Xarnith- Post 9

Xarnith shrugged. "Would be a good distraction for my opponent. Though, a well trained warrior wouldn't let a mere bell distract them." he said as he picked up the set he got. He followed Bisera to a spot where he easily slipped the anklets on himself. Then took a knee to slip Bisera's on the smaller wind male's ankles. "There."

As he stepped back the male jingled the bells testing the sound of the little chimes. He would get the sounds memorized soon enough. Use them as a way to track Bisera as well as allow Fractis to take both of them...once he figured out how to bell train the little kitten. He peeked in his sling to watch the small thing roll over to its belly. Silly little beast. He reached in and stroked the velvet soft pelt. He looked up to Bisera...they should get back to his uncle and brother....wouldn't take them long...he had spotted the male just a few moments ago. Most likely going to listen to the speech and then meet them back at the Inn.

Eziya Post 6

"I'm curious what everything is going to be about. I've never really even been close to the palace," Eziya muttered to Serr, following close at his side as they followed after the parade. "I hope it's a good speech. Not something about some coming threat or anything."

Aeuri Post 6

When his siblings took too long, and the dancers appeared, Aeuri instead focused ahead, letting them make their way up top as needed and not worrying too much about them getting there or them getting caught. Instead, he watched as the dancers twirled around with flashes of color, weaving a story he didn't understand and catching his focus as he watched with awe.

Then, the soliders came, and Aeuri kept quiet as he looked for both his father and Naraka. If they saw him, he knew he'd be reprimanded later in the evening for his daring behavior, maybe more so than if his mother caught sight. She'd fret, but Nuri would most likely lecture him until the moon rose high.

Keeping quiet, the youngling watched and waited.

Nuri

Nuri was reassured when Saraf let it go, understanding the man's suspicion enough to feel like he got off easy. Instead, he turned to his sister, "Either go into the crowd or keep close to Naraka...we've got to march..."

Then, he turned back to Saraf and gave a nod, "It's good to see you again...maybe we can go for drinks and catch up. It's been much too long since either of us have been stationed in the capital...in fact, maybe it's time for a rematch?"

A smirk crossed his face, as this time Nuri was quite confident in his ability compared to before.

Saraf - Post 7

Saraf gave a bit of a smile as Nuri mentioned it being good to see him, something he responded to by saying, "It's been a while, with both of tied up with our obligations to the army." Not to mention Nuri being tied up with family as well while Saraf was outside of Sulburi traveling with his unit in the Oban wilds. It made getting together a bit difficult.

"All of that sounds like a great idea." He said giving a momentary glance around, spotting the strange looking girl as she drifted around through the crowd looking a bit on the lost side. He gave a bit of a sighing sound, lifting a hand to rub it against his temples.

Lowering his hand to his side, putting a smile back on his face he looked at Nuri and said, "Once I deal with an obligation of mine I will only be too happy to meet up with you for at least the drink and chat. Did we want to meet at the usual place?" The bar that they had gone to the first time sounded good by him. He meant to enjoy the last bit of time he had on leave by catching up with his friend. Before that though he had to make sure the 'Lady of Oba' was brought back to... well, wherever she belonged.

He waited, looking for a point in which the girl seemed to be looking his way, before giving a sharp whistle that he hoped would get her attention.

Serr
post six

"Neither have I." Despite his interest in the sorts of things that kept life from being mundane, he hadn't thought the speech might announce anything unfavorable. Serr couldn't help thinking it might be fun if it did, but he knew that in the long run that would be bad. At the very least, it wouldn't be a declaration of war. The Obans were nearly outnumbered in their own lands these days, and such an action would be incredibly stupid.

"I'm sure it'll be fine," he said nudging her with his shoulder. "Fun."

Arima - Post 7

Now which was was it again? Frowning, Arima twisted a stray strand of hair thoughtfully through her fingers. "Left...no right?" Biting her bottom lip the girl danced nervously through the slowly dispersing crowds. When she thought she had eyes on her the girl even started to turn backwards and walk towards the parade location. I'm not going to be scared...everything is fine, just fine- eh?

Blinking, Arima stumbled forward at the sound of a sharp whistle. What in the world? "Sa-Saraf?" The word was a light whisper, but already her body was moving forward towards the summons. As much as it brought a dangerous flush to her cheeks the girl was still glad to have someone. It was much better than those shady men who had been looking towards her earlier! The relief was obvious as she rushed forward. Almost as if she were afraid to lose him once more...

Awkwardly she gave a light wave before slowing down her steps and looking uncertainly towards him. Had the whistle been for her? What if she looked like a fool just now? She literally had just run towards him like a trained beast! Perhaps I was a bit too happy to see his face... But she had been lost! Not that she wanted to admit that either...at least he could take her back. Then she wouldn't ever have to bother him again and this embarrassment of hers could be shoved far, far away into her memories.

Eziya Post 7

"Yes, you're probably right. It'll be fun. Nothing to worry about!" she nodded, relaxing at his reassurance. Things were very different in Oba, but that was no reason for her to think the worst. She just needed to keep reminding herself about it.

Serr

That was more like it. Not that he begrudged Eziya all of her worries and concerns, serious or exaggerated, but as crowded, warm, and loud as the parade route was, this was still a festival. He had to have faith that everything would be all right for one day. Serr smiled at her reply, watching all of the fine and upstanding citizens around them mingling and posturing, some of their robes so covered with gold that they were blinding to look upon.

"Your biggest worry should be that I'll take a liking to the clothing here and insist on wearing something like that."

Sulburi

The King said his piece, his speech welcoming everyone and beginning on the strength of their great country of Oba, welcoming those who were outsiders visiting on this important day. He advised that the people of Oba be an example to those who was not born to their ways, and once he had finished the crowd clapped and cheered in excitement. Not everyone was happy with the acceptance of outsiders, but the majority had come to terms by now with their new open borders.

The King withdrew to his estate, letting the people continue on in their festivities and allowing the parade to disperse. The dancers and entertainers from the parade set up venues to perform long into the afternoon and eventually evening before the setting sun called for the end of their long day. It was time to return to their everyday lives, and all were ready to turn in for the night, save for the few that would join the taverns and brothels for their own late night adventures.
