Ruelash (Post 11)
Ruelash danced around kaalnia, dodging and slicing with glee. This was a pretty good fight in his opinion – any single one of her spear attacks could have killed him pretty quickly, but he'd managed to dodge them. Some of them were even very close dodges, where her spear came mere fingernail lengths from his head or heart – his favorite kind. Better, he had a few nasty cuts and scratches and bruises from her.
Yes. A good fight.
As the old Alkidike lady (who was extraordinarily badass!) shouted something, Ruelash saw, to his dismay, that this had distracted the red-marked lady. ”Oi!” he snarled, consternated, ”Eyes over 'ere!” he attacked her, aiming to stab her pretty badly...
Kaalnia (Post 9)
Ruelash danced around her, dodging her strikes with disturbing ease. Was he, in fact, actually a shadow? Could she even catch him? Kaalnia pressed on still, not tiring or failing in her fight. This was, after all, Kaalnia, possessed of indefatigable energy beyond what she ought to have, an obnoxiously energetic woman in normal times. Now, her energy was turned towards this man, and to knock him off once and for all.
She heard the Matron's voice over the screams and the thinning crowd and scowled at her, absolutely no respect in her eyes. That harpy. Not only was she calling Kaalnia weak, but she was calling her daughter weak, and generally being an a**. Frankly, she was toxic.
Kaalnia's attention was brought racheting back to the moment as Ruelash's blade stabbed deep into her. Oddly enough, that was the opening she had needed: with a scream of rage and pain, she slammed her fist right into his stunned face, and followed up his surprised stagger back with a jab of her spear. This time, right as the battle came to a close, she hit home...

Kiunyki (Post 9) Kiunyki looked at the mystic and wasn't sure how she felt. There was nothing that screamed that she must protect this woman, certainly nothing as strong as her desire to protect her mother. The Matron's words were inspiring, but they also made Kiunyki nervous – would she prove her right or wrong? Would she shame herself? Had she already shamed herself? The press of bodies threatened to drag her away from Lumikani and the mystic, and further away from her mother, and she resisted as long as she could.
In the end though, startled (and relieved) by the ceasefire, Kiki found herself swept away – and with a surprisingly good view of a mysterious series of specks in the distance, approaching rapidly. She gripped her stick tightly, trying to get a better look: what was this?

Niadra - Post 15 She smiled at Wyome. If only there were more people like her in the world. Niadra wrapped up the man and stood, realizing that something had changed. Although there were still bodies inside the tent the clamor of battle suddenly went silent. Did that mean that the fight was over?
Suddenly someone came in the tent, telling them that the fighting had stopped but that someone was coming! Niadra looked at Wyome and the head healer. He nodded, "You two may go. I'll stay in here. Don't stray far though, I'll call if I need you." Niadra nodded.
"Come on Wyome. Let's go see what's happening."

Nuri Post 21 Oban War Camp, Front Lines
As the cries for a break in fighting raised up, Nuri found himself slumping against Naraka, waving his enemy away with a weak hand. He kept his eyes on the Alk, but he didn't move to attack as a hush fell across the crowds. As the matron cried out for more strikes, Nuri grasped his whip and moved to straighten once more, his muscles tight and his breath labored from the battle.
He had pride, and pride would help him get a second wind.
However, it didn't come as whispers and yells sounded, and he turned to look in the direction from his place on the front lines, seeing a third contender heading their way. Was it backup? Support? But for which side?
"Tell you what, if they end up being dangerous, I promise I wont strike you until I've struck them through."
He grumbled to the Alkidike, who only gave him a glare in return. Yeah, he'd probably take advantage of her fatigue as well.

Lumikani Post 21
Lumikani watched as Kiki got separated, the masses keen to see what was coming. As she stood near the leaders, listened to the Matron squawk about, she had to agree that it would be foolish for them to stand down. They did not strike first, they were not the dangerous ones here.
But now, it seemed nothing mattered, as a new force was rumbling down the path. She knew that it wasn't any of her sisters, both sides were accounted for. It had to be enemy, possibly reinforcements. Swallowing, she held strong and raised her head, trying to show that she could handle this and everything else that was to come.
She was strong, she was a survivor.

