Aeuri Post 1
Aeuri was dressed up today, something that left him feeling uncomfortable in the heat. His mother, who knew how to dress to the culture, insisted he look his best and blend in as much as he could. Really, it wasn't too difficult, considering his eyes and skin, but still others noticed his sandy hair and light crystals. As a result, he often was covered the best he could be, to help distract others from his clear difference and lineage.
Moving around, Aeuri glanced about the crowd and ignored his nanny, turning to his siblings and grinning a bit at them, "Do you think we'll see momma and papa?"
He hoped they would, especially since he wanted to see his father dressed up in his military outfit. Of course, considering his mother danced, he knew that too would be a fun thing to see as long as he was able to stretch tall enough to catch sight of the parade.
"Maybe we should go someplace higher to see..."

Mosipost one
Mosi hadn't meant to stay here so long, but deep down she knew it was for the best. Once she returned home to Yael, she was sure she wouldn't be back for a very long time. It had been important to come when she had, to get the measure of the people here before she made a commitment to her future, but after the initial shock, all the inquisitive looks and grabby hands had quickly grown tiring, and the girl was looking forward to seeing her family again.
Even though she remained overwhelmed after all these weeks, she was still interested in experiencing the start of the festivities here. It puzzled her that following years of isolation, the Yaeli still held their celebration at the same time as the other earthlings. She supposed it had more to do with the height of the summer season and some universal desire for fun and frivolity that came with it than any actual similarity in intent. It would have to be something like that. From what she could see, the Oban festival promised to be a stark contrast to what she was used to.
She'd done her best to disguise herself, pulling her hair and ears back into a sheer scarf and keeping her gaze on the ground, but no one on the mainland wore glasses or had black crystals, so she was still the subject of plenty of curious stares. As long as they didn't touch her, she'd be fine.
Mosi found a spot near a pair of older Oban—ones who were too caught up in arguing with one another to pay her much mind—and settled in to wait for the parade to begin.Quote: Mosi is open for interaction even though she's a xenophobic snob! XD

Serrpost two
He shifted a little at Eziya's comment on his strength, inordinately pleased by it since it had come from her. On the one hand, he still considered this sort of reaction nothing more than starry-eyed foolishness. On the other, it was a foolishness he had grown rather used to over the past several months.
"It might be a little dangerous," he said, looking around for promising spots to try. "But if we fall, you can patch us up." Serr chuckled, leaning in almost cheek-to-cheek to align his line of sight with hers. He pointed at a ladder propped against the side of a nearby building. "I know you can handle that, even if you do think your arms are the noodliest."

Sabra Knight She can follow if she wants! ^_^ Elyessi Heading Nuri's way if he wants to spot him? Saraf - Post 3 Saraf found himself starring at the strange looking woman when she told him that it wasn't a necessity to apologize for what she'd done as it was a common occurance. It was enough to cause him to lift an eyebrow, "Is that so?" There was a part of him, the more temperamental part, that wanted nothing more then to tell her exactly what he thought about that claim... but instead he swallowed down his words. He would take this run in as a test, one laid before him by Nerad to see if he could keep his temper in check. He'd failed the last test laid before him and he meant to prove that he could in fact deal with... well, huffy foreign women. Letting out a breath as the woman seemed to change her mind on the subject he gave a slight nod, "Yes, today of all days is a good time for cut purses and thieves to roaming about. It's crowded to it makes it more difficult to chase after them. Not to mention there are plenty of targets that aren't paying near enough attention." It was a mess waiting to happen but he hoped that such occurances would be kept to a minimum, at least until after the parade was over and there was an obundance of soldiers that could deal with such people. "Hm?" He gave his clothing a glance, then nodded, "Yes, I am far from the thieving sort being a member of Oba's standing army." Not that it exactly meant the same thing as it used to what with the peace holding for long. He supposed that was why he liked the unit he served with so much, it took him to many places. That aside though he found himself starring at the giirl as she referred to herself as a 'Lady of Oba' which was a rather strange claim, wasn't it? Had she bumped into him harder then he'd thought and she'd addled her brain? That or perhaps she was a 'Lady of Oba' in the sense that she was some Oba nobleman's mistress? Hard to say, but he supposed that marrying foreign women was also a possibility these days as well. "I need to get going, I am to meet with the other soldiers to take part in the parade. If you wish you can follow me for a time?" He had to meet with the others after all but he couldn't very well leave her alone after her claims that she'd be safe near him because of his affliation with the army. Motioning for her to follow along after him he moved to head toward where he was supposed to meet with the other soldiers, wondering for an idle moment if Nuri would be there or if he was out chasing grand beasts instead.

