After yesterday's battle the Diabi was pretty damn pumped! He'd taken out one of the weakling Ysali by complete accident after all! It wasn't even one of those that he had marked as his own, no, it was just a random one that happened by and was cut down by his claws. It was enough to make him laugh out loud by just how silly it had been. Still, the fact that the one that he had marked yesterday had escaped him was plaguing the Diabi Drakein something fierce. While the win had made him feel so elated yesterday, not to mention the wonderful taste of the dragon marrow that he'd munched on after the battle was over, he couldn't get over it. He had a Ysali out there, marked and waiting for him, and the foolish thing thought that it had escaped from him forever! He really did need to find it, chase it down, and finish it off so that all of the Ysali out there would be made well aware that he wasn't something that should be screwed with! He was a terrible, dangerous force of pure Drakein power and their orbs all belonged to him, they just didn't know it yet.
Crawling out of the nest that he had made for himself in the depths of a decent sized cave he found in the forest, one that might very well have been a dragon's lair at once point, Eyphah set to stretching out all over, "Mmm, time that I get going." He purred, tail swishing from side to side, a gleeful look on his face as he trotted along. He wasn't sure how easy it would be to find the trail of yesterday's marked Ysali but he would do his best to do so, to find the creature, and to make a tasty snack of it! It would be be a battle to remember, that he was certain of! Well that was provided of course that he could find the beast that he'd marked. From what he'd seen thus far Serenia was a big place and he had yet to really hunt down and take all of the Ysali that he had marked thus far. Still, there was a chance that he would run across at least one of them, surely? Giving a nod to himself he continued to trot along, sniffing at the air as he went. It was a hunt that started off as a bit difficult, as he didn't catch the scent of Ysali in the air straight away, but when he did it was quite heavy, making him wonder if perhaps more then one of them had gathered nearby?
The mere notion that more then one of those delicious beasts might be nearby and without his grasp... it was enough to not only make the Diabi's tail swish in delight but he was also starting to drool a bit. How he wanted to make one or more of them into breakfast whilst also harvesting their orbs to be put forth toward his slowly growing collection of them. There weren't enough orbs or delicious dragons to slake his hungry for them, not that he'd run into yet at least, and he meant to keep it up until he finally found what he was looking for, that being enough of those glittering orbs to help transform him into something of a grander nature. Not an easy things to accomplish but he would try his best, wanting to strive ever toward becoming something truly powerful, which meant becoming more then just a Drakein.
Eyphah crouched low to the ground when he got close enough to the Ysali that he could hear them moving around, his long, curved, scythe like claws tapping against the ground to show his eagerness to get to battle. He drew in a deep breath and then he was racing forward, lunging forth from the shadows and headlong into battle, lunging for the closest Ysali. It was a battle for the history books, or so the Diabi believed, as he took down the first Ysali as though it were nothing but a little whelp. He was standing there, eyes alight, watching the creature crumble apart, when he realized something, "Wait..." Weren't there two of them? He found himself looking around for a moment before he realized something amazing and amusing, the second one had fled! It had left it's cohort for dead, chosing instead to save its own hide, "Ahahahaha... what a complete coward." He said, finding that to be far too funny.
Shaking his head the Diabi turned back to the Ysali skeleton before him, "Seems your friend was a coward, probably for the best. I bet it would have scarred that one for life to see me make your bones into breakfast!" He told the skeleton before he set to happily crunching up the various bones with his strong jaws to get at the marrow in the middle. Only once he'd eaten what he wanted from the dead Ysali did he collect his orb, heading on his way toward his temporary stash so that he could drop off his newest orb. Three down, maybe more to go!
