This is My Pot Now!
Flopped over on his side, yawning in a manner that spoke of his great boredom, Eyphah found himself thinking on how it was time for him to be on his way. He'd been in Serenia more then long enough, got a decent amount of Ysali orbs for his trouble, and was eager to be on his way toward the windy continent of Ayr. He'd seen one of the dragons that came from that area, even won out against it in his fight with it, so he was more then eager to go after more of them. The one that he'd had the scuffle with had tasted amazing after all and he would love to devour a few more of them! First things first though, there was something of utmost important that he had to get his claws on, something that was integral to his journey from here on out, that being a cauldron. He'd seen it, the way that the two-legs used them for cooking, making all manner of fantastic smelling meals in them. He wanted one too!
While the Diabi hadn't quite mastered the skill of making fire, something that his friend D was likely a master of being a Firani, he was sure he'd get it eventually. He just had to keep at it, that was all, and with time he'd figure out the best way to go about starting a fire without the skills of a Firani. Wouldn't it be a shame though if he was able to figure out fire but find himself without a cook pot to make use of that fire? It wasn't something he'd allow to happen! He'd find himself an two-legs dwelling, one that had one of those big, metal cauldrons within it, and he'd take it for himself!
"You wait here for me, I will be back once I find the cauldron I need." He said to the orbs that he'd hidden within the crook of an big tree, hopping down from the branches, and scurried away from it at top speed. He didn't like leaving his treasures alone, there was that chance that they might be stolen after all, and as such he had to move fast. Find a dwelling, steal the cauldron, a quick in and out job! It was something that was sure he would be able to handle. He wondered if he should attempt one of D's sort of sneaky, sneaky plans... but saw no fun in it. Besides, the odds of the two-legs giving up the cauldron would be greater if he were to scare the life of of them he thought to himself, tail lashing behind him. Yes, he would do what he did best, he'd use fear to get what he wanted from these foolish birds he thought to himself. Not as though he hadn't done just that on other occasions in the past he thought to himself, grinning a bit as he thought of raid that he and D had made on that caravan. It hadn't gone the way that either of them would have liked but it had still been a wonderful time if you asked Eyphah.
As he reached the point where he was able to smell the two-legs he slowed down, pressing himself close to the ground, hiding himself in the shadows, and watched the closest house. It seemed quiet enough, maybe they were out for the day? Interesting, if a tough disappointing he thought to himself as he trotted closer, peeking in the window, then couldn't help but to grin, "Ohhh... yessssss." He hissed out, seeing the very thing he wanted sitting there inside within the otherwise empty fire bit. No fire meant that the metal wouldn't be too hot to deal with, a bonus if the Diabi had ever seen one, "Alright, here we go." He said a moment before he was crashing through the front door, gleeful over how easily it had crumbled beneath his weight, before he was trotting forward to where the big cook pot sat, "There you are, beautiful, time for you to find a new home with me." He said, grabbing hold of it and set to work dragging it out the front door. He gave pause as he went by a table, spotting a cloth sack there, and grabbed that as well, tossing it into the pot too. He didn't want his orbs getting scratched up so best he got a bag to transport them he thought to himself before continuing about his theft of the pot.
He was just heading out the broken down door when he heard screams, turning toward them, seeing what he assumed to be the family returning from... well, whatever it was that two-legs did when they weren't killing each other. He'd assume gardening given that they were carrying baskets of vegetables and fruits with them. Were they baskets of meat he'd of stolen those too, given that it was at best Haustar food, he had zero interest. He barred his teeth, snarling a bit before he gave a resounding roar, one that caused the two-legs to freeze in place before he grabbed the cook pot in his forefeet and launched himself into the air, flying off as quickly as he could. There were more cries from those he'd left behind, likely confused as to why a Diabi had stolen their pot, but he didn't much care. He'd celebrate soon enough he thought to himself, wanting to get his orbs and be on his way. Between this theft and the raid on the caravan the two-legs were sure to stare looking for him. Best that they checked the forest while he was heading for Ayr, it would make his life a whole lot easier.
A short time after he'd arrived at the tree he was putting his newest Ysali orbs into the sack that he'd take, tightened it, put the sack into the pot, and he was once more taking to the air. It was time to go, Ayr awaited him along with its silvery dragons, and he didn't want to leave them waiting he thought to himself, grinning all the while during the flight from Serenia onward toward his next destination.

