Uquin: Post 1 Years back, Uquin had been in this very position - a prentice in a battle, trying to get ready. At the time, Biroki had been the one giving instructions - but for now, Uquin had settled into the role, only giving a moment to pause and reflect on the irony. Shaking his head, Uquin looked up as another prentice stepped into the tents, putting another mental tally on the amount of healers and helpers running about.
"You - go with Padma, bring in the packs from my aldabuck." He waved his hand, dismissively, then turned to look at other healers, his eyes narrowed in thought. What else needed to be done?Padma: Post 1 Padma and her father had run to Sauti almost as soon as news came of a possible attack. To anyone else, it looked like Uquin was simply eager to be set up for a fight ... but Padma knew it had more to do with his father's secret girlfriend, the wind-earthling Mella. They'd only arrived recently, so she was still frazzled from the trip, but she'd snapped to attention as soon as she'd choked down some tea to wake up.
She'd been set to starting smaller fires outside the tents, with pots of water set to boil over them, and came back in- only to be sent back out, with a leaf girl at her side. Padma tossed her a frazzled smile and gestured for her to come outside with her, unperturbed, for the moment, by the girls strange features (she'd seen enough people today that she was numb, for now, to such features). The stepped out to Ishtu and Ishtar - the two aldabuck that were tied outside. They were still heavily laden with packs and parcels of all the supplies Uquin could scrounge from Yera, in Tale - though many of the bags had been pulled off and set by the side of the tents, to relieve the animals. "Are you sure you want to be here, when battle starts out? My dad says it can get pretty... scary in there.Duke Edward Drake Irrohna, you don't have to stick around if she doesn't want to XD

Shukri post 3 Much as Shukri would have been quite happy to steer clear of a potential battlefield the wind tribe man found himself camped at the blockade under band orders. Mostly what he was doing was running crates of supplies around and keeping lists of who was camped where along with what they had and what they needed. Organization and heavy labour was something he could do but it was not something Shukri took joy in.
He still didn't think the Alkidike could hold Sauti if they tried to take it and once the word spread that even their leadership was divided on the issue, he'd seen no point in bothering to contest what would be a failed colonization. Shukri was not quite the master of his own life though and when his band's leaders sent him top help with the resistance effort he had gone, taking Thema with him.
The only thing that made him feel less distressed about this whole situation was whispering among the alkidike that arrived there first that a sister called Maya was leading many of her tribe to help defend Sauti. If that was his Maya, well, Shukri was not entirely surprised and he was grateful for the help. He worried for her safety but despite her often demure demeanor she was a warrior who could fight far better than he'd ever be capable of. Though Shukri preferred her as his friend , confidant and adventuring partner
Tahira post 4
While most of the Alkidike had gone to aid Sauti over land Tahira had taken to the seas, sailing southeast from chibale and along the coastline of Jauhar, Oba and Matori, good strong winds had helped her cover the distance faster than her tribemates could run even mounted. Plus she had been able to rest at night and simply adjust her course upon waking.
Fortunately the young woman had arrived in Matori in time to convince the Earthlings there that she she was there to help, her hybrid appearance likely aiding her in that, and was allowed to be part of one of the beast aided trips over the great rocky divide that separated Sauti and Matori.
Now Tahira walked amongst those gathered at the blockade, body trembling every so slightly with energy as she waited for something, anything to happen. She was ready for this, even if it was not a fight she though should have been needed she was here to do her part for her second homeland.

Cyn Post # 5
Cyn found himself following the crowd and the leaders towards the borders of Sauti. He did want to travel, but he didn't think a potential war would be the reason he did so. None the less, Cyn was equipped for the job. From home he had quickly grabbed the bow his teacher had given him, along with his new tunic and furs. Taken back from his thoughts, Cyn looked down at the scar on his arm. This had come from a wild animal, what would this war leave him with? Cyn stood at the ready, waiting for orders or the first signs of trouble.
(This leaves him open for interactions, meetings, idle chat what have you)

