table to Kyndall. “Until next time, yes?”
Her raspberry eyes were glowing with a kind of happiness she hadn’t felt in quite some time. Raising Millicent hadn’t allowed for much friend time for mom, so this was really a break she had needed without realizing it.

"Until next time."

Kyn felt sort of wrapped up in this whirlwind and didn't mind the abrupt meeting for her scurrying off to her next appointment. She was a busy woman and deserved a chance to make her money. Kyn grinned and offered her new friend a hug for all of her support and for the wonderful wedding present. Her smile was genuine and made her glow with her inner joy.

"We should make this a thing. Single moms need to stick together." And, maybe Kyn could offer some help along the way.

She nodded, seeming pleased. “I agree completely,” The hug was returned, then Bellatrix gave a little wave. “Bye, Kyndall, take care now!” The woman left the coffee shop and seemed very happy about the events that had just transpired, and started planning little bits and pieces of what she could do for her new friend’s wedding. Maybe, just maybe she would even go and see Anthony Darrow again, and give him her congratulations. One thing was for sure. She now had a lot more to think about, and a lot to look forward to in the days to come.