Amarone Post 20 Healer's Tents
As the fighting died down, and there was a call for cease fire, Amarone spun around and entered the tents. She spoke to everyone and no one at once, trying to give them the words that she had just heard.
"The leaders have halted the fighting, they are attempting to negotiate again...and there are whispers of another force heading this way!"
She didn't wait to see if anyone heard, instead she rushed out toward a stack of barrels by the tents, standing high and trying to see this force for herself.

mewmew kittykat94 Jawaad, your brother is down. We should maybe talk about saving his stupid butt. Ruelash (Post 12) Ruelash was surprised, to say the least, when her fist connected firmly with his face. He felt parts of it give, warm blood leaking into his mouth as he staggered back, trying to get his bearings as he struggled to maintain his balance. Her spear sank into him, and he cried out in pain and, perhaps, exaltation. It was a deep pain, crystal scratching against bone, and he could see his blood decorating the spear as his body betrayed him and he fell back, to the ground. He coughed, wanting nothing more than to attack her again, to be attacked again, to kill, to wound, to flay. But his body refused to move more than a little bit at a time... ”Nice...” he managed, his breath coming in labored, wet, attempts.Kaalnia (Post 10) He had fallen. The nightmare had fallen. Kaalnia stared at him, stunned for a moment at this realization. She had brought him low. She could kill him, if she chose – could take her revenge on him for all the suffering he had caused her. She could rid the world of this menace, once and for all.
Except that wasn't her way. She gave him a victorious kick and picked up his swords, dangling them in front of him to show him exactly what she was doing – she was de-fanging him, destroying his danger to her – and then, swords in hand, she turned and walked away. Somehow, she felt better for not killing him, more confident, braver. She had neutralized her nightmare. She had given him mercy. Her step was lighter, more determined, as she sought out her daughter once again in the crowd, ignoring the Matron's words even as she thought of a few choice ones of her own...

Kadriye Post 14"I might have a few arrow and dagger holes in me,'" the mystic agreed with a wry smile. "Don't tell Eshe, she'll never let me off Chibale again," Not that Kadriye was excited about the idea of charging into another fight but next time she'd be prepared for sure. "I still have much to learn from you and Yansa but at least I'm still here to learn it." High above them Qi watched the advancing force and chittered quietly to himself. These new ones had best not cause trouble or the sprite would give them trouble right back.

alek post sixteenhealing tentsEven Alek's attention had started to flag by the time the battle drew to a tension-filled close. The injured were being tended to by more experienced healers, and he didn't want to intrude when they would surely get better care elsewhere. "It seems it will," he said, expression shifting toward curiosity as he looked at the tent's exit. "Something's happening outside."

Winta || Post Seven || Dexurn || Rogue Winta listened to him as he talked a bit about Oba and revealed that his people didn't come from there. She tried to rack her brain for information that had come out after the war and she couldn't remember anything about Oba or Matori. Winta vaguely recalled hearing about the places but otherwise she was completely out of the loop. There had been other things on her mind at the time. She frowned for a moment. Better not to dwell on that too much. "Why shouldn't I go to Oba?" She asked genuinely curious. "What's Matori like--according to your aunt. I've never been that far before and after the war things were...." Winta paused, thinking of the right word to use. "Different. For me." She admitted.
"Tale is very hot and sandy--depending on the time of the year. Winta paused for a few moments as she tried to find a way of describing it. "There are tree's everywhere and they are so large that we live in them. They cover almost everything. The sandy ground can be soft or course, when there is a drought its a horrible place to be at times if you're not prepared." She smiled at Dexurn. Chimelu || Post Six || Nuawahn, Tahira || Prentice"Ahh. Thanks Tahira." He said with a nod. While the fighting had stopped--for now--he was sure the healers wouldn't be able to get to him for quite some time. He could probably wait until things died down or he would just try to keep it clean, let it scar over. When Nuawahn seemed to come back to himself--well he didn't seem as distressed as he had been just moments before--he offered to help. For a moment Chimelu's blue eyes looked at him curiously. What did he mean he could he--oh. He was healing his wound! Chimelu watched him silently until the wound was sealed and the pain had eased. "Wow Nuawahn, that was great." He gave an encouraging smile to the guy. "Thank you." He said genuinely.

