Aselia post 11
The young mystic tensed further at the sight of weapons glinting in the sun. The feeling of vulnerability after having been shot wasn't something she was comfortable with. Gripping the arrow in her hand a little tighter her antenna twitched as she tried to remain more aware of the people around her. "I could care less now, you weren't here. That old blue hag, forbid me from coming here when all I did was come to see the suruhama festival." Swinging the arrow out and using the object to point off in a general direction she had last seen Freya. "Eshe even gave permission for me to travel and explore. I figured with Kadriye and Eshe there to take care of the sacred things I would be free from obligation for a little while. I was shot out here, just because I wanted to show them I am not something they can walk over. Crystal crawlers should know that we have rights!" Aselia's cheeks puffed up in anger. Of all people Rishima should understand the emotions of losing Aisha to others, in her opinion anyway.
"How can I?." Aselia snapped, tendrils of flames crept along the shaft of the arrow in her hand. "I'm not a puppy who should seek you out just because I want to know something. I'm a warrior!" Aselia took a step back towards the group of sisters behind her. Eyes narrowing on Rishima. "It's not like you ever sought me out when I was old enough to finally explore Aisha's roots. I was the one to come to you first." Emotions boiled under the surface she struggled to maintain, her fists shook with anger, and pain. Knowing she was different and yet the same made it worse. She remembered the voices and whispers of those who thought her unnatural. "So why change your mind and help me now? Now when you fear for them!? Them over me?" Aselia took another step back and shook her head. No, these sisters had sought her out, enjoyed her company and wanted her with them. Unlike the way she felt around the distant Eshe and Kadriye, unlike how she felt now. As if the only reason he was reaching out was to stop some terrible thing. But was it so bad? She wanted more than anything to unite her fellow sisters and bring back the powerful traditions of her people, and in part they were. Only in two different factions who opposed one another.

Xariy Post 10Making her way to the front lines, Xariy was honestly a bit nervous about the proximity the opposing faction. She had honestly hoped for a peaceful solution to the problem, but the Alkidike women were ready for a fight. The earthlings were too in a way. Yes, they were fighting for their homes, but it seemed to be more than that. Some simply wanted to teach the Alkidike a lesson. She could definitely see the frustration the Alkidike would have over the earthlings being everywhere, but they could just as easily make settlements and explore without conquering, couldn't they? Or perhaps they really did just want to conquer and didn't care about the deaths. Either way it had come to this showdown and neither side wanted to back off. Kani Post 11 "As long as you're sure this is what you want," she replied, nervously playing with a strand of her hair. "I may not be the best shaman yet, but I promise I will keep you safe," she continued, shifting uncomfortably as they drew closer to where the front lines were. Ubeli'ae give them strength. They needed it now more than ever. She just hoped they would all make it out okay, though that was a long shot. There was no talking it out now, only battle.

Araie Post 10Had to edit the whole post because I missed Eziya. Whoops.Araie looked at Dezani, her expression pained. Her first instinct was to argue with him. He shouldn't be going out to the front lines by himself. They should be going together so she could watch his back and make sure that he was safe. He shouldn't just leave her there. What would she do if something happened to him...shaking her head, Araie sighed. No, she couldn't keep him back because of her worry. He was a fighter, and a good one. She would have to have faith in his abilities. Besides, some people needed to stay back and defend the healers if something went wrong. "Alright. Stay safe and come back to me in one piece, okay? I can't lose you after finally getting you back," Araie muttered as she leaned up to kiss the edge of Dezani's lips. As Eziya approached her, she hugged her old friend as she felt someone tug on her dress. She glanced down at the hybrid child before she finally registered her friends words. "What?? No! Of course he's not mine! Not that I don't want any, but it's not like anybody is exactly lining up to have children with me!" Araie huffed before she turned and kneeled down in front of the child in front of her, a smile on her face. "Hey there. Are you here by yourself?" The child had spoken with great confidence for one so young, so she figured it would be best to treat him as such. She had a feeling he wouldn't appreciate being spoken down to like a lot of people tended to act towards children.