'Greener Pastures'
Eyphah was in a terrible mood when he woke up, certain that he'd come to and find that someone had come through and took all of his orbs that he had fought so hard to get his claws on... but much to his surprise not only was he no longer where he'd fallen but his orbs were laying there in front of him, glittering brightly, as though just waiting for him. He starred at them for a long moment, eyes narrowing, before he growled at them, "How did we get here?" As though a trio of glittering orbs would be able to reveal such a thing to him. A silly thought but one that would have made his current, completely confusing, predicament a lot easier to hash out. The hows and whys would need to wait though he thought to himself as he dragged himself to his feet, stretched out all over, hissing front from time to time as some of his wounds twinged, before he looked down at his orbs, "We really should get you back to the others." These pretty Ayrala orbs needed to join the other orbs that he'd gathered in the sack that he was storing them in. They would be safe there after all until he was able to get them home so that they could join the many other orbs that he'd gathered until this point. Not to mention that he really didn't want to hang around this place when he had zero idea how he ended up here, especially since it wasn't a place he knew.
"Hn... why is it that I smell Kiandri." He muttered to himself, tail lashing, as he gathered up his orbs. He knew there were no Kiandri dragons here in Ayr so why he could smell that particular scent in the air was beyond him. Perhaps he'd taken a blow to the head that was messing with his senses he thought to himself, teeth barred, before he started away from the shadowy area that he'd awoken in. The Diabi was so caught up in making sure that his orbs got to where he was going that he was oblivious to the fact that someone was watching him at the moment, an older Kiandri Dovaa often referred to as the Dovaa Sage, who merely shook his head when the Drakein ran off and returned to what he was doing. The fact that the strange, overconfident beast was alright seemed to be more then enough for the guy. He saw no reason to chasing after him him or demanding thanks from the beast. Better that he help him out so that he would continue on his way, preferably away from Ayr, instead of sticking around to continue to rile up the local Ayrala population. They had been impossible to live with of late due to the presence of such a brutal hunter.
Once Eyphah was out of the man's sight he was back to his reading and Eyphah was back to what he was best at, purring over the various orbs that he'd gathered. The mere fact that he had so many of them with him at the moment was a glorious sight to behold... but he was still certain that even with this man orbs in his possession, as well as the ones that he had back home, that it wasn't enough. He needed more, more orbs, more different sorts, as many as he could gather, so that he would be able to become a Drakeinian. That meant one thing though, didn't it? It was time to go home, back to Eowyn, back to his clan, and he could start to hunt dragons there he thought to himself, tail lashing behind him. There were various breeds that roamed Eowyn, the Kiandri amongst them, and he found himself wondering if that was why he thought he was smelling Kiandri before. Maybe it was his subconscious telling him that those were the dragons that he had to go after next? It really was a glorious idea if you asked him, it meant that he would get himself more orbs as well as a new source of something delicious to munch on.
"Alright, to Eowyn it is." He was sure his mother would like him to stop in and tell her of his progress after all. Not to mention that he had to drop off his mass of orbs in his hidden cave, as well as his cauldron, and then he would go hunting for prey in a more familiar land. He knew once he went back to Eowyn that he probably wouldn't be going anywhere else for a while, but he didn't mind all that much. He would rather hunt in familiar territory then risk getting lost in places that he didn't know. Not to mention there was a lot of Eowyn to explore, a lot of which that he didn't even know about like that weird lab where he fought the Drakein Abomination, and so many battles that took place there. He'd have a ton of delicious food, all the orbs he could carry, and he would be close to his clan. Win, win, win if you asked him.
Eyphah was quick to pack all of his orbs up into his bag, gleeing over them one last time, before the sack was put into the cauldron. He pushed the heavy metal cauldron out of the cave, grabbed it in his forefeet, and took to the sky. Time for him to be on his way, to 'greener pastures' as it were, even though where he was going was as far from green as one could possibly get.