serr post seventeenIt was strange to feel his flesh mend in seconds rather than weeks. Itchy. Serr held stock still, afraid that he would squirm if he didn't pay attention. "Fiia will be okay," he reassured her absently. As long as he wasn't dead, his aunt wouldn't be disappointed, or at least that was what he always assumed. The ambush, however... Eziya could read him like one of her books. At least her affectionate response suggested she wasn't actually angry. "Well... I was there, but I didn't start it." He smirked, eyes still closed. "I really did only mean to look, but that Wind was a jerk."OpticPeach sorry for the wait i was awayyyy /falls off cliff

Eziya Post 18Eziya sat up as she heard the commotion, confused by just what was going on. Someone was coming? More Alkidike perhaps? Glancing down at Serr she frowned and tried to peek out of her tent to see what was going on. If there was something serious going on that got too close she'd have to move her tent, but that wasn't exactly an option with all the injured around. She'd just have to hope that whatever it was happened to be friendly. Or perhaps they'd leave them alone and let them "It sounds like there may be another fight coming. Hopefully the Wind jerk won't start anything again. I'd hate for more people to get hurt." Sighing she moved back over to him, wrapping up his wounds to protect them while they finished healing. "Now as long as you don't try to go out and fight again the wounds should be okay, but that means you'll have to behave yourself." Smerdle It's all good I've been busy too. smile Dezani Post 17Standing up from his position on the ground, Dezani ignored the pain in his back from the open wound and leaned on his lance to see what was going on. He could see the shapes in the distance, but whoever it was still hadn't arrived just yet. The fighting on the front lines had stopped for the moment while everyone stared at the approaching mass, so that was a bonus at least. If he had to go out and fight again he would, but he hoped it had all stopped. There had been to much bloodshed already and everyone seemed exhausted. "I suppose I should prepare to go back out there," he muttered to Araie, taking a moment to glance over at her. Kani Post 17"What's going on, Gael?" Kani questioned, trying to shift weakly in his arms as she heard more shouting. She heard the shouts from someone trying to motion Gael over as well as the commotion about another group apparently coming, but really she was just to dazed to focus on everything that was happening. "There's someone calling Matorians. Are they talking to us?" she continued to ask, shaking her head in an attempt to keep herself awake. The gods would protect her, but boy was she tired. Heras Box I'm sorry this took so long!! D: grasshopper pie Sorry for such a late reply! Xariy Post 16Xariy was glad that the fighting had stopped for the moment, but now there was this other threat on the horizon. What was with all this going on at once? Didn't they know when to stop? Shaking her head, Xariy crept along the trees once more trying to stay hidden. If she could keep out of sight and climb up into the tree to see what was going on that would be ideal. Maybe if the new threat was dangerous the Alkidike and Earthlings would band together, though that was a bit of a stretch. Zumei Post 16"Someone else is coming? Did anyone call reinforcements?" Zumei asked, dropping her hammer to the ground for the moment and looking at Eije. She hadn't heard of any reinforcements coming from their side, but the Alkidike looked just as confused as them. Who was coming then? It made her nervous, but she was still there to protect her home. No new threat was going to take it from her either. She'd fight whoever tried to take Sauti away from them. mewmew kittykat94 Sorry for the short reply!