Kadriye post 8 Alkidike front linesQuite thoroughly disgusted with the dismissal and treatment of her sisters by the Earthling leaders Kadriye had made up her mind to repay the sentiment in kind. She and her kin would fight their tribemates but her strength and what healing she knew was for sisters, pure or hybrid, only. If they were to be partially sidelined allies, used only as a buffer zone for the other armies then she could be just as halfhearted in her efforts for them. The resentment also stirred stronger in her the urge to unite all tribes on Aisha but now was not the time for such talk if that dream was ever to become reality. Now was the time for the novice mystic to offer those sisters willing a blessing and the placement of a spell upon their skin to make their strikes stronger, their bows draw further back or their magic flare more violently. Kadriye was here for her sisters as a mystic ought to be, offering herself and the assurance that the great mother believed in their cause. At least she felt like Aisha hadn't been asking her to stay when she'd last tried to communicate before leaving for this journey. "Briella I'll be sticking close to you for most of the fight." Qi's presence in fights seemed to quicken Kadriye's feet and allowed her to step swiftly on the battlefield. This let her cast from a close range or use her sacred spear as proper weapon and not just a tool to channel magic down occasionally. Having recovered a bit more in the last hour Qi was now seated upon Kadriye's shoulder but ready to jump into the air at a moment's notice. Shukri post 4 Alkidike front lines"Maya, excuse me, Maya where are you?" It was damned impossible to find a single Alkidike in the throng of tall similar looking alkidike women and their varying markings did nothing to help Shukri. He'd catch a glimpse of something but then it was wrong or he'd find himself feeling dizzy trying to fixate on single person while dozens of people moved about . All Shukri wanted was to assure himself that Maya was okay before he slipped off into the back lines to help in whatever non combat role was needed. Tahira post 5 Sauti campThere was no kicking the hybrid Alkidike away from the wind tribe warriors. Tahira, though still a prentice had her old practice blades and she could fight here besides her mother's people if she wanted to. That she'd shown up to the blockade amongst a group of Oban and Matori warriors hadn't hurt her case any. Tahira could handle the odd suspicious look and frown thrown her way, she'd show them she belonged here just as much as they did.

Eziya Post 11"It was just a question," Eziya chuckled, hugging her friend tightly before motioning to her small healer's tent. She was sure everyone was preparing for the battle, and while she did worry about Serr out doing his ambush she had her own problems to deal with as well. If things went badly there would be people filling into her tents in need of assistance and she would have to be ready for it. "We should prepare for the upcoming battle. The front line will need all the help it can get. Especially if the Alkidike have some sort of surprise they plan on revealing."She hoped everything was already set and there would be no surprises, but one could never be too sure. Dezani Post 11Surprised by the sudden actions Araie had done, it took him a moment to respond to the woman. He hadn't expected what she had done, and they would definitely have to discuss it further later. "I promise to be safe and come back. You have to promise to be safe as well though," he called to her as he turned to walk away towards the front line, nervous to head out. At least he would have Raiha at his side. The small kinfa squawked and fluttered around him, showing she was ready to do whatever he asked. While he couldn't ride her yet, she was still going to be very useful in the battle to come.

Zumei Post 10
While she wasn't exactly up near the front lines, Zumei was nervous nonetheless. The Alkidike were here, and she was about to potentially have her first battle. The main fighters were up front, but she stayed back a bit. She wasn't a seasoned fighter and she wasn't going to pretend she was, but she didn't want to sit back near the healer tents. She would protect her home with everything she had if she needed to and no Alkidike was going to stop her from doing that.

Saraf Post 9As the too cheerful for his tastes Shifter continued to talk, seeming to completely brush off Saraf's harsh words, he found himself with the desire to give the kid a swift kick in the backside. That desire was gone in an instant though as his mind seemed to be absorbed in white hot anger as the kid announced who he was. Instantly Saraf knew not only the name but who the Shifter was, one of those thieves that had ripped off his family before running off behind his mother's back. He took a half step forward, about to grab the kid by his braid... but never got the chance as Kalliope snatched up his prize. Likely a good thing though, it kept him from causing an incident between the Obans and the Shifters, not something that he should be doing at the moment when they were already face to face with the ones who were their enemies. Taking a step back he turned toward the others, shook himself free of the anger gripping him, and moved to follow. If everyone else was wanting to move to a better position to prepare for what felt like the inevitable start to the battle then he would do the same. He could catch up with that brat later and, Gods and Goddesses willing, he'd find his brother as well. A two for one deal would be rather nice, not to mention it would make the trip all the way to this rocky death trap called Sauti worth it. That sort of revenge could come later, before that he needed to deal with the Alkidike and their hag of a leader.