A Not Exactly Friendly Chat
Tallulah didn't think that the big, scarred up Diabi was all that too pleased with him and the fact that he had tried to get himself eaten by that dragon. It didn't take all that long either for the other to prove his assumptions correct as the big guy suddenly whirled around to face him, starring down at Tallulah with those glowing red eyes of his, and gave a rather displease growling sound, "A-Ahh... I-I can explain!" He suddenly cried out at the Diabi, as though afraid that if he didn't come up with the right sort of explanation that he was going to end up getting himself eaten or something. He couldn't see this guy as being a sweet and fluffy sort, not with the way that he looked, no this guy was utterly terrifying and it was all that Tallulah could do to keep from trying to run from him. What had he done to deserve this Fate? First he was chased by a mean, hungry dragon, and then his 'savior' turned out to be from the scariest clan out there. He had a moment where he found himself rethinking even having left the ocean. Had he known it would be this scary up here maybe he'd of stayed home for at least a little bit longer.
The Diabi's barbed tail lashed from side to side for a moment before he gave a snorting sound, "You can explain? Explain what?! Why a wimp like you is roaming around Eowyn trying to get turned into dragon chow?" He spat out, what was it with this guy and seeming to just make Eyphah have the overwhelming desire to shake him, "Not to mention that you are... are... Bah, I don't even know what you are but obviously you are some sort of cripple! You shouldn't be Eowyn roaming alone your condition!" This Drakein before him was strange, it didn't have any wings! Surely that alone was enough to make the rest of the clan this one was from want to keep him safe, right? Why were they just letting him roam around on his own in strange and dangerous lands?! Someone like this needed to be kept under lock and key if you asked him, preferably before he got himself or others into trouble.
There was a long moment where Tallulah just starred at him before he shook his head, barring his teeth, giving the best growl he could muster despite being so afraid of the big Diabi. His courage seemed to falter there though and as he tried to speak up again it just came out as a stuttering mess, "I-I am not a wimp! Nor am g-gonna be d-dragon chow!" He cried out, alright, maybe that wasn't true. He couldn't say that he was feeling all that brave at the moment, if anything he was feeling nothing more then the desire to go hide somewhere. What came next though had him starring at the Diabi, his mouth agape, before he gave a hiss, "C-Cripple?! I am not a cripple! What are you talking about?" He hissed out, not sure where that had come from but he wasn't going to stand for being made out to be some sort of weak body wimp! He had his pride and no matter how shaken up he was at the moment he wouldn't let this mean b*****d take that from him.
"Not cripple? Look at you! You don't have any wings! Or maybe you haven't noticed that? Are you so sheltered as to think that is normal?" Eyphah demanded, wondering if this one had gotten a blow to the head while he was out roaming the hot sands of Eowyn. Given how he was acting he wouldn't doubt such a thing had occurred.
Tallulah shook his head from side to side then said, "O-Of course I don't have wings! I am Merkein you idiot! None of us have wings, we have gills and fins!" He said, lifting up on his back legs so that he could point with the front ones. Of course the moment the words left his mouth he realized all manner of things wrong with them. First off he'd called the scary Drakein an 'idiot' which likely wouldn't go over well, one of of that he'd told him about Merkein as though the Diabi should know about them. Given how few knew about them maybe acting as though the Diabi should know about them was rude? He was just a little riled up over this guy thinking that he was a cripple just because he had no wings. None of his people had wings so there was absolutely nothing wrong with them! They were just different was all!
Another long silenced dragged out between them before Eyphah was suddenly circling around Tallulah like a predator hunting prey, inspecting every last inch of him as though seeing hi for the first time. After what felt like an eternity to Tallulah the Diabi suddenly... chuckled? Lifting up on his back legs as well Eyphah gave Tallulah a pat on the head, "A Merkein, eh? Never heard of you... but I think for the moment maybe it would be best if you stuck by me. I have a feeling that if I let you go that you are gonna get yourself killed in an instant." He said, not sure why he was suddenly feeling so charitable, maybe it was because he found himself face to face with something so new and different? He'd never seen nor heard of a Merkein before, found himself wanting nothing more then to learn more about them, see how tough they were, and try to train this softy to keep him from dying. Would be a shame if something so rare was killed due to an overabundance of stupidity.
Settling down so that he was sitting the Diabi then announced, "My name is Eyphah and from now on I am your teacher." Words said with such confidence and strength that Tallulah could only nod his head stutter out, "I-I'm... I'm T-Tallulah..."