Jacinthus Post 6Walking over to where his mate was standing Jacinthus slung an arm around Takoda, dragging him a couple steps backwards, and rested his head on the man's shoulder, "Seems as though everyone is starting to gather." He said, sounding as though he were stating the obvious but there was a hint of surprise in his voice. The fact that there were not only Alkidike here to aid with the blockade but also some of the Obans? It wasn't really something that he had been expecting, not that he really trusted either group any further then he could throw them. They likely had reasons for being here, everyone present had reasons, but were they reasons that could be trusted? Possibly the Alkidike if they were wanting peace, not war, but what about the Obans? Did they want to make up for the war? Hoping that helping now would make up for that mess? He snorted at the thought as he muttered in a tone that only Takoda would be able to hear, "I'd like to figure out who invited the Obans and give them a swift kick in the backside once we are done with the extremists. I don't trust them and we don't need them." They should go back to Oba so they couldn't put anyone else at risk or think to go stabbing people in the back. Chalcedony Post 6After doing a few laps around the area to get a feel for the lay out and everyone present Chalcedony returned to where he'd left the group that he'd traveled to Sauti with. Takoda and that idiot archer were off cuddling, something that made him roll his eyes before moving to stand with Keilana, able to see their sons from here, as well as the front lines, "It's always so tense the moment before something is supposed to happen." He said, shrugging off the heavy shield he carried so that he could set it on the ground at his feet, wanting it to be ready in case he needed it. There was that part of him that hoped that it wouldn't come down to a battle but he wasn't about to hold his breath. The Alkidike were marching, meaning that they were serious, the idea that it wouldn't come to blows wasn't something he felt was likely at this point. "I'm glad that we are able to keep an eye on the boys but it would have been nice if we could have left them somewhere safe and far from this battle. I don't know, Zena or Matori, maybe?" He said, looking at the pair, then sighed, "Though if we sent them there Aysun would likely come home with a horde of Matori born critters. He's already talking about wanting to visit Oba and Matori to meet the beasts that live there, has he told you that?" He asked of Keilana, wondering if she knew of their son's possible plans. At least plans that were in the words before all this had happened. He wondered what would happen now? Giving a sigh he lifted a hand, rubbing it against his head, "Best to keep an eye on him though, he's also talked about going to Zena to find a raptrix pup, and we are closer to Zena now then we have ever been." Aysun Post 7Aysun gave a little whistling sound, one that got the attention of the one beast that he had with him, a whistle that kept the large janarim at his side even as he looked interested in wandering off. The way he was shifting around, clawing at the ground, snorting, he seemed to just inately know what was going on. It was something that had Aysun on high alert, having to do everything to keep him calm, "I think he knows that there is a battle coming." He said to his brother, lifting a hand to stroke a hand soothingly against Maw's neck, "He used to be a warrior so I think he feels he should be getting ready to fight. I don't want that though, I don't want him getting hurt." Turning to look at his brother he reached a hand out to him, giving his hair a little ruffle, "I don't want you getting hurt either, you know that, right? I mean I say it all the time so I don't know if you actually believe me or not." He gave a sighing sound before he said, "You know, if there is a fight, you need to stay with me! Maw and I will keep you safe and provide cover while you sling your spells around, alright? I'm not taking no for an answer, I'm going to help!" He did his best to sound serious, something he didn't really do all that often, hoping maybe a serious tone would help him to get his brother to listen to him. As he spoke Flower came to settle on his head, looking toward Awen a moment, then away, giving a chittering sound that had Aysun lifting a hand to give him a pat, "It's alright, Flower, nobody will ever understand a woman's mind. It's like a puzzle that is impossible for men to figure out." He told him, hoping to reassure the sprite that seemed to want only the best for Awen but she seemed completely uninterested in poor Flower's attention.

