EYPHAH'S PROFILE
Character Name: Eyphah
Race: Feral Drakein - Adult
Gender: Male
Clan: Diabi
Class: N/A
Appearance:
~ Scales: Overall most of his scales are a deep onyx black in color, littered in various scarring, chips in them here and there, as well as various other little injuries that point toward being in a lot of scuffles throughout his life thus far.
~ Underbelly: A dark gray color, with far fewer scars than other parts of him since he would be more careful to protect the more vulnerable areas of his stomach and throat.
~ Other: His eyes, horns, claws, and the webbing of his wings are a deep, blood red color.
If possible could he have one of his horns snapped off a third of the way down as well as a few little tears and holes in his wings? Nothing that would impede the use of his wings, but still looking as scuffed up as the rest of him. Any other edits that the artist wants to do or things that she wants to fiddle with is good by me too.
Personality:
~ Arrogant: If you ask him, and likely even if you don't, Eyphah would be the first to start to talk about how wonderful he is! He is strong, beautiful, graceful, and he never does anything in a manner that is anything less than perfect. The world of Magesc was blessed the day his egg hatched and he came into the world! To say that the Diabi is arrogant is the understatement of the century, making him hard to deal with as he is likely to chatter on about his various high points while leaving out any sort of negatives. In fact he would claim that there aren't any at all to be had, not that they would be hard for a person to learn all of them on their own after even a single outing with the loud mouth Diabi.
~ Greedy: The shinies, they are his, all of them! He is the sort that has such an addiction to pretty things, at least what he finds pretty, that were he to find a common place rock that glittered in a special way, he would carry the thing home with him. Too big to carry? No worries, that just means he'd just have to spend an afternoon dragging it back home with him is all. Can't let anyone to have it after all. He's certainly not above bullying the weak out of their things, nor would he pass up on looting things from the dead if he decided that they had something he wanted. His tendency to show up where great battles take place, looking for various things to steal, will net him the nickname 'Carrion Eater' ( Buzzard or Vulture would work as well if that sort of bird exists in Magesc).
~ Dominant: Eyphah isn't exactly a lone wolf sort, not in the least, by all means he would allow anyone to join him on his various adventures and scavenging trips. There is a catch though, instead of letting others work with him he instead allows the 'honor' of working for him. Be it the humanoid races of Magesc, at least those who can look passed his eating habits long enough to complete an adventure, as well as any other Drakein weaker than him physically or just weaker in their willpower, he will let all of them serve him! He might even present them with a little trinket at the end of things, though he would be sure to take first dibs on any treasure they find, as the master of the group it's only naturally that he does so!
Those that make the mistake of standing against him or trying to argue against any of his rulings are likely to be met with a swift retaliation to put them back in their place. It would likely be something small, a smack with his tail, a kick, or a n**, but those caught trying to steal what is rightfully his will outright attack!
~ Motivated: In his own twisted manner he is a rather motivated guy, always on the move, always plotting what he has to do next, and otherwise just wanting to race down the path toward victory... or the next great heist, either one. No matter what it is that he might be up to, even something as simple as stealing some poor sap's lunch, or turning some poor sap into lunch, he will put his all into achieving his goals. Once accomplished he will be more than happy to pose and preen over what he's done, even if it's something a little hatchling could achieve with ease.
~ Protective: In his own, twisted manner Eyphah can actually prove to be a protective sort when it comes to that which he claims as his own. Be it his treasure trove, an interesting humanoid, or another Drakein he will go to battle over them, but only if they belong to him. Unless there is some really good begging or a reward involved he'd never go out of his way for a stranger, more content to take a wait and see stance on their fate, though there is the exception to every rule. First and foremost would be the Gaili, a tribe of Drakein that he is rather biased toward though he wouldn't admit to it.
The second thing that he would protect quite fiercely, not that is he even aware himself that he'd do were the situation presented itself, would be the protection of a little Keinling. Due to events in his past the Diabi, who normally needs very specific reasons to protect others, would race headlong into any sort of danger to grab up the little one and run them to safety.