The Gaili Orbs
It had been a couple days since Eyphah had picked Tallulah up and he was basically treating the Merkein as his pet project. It seemed as though the idea of getting to train someone else was exciting to the big Diabi though personally Tallulah couldn't help but to wonder if perhaps the Diabi was just slacking off on his own training. It wasn't something that he would dare to suggest though because he was more then certain that it would just get him into a world of trouble with his new 'teacher'. Best that he just follow along after him, keep his mouth shut, and do as he was told to do so that he had a better chance of making it through this adventure in learning.
"Alright, so first off the biggest problem is that the Kiandri aren't a 'starter' dragon." Eyphah was saying, turning to look over at the Merkein, looking him over, taking in what weapons he had and what he didn't have that Eyphah did. This one seemed a lot... softer, didn't he? It would make things a lot more difficult for him in the long run but maybe he'd be able to figure it out given time and a chance to test himself against others? The lack of a barb on his tail, a lack of scythe claws, a lack of lots of spines and such, it really did make him wonder what it was that this one was going to be good at... though he wondered, would he able the sort that used magic? Eyphah found the idea of using those powers a bit on the dull side, instead wanting to be in there and fight in a hands on manner. Still... if that was what this one was going to be good at then at least there was hope for Tallulah.
Giving a little rumble in his throat he continued, "Serenia, we should go to Serenia. There you can fight those worthless Ysali. Nothing really worth fighting, not for me at least, but they would be good fodder to throw you against." He said, grinning then as he thought about pushing Tallulah into a fight against those stupid green skins. He nodded again, "Yes... that is what we will do! We will go... there and... hm... do you smell that?" He asked, seeming to forget what they were talking about as he caught the scent of something in the air, the heavy scent of... carrion? His tail set to wagging behind him and he looked rather pleased over the scent and suddenly training Tallulah was all but forgotten, "Come on, smells like there is something tasty to be had not far from here." He said, suddenly racing ahead.
Tallulah looked there for a moment, head cocked to one side, confusion in his eyes, before he rushed after him as quickly as he could. He wasn't sure what was so great about carrion but if Eyphah wanted to find it he couldn't do anything about it. Best that he stick with him since it seemed that he had a plan about training... at least one that would come into play when the Diabi wasn't as distracted as he seemed to be at the moment.
Up ahead of him there was a cry of delight from Eyphah, one that had Tallulah pushing himself to run that much faster after his self proclaimed teacher, wondering what it was that had him so excited. As he finally reached the Diabi's side, his chest heaving from the exertion, he looked up at him, "W-What... what is it? S-Some good c-carrion?" He asked in a wheezing tone of voice before looking in front of him. As he took in what was there his eyes went wide and he lifted his head to look from side to side, "Ahh... what the..." It looked as though there was one damn impressive and violent battle here. The sand was a mess, stained red with blood, a few massive rocks looked as though they had been up ended, the ground was all shifted oddly, and there were a couple bodies that belonged to the two legs... laying near to those bodies was something even more interesting too, orbs. Blinking a couple times he turned to look over at Eyphah in a wide eyed manner, "They... they were fighting dragons?"
Eyphah nodded, trotting forward to poke at one of the orbs before scooping it up, looking it over, then grinned, "Hello beautiful, I haven't seen one of your kind around here before." He purred, sniffing at the orb before smirking, "I think it belongs to one of those rare Gaili guys that are supposed to live in this area. Horrible powerful dragons, never seen one before but it seems like these two fools thought to take them on." He said, tossing one of the orbs to Tallulah, deciding to keep the other one for himself, "Their loss, our gain, keep a tight hold on that one, you don't want to lose it." He said before he leaned over, grabbing hold of one of the two-legs in his jaws, "Grab the other, they are dinner tonight." He said around the one in his mouth.
Tallulah starred down at the other two-legs in an uncertain manner, never having eaten one of them before, but did as he was told and grabbed hold of it by the leg. He didn't want to starve and they were already dead so it wasn't as though he'd killed them, right? It would be a waste to just leave them to rot he told himself, moving to follow along after Eyphah, "So... after dinner, then Serenia?" He asked around the leg in his mouth.
Eyphah paused, chuckled around the meat in his mouth, then nodded, having forgotten all about that for a moment there, "Yeah, dinner, some rest tonight, then we make our way to Serenia so you can start your battle training. I think that even someone like you can hold your own there." He said, as though that were what he was planning all along. No reason to let Tallulah know that the free orb and the free meat had caused him to momentarily forget about all that. He knew what he was doing after all... for real.

