Oba For generations, the Obans hosted grand progressions of their Army before they marched to war. This great celebration was meant to showcase their strength and allow the citizens to send blessings before the war. Now, with the mentality of the Oban nation changing, the progression has as well. Instead of marching only for war, every year the Obans host the progression to show off their strength and culture. Citizens are encouraged to join the progression to show off the culture, and even the royal family is part of the parade. It all ends at the Palace, where the King gives a speech to the nation.
Sulburi
Oba, one of the most powerful nations with the greatest of armies, the largest population, and the towering cities. Lately, the Obans have been slowly adapting to the idea of open borders, their nobility working hard to ensure everyone welcomed the outsiders and stuck to the new laws of the lands. Although many things were changing, the pride of the nation would forever stay the same.
That was why the annual Grand Procession was one of the year's grandest of events.
The pathways of the great city of Sulburi were full of bodies as Obans and foreigners wandered and waited. Everyone made their way to the city to view the parade, enjoying both the procession as well as the festival booths and wares in the many alleyways. Even if the parade and speech only lasted for a few hours, the celebration would last well into the night.
There still was time as the army, dancers, musicians, and entertainers settled into their order, located in the back of the Palace. They would circle around the city before ended in front of the Palace, where the royal family would give a speech on the state of the nation. A final call was made to those as part of the parade, and the many citizens and visitors alike were warned that the parade would begin shortly. For now, they only needed to wait a little longer.

While Eziya felt a little bad about not going home to visit her mother for the festivals, she was thrilled to be in Oba. She'd never really seen another type of festival before and getting to see this large parade was something she could hardly keep still about. Today she was simply going to have fun and not worry about trying to peddle her healing wares or any other sort of job. She'd just have to make sure Serr stayed out of trouble as well.
"This is all so exciting! We've got to get a good spot so we can see everything!" Eziya said, bouncing on her heels as she continued to drag her favorite leaf along beside her.

Serr post one
She wouldn't need to try very hard to keep him out of anything. Thoroughly chastened by his thwarted attempt at stealth during the tournament, Serr had temporarily lost most of his interest in troublemaking out of sheer shame. He had been caught. And not only had he been caught, but he had been caught by some bard with a kid. That was the last time he'd steal something from a mother. They were fast. Tenacious too.
He let himself smile at Eziya's enthusiasm, the expression barely present not because he wasn't happy, but because he didn't often allow his emotions free rein in public.
"We could go up," he suggested, gesturing with the hand she wasn't holding. Although ledges and ladders might be precarious, no one would be able to block their view either.

Shesha - Post 1
Shesha gave himself one last look in mirror, turning his head from side to side, checking to make sure that his hair was all neatly tied back and in place and his make up perfect. Good, good, he wanted to look his absolute best today since it was a day in which they were all going to be celebrating how marvelous the Oban people were. He couldn't allow even a hair to be out of place he thought to himself. He took a step back from the mirror, smoothing his hands over the beautiful fabric of his robes, then nodded, "I'm looking good." He purred at his reflection before he gave himself a little wink and a blown kiss before he headed out the door.
He'd leave behind his magical training for the day but he meant to bring along his magical staff, taking it in hand from where it leaned against the wall next to the door to the outside. He wanted to keep it with him since it was a symbol of his magical prowess as well as a useful club in case anyone with dirty hands got too close to him. The one downside to a festival like this being that he would have to deal with everyone, not just those of noble birth that he preferred to rub elbows with. No matter he'd just have to defend himself against dirty hands and annoying beggars... though if he were lucky Aqio would do that for him.
As he stepped out into the sun he lifted his free hand, shielding his eyes from the bright light for a moment, then sighed, "Mmm, I wonder if the little fish will be where we are to meet? He'd best not be late." If he were late then it would be that much more difficult to find him in the crowd he thought to himself as he headed toward where they were to be meeting. He hoped to find him quickly as he wanted to find a good spot in which they could watch the parade together before the higher ups made their speech.

Saraf - Post 1
Saraf had made sure that he was looking as nice as possible, even if that meant putting in a little more effort then he normal bothered to put in. He wasn't one for frivolous dressing up, but his mother had insisted that he look nice. His version of nice being the dress clothing given to him by the army that marked his rank within it. That he felt was nice enough and fitting for the setting. It was a good day after all, and he was rather looking forward to the king's speech since he found it ever interesting to hear about the state of their nation. While there were many steps taking by those in power that he didn't agree with he had to admit that the peace wasn't... bad. A touch on the boring side, but not bad per say.
Once he was ready he'd gone to join his mother, escorting her to where a gaggle of her friends were gathered, fleeing the moment that he could. His mother had recently mentioned her desire to see him married and to have grandchildren so he wasn't sticking around. Especially given that those very friends were the ones that had daughters his mother was threatening to introduce him to. No thank you he thought to himself, pushing an a stray dread lock behind his ear before he headed on his way to find himself a good spot to watch everything.
There were a lot of people gathered today for the festivities both those of Oban descent and those who were foreigners. He gave all of them a quick once over as he went, idly glancing toward the foreheads of those of Shifter origin. He knew that 'he' wouldn't be there, but it was always worth a check.