Rishima Post 8Rishima tensed for a moment as he heard someone coming up behind him, his antennae giving a twitch, before he saw who it was that was there standing over him, "Gerraden." He murmured, letting his eyes close again when he was given the kiss on the forehead. It seemed to be just what he needed, some affection in the midst of everything that was going on around them. It helped to a degree, allowing him to relax if even slightly before he nodded, "Yes, the situation has everyone on edge, not to mention the presence of both Alkidike and Oban alike. There is a lot of bad blood between the various tribes and people are bound to be on edge because of that and because of war starting again." Even Rishima was feeling a bit fraid. After setting his spear on the ground next to him he turned around and drew Gerraden down to sit with him so that they could see eye to eye, "I don't know what our odds are of getting them to stand down. They seem so determined at the moment to see this through but it doesn't mean that I won't try my best. It's my duty to my tribe and my sisters to do all that I can to avoid unneccessary blood shed and pain. Surely, deep down, they must know that people are going to be hurt and killed? Even if they don't care about us they must care about the welfare their own?" Here was to hoping they didn't seem some losses as a sacrifice worth making in this crusade of theirs. "How are you fairing, Gerraden?" He asked, wondering how the younger warrior was holding up when it came to all of this. Gerraden hadn't asked for any of this, he'd seemed so happy just working on building their house in Jauhar and Rishima had brought all of this to their doorstep, something he felt guilty over.

Saraf Post 8Turning to look over at the one that Nuri was introducing himself, a woman named Karothdra, he gave her a once over, seeming to be sizing her up. A gauntlet wielding warrior, huh? Interesting he found himself thinking before he said, "Hello, Karothdra, it's good to meet you." Really good, it showed that perhaps Nuri had women in his life that were better suited to him then that blond woman Nuri introduced him to back in Oba. He turned then to look at Kalliope as Nuri brought her up, giving a slight nod, "She seemed to want to join those fighting in our King's name instead of evacuating." He said simply, no reason to deny her the chance to fight if it were something that she was actually interested in. At least that was what it had seemed like to him though now she was talking about falling back to the tents and being a sort of last line of defense if the fighting got overwhelming. A shame to see her giving up before things began but at the same time he supposed that it made sense. Not as though they could have a dancer on the battlefield as anything more then a distraction. "Keep an eye open at all times, Kalliope, these savages can't be trusted. The Alkidike skulking about the camp are suspicious and every Shifter I have run across have quickly shown what they are really like under their false smiles." Just as he was about to wave her on her way the girl did something that startled him a bit, that being to give him a kiss on the cheek. It was something that had him starring at her in a rather quizzical manner. What in the world was she doing? Likely being thankful in some overly showy female fashion he decided, glancing away and clearing his throat before he turned his attention back to Nuri. Turning his full attention to his friend's questions and off of Kalli's actions he said, "There are a surprising amount of them given the fact that this blockade is to keep them out. Either they are genuinely wanting to stand against their people, which I kind of doubt, or their spies. Either way I don't think we should talk to loudly around any of them. I don't want to give them a possible opening against us. We are here to aid with this mission on our king's orders but I see no reason for us to die for a bunch of savages who would likely rather kill us then thank us once this is all over." The last bit was muttered more quietly so that hopefully only his fellow Obans could hear him.

Jelanii Post 6"Hey!" Jelanii said as his sister shot off the beast to scramble towards someone. He hurried off himself, going after her. It was a strange land with both Alkikides and Obans around. It made him nervous that his sister would be even here. What if something happened to her. A part of him had secretly hoped she would stay behind. He knew she had been trained in the use of her weapons, but it didn't change that she was his sister and he wasn't sure he could handle seeing her caught up in a war. But his sister could be stubborn about it and the brief time he mentioned it hadn't gotten well. With relief he noticed Cerith was standing by a familiar face. He couldn't help the smile that curled his lips at the sight of Illian. Though he hadn't had much time to see the Shifter after he left to go find his brothers. So this was really the first time they would be talking after their argument. Still, he didn't feel nervous. All he felt was pleased at the sight of him. "So you ran off to greet Illian," Jelanii said. "You're not developing a crush, are you?"---- Zuberi Post 6Zuberi had watched as people from other countries had trickled into Sauti. They were standing in the thick of things. He wondered if he made the right decision, deciding to stay, but with the knowledge that the Alkikides were so close, he thought the risk of leaving Sauti would just end with them getting caught in the crossfire. At least this way, there would be a whole arm separating L'lhynd from the danger. Right now they were at the inn. Zuberi still hadn't decided if he was going to fight with the army or stay back at the inn and protect L'lhynd just in case some strays got inside Sauti. It was a ...difficult decision and Zuberi hated the feeling of indecision. He wanted to protect L'lhynd, but he wasn't sure if he would do that better going out on the field or staying by his side. Zuberi scowled at the window.

