Xariy Post 2

"Nah not yet. You still got some time if you're trying to find a good spot." Xariy replied, winking at the young Alkidike before her. Sure the girl was far taller than her, but that didn't stop her from anything. "You trying to find someone? Or just curious about it all?" The girl definitely looked familiar to her as well, but it was hard to pinpoint where she had exactly spotted her. She had seen a lot of people in her time after all.

Mosi
post three

She wanted them to be condescending or disgusted so that she'd have something to hang her hate on, but these mainlanders were more curious than anything, and considering that she was as well, it only served to heighten the feeling in her. Mosi's expression softened slightly, and she almost seemed to pout as she replied, like she couldn't believe they weren't horrible.

"No, I'm the one who should be sorry," she said, ducking her head in something approaching a bow. "It is rather crowded and I wasn't paying attention. You're right. I am Yaeli. I was here for the tournament and I thought I would stay to see your festival before I returned home."

Serr

This time it was his turn to tug her gently after him as he brought them to the base of the ladder and helped her up. As it turned out, Eziya was right to worry as the space on the roof ledge was minimal, but Serr didn't seem concerned at all as he shimmied out nearly as far as it went, testing to make sure it could hold them. He was smirking when he returned to her.

"I think it's safe. But we can stay close to the ladder if you want."

Sulburi

At last, it was time for the parade to begin. It started with the performers, musicians and dancers alike beginning their walk and filling the air with music and dancing. The colors and sounds were overwhelming, and anyone could hear the noise as it built up around the palace. Next, the army was lined up by class, the generals in front as each group was led by captains. Near the end of their group was the grand chariot, which housed the King and Princess. There were some army members behind them, but it was clear that they were more of an escort and the royal court was the climax of the parade.

To those who watched, they might be taken in by the sounds, the movements, the power, or even the smiles of the royalty. No matter what, everyone knew that as the parade passed, it was up to them to follow or make their way toward the palace where the grand speech would soon be made.

Shesha - Post 4

The pair of them had found a great place to stand, with Shesha enjoying the parade more then he felt that he should. It was childish to be made so happy by performers like those in the parade after all. It was just music and dancing, something he saw all the time, and yet for some reason the parade aspect made it all seem as though it were on a grander scale somehow. Shesha was only too happy to take it all in, enjoying the start of the parade as much as the next person. It was as the next part of it started though that his stance changed a bit. There they were, the various army members lined up by their ranks, with those that were more interesting in Shesha's mind up front. He found himself scanning the Generals, his eyes ever curious about those in power, taking in ever detail one could grasp from this distance.

Then there were those who were even more interesting to him, mostly because they had what was unattainable by any no matter how hard they tried. One might be able to get to be a lord or lady by making the right moves in life, but to but royalty was something attained only by having the right blood. Well, that or the right marriage but he wasn't in a royal marrying position now was he? Presently that wasn't his goal though, instead finding that he liked the idea of 'court mage' to some noble or another.

Glancing at Aqio he said, "We should get going, little fish. I have to say that I am quite curious about the speech that His Majesty is going to make. If you plan to do anything foolish be sure to put distance between the two of us. I don't want to be arrested along with you, that would risk my clothing getting dirty."

Incanthis - Post 4

Incanthis followed Abe around for a while, until it was time for the parade. It was something that he'd been curious about and they found their way to a spot where they could watch it but wouldn't be right out in the middle of the crowd. The spot that Incanthis stuck to was a nice spotted off to one side that was shaded by some of the buildings. Lifting his hands up he adjusted his hood, making sure that it would help to hide his face, as he watched the parade. It was all quite flashy, wasn't it? Something that almost made Incanthis less afraid of them. Almost.

Giving a glance to the side he checked on Junior who was chirping up a storm while laying flat on the ground. The footsteps, the dancing, the music, it was all causing vibrations in the ground and it seemed to be something that Junior liked. Giving a curious sound he squatted down for a moment, resting his hand against the ground, "Huh, that's neat, you can feel the music, can't you?" He wondered if that was preferable to the snaptrotters to actually listening to it.

Standing back up he glanced at Laqui and Kyri, curious if they were just as interested by the feel of the music. He was watching them for a moment he glanced at Abie then, giving him a smile, "They seem to like it." He murmured before he glanced passed those he was with, back to the parade... and took a couple more steps back into the shadows when it came to the part of the parade that showed off the Oban army.

Bisera - Post 4

After Xarnith's suggestion that he didn't draw the army, something that felt like a shame though he understood the reasoning, they had continued on with their search with food for Fractis. They didn't want the poor little kitten to be hungry after all. Once the kitten had been taken care of they were able to seek out a nice place to watch the parade from. It was quite the procession, something that had the blond bouncing in place a bit, turning to look at Xarnith, "The music is really amazing, huh? The way that it carries!" It was wonderful! Not only could he hear it but he could feel it too in his chest, it was amazing!

Then there were the dancers, a whole beautiful group of them that reminded him of a flock of birds! It had him smiling brightly, "Wow! They are so beautiful, Xarnith! Look, look!" He said, pointing in an exciting manner. There was so much about them that was noteworthy, things that he did his best to commit to memory for later.

Bushi - Post 4

Bushi gave Phaedra a glance, then smiled, "It can be, there are a lot of people in Sulburi after all. It's the biggest city in the country." It was probably made even more overwhelming given the sizes of the places that he'd seen up North. He gave a smile as he moved to chat with another customers, grinning as the young man was only too happy to buy a simple crystal necklace from him for the girl that was with him.

