He could of sworn that Sriina had said she was coming to this...'event'. But with the large crowds it was hard to spot let alone find his best friend. Sighing he had dressed in his best, even spent extra time on his make up and hair to make sure that he sparkled. Who knew who he could meet during this event? Perhaps some rugged hunk would sweep him off of his feet and carry him away. The idea of meeting someone of that description was tantalizing, but he had to remind himself that he wasn't here to pick up guys...he was here to find his friend and scope out this 'fiance' of hers.
Frowning he wasn't entirely sure where to start. There were just so many strange and different people. Some with antenna, some with skin dark as midnight, there were your obans...which made sense since the event was taking place in Oba but he didn't care about them. In fact...he still had dark thoughts about his childhood and those days so he wouldn't be caught dead trying to flirt with one of them. Swishing his skirt in the light breeze he smiled to himself and moved off. He would find her somewhere, standing around wasn't going to get him far.

Damn right the food smelled good, and Kauff made sure he had gathered up as much of it as he could afford before he found a seat. The Wind chose a secluded spot at the back of the stands and laid out his bounty there, surrounding himself with pastries, meat pies, and tiny loaves of various colors and consistencies. It wasn't until he had settled that he looked out over the arena, smirking at the tension there. He would have liked to have entered himself, but despite his good fortune at finding odd jobs and earning enough to get by, he still hadn't obtained a new hammer. He was fine with it. There were only a couple of things that would make this moment better, and there was plenty of time to find them both before the day was done.
He had just leaned back, delicate confection poised at his lips, when someone groaned.
Whoever had made the sound was quite a ways away, and it took Kauff several squinty-eyed seconds to find the Oban in question. When he did, he waved his pastry in greeting before looking back down at the sparring.
"All right there, kid? Don't strain yourself." He chuckled at nothing, finally popping the fancy ball of dough into his mouth.
Large Matori feet waddled its way, excusing herself while getting through large crowds. Onora held onto her skirt. This would be the first time she ever battled before and she was slightly excited. She just had to wait till it was her turn.
Her eyes scanned the people around her, yet no familiar face poked out to her attention. With a quick shrug, she decided to eat something before having her battle. The large woman made her way through to the concessions.

Neryssa Post 1
The color. The music and laughter. All the high spirits made a young Matori's skin tingle! Bare feet padded against the ground as she maneuvered through the throngs of people. All races were here from the local Obans to Ice and Many others. Large golden eyes glittered with delight at the idea of so many being around, but one things made her frown to herself, it would be hard to find anyone in all this. Her hopes was that Nadiya was here as well. Her thoughts on her sister, Neryssa stopped a moment and looked around. Barely brushing the height of five feet, she wasn't near tall enough to see over the heads of others. Specially those of the Alk variety. Still, all the excitement was making her giddy with glee. The big question was, were there other bards here that played? Tugging on the pink sash she always wore, she headed off again, in search of music.
He hadn't meant to end up here, but this tournament was quite literally the only game in town at the moment. No, make that the only game on the continent, and Serr hadn't had a chance to play in quite some time. Not that he actually wanted to spar. The pickpocket didn't do so well one-on-one. He was more interested in the crowds that had gathered to watch. So many gullible marks. So many things to steal.
Muttering a quick mental apology to Eziya, the Leaf tapped the hilt of his dagger and disappeared into the crowd.

Senja post 1
She left her son and husband to go shopping; Siha nd Zimbasiu were far more interested in the fights while she was.. not. Fighting was not something she liked; and while it was a necessary evil she wished there was less of it in this world.
She hummed to herself as she sauntered through the crowds, her purse in hand as she eyed the booths and looked for delicious food and items to buy. There was bound to be something here that would catch her eye!

Kresimir .|. Post 1
Kresimir had decided to take a look at who all had come to this tournament. He still had a little bit until his fight and he had wanted to make the most of it. This tournament was a chance to see all of the different races interacting again, one of his first times to see it other than just normal day to day. Kres wanted to check out all the vendors as well as he always kept an eye out for things to take home to his family. Though, he wondered how many of them he would see here. He couldn't help but smile when he saw the roster and saw his Mom's name up on the lists. How like her, she couldn't resist a chance to test her skills. It had been some time for her, and many kids later too. Kresimir wandered through the crowds looking for any familiar face and absorbing all that he could.