Istanell Post 7War seemed an odd thing to Istanell, especially in such a large scale. He often found himself watching others as they all travelled, seeing how the races laughed together and worked together in an effort to normalize the situation. He figured for most of them it was better than out right showing how afraid they were of the battles to come... and if they weren't afraid they were probably stupid and going to end up dying early on. Still, he could pray for their survival. They would need every earthling they could get with what was to come.
As he approached his brother it was clear he was carrying some sort of meat on a stick, charred quite dark. Istanell hadn't known what it was, hadn't bothered asking. Food was food. "I haven't seen Incanthis yet, have you, Illian?" His attention was almost immediately pulled to Jelanii and a matorian he was unfamiliar with. The female's features reminded him of Jelanii's though. His words had mixed with her own, his ability to hear the female's full sentence had been compromised. But he'd caught babysitter and brother... and then Jelanii was mentioning crushes of all things and he wasn't sure who to scowl at first. He immediately decided, though, that the female was speaking about Incanthis. After all, he was no longer looking half starved any longer. He'd filled out quite a bit since he'd last seen Jelanii. Nothing extreme, but he'd been getting his meals more regularly and focusing on his bow techniques, strengthening his arms for easier use.

Yithiron Post 8 It broke Thorn's heart to see her so worried over him. "I promise I will come back to you my love," and he would, he needed her and she needed him and it was important that she be healthy and happy. If he was injured fine he could recover he was a big lad and he refused to think of anything worse. He gathered her to him. "I love you Ime, and I'll not part with you don't worry. I want to be there for you always through laughter and tears and whatever our future might bring." He burried his face in her hair and salt tears trickled out of his green eyes. "You need to promise to be safe too, if they reach you here, run, I'll find you as soon as I know."

Lumikani Post 9
As the Alkidikes began to slow a bit, Lumikani held up a hand to calm Azubuike. The Radaku still needed her to place her hands on his form to get him to stop, their bond not quite ready for silent gestures or short phrases. Still, she trusted the large creature and was willing to take him anywhere. That was why she painted him the same dark color as her markings, letting everyone know exactly where he belonged.
"Calm, Azu. We need to stop for camp. We will be back in our trees soon enough..." She whispered softly, brushing a hand down his side until he seemed to preen with the attention. Smiling, she stepped back and was quite content with the progress and where they stood as partners.
It was then that she heard the laughter, and her eyes sought out the sister on the large Janarim. The beast was quite big and intimidating, and if there were more Lumikani wasn't sure how they would fare. Pushing past her uncertainty as a youth, she determined that the elder warriors were seasoned enough to know the best way to take the beasts down.
It was when Aselia stepped down from her mount, and began heading her way, that Lumikani moved back a bit and pulled her Radaku to do the same. She listened as rest was called, as the sisters groaned at how close they were, before she heard the offer for a hunt.
Hunting, that was something she was very familiar with, and immediately she stepped forward.
"I am willing to join you, if you need a spare pair of eyes. I have the skill to be silent and to scout for game." She said with her chin raised, not passing the chance to join the Mystic and assist anyway she could.Silver_tigress18 Lumikani would love to help hunt!