Lazing in Serenia
After he'd battle with and eaten his last Ysali Eyphah hadn't really thought that he would end up back in Serenia again with a rather good reason. He supposed that what he was currently up to would count as just that he thought to himself with a chuckle as he flopped over into the soft grass, starring off in the direction that he'd sent his 'student' in. The trip here had been a rather interesting one, one in which he'd flown along above the swimming Tallulah, taking in how fast that his student actually was while he was in the water. While he had seemed to be a bit on the wimpy side when it came to how he dealt with things on the land Eyphah had seen that he wasn't so bad when in the water. Still, a lot of training was needed to get him stronger on land. How else would Tallulah to get strong enough to survive after all, let alone become the Merkein version of a Drakeinian, if he didn't put his all into it? It was up to Eyphah to make sure that the guy got tougher, a lot tougher he thought to himself before he stretched out all over, purring a bit, letting his eyes sink shut in a lazy fashion.
He knew though that he couldn't just think about the here and now though, that he had to also think about the future as well. What had he done? After devouring a good amount of Ysali in this area, as well as collecting their orbs, he'd gone on to the continent of Ayr for a bit, hadn't he? He'd fight a bit with the delicious Ayrala while he was there and then finally he'd gone back home to Eowyn. It was a lot of training, a lot of dragons killed and eaten, a lot of orbs collected... it was why he was so angry at Tallulah, the fact that he had just wandered into Eowyn and had nearly gotten killed for it. Sure, the Merkein had explained to him that he hadn't thought about it, hadn't though about the dangers, he'd just left the water after all to take his first steps onto the land. While he seemed to be the same age as a Drakein he was still almost like a Keinling when it came to what happened when it came to what happened on the surface. All in all it really made him think that the ones that were to blame in this instance were those in Tallulah's family group. How could they just let him leave? They should have warned him what was up on the land, should have given him a good idea where to start, were they trying to kill their own off? Idiots, all of them, bunch of fish brains!
Bah, no matter, no reason to hiss and growl about those that he didn't even know, not when Tallulah had him now. Eyphah would see to him, see to his training, and see to his safety he thought to himself. It was likely something to do with how he was raised, the way that his mother had saved him from a dangerous situation when he was a tiny little Keinling that made him want to do the same for the Merkein. His mother was a good and powerful Gaili female, one that had taken care of him, wouldn't let him get in over his head, and he felt that this was his chance to do the same for someone else. There was also the fact that Tallulah was something rather rare, which was something that made Eyphah like him all that more.Sure Tallulah wasn't an orb or a gem but it didn't meant that it made him want to keep him any less. All pretty, sparkly, rare things should be his if you asked the Diabi and due to the fact that Tallulah was all three of those things he didn't much mind keeping him around.
"Too young to be thinking about making a group of my own." He muttered to himself, not wanting to think about that yet. He wanted to be stronger before doing such a thing, wanted to be a Drakeinian before that, but he was starting to think that Fate had other things in mind for him. What if this was a sign? What if Tallulah was meant to be the first member of his group? Though he really felt as though he should go out and find D, he really needed a strategist in his group were he to form one... stuff like what that one did, thinking stuff, that wasn't for him. He just wanted to go around fighting and killing! Helping Tallulah fell under that sort of thing but other then that... he could really D. He would do that soon... ish. For the moment though he would stick to his current pet project, that being Tallulah. Hearing the approaching foot steps of the Merkein he pushed himself to his feet, ready to see how he'd done while hunting the Ysali...

To Ayr We Go!
The two Drakein had settled down for the night in the deep forest of Serenia, with Tallulah happily purring over the trio of green orbs that he had been able to obtain during his battles. Three orbs! Three beautiful, wonderful, glittering orbs, orbs that were going to help him to get stronger one day! He couldn't help but to wag his tail and smile at Eyphah, "Aren't they great, Eyphah? I was thinking of maybe trying to get some more of them when the sun rises." He chirped happily, his tail wagging behind him. He wanted more them after all, lots more! It seemed as though it were kind of an addictive hobby once he started and Tallulah wanted nothing more to get as many of the pretty orbs as Eyphah said that he had gathered thus far. The Diabi made it seem as though he was going to need to gather a whole mountain of them, something that was a little intimidating to Tallulah but surely he could do it, right? He nodded at the thought before he set to tapping a the tip of his claw against one of the orbs in a happy manner.