Bushi - Post 1
Now this was a crowd that he rather liked the look of! So many people that he couldn't help but to feel excited, hoping that a good number of them were going to be looking to buy from a 'humble' merchant such as himself. Bushi had made sure to seek out a good spot early, as in days early, so that he would be able to both enjoy the parade and hopefully draw in customers. He was dressed nicely enough, or at least his version of nice which doubled as comfortable, and he was currently leaning against his massive, rust colored bushi named Aatos.
"Alright Aatos, Profit, with this many people around we want to be sure to look good and draw in many customers!" He told the pair of beasts that helped him in the merchant game. Aatos merely starred at Bushi, blinking slowly at him, which Profit gave a cheerful chirp and started to dance around on Aatos's shell. It was definitely the bright blue, half grown kinfa that really brought in customers, but he liked to include Aatos when it came to encouraging them, not wanting him to feel left out.
Once he felt both beasts were sufficiently 'encouraged' he turned back to the crowd, scanning it for anyone that he might know... looking for a certain cook in particular.

Bisera - Post 1
A festival! It was something rather exciting for Bisera though a touch sad at the same time. He was rather looking forward to the parade that he'd heard a lot of people talking about recently, though at the same time he found himself thinking of the festival that would likely be going on back home as well. This was actually the first time that he would be missing it! Before he'd always gone with his family even though it took them dragging both his father and Bisera himself away from their work and out of the house. It had been worth it though as it was so much fun!
He could only assume that this one would be just as good, complete with a parade which was something that he'd never gotten to see before. Especially not on the scale that he was told this one was going to be. In fact in his excitement the blond had ended up doing what he always did, which was running on ahead, wanting to get a good look at what was going on. Him running ahead meant that he was leaving others, Xarnith in particular, behind. Something that the poor warrior was likely used to by now...

Incanthis - Post 1
Incanthis was attempting to be brave today... or at least his version of brave which included a nice cloak with a hood on it. It would allow him to leave the house, allowing him to enjoy the festival, without having to worry about his old master finding him. That was the plan at least. He took in a deep breath, one that he held for a moment, before he looked down at the huffy emerald colored beast at his feet and said, "Alright, Junior... I think that I'm ready." At least he was as ready as he would ever be. This was really a rather intimidating thing, leaving the house to actually go out into the crowd that was gathering... but he really wanted to see the festival. He heard that there was going to be a grand parade and it was something that sounded very interesting.
He took a couple steps outside, his heart racing a mile a minute as he did so, and he looked at Junior again, "Phew... I did it!" Just a couples steps but he'd done so on his own. He doubted very highly he'd of been able to make it the whole way on his own but luckily he wasn't going alone. Not only did he have Junior at his side but he would actually be going with Abie. It would have taken more strength then the healer had within him to actually make the trek on his own but with his friend at his side he felt... stronger. Here was to hoping that all went well and that they would be able to enjoy the festival without incident.
The matori male sat on the fence where he was to meet Shesha. He had a brand new outfit, as did his brother, given to them just because it was a festival day. His leggings were cut out in ovals on the sides, chains criss-crossing over his hips held up his veil skirt as his mid-section was exposed, a veil shirt gently drapped over his torso exposing his shoulders. His usual braid was decorated with chains as a set of beaded feathers dangled from it. His hair was up in a loose braid a series of ribbons weaved throughout it. His feet were covered in slippers.
He sat there with his legs crossed. Trying to look above the crowd to see where Shesha went. He hummed softly...