BIOGRAPHY/BACKGROUND
The Diabi was born alone into a great, big world, his egg having been one that was stolen from the nest by one faction or another, he doesn't know nor does he particularly care which it was though. How his egg came to be lost, that was another mystery that he has clear idea about though if you were to ask him he would say that, even as an egg, he was too powerful to be kept and that he'd escaped! Boasting on his part but that is one thing the Diabi does quite well.
He kept himself alive for a time by surviving on what he would refer to as small, stupid creatures such as rodents, insects, and birds the little one did what he could to make his way in the world by himself though there were times where it was quite rough. Food could be a pain to get a hold of when the weather was bad, there were always bigger creatures hounding him, and the dragons... well, he'd done his damnedest to avoid them to the best of his ability while he was a little Keinling.
Much to his relief, not that he would ever to admit to needing them, a small pack of Drakein, not of his ilk, instead they were a group of Gaili, but they seemed willing to take him in regardless of what he was. After all they'd found him as nothing more than an underweight, hissing, and lonely, little thing and still they welcomed him into their group. It was something, thinking back on it now, he doesn't quite understand. He wasn't of their clan, he was weak, and he was at the time quite useless and still they took him in and helped to get him back on his feet, feeding him and fattening him up to a healthy weight. Not something he thought that he would do in kind were he to find a lost Keinling but he isn't positive on that. The situation has never come up after all so he hasn't had a chance to test his resolve.
While he wasn't as close to them as he might have been were he to have hatched in their presence, he does like them well enough, though that is yet another of those things he would never admit to. It seems the idea of letting anyone think that he actually likes someone as a manner stronger then one feels for their servants doesn't sit well with the arrogant, self serving creature. Nevertheless, despite acting as though he didn't need them, he still tended to spend his sleeping time curled up against the tail of the Gaili that was his foster mother but no closer than that. It was as though he was seeking affection, warmth, and the closeness of family from her but it had to be on his own terms. His mother responded by always curling her tail in a manner that it kept him safely surrounded throughout the night time hours. It was his foster mother that gave him the name Eyphah in fact, a thing he was grateful as he had nothing to go by before she gifted him with the name.
He stuck around with the group for some time, tending to wander off for a while on his own, going on adventures, gathering treasures, learning to hunt his own food, but always seeming to return to the pack, especially when he got himself beat up. They are the only ones that he feels comfortable around when it comes to those times where he's too injured or too tired to protect himself in the manner that he would like.
It was something he continued to do until he reached the age of Drakein, where he is at now, when he found himself with a powerful need to get stronger and to prove himself as being the best of the best. There are many out there who might not like some of of his worst habits or his worst traits but for some reason that is beyond his understand his foster mother seemed to just smile a gentle smile, never shaken by even the worst parts of him. She is probably the one that he loves the most to this day.
Thoughts on the Great Engagement: Good times are to be had here. Not only are there battles abound but the dead yield all of the best prizes! Sure, some might call him a grave robber or a carrion eater but he could care less about such insults, why cry over so called 'insults' that are completely true? If the shinies are involved that is all that matters to him, not the opinions of those so lowly compared to him, he is more than happy to pilfer these things from the dead despite the looks he might get. Not to mention that the free meal that comes in the form of fallen warriors is quite the tasty bonus!
Thoughts on the Dragons: Poor bastards, seems everyone is out to hunt these guys down for various reasons, himself included, and he is more than happy not to be them. Now if he there were a way that size and able to wreak as much destruction as they did, without the added problems of being hunted as one of them, he would take it. Ah well, you can't have everything you daydream about.
~ Eyphah in all of his beautiful glory, likely after having just eaten. The Diabi is a dangerous creature, one that likes to wander around, get into fight, order others around, and eat whatever happens to fall in front of him. The Drakein isn't one that should be trusted, not really, but he might help you out if you fall into one of the categories of creatures that he likes, if you are a follower type, or if you look delicious...