Scarlett Arbuckle Teluj might steal her at some point Silv pmed me so im just going with the flow :3 Silver_tigress18 Teluj can grab her after the errand? Irro post 7 Irro hopped to at the command in Uquin's voice. "Yes sir!" She launched herself after the harried form of Padma to two aldabucks. "Yes, because I am a treasure hunter and me and my puny little knife would get flattened out there between the fortresses the sentinnels and the brutes you know. I'm just not designed for that kind of melee I'm mostly a violence only in self defense type. At the least I can run supplies because my er healing skills are ..limited to bandages..and that's it." She snorted. "What about you are you going to be a healer?" She asked curiously.

serr post eightHe could have punched this guy, seriously. How difficult was it to slip on a mask—not even a whole mask, just one of those little half ones the traveling players wore—and pretend that everything was going to be all right? And on second thought, why was the Wind so pessimistic anyway? He didn't even need the mask, not for a quick ambush, not when he wouldn't be touched. Serr ignored the man for a moment in favor of the Shifter. "Gift should stay here. She's being so... helpful." His grin returned as he cast a sidelong glance at the Xaraan. "I'll be back soon." He touched her arm. "And you're not boring."Motioning to the other man, Serr moved away from the tent. He was likely still within Eziya's range of hearing when he addressed the Wind. "What if you can strike and avoid being hit?" he replied, his quiet voice edged with bravado.

Lasarra - Post Eight As much as she was sure he would have loved to go out scouting, she was pleased that they had came late. Scouting wasn't really her thing, and would have come between her plan of staying by her side.
"It's hard to say, I can go anywhere. We just don't know how it's going to be with them. I'm not sure if they are more likely to rush us all at once or try to attack with small groups..." she wished they knew more. Knowledge was gold in war. Ilyra - Post Seven As soon as Tahigwa was by her side things were better. She was calmer. "You should at least eat something. It would be horrible for your energy to die while out fighting." she said with a frown. What Tahigwa was doing was dangerous for her body. She she didn't blame her girlfriend. "Trust me, a little taste of normalcy is just what I want." it seemed that she had come back from Oban just to be thrown into another war.
She looked up as Elsheba spoke. She didn't know the girl, but it seemed that she was some how connected to her girlfriend's large family. "Their a smart bunch, I'm sure they are somewhere safe." she said with a smile. Zuri - Post Seven"I'd rather be home as well." she didn't plan on leaving Zena for a while, but this little war seemed to ruin that plan.
"Do either of you know where you want to be stationed? Like fighting or helping the healers?" she was pretty sure Alek had helped the healers last time, but she wasn't sure if he wanted to do that again.

Nkole Post 5After Teiluj had gone to give another person he didn't know her support, Nkole was beginning to wonder just how much he had missed out while he was recovering. Sure it was only natural for a beautiful young lady to go out and make friends, but why did they all have to be men? Jealousy as it seemed overflowed despite himself trying to warm up to all the new people Teiluj seemed to be friends with. Sighing he wondered idly if he had this many friends before he lost his memory, and some small part of him yearned to gain that knowledge. But he couldn't force his memory to come back and thus all he could do was clutch onto Teiluj's hand while they all traveled to Sauti. He wasn't entirely sure why they were going but perhaps they could find Maya and ease some of the young hybrids fears. "I am sure your mother is fine.." He spoke to the young woman as he sat on a rock before dragging her to him, forcing the girl to sit in his lap while he embraced her. "Don't worry she is tough. Maybe we will get lucky and find her before the extremists come."

Aseara - Post #9It was odd being surrounded by so many Windlings at once and it looked like they just kept on coming. Though it was to be expected, they were here to help them after all. It just felt very weird to be back here with them when she’s spent so much time in Oba already. At first Aseara didn’t want to talk to anyone, she stayed in her corner and watched the others form groups and talk as they worked. However, Aseara grew restless, she needed to keep her mind busy or she’d worry herself to death. So she told herself she would speak to whoever came in next.
“Hi, do you have any news?” She approached the girl who had just come in. ------------------------------------ Alassiel - Post #9The sudden influx of Alkidike to the camp made Alassiel stand up eyes narrowed. Intruders. She grabbed her trident and moved forward to where some of the others had gathered. Why were they here, was this some sort of ambush? They weren’t going to let them into the camp were they? She certainly hoped not, but better to keep an eye on them for the time being. They could be faking it for all they knew, she didn’t know a single Alkidike that would turn against her people. No, Alassiel could never trust any of the Alkidikes after this little stunt.