Abie- Post 1
The youth was watching Incanthis from the shadow of the nearby pillar. There they were outside of the Mentor's manor...he smiled. Eyes glittering as he walked forward. Laqui dashed out before him chirping at their sibling excited. Abie, like his brother and even Incanthis, had been given a new outfit for the festival. Though, Incanthis' was centered around the cloak and hood Abie admired him wearing.
Abie was currently shirtless, a new kimono top was loosely flowing around his torso lightweight chains linked the hem of the top to loop around his neck, he had oval shaped cut-outs in his new leggings as sandals clad his feet. He walked up to Incanthis, offering his arm. "Let's go...Mentor said there was a lot to do while watching the parade..."
She was a nervous bundle of energy. Since the war had ended years ago and the Matori were freed the lady had become more willing to let Arima wander outside of their home. While fears of black market and other dangers had kept her inside longer than most now as peace was paraded through the streets Arima found her 'mother' more eager to present her Matori daughter. While others may not be fully accepting of an Oban Noble displaying her unique Matori duaghter, Arima was still touched. The Lady cared so much about her that she cared not about what others believed. In her eyes Arima was more noble than the best of true blooded Obans.
So despite being nervous and shy the girl had started to keep her chin up more and more. For her mother's sake she could endure the stares and the whispered gossip. She's strange even for their kind....thinks she's high and mighty...what a crazy family... Whispers on the wind always caught her ears and the girl flushed lightly. Perhaps it was best if she excused herself for the time being, "Mother...I'll be heading out now. I hear the snacks are delicious, shall I grab you something?"
Arima kept her head up even as her body itched to flee away from the gaggle of women. Silks fluttered in the breeze as she turned around the corner and unknowingly brushed against an Oban male. She was too busy trying to calm her poor heart that was racing in her chest. It was scary thinking about how to put up with those women! "I'll take a sword over their tongues any day." Still not realizing that she had crashed another person's ideal spot Arima took a few more steps before pausing as she placed a hand over her chest. For her mother she could try to endure, but this was a lot! But it was nice...seeing all the people out and about. Almost like a gathering from one of her storybooks...she had never seen so many of these other races before. Cheeks flushed with new excitement Arima leaned forward as a wind whisked through the crowd knocking back her silk hood and revealing a mess of curly white hair.

Phaedra Post 1
This was her first time seeing a festival that wasn't from her own region. At first she thought about not going since she wasn't from the area but her curiosity got the best of her. Phae wanted to know how the festivities were in Oba. Of course she had hoped that Mano and Kyrian would be around as well. For now, however, she didn't see any sign of them. It made her wonder if perhaps they stayed inside.
As she took in everything around her Phaedra quickly became sucked into the sheer happiness of everyone. Wearing a grin she walked with the crowd, enjoying the sounds and general feeling. Before she could get too far another thought came to mind. Would Bushi be here? Of course he was from the area. So where could the leaf woman find her bear? Turning her green eyes to the faces in the crowd she started to search for one man in particular.
The warrior expected Bisera to run off. So, he merely sighed when the male did run off. Glancing to Fractis on his shoulder he nodded to their smaller wind male companion. "Track him please." He smiled as the kitten took off. Xarnith had fixed bells to the kitten's collar. They were a certain tune that Xarn had come to find that was rare among bells. He supposed one of them was defected but that allowed him to track his pet easily. He weaved his way through as Fractis caught up to Bisera.
He came up to Bisera's side, linking arms with him. "Fractis is getting better at tracking you..." he praised the kitten. Fractis sat there preening.

Shesha - Post 2
The look on Shesha's face was one of pure delight as he saw Aqio was where they had agreed to meet, "Ah! Good, good, I am glad to see that you're here on time, little fish!" He said, doing his best not to look too excited, not wanting to risk it. He had to look at all time as though he were in control of his emotions and serene. It was hard to do during a time like this as he wanted nothing more then to run off like a foolish prentice to see the parade... not as though he'd ever allowed himself to do such a thing. Nobody wanted a fool to serve them, especially not anyone of noble birth.
Lifting his free hand he leaned in closer to Aqio, brushing back a lock of his hair, before he nodded, "You're looking nice today, all dressed up, I'm a little impressed." He hadn't expected a member of the Matori to dress up so nicely for the Obans after all, but it was nice to see. One had to be respectful during these sorts of events or else they risked drawing unwanted attention from the wrong sorts. Given that wasn't on Shesha's agenda he couldn't be bothered with such things.
"Come along then, little fish, I want to find a nice spot in which we can enjoy the parade."

Incanthis - Post 2
As Laqui can rushing over to them, chirping up a storm, Incanthis turned to glance his way before giving a gentle smile, "Laqui, there you are... and Abie?" He lifted his silver gaze to look around, smiling as he spotted the one he was looking for. He was looking quite fancy, wasn't he? Something that caused the Shifter to smile before he said, "Look at you, all cleaned up! You're going to be overwhelmed with fans of all sorts if people see you like that."
As he mentioned that there was a lot to do while watching the parade he gave a nod, taking Abie's arm and said, "Let's do our best to have some fun then." Even if he was still nervous he had his friend and their pair of snaptrotters to help keep an eye out, things should be alright! He'd feel a little better if Junior and Laqui were a little bigger but that was just the state of things, they were cute little whelps and would get bigger and more intimidating with time.
As they started to move Junior gave a little chirp before he was quick to get on the opposite side of Incanthis as Abie, keeping him flanked, as they moved toward the festivities.