Bushi - Post 3 Bushi gave a bright smile and a lot as took a couple steps to one side, allowing her to join him on his side of the little stall he had set up so that she could have a bit more room to herself. Not a lot given that on this side was Aatos, Profit, and Bushi himself, but it was a little better then getting constantly jostled by the crowd. As she asked him about if he'd sold much he gave a nod of his head and a rather pleased smile, "Yep! I got here early to make sure I'd be able to set up in a good area. The more likely one is to be seen the more customers they will get!" He didn't even mind that it had taken some doing to procure such a place. "I love festivals like this, everyone is in such a wonderful mood, often out with dates, and are very quick to buy presents for said date. They rarely even bother trying to negotiate prices because there is so much going on." It was days like today that he loved the most as there would be a lot of money to be had. He meant to make a good profit today, move a lot of the goods he had brought with him from his trip across the North, and lighten Aatos' packs a bit. Givng a smile he asked, "How have you been enjoying things so far, Sprite?" She wasn't from around here so it must be pretty new for her, making him wonder how she saw the festivities. For him it was a way to make a lot of money fast, for others it meant something else, and he couldn't help but to be curious what a visitor might be thinking.

EDATHE Post 1
Edathe ran a hand through her hair, the hot air in Oba near stifling. It was always so ungodly hot, she always felt like she was near melting. She thought about the notion of moving far away, running off to far off lands and falling in love with a foreigner, but she knew it wasn't meant to be... or at least not yet. Who knew what the future had in store for her.
As her mind wandered her feet took her deeper into the crowd. She wasn't actually paying attention to where she was going until she saw the back of a very familiar head. She nearly skipped forward, until she could wrap her arms around Nuri's shoulders. It had been so long she she had seen him. He almost never came home now. She swung her weight around him and grinned. "Nuri!

ORIN Post 1
Orin tugged at his shirt collar. He hated being dressed up. It was so stuffy and already wayyyy too hot outside. He could feel the sweat building up on his back already. He crossed his arms and pouted. Today was supposed to be fun, shouldn't fun mean wearing what he wanted to wear? He wondered where his mama even was, he knew she was supposed to be dancing soon, but still... he internally whined. She should be here with them.
Aeuri started to talk to the both of them and Orin cocked his head to the side. Higher up? It sounded like it would be cooler higher up, maybe even a breeze, and a better view. Orin whispered to his brother and sister, pretty sure that they weren't allowed to leave with their nanny watching. "We should find a better spot." he pointed to his nanny... like... away from her.

Naevius || Post 1
During all kinds of celebrations, there were always things that were expected of her because of her station. And every once in awhile, she would be able to sneak out and see things as they were truely happening, which was something she always enjoyed. Don't get her wrong, Naevius was truly grateful for everything she had in life, but the haze that clouded some nobles' eyes was something she never wanted to happen to her. It was why she liked being able to be amongst the crowds during festivals and celebrations, even if only for a little while. "Everyone seems so excited, which I guess they should be." The Princess and her handmaiden made their way through the crowd. Although she was dressed fairly nicely just in case she didn't get a chance to go back to the palace before getting called back to her duties, she didn't stand out too much.

