determined When Serr wants something, he will have it. If he wishes to do something, he will do it. He is never in any real hurry to meet his goals, but he is supremely confident that he will eventually do so. He is rather blind to others' needs in the quest to meet his own, but when they are brought to his attention he can be a staunch advocate for the goals of those he is close to as well. Just don't expect them fulfilled any time soon unless you remind him. Constantly.
curious If Serr was to be defined by a single question, that question would be why? His desire to find an answer informs nearly everything that he does and he can sometimes grow quite agitated that his curiosity is not quelled more easily. Generally, however, he is content to keep asking, delving deeper and deeper into the most mundane subjects and locations long after his companions have fallen away, bored.
quiet Serr is not particularly observant, but he does like to watch sometimes and he doesn't like to be noticed. He is quite capable of remaining still for short stretches, but it is his voice that is truly quiet. He doesn't speak very often, though he is not deliberately impolite, he doesn't like to speak and tends to keep himself away from situations that warrant verbal communication.
distracted While Serr might wake up with a plan in mind, he will have invariably strayed from it completely by the time he lies down to sleep that night. He discovers four or five new things he wants to explore every day and only rarely feels frustrated that the schedule he had planned has been derailed completely by his own inability to focus.
impulsive Serr doesn't put a lot of forethought into anything. He has no problem running from the bad situations he puts himself in, and his body has yet to fail him on that front. It's likely his good luck will come to an end someday, but that's certainly not something he has considered for very long.
kinetic Although this is not quite a personality trait, it is something that is immediately apparent when dealing with Serr. Unless it directly interferes with his ability to remain silent when he is looking to, Serr is always moving. He fidgets, he taps his toes, he twines his fingers in his hair, he even climbs things if it seems those he's interacting with won't mind, and even sometimes when they do. He is most explosive after his quiet moments, dashing away at a sprint after sitting in a tree for an hour. He hates being forced to remain still when he doesn't want to be. Those who try to force him to are the only ones who ever truly see him angry.
family || Aunty Fiia | Fi is not actually Serr's aunt, she just told him that initially to reassure him and it stuck. She is the only parent he's ever really known and the two are very close when Serr allows it.
Rhae | Still an occasional presence in Yera, Rhae remains a flighty wanderer. Though she is friendly with Serr when she runs across him, she politely denies that he is her son and holds no real importance in his day to day life.
Yason | Presumed dead. Nothing is known about him beyond the fact that Rhae mentioned he was Serr's father once or twice while she was pregnant.
personal history || Born in Yera to a fourteen-year-old Leaf girl named Rhae, Serr was rather well taken care of for a boy whose mother was never particularly interested in him. The same neighbors who had been looking after Rhae since she had wandered into their midst took it upon themselves to coddle her son, though from a very young age Serr proved himself rather uncoddleable. He had a tendency to run from adults, and he spent the first stretch of his life doing just that once he had learned to stand, seeming to stop only when he needed to eat or passed out from exhaustion.
By the time Fiia, a local baker, decided enough was enough, Serr was four years old and already rather set in his ways regarding education and social skills. Rhae had been a rare sight in town for the better part of six months, and with gentle words and colorful candy Fi lured Serr into his first bath in at least that long. He chafed against her attempts to civilize him for some time, but she was a stubborn woman and eventually they reached an accord. For the next twelve years, Serr helped her work when he was feeling amiable and made deliveries when he couldn't tolerate being inside. In return, she fed him, clothed him, and taught him what others expect of him. Most of the time he does a decent job of it.