Siha post 2
Zimbasi laughed at the smaller woman (noble by the smell and looks of her) and her comment and deliberately misconstrued its meaning. "Why thank ye! I'm claimed for already though lil lady.. and you're a bit young for me." He said blandly with a twinkle in his eye as Siha giggled.
"She didna mean you daddy!" He swung his feet against the broad chest; "I'mma the handsome one!" He declared happily. "I'mma Siha! Who you lil lady?" He imitated his fathers label for her. She didn't look mean.. and had silver hair like him! Was she a hybrid too? She's small like mamma! As far as Siha was concerned; small women like his mother were automatically accepted as good.. until proven otherwise.

Draven Post two
Draven wandered the lanes, purchasing a large leg of meat for Regale. He found a small sweets stand and stopped there. He wasn't all that hungry and this seemed great. He picked up a few, a couple for himself and some for others. With Regale walking just behind him, Draven headed towards the stands to watch the first round of fights. Time to see who else was there and who wasn't. He had hoped that he could see some old friends, but seems they weren't anywhere to be seen... Not that he had too many to begin with that is.
Making it to the stands, he placed Regale off to one side to chew on the meat he had gotten the beast before threading himself through the people. Standing on his tiptoes at times he spotted a familiar face. Moving close he cam up close to Masika and plopped down behind her. Noting that Dem was close at hand still. picking out a sweet cake from the sack he carried, he leaned forward to pass it over the prentice's shoulder.
"sweet cake?" he asked with a grin, waiting for her reaction.

Ujana - Post One
There was something about a festival that brought out the best in everyone. Ujana had never seen so many bodies packed into one area without a war on. She could see the tips of alkidike antennae, finned water ears, spiked wind crystals...Pure bloods and hybrids alike mingled in the crowds, openly laughing and talking with one another as if they didn't have a care in the world.
It was a welcome change to the tensions brought on by war. She'd seen enough of that for a lifetime.
Thanks to the alkidike scattered among the throng Ujana was able to blend - somewhat. For an earthling, even at her younger age, she was very large. An amazon in her own right who towered over most men and out muscled them as well. She walked with a swagger only known to the confident along the Oban streets in search of a quick meal before her match. How was she expected to win if she was focusing on food the whole time?
"Fresh fish! Straight from Zena!"
Fresh? And from Zena? How could they possibly be fresh if they were from Zena? Drawn in by curiosity, Ujana meandered closer to a smaller stall where an iceling man peddled his food. He did, indeed, have freshly grilled fish, but she didn't know enough about Zena's fauna to be able to judge if that's where they had originated.
"Oh gross, this fish is green." The meat was almost as bright as her eyes. "That can't be healthy."
"Miss, that's natural for the typ-" "Look, I don't know much about fish, but if it's green it's spoiled."

If anyone would like to rp with Ujana (or slip in on the argument/sale) just quote me. c:
A hooded figure moved through the crowd, their dark cloak covering them from head to toe and leaving no room for any to recognize them underneath. It was the easiest way to move through the crowd, and the figure found it desirable despite her intentions for putting on a show. After years of working at the red and building up her funds for a safe trip home (considering the fact that she originally came from nothing at all), Itotia had built up confidence to do what she was about to do with the mainlanders around her.
Moving away from the loud noises of the market, and toward the loud noises of the stands, Itotia found a place and reserved some room for Aseara and others around her. Settling down as the first fighters began to prep, Itotia lifted her olive colored hands, and moved them to her hood.
As the hood fell from her head, revealing lavender hair, drooping ears, and grey eyes, a gasp sounded from around her. She could feel the glares, and the figures before her glanced behind once, twice, and then began to gape.
Locals knew, had heard rumors of the Yaeli who walked through Sulburi, but now all mainlanders were watching her. Her hands shook, but she hid them under her cloak and left her face void of emotion. This was a trial, and she would prove her strength among the mainlanders around her.
[ Itotia is stand offish, and wont really accept people just interacting with her, she's got a bite to strangers. Approach if you dare! ]