Lumikani Post 11 Alkidike Extremist Camp
Lumikani felt herself tense, the thrill of what was to come filling her body. This must have been the feeling of bloodlust, the anxiety and excitement battling within and pushing her to feel stronger, faster, and smarter. She gripped her borrowed blades tighter, the flimsy items nothing to be excited about as they were simple spares from elder sisters. However, they would keep her safe despite her not knowing how to use them. All she had to do was hold tight and swing faster than the Earthling in front of her.
It was then she finally got Aselia's story, and she looked at the mystic with contemplative ears. Why hadn't Eshe spoken up about the travels, told everyone that she knew why Aselia was moving and that it was approved? It most likely would have saved a lot of confusion and gross assumptions from both sides.
Why was no one listening? Lumikani decided she would trust the young mystic, even over the Matron. At least she knew what was going on with Aselia in a small form, and so she walked closer and kept to her side. She would give her life for the mystic, the one blessed by Aisha, as was her duty as a sister.
They had every right to enter these lands, it should be the Earthlings begging for access. If the mystic wanted to see some festival, then she should get to see a festival - especially when others were also on that side. Lumikani said no words, but her sharp frown and narrowed eyes were enough to show she was tired of all this talk and ready for some sort of action.

Amarone Post 11 Healer's Tents
Amarone began to gather supplies and stack them, hoping that the fighting wouldn't make it this far back. She started first with cloths and bandages, moving them around to each bed so they would have a steady supply. She then adjusted said beds so that they would be easy to throw someone on, before looking toward the head healer for guidance.
Seeing the Wind girl once more, she sent her a smile.
"I almost wish we had a little chaos, this sitting and waiting is what is getting me the most. I love moving and doing things, having my hands busy even. I don't wish for people to be hurt, but I wish this tension would just be done!"

Eije Post 10
Returning the smile with one of her own, she quickly prepared her own blades, “Sounds like a plan! I’ll cover your back.” Hearing the slow swell of commotion, there was an excited tension in the air. Eije was nearly excited to be facing her first foes, with undernotes of terror. Facing the Amazonian women would be a feat in and of itself, but with her new friend having her back, she felt like she could face anything.
“Be prepared for anything, Zumei, who knows what’s going to happen.” They were relatively close to the action, to have their weapons drawn, but far enough to be safe… as safe as you could be without being at the healer tents. The Alkidikes weren’t going to get their way though, they would see to that!

Niadra - Post Nine She nodded and took Wyome's hand. "Don't let go, with all these people around it would be super easy to get lost." and the last thing that she wanted to do was loose Wyome. That could prove very dangerous for the girl at this time.
Finally they made it to a tent where the man in charge was of the leaf tribe. "Two more hands reporting to help." she said with a smile. The tent was far back enough that they wouldn't get the worst injuries, but if this war was as bad as the last then they would get some people for sure. Lasarra - Post Ten He was right, which annoyed her even more. She was sure that there was a good amount of sisters who were fighting just because a lot of others were. "At least some of them are on our side." she said as she nodded in the direction of the sisters that stood with them. She wanted to know if her mother was there, or her once best friend Bhima. She hadn't seen either in so long and hoped they stood with the earthlings.
People moved as the pair walked by, they had their own little army of animals. She wondered where her sister was, hopefully not anywhere she could get super hurt. "I don't think so. They don't seem like they really want to talk. They are giving us a chance to give them the land, when they realize it isn't going to happen they will attack." Briella - Post SevenShe nodded at her girlfriend and squeezed her hand. Kadriye had been so busy, and although she wasn't happy that Kadriye was out here in dangers way she was pleased that her girlfriend was there. It helped boost the moral of their people, and reinforced the belief that they were doing the right thing.
"If we get separated Amadi will go looking for you. Ilyra, Tahigwa will you fight by our side as well?" she asked the pair. She knew that both of them were ready to fight, and would rather not loose sight of her daughter this time around. Ilyra - Post EightIlyra nodded and looked over at Tahigwa. "Yes?" she said tentatively answering for the both of them. She didn't want to be separated from either her mother or her girlfriend, so she hopped that Tahigwa would agree to stay with the group. If not she would follow her though, make sure that no harm came to her girlfriend. At least her mother had Kadriye.
Zuri - Post NineAs she walked towards the front lines she prayed she wouldn't meet with her exhusband. She was so into her thoughts that she almost didn't notice Zumei standing in front of her. "I'm sorry." she said as she stopped right before running into the girl. "A lot on my mind, though I'm sure I'm not the only one." This girl was from the wind tribe, so it was her lands that were being threatened so. She could only imagine how hard this would be for the wind tribe, they were the ones with the most at stake. Eleina - Post NineShe nodded at Sebastian and followed him and Ichil into the crowd. "Fight well." she told them both over the noise of the crowd. She knew that there would be injuries today, and most likely deaths, but she hoped that it would be no one that she knew. Her people were strong, both of them, and she was sure they would get through this.