He turned to look at Phaedra and he gave a humming sound, "Yes and no, it tends to be a very busy time of year due to the festival, but it's even more so this year. There are a lot of visitors this go around. I feel like it's a good thing... and not just because I make my living off the people that gather around me." He could make money off peace times or war times, but peace times were actually a bit nicer for him. It meant getting to make money without as much risk of being stoned again... or so he hoped.

"I'm sure that as long as the festival goes on and a maybe a few days after it's going to be busy. You can hang out here with us as much as you need until it's over... and well, even after though we might be heading out to a nearby town soon." No reason why she couldn't hang out with them until then.

Sabra Knight
They can meet up at the end of the parade for the speech if they like. Unless she meets up with someone else before then. ^_^ <3

Saraf - Post 4

After introductions were made Saraf had escorted the strange 'Oban Lady' as far as possible, not able to bring her the entire way though due to the fact that he had to take part in the parade. The question became would she be there at the end of the parade. Would she be interested in the king's speech? She claimed to be a Lady of Oba so maybe she would be there? Not that it was really his business what she did, he just hoped that she would take his advice when it came to being careful. He wouldn't want her to get taken advantage of by the dangerous elements of Oba that were sure to be skulking about, especially if she was actually a lady by way of marriage or something similar.

He gave the girl one last glance, "Do be careful, keep an eye on your surroundings, and maybe I will see you at the end of the parade unless you find someone else to act as escort." He told the oddly colored girl before he hurried to get himself into place with his particular unit. Once there he set to looking around, to see who else was nearby, curious if he would spot some of those that he knew... and liked, the latter thing something that was actually important to Saraf.

Not that he'd let certain people get to him today, not when it was the sort of day that he wanted to enjoy to its fullest. He'd be damned if he allowed himself to look a fool when the royal family was about.

Varinia || Post 3

It seemed to Varinia that their new conversation partner was rather surprised with their reaction to her. She supposed she could see where the girl might get some strange reactions, especially since she had read about some kind of sickness in Tendaji that affected the crystals. As black crystals were never seen in their known world so far it would be a logical reaction.

At least for this girl, Naevius and herself were a bit more well informed than the average populace and it only caused them to be more curious than was probably appropriate. "Well in any case, all is forgiven then." She watched the yaeli with semi-critical eyes as she figured Nae would have questions she would want to ask if she could break through the normal politeness. The parade was starting now, though, which made Varinia frown slightly. "Uh oh...shall we walk and talk?" So they had run behind a little, as long as they were at the palace before the speech they would be okay.

Naevius || Post 3

Naevius smiled at the yaeli as she replied and...kind of bowed? It made the corners of her mouth twitch up ever so slightly more. "Well I hope you enjoyed the tournament. I know for Obans, they can be fairly competitive in the line of battle. This festival is definitely more...festive as we're able to share it with more races and we're not actually marching off to war." It was something that Naevius was grateful for.

The Princess had noticed the start of the parade as soon as Varinia mentioned it. They shared a look and nodded, they would have to just walk quickly and keep pace with the parade to make sure they were at the palace before it was time for the speech...and hope they didn't look too horribly. "Would you like to join us as we make our way up towards the palace? We want to try and be towards the front so we'll probably be walking quickly but you're more than welcome join us. And, if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to ask you some questions about your homeland. As you can imagine, we don't have much info about Yael." She waited for Mosi's answer before they started off on their quick pace towards the castle.

Aqio- Post 4

Aqio stood a little more in the oban mage's shadow as the parade started. He was impressed by the show of Oba's entertainment sector. As the army showed up, Shesha would feel a slight brush of Aqio's hand against his back. The army brought some sense of fear to the Matori, it was deep rooted. He shook his head slightly as he stepped out. Gathering his courage.

"Impressive. I can see why their feared even to this day..." he mumbled.

Abie- Post 3

Abie smiled as Incanthis picked up on something he noticed a while back. He glanced to Kyri as the large female had settled gracefully down near them. Her long tail encircling their small group, a ring of protection as it were. Laqui laid by his brother, answering the other's series of chirps. The water male settled to sit. He gently tugged Incanthis to sit by him. Kyri's tail curled closer to the two. "Its their chest build. I noticed it to...they most likely use vibrations to find prey in the water. Like we can feel deep sounds in our own chests...similar principal." he explained.

He didn't care much for the army. He admired the skills the performers had displayed but that was about it.

Xarnith- Post 3

The bigger of the two wind males smiled. "The performers were stunning..." he could read it on the other's face. He tilted his head as their movements reminded him of a pattern that he once saw. "There's a pattern on Torvarith's baby blanket that they remind me of. I'll show it to you when we regroup with them." he chuckled then straightened his shoulders a bit.

Showing respect as a warrior to fellow warriors. Though he understood their ideals weren't the same and perhaps their code of valor. He would still respect a fellow warrior.

Phaedra Post 4

Her eyes didn't know where to settle. The crowd and all their finery, the shoppers that came to talk to Bushi, or Bushi himself. All of them were interesting to her. So when she heard that she was welcome to stay near the Oban man she grinned at him. "I think I will. I don't want to get lost out there." Besides, it seemed that Bushi had picked the best place and she could see everything from where she was.

"Going to sell there or is that where you get your supplies?" Phaedra wondered. When he finally did leave then she would need to be on her way as well. She'd not seen Mano or Kyrian in some time. A few days at least. It made her wonder if perhaps she had gotten turned around after that day she'd run into Saraf. It was possible. So how would she find her friends again? If she did at all? "I guess in a few days I should head out as well."