Varinia || Post 1
Being around Naevius during festivals was always a little nerve-wracking for Varinia, not only because her safety and protection were her primary concern, but also because she wanted to make sure the Princess had an enjoyable time when she went out so Vari often felt quite a bit of pressure. As always, she kept a close distance to her charge and friend. She would occasionally adjust herself so that she'd be wedged between Naevius and someone who maybe wasn't paying attention or would be too close. "They almost always are for the Grand Procession. I remember it used to be a fun thing for my family even though it was often a sad time for us since my Father would usually be marching off to war. But now that it doesn't have to be in a time of war, I feel like more people will be able to actually celebrate and enjoy themselves." Varinia didn't talk about her father much, especially since his recent reappearance but she felt it important to note.

Dris'rynne - Post One
Show offs.
Even without a war looming on the horizon Oba still felt the need for a "Grand Procession" to showcase their brilliance. Dris'rynne curled her nose and snorted. Seemed like a lot of fluff and bluster for a nation most still hated. If left to her there wouldn't have been a procession at all, at least not a grand one, and all the funding used for the vast majority of the ornamental armor flashing all around her would have been used to feed the poor.
They sure were a prideful bunch. Dris'rynne sat atop several stacked barrels of pickled fish (thankfully packed tight so the smell wasn't horrendous), and watched as bodies milled around her. Her men were here somewhere; no doubt drunk and waiting for the royal family to shuffled their way through. She wouldn't take that joy away from them, but Dris'rynne still couldn't help thinking having her nails removed would have been better than sitting through the King's speech.
Still...she wasn't in a terrible mood. Dris'rynne had been oddly perky these past few weeks. Even now as she looked around with mild annoyance there was a quirk of a smile on her lips. It was hard not to feel the least bit of enjoyment with all of these festivities surrounding her.

Shesha - Post 3 Shesha gave a bit of a smirk, his free hand resting for a moment on his hip as he looked Aqio over before he said, "If I didn't know better I'd think that you were trying to stroke my ego, little fish. Not that I mind though, keep the compliments flowing." He was actually quite the fan of such things so he wasn't about to ward off compliments, instead seeming to feed off of them. At the mention of the staff looking good with him his smile only spread, "I have to agree, little fish, I am quite fond of it, as well as the power that comes with it. One day I am going to be a well known and well loved magician of the court." That was the plan at least. Tossing his wavy hair over his shoulder he turned and started forward, "Come along then, little fish. I mean to enjoy the festival to its fullest since I am on vacation." While he didn't mind all of the magical training that he was getting from his teacher he found the man to be rather grating, as such he was glad for this period of rest. "I think we should have some fun, shop around a bit, find something good to eat, and make sure we get the best possible spot for not only the parade but the King's Speech as well." He told Aqio, giving a pause as he turned around, lifting a hand to poke the Matorian in the nose before he said, "You. Behave yourself today, last time you were up to no good and today isn't a good day for such play. Not when the entire Oban Army is going to be present." With that he turned and was once more leading the way. While he doubted that the little fish would obey him he wanted to at least warn him once so that he could say 'I told you so' later.

Incanthis - Post 3 Incanthis gave a humming sound, a thoughtful look on his face, before he said, "I... am not sure... It took ever ounce of courage that I have in me to actually leave the house and go forth like this. It's a bit... scary, but exciting." His voice was hushed, his silver eyes glancing from side to side, seeking out any dangers that might be out there. He'd like to believe that it would be alright though, that there was too much going on with the festival for anyone to want to start any trouble. Surely given that it was supposed to be a fun time he shouldn't have to worry, right? That was his hope at least. "If you would like to lead the way, Abie? I will follow your lead and we can discover everything that there is to see together." He was willing to follow the younger man's lead feeling that he would lead them to something fun. If he let Abie take the lead it meant that he would be able to keep an eye out for any potential threats. His magic wasn't exactly the best when it came to battles he would still do his best, especially if it meant keeping his friend safe.