Pausing in his glee he lifted his head up to look away from the trio of orbs and over to Eyphah instead, starring at him for a moment before he spoke up, "You know... there was that 'very important' thing that you were going to tell me about..." He reminded Eyphah, watching the Diabi instead of just gazing at the pretty orbs that he'd gathered so far. He was still curious as to what it was that Eyphah was thinking about so hard. What was the 'very important' thing that he was planning on telling about and when was it that he going to be telling him it? Soon he hoped, it was starting to drive him crazy with curiosity he thought to himself.
Eyphah grinned a bit as the Peisio purred over his orbs before he was suddenly questioning him, something that caused the dark colored Drakein to perk up some before he glanced toward the North, "I know that you are wanting to fight for more Ysali orbs, I understand since they are pretty, but I think that maybe we should move on toward a new land and new prey. You did well enough against the Ysali but we don't want you to grow complacent or lazy. There are other dragons out there, ones that are stronger then the weakling Ysali, and the ones called the 'Ayrala' are the ones you should hunt next." He told him, not at all surprised by the look of shock that was on the features of the Merkein. He could tell instantly from that expression that he was likely thinking that they were going to stick around Serenia much longer but he didn't see any point. Given how quickly it was that Tallulah was able to take down the Ysali, even after his initial desire to run away from them at least, the Diabi knew sticking around would be a waste of time. He needed to continue to fight stronger and stronger opponents after all, it was the only way that he would get stronger himself. Sitting around Serenia too long would make him get far too comfortable, something he wouldn't allow!
"So... Ayrala dragons then..." Tallulah murmured, not sure what he thought about the idea about moving on so quickly. He wasn't sure that he was really that good at fighting yet, not nearly as good as Eyphah seemed to think that he was. What if it was just luck that had allowed him to defeat the Ysali dragons? What if he wasn't ready to go to Ayr yet? He couldn't help but to fret a bit, not wanting to get too ahead of himself since that might cause him to get hurt or killed or something... but looking at Eyphah, at the confidence that he had about him, he felt that he maybe he should trust him? Surely if things started to go too badly then he would jump in... right? At least he sure hoped so. Eyphah didn't seem the sort that would just let him get eaten... alright, so then he could do this he told himself despite the fact that he felt almost dizzy from nervousness at the moment.
Shifting himself so that his head was resting on the ground, his nose between a couple of his orbs, he starred up at Eyphah, "So... when are we leaving then?" He asked, tail lashing slowly from side to side as he waited for what he was almost certain would be a time frame that was far too soon for his living. He felt as though they were racing toward the finish line and already he was starting to feel a bit as though he were out of breath... but he wanted to catch up to his teacher one day so he supposed he couldn't slack off, could he? Besides, Eyphah didn't seem the sort that would allow someone to go against one of his ideas.
"In the morning. For now we are gonna rest, sleep off our dinner, and then be on our way when the sun rises." He said as he flopped over onto one side lazily, giving Tallulah a glance through one glowing eye before he said, "You will be fine. This is how we toughen you up! Soon enough you will be defeating dragons left and right in your sleep with a pile of orbs in your lair." He said in a reassuring manner. With that he closed his eyes and was snoozing away, seeming as though he hadn't a care in the world. He seemed to have all the confidence in the world in the plan he'd laid out and Tallulah knew that for the time trusting Eyphah was probably his best bet.
Sure, it intimidated him a little knowing that he was going to be jumping to a whole other species of dragons in a whole new land so soon but... he could do this. He would have to keep telling himself that over and over like a mantra to get himself to believe it but surely it was the truth. He was sure that this was something that Eyphah himself had done, right? He'd fought the Ysali, the Ayrala, and the Kiandri as well as others he didn't even know about. His was the lead that Tallulah had to follow! Following someone strong, learning from him, it would in turn make Tallulah strong! With this in mind he let his eyes close, drew in some steadying breaths, and willed himself to sleep. Today would be a big, busy day, and he didn't want to be groggy since that would prove to make everything more difficult. A good night's sleep was a must in this situation and he meant to get just that.