SwordOfTheDarkOnes I apologize for the grump. >_>;;; Saraf Post 16Saraf's whole body went a little stiff as the one that came to help him commented on hoping he didn't mind a Shifter tending to him. There was a part of him that wanted to shove the healer off and demand another... but forced himself to stay quiet. He didn't like Shifters but telling one of them off now would likely result in no healer in this place helping him. That was the last thing that he wanted since he needed tended to if he was going to get back out there to aid Nuri. It would take all of his composure and patience to deal with a Shifter helping him without knocking the guy's hands aside. Pardon his touch indeed... though he supposed that he could chalk it up to the Shifter merely repaying Saraf for everything his fellow Shifters had done to Saraf in the past. His hands clasped together in his lap, holding onto one another tightly, as the blood was washed away, "You don't need to treat me like some sort of delicate sort, just wrap my wounds so that I can be on my way. I can't just sit around for the rest of the day doing nothing." He barked at the Shifter. As the irritating blood was washed away, and he could finally open his good eye, Saraf turned to the one that was aiding him... and his body went completely tense again, "You." He hissed out between gritted teeth. So it was him again, Issaly, here hovering about him, trying to help him, "You're aware that this isn't going to help, right? After what you and your brother did... just finish up what you're doing and find a patient that you didn't screw over." He spoke in a low tone of voice, not wanting anyone else to over hear him and see him as some big, bad Oban that was picking on a little Shifter brat for no reason.

Briella Post 15She laughed. "At this rate I don't think I want you off the island for a while." she teased. She was only half teasing though. She would want to keep an eye on her girlfriend for a while. At least until she was much better. "Yes, we will have more training sessions then you will know what to do with." she watched Qi fluttering about. If only he could speak, tell them who was coming their way.

|| IC ||
The figures made their way through the crowd. They were small in number, only about a dozen had appeared, almost all of them female. They had looks on their faces of being caught in another time, that there were many more things on their minds than the events at hand or the recently ceased fighting of the people of Tendaji.
They approached Freya, speaking in low tones at first. Freya's eyes widened momentarily before resuming their icy steel. She nodded her head and gestured to the crowd, as if giving the group permission to address the crowd.
One spoke, her voice soft at first, but growing to be heard clearly. "We have foreseen these events... but there is more to do still..." her voice trailed off, like the act of speaking so loudly was beyond her. "We are the Oracles of Mount Xi'i... those that could make the journey..." She gestured to the women behind her. They ranged in age, and some men were among the group though they were few. "The Extremists cannot stay on Tendaji, they will not stop."
"There is an island to the south." Another spoke up, joining the first. "They will be banished, forbidden from returning to Tendaji. They will get safe passage there... we have foreseen..." she trailed off.
They quieted then, nodding their head to Freya, who in turn pulled the other leaders closer. The Matron was not pleased, she bellowed to the Oracles. "No word of earthlings can force our Sisters to move. We will not be stopped."
Though the earthlings began to turn their weapons on the crowd of Extremists who still stood. Yansa stepped forward through the crowd to the battle lines. "You have no choice here, Sister. Either go willingly, or we will not be gentle." Without realizing it, the Alkidike had been surrounded, the faces of numerous traitor Sisters staring back at the Extremists, herding them into a smaller mass. "There is still time to forgive those who blindly followed. Those who do not accept the terms will go to this island they speak of." Yansa's words were final. It would seem that the Alkidike would not have the Extremists back if they refused to cooperate.
Some of the younger Sisters began to falter, did they want this? Did they want to be forever struck from their homes? Some dropped their weapons, moving hesitantly back across the lines to the other side. The group dwindled to half of its strength.
The Matron stood tall.
"If this is the fate of our feeble race, so be it." She scoffed. "We will be better off without the weaklings holding us back." It would seem that they would go... though there wasn't much they could do with half of their size removed from them.
|| OOC ||
|| The Extremists have failed! They will be banished. Any playable character who was on the extremist side can choose to put down their weapons and join the rest of Tendaji. If they do not, they will also be banished and will not be able to RP until a future meta chapter. This includes all normal RP since they will be cut off from Tendaji. (We recommend finding some way to surrender that would suit your character IC unless you don't mind not using them for a while.) || As a note: The NPC posts are meant to progress the plot line, if characters continue to post without any concern for the advancing of the plot, their posts will not count toward VP. VP are not given out for those who do not participate in the events of the meta.