serr post ten
He tried to keep his attention on the Alkidike, but in the end it wandered between the women and the members of his own group in equal measure. Serr definitely felt more sure of which way he was meant to turn his blades when he was around Eziya. With all of these disreputable sorts surrounding him on all sides, he couldn't help feeling he should disable them too, just so none would threaten him when he wasn't paying attention.
He straightened when Talin gave his signal, temporarily focused once more. It would be good to be moving again.

Araie Post 11Araie watched as Dezani left, another goodbye dying on her lips. No, she wouldn't say goodbye. That made it feel like their parting was permanent, and she knew it wouldn't be. Instead, she turned to Eziya. "Alright, how about we get this little one somewhere safe and sound? I don't want anything bad to happen to him, and I feel like he'll be safest with the healers. At least for the moment."

Aseara - Post #11Aseara didn’t really want there to be even just a little chaos. It wouldn’t take much to send the whole place into great chaos with a few words or actions.
“I’m more of the waiting kind.” Aseara had friends she didn’t want to see tangled into the chaos, Nuri was a soldier and he was on the front lines. “What do you do?” A change of subject, but Aseara was curious to see if the girl would be a fighter at any point in her life or if she would always stay back. Plus, it was always a good thing to know those you worked with right?

Shalvesta: Post 7 The leaf man seemed just as nervous as she was, at first - but seemed to steel himself as he spoke, drawing back in and smoothing out what uncertainties he let show on the surface. Some might see his answer of 'I think so' as weak - a non-answer rather than the wholehearted 'of course!' that was a good sign of morale. But Shal felt his answer was, if nothing else, honest. Wasn't it better to be realistic than to run into battle with a bloated head?
Tilting her head, the Oban pushed aside any dwelling thoughts about how, with the Alkidike hoard on the rampage, many around her seemed to forget that Obans were mistrusted. As Cyn continued to speak, Shalvesta thought back to the one Alkidike she'd met - Vollerei - and shook her head. Maybe her distrust was more for Obans than other races, and true the woman hadn't attempted to harm Shalvesta - but the Oban also had little faith that the Alkidike would sit and chat with those they wishes to usurp. Little did Shalvesta know, Vollerei wasn't one of the attacking Alkidike. "I don't know if they'll even give us a chance - they've already come all this way. I doubt they'll turn around and sneak off now." Through the crowd ahead, Shal thought someone might already be talking with the Alkidike- but she couldn't hear. She did, however, stay tensed and ready to jump into battle if it suddenly broke out.Cerith: Post 8 Cerith frowned, disagreeing with his confidence. Finally, when assured her fear was misplaced, Cerith sighed and raised her hand to scratch at the beast's scaled skin, pausing in her fretting thoughts to rub the crown of Oltia's head, between her eyes. Maybe, if there wasn't a battle about to break out, Cerith would have allowed herself the pleasure of doting on the beast, now that she had some faith that it wouldn't remove her hand for it. Not too far off, sounds of increasing hostility - raised voices and the telltale hiss of swords sliding from sheaths - alerted her, and she drew her hand from the snaptrotter entirely, shaking her head. "These people didn't push the Obans out though - the Obans retreated when called by the king. I don't know if these people will be so obliging." Cerith finally rose her gaze to Mynshaka's, lips drawn into a quirked smile. "Just be careful, out there. We have to watch eachother's back, right?"
