It was actually a bit of a challenge on the part of the Diabi, to follow along after the pair of Aiskala knowing that when he did finally attack it was going to have to be done in a creative manner. Now that he really thought about it he had charged into that last battle, and then subsequently chased after his quarry, all while carrying his first Aiskala orb in his mouth. He would need to be careful so as not to lose his orb in this next battle he thought to himself as he flapped his wings, getting higher into the air so that he could get a real good look at his prey, wanting to plot out his next move. It wasn't that he planned on doing as D did, not in a million Drakein lifetimes, but he did at least want to come up with a plan that wouldn't involve him getting skewered on Aiskala spines. After a time inspecting them he decided on his method of killing this time around. It wouldn't be the first time that he'd used the technique either and it had been quite useful the last time he'd done it.
Grinning a bit as he recalled exactly what it was that happened last time he took aim and dove down toward where the dragons were flying a short distance under him, his large claws lashing out to slice the webbing of the bigger Aiskala's wing. There was a comical moment where it continued to flap rapidly, trying to save itself, before he took out the second wing, leaving it to plummet toward the ground... and then he rushed toward the second one, only able to score a single hit before it sped up. Good enough, it was bleeding and he would be able to find it later he thought to himself before he dove down toward where the other dragon had fallen, having left a bit crater and a splash of red against the snow. It was quite the sight to behold from above but it was even better from close up since he was able to see the orb that was glittering at the center of the carnage. His tail set to swishing before he landed, scooping up the orb to look it over before he spit the second one out into his other forefoot so he could admire them together, "Very nice."
After a moment of starring at the orbs in an awed manner he looked at the red stained snow again, starred at it for a time, then leaned over to take a bit bite of it. He lifted his head, swishing the bloody snow around for a moment, then grinned, "A bit like those slushie things the two-legs make." He mused to himself, rather liking the idea, and set to eating a bit more of the blood slush. It was rather good and made him think that he really aught to try to expand his knowledge of cooking passed just stews. Just look at how delicious this stuff was and it was so simple and easy to make. All you needed was snow and dragon's blood after all and you could make the most amazing treat around. It was something that had his tail swishing behind him a mile a minute as he ate a few more bites of the treat. After those bites those he told himself no more, he didn't want to risk freezing from the inside out after all. The stuff was cold, too cold to eat too much more of it, and he still needed to chase after the Aiskala that had gotten away. Reminding himself of this he pushed up off the ground, away from where he'd been eating blood slush, and hurried along in the direction the other dragon had gone.
"Time to finish what I started." He murmured to himself, tightening his grip on his orbs as he went, eager to finish that one off and add a third orb to his growing collection of pretty Aiskala orbs.
