Creeping along through the thick forested area of Serenia the large Diabi with the scarred up hide couldn't help but to smirk a bit as he saw the Ysali that he'd been tracking for a while. He knew this one well, with the markings on its flank that he'd given the green dragons during a run in he had with it earlier. He'd attacked it once before and it had fled like the coward he was, though not before he'd gotten a good hit in. Those marks were special, they were meant to mark a Ysali, to let him know if he had tried his claws at a battle with that particular dragon in the past. Knowing that this was the one he meant to take the creature down at some point, no matter if it he had to chase it across the continent! The black and blood red Drakein suddenly lunged forth from the shadows of the woods that he'd been sticking to, giving his best roar, as he landed on the Ysali's back.
There was a bit of a tussle between the two of them then, some bites and scratches were exchanged along with a lot of snarling was exchanged, and he was sent flying off of his prey and into the air. As the Diabi caught himself midair with his rapidly flapping wings, Eyphah barred his teeth, snarled in a displeased manner, then he chased after it, "Cowardly Ysali! I will get your orb one of these days!" He hissed out as he watched it flee from him in an impressively rapid manner.
Let it run, it wasn't as though it had escaped unscathed, it had more wounds upon its green hide that he'd left behind, more marks to show that the Ysali belonged to him. He could only hope that some other fool out there didn't go after 'his' Ysali because he would have to make that person into a snack as punishment. After giving up the chase, certain that he could follow along after the dragon's blood trail, he gave a bit of a smirk. Lifting up onto his back legs Eyphah set to licking off his claws of the blood that clung to them, purring over the taste of it, "Mmm, Ysali really are too tasty for their own good, such a shame I can't make a meal of them." He said, tail swishing before he set to inspecting himself. He had a few new scratches to add to his collection, none of them bothering him enough for him to do anything but given them a quick lick, before he went trotting after the trail of blood drops that the Ysali had left behind, wondering if he'd wounded it well enough that he might be able to catch up with it for a second time in one day. If he was lucky he had and as such he started to trot along that much quicker, eager to see if he couldn't catch up with his tasty prey.

Gellion had been hunting for a ysali orb; the sort of item that was only obtained through the senseless bloodshed of the beast. They were not your everyday fare, these dragons; fierce, large, and dangerous. Exactly his type of prey.
He had caught sight of a larger, scarred beast, foraging in the undergrowth of the forest, and then sight of another beast; a black and red Diabi; preparing to pounce. While rushing into the fray while both combatants were engaged would have been amusing, he held back; assessing. It had only been dumb luck that neither had initially noticed him; downwind, and too small to make enough noise near their hearing. The duellist drew his blade as he crouched near the base of a tree; dark orbs staring as the two dragons tussled and the ysali ferreted. It came right past him, and with a surge of his legs he leap at it; hooking a foot around the wing, driving his sword toward the beast's flank; his cut drew blood but the cunning dragon flicked out its wing and Gellion lost his grip and balance as he collided with a tree.
A few seconds passed in twirling confusion before he managed to shake off the hit and sit up slowly. What wily prey.
"Clever little hen." He ran a finger along his blade, licking at the blood that came from the dragon. It was a pity they faded away when they died. It could have fed a whole town for a month. Smoked, or barbecued-- definitely the right type. "This fox would gobble you right up."
Then of course, someone else echoed his own thoughts-- back in the clearing where the dragons had tussled.
The Oblivionite dusted himself off; treading lightly and directionlessly for a moment, his tongue sliding along the edge of his blade slowly, like a child with cake-mix. His bottomless eyes caught on the Diabi still sitting in the clearing; taking in the large, more powerful beast. A curious brow rose, he didn't think that dragons hunted their own kind- perhaps a territorial thing?

The Diabi dragon seemed to realize that he wasn't alone all of a sudden, turning his head slowly to glance over at the one that was standing there, then gave a little snorting sound. A two-legs, eh? Instantly the idea of go after that one, making a quick snack of him before continuing on the hunt, came to mind... but he shoved the thought aside. While he wasn't against eating Oblivionites, they were tasty after all if prepared right, but this one was too small. That was about the only exception that tended to hold off Eyphah's hunger, the fact that he wouldn't eat anything about the same age and size as a Keinling.
"Feh, lucky little morsel." He muttered, turning his attention back to the direction that the Ysali had gone, sniffing at the air, before he started off in that direction. Knowing there was someone else hunting in the area only pushed him that much more. He wouldn't be share 'his' dragons or 'his' orbs with some baby two-legs he thought to himself. Instead he would catch up with that Ysali first and claim the orb for himself!

Gellion sheathed his blade as the other dragon passed him by; he wasn't one to attack a fellow hunter; at least not yet. But while another might have bruised pride over the violent tussle and win from the Ysali; Gellion knew when to step back; he simply did not want it as badly as the other dragon did; that was clear enough.
He remained in the clearing until he was alone; he was no fool; the other beast had given him the sort of look normally reserved for prime cuts of mutton; and he didn't want it catching him unguarded while they hunted the same prey. Still; if they met again, he wouldn't be so quick to back off, he decided.