Bisera - Post 3 The blond seemed to think on the question for a moment, sort of bouncing in place before he said, "Well, I think that it would be fun to play some games for sure! I'd also like to go shopping since it seems that there are a lot of merchants on hand since so many people have gathered." He told Xarnith as he lead him along, "I don't want risk missing the parade though, so maybe we aught to peek in there first? The parade sounds like it's going to be something special so we definitely have to see it!" The pulling stopped abruptly, leaving Xarntih to possibly bump into him, before he starred at the gathering soldiers who seemed to all be dressed rather nicely, "Wow..." He'd never seen the army before now, having been tucked far away in Mez during the war times, but he could see why they were said to be so intimidating. They were strong though, handsome as well, and it made him want nothing more then to find himself a nice spot where he could settle down and sketch the lot of them. Bisera's fingers set to twitching a little bit, the way that they did when he felt the urge to work, but he did his best to push the compulsion aside. Instead he looked up at Xarnith and said, "They look quite amazing, huh?"

Teslaron Post: 1"No. Nooo! Stoppit, don't touch me! Uuugh! Teslaron!" Came the high-pitched whining of the thirteen-year-old girl at his side, as she batted away his playful attempts at holding her hand. Neora retracted her appendages to herself with a squawk, crossing her arms and tucking her palms to either side of her not wholly small breasts. She shot the Water man an indignant huff. "I don't want anyone to think you're my boyfriend or anything! I don't need to be looked after, anymore! I'm a teenager!" She asserted with a crisp nod.
Tes tried to remain sagely neutral throughout the course of her antics, but it was hard not to grin at his younger sister, concerned about 'boys' as she was. "Neo, Neo, Neo," he cooed, as he draped in arm across her shoulder in favor of trying to claim her hidden hand again. "I'm pretty sure not a soul would believe me if I said you were my girlfriend. Prestigious, young sunspot children don't have Matori boyfriends."
She squinted warily at him, posture relaxing a touch. Her next words were nearly lost to the crowds and excitement around them. "You could," she muttered, as her dark eyes fell to the sandy earth at her feet. "You know you could."
"Well, if you squeal just a touch louder, I'll probably be arrested for assault and won't get the chance."
His grin was answered by the flush of her face and the rodenty puff of her cheeks. She gave a quiet, "Hrumph!" Then scuttled quickly through the throng of people to catch of with their older brother several paces ahead. Once at Oridan's side, she shot a pink raspberry over her shoulder. Tes returned the gesture.
Ah, parades were fun. Even in years past, Tes didn't particularly mind them. Maybe the meaning had never been exactly sweet (especially for a little Matori slave boy), but it was exciting enough and tradition, besides. So even if many things had changed over the waning years, there didn't seem any great reason for this one to. He hummed softly as he walked, hands stuffed in his pockets and gaze focused on not knocking into anyone larger than him.
Until a swatch of stark white entered the corner of his vision. Dris'rynne's hair.
Tes beamed when he spotted the Shifter woman perched out of the way of the crowds on an array of crates. He slid over to her with all the toothy intent of a grinning perzi. "So..." He rested his elbows on the edge of her crate and quirked her a grin. "What's a pretty thing like you doing sitting alone without a drink in her hand? Y'know, if you were up for it, you and I could get together and fix that up right now." He tipped sidelong and came in close, almost close enough to touch his nose to the tip of her before deciding better of it. "Hey there, Sky Blossom."

Aeuri Post 2Aeuri narrowed his eyes back toward his brother, knowing exactly what his more rebellious brother was suggesting. To leave their nanny and explore in the masses. It would upset his mother, but he would also get to actually see his mother and father as they passed. Shifting a bit he pursed his lips and glanced to both Orin and Nasuri. "Wont we get in trouble though? We aren't suppose to wander..." He looked worried, but curious, and glanced to both of his siblings for further instruction.