Lucijah Post 1
While Lucijah was no stranger to festivals or fancy shindigs, this was one of the first celebrations on such a large scale that she had personally been to. Technically, she should have been on bodyguard duty, trailing her lover's steps and ensuring her safety, but her love had allowed her a bit of free time to explore, and despite her reluctance, Lucijah had to admit she was enjoying herself. The stands of the tournament were bustling and filled to the brim with fighters and attendees, but beyond the stands that surrounded the arena were stands of concessions, and a swirl of milling, foreign faces.
She reveled in the anonymity in a way she hadn't since coming to Oba... because while foreigners weren't unheard of, it still was mainly a sea of Oban faces that she normally saw. And here? Here, the odds were a little more tilted, and seeing the familiar shade of shifter skin wasn't nearly as surprising to her.
Grinning and trying not to let herself be overwhelmed, Lucijah released a breath, then shuffled out of the way of some woman that others were gawking at. Luci, too caught up in her own awe, didn't pay much attention to the Yaeli - didn't even realize that she was one, despite her obvious differences, and instead wondered along a ring of stalls. Her first instinct was to find some Jauhar fare to munch on, as she had come to miss home... only she was stopped by her own eavesdropping.
Green fish?? Wrinkling her nose, the massive woman paused behind an equally muscled, but evidently younger woman, eyeing the fish with some evident doubt. She knew little about Zena, but she had to agree... "Gimme a bite of that one - if it's fresh, I'll buy us both a skewer, how 'bout that?" Cracking a toothy grin, Lucijah leaned an elbow leisurely against the stand. She wasn't really one for bartering - and it was likely he'd just shoot her down anyway, but Lucijah would rather give it a shot than pass by such an intriguing sort of dish. If it WAS fresh, then what on earth did such a vibrant fish taste like ?

Ygraine Post 1
It had taken them a lonnnngg time to get here, but there were in Oba! OBA! The land of the... um. Sand. It was as far from Zena as it could be, both in distance and heat! There wasn't any snow here, none ! And she didn't even have to wear her jacket!!
If anything, she was burnt and pouty, but once they'd gotten to the festival she'd forgotten her whining and instead clung to her baba's hand, bouncing in place. Around her belly was a pink sash that her daddys had gotten her, sewn with beautiful bright blue designs, but she knew what it was really for. The decorated sash had a silk ribbon that extended from it, which her baba had wrapped around his wrist, along with the one that was tied to Sol.
They got quite a few silly looks, and she couldn't bounce away from her dad as she wanted do - which was no fun! "I wanna see the dancers - please baba, please please please?!" She whined, stamping her foot so that her white curls, tied back into a ponytail, bounced against her shoulders. Her pale face was bright pink from sunburn, but had been covered in a salve that made her feel a bit cooler.

Nimueh Post 1
Nimueh hadn't initially decided to leash his children. Leather leashes were for familiars, the bald wrinkly perzi that Obans let languish around their yards, or fat and well-tended roati that ambled about the richer homes in Zena. And yet, the stories about Oba that his partner had described had made him paranoid, and so with the promise that Callum would go off to fight in the tournament, Nimueh had insisted that he had some minor insurance to keep their children safe. Or, at least, unable to run off.
So leashing them wasn't his first choice. But the alternative was risking his children, hybrid like himself, to stay safe in a crowd of Obans, some of which may be the ones that had imprisoned Callum before.
Shuddering at the thought, Nimueh looked around the crowd, then back to his daughter, humming thoughtfully. He didn't want to say yes, and then have Sol upset at being dragged around. For now, they had to decided together. "Are you sure you don't want to play some games instead? We can look for performers, but Sol might want to play or get some snacks first, sweetling."

Nera - Post Two
Somehow that keen brain that Nera was so proud of seemed to have failed to process the fact that the child was in fact on his father’s shoulders, she had seen it but for whatever reason it didn’t register. Now here she was standing in front of a fully grown man that towered over her with a half eaten wad of taffy shoved to one side of her mouth making her cheek puff up ridiculously. It was--- uncharacteristically embarrassing and she wanted to just turn around and disappear into the crowd but her pride rebuked the cowardly notion.
A slow chew churned the sticky confection to the other side of her mouth before she attempted to address both father and son. “Siha called out your mistake there papa,” the moment she spoke and a playful banter filled the distance between them the young woman relaxed once again. The pair were commoners, what could she possibly have to worry about even if she did feel a bit awkward talking to the duo. “You are the handsome man I was talking too young sir,” a giggle softened her already silken tone. “My name is Nera and I am not that little but I guess I am a little small… say I think I bought too much candy, well at least too much for little me to eat by myself. Maybe a big strong guy like you could help me eat it. If that is okay with your daddy, that is?” Tossing a glance towards the older man the noble offered a crooked grin.
