It was the loud sound of a Kiandri roaring that first caught the attention of the big Diabi, who was already on the trail of a dragon. For a split second he found himself wondering if it was 'his' dragon and what it was that had the thing riled up... and then a thought of complete horror came to him. Someone else was fighting with his dragon ad trying to steal it from him! The thought was one that he didn't even want to consider due to the pure rage that it sent through him and instantly he turned to flying that direction as fast as his wings would carry him. He was going to find the one that was trying to steal his dragon and he would trounce that foolish b*****d he thought to himself darkly, his teeth bare, a snarling sound coming from his throat. The closer he got the angrier he got... that was until he spotted the Kiandri and the one that it was... chasing? Now that was a surprise... his dragon wasn't being attacked by someone else, it was attacking someone else.

Upon seeing the one who was being chased, a Drakein from the looks of him, he couldn't help but to be horrified. Had the Kiadri ripped the Drakein's wings off?! He didn't know that particular Drakein but it really didn't matter who he was, what mattered was what had been done to him. The idea of having his wings ripped off was one that disgusted the Diabi like nothing else and instantly he was diving down toward the Kiandri, crashing into it, sending the creature rolling before landing between the dragon and its prey. He'd already taken the brightly colored Drakein's wings he wouldn't let the dragon take anymore!

Tallulah wanted nothing more at the moment then to cry... what was it with this awful dragon and wanting to eat him?! He'd done nothing to it, didn't growl at it, didn't approach it, didn't attack or provoke it, he'd just been walking along on his own merry little way, trying to figure out which direction the ocean was in, and the thing had come at him! Tallulah had no idea where he was going at the moment, he was sort of just running in an arbitrary direction, trying to put distance between himself and the one that was wanting to eat him. It was hard to do though, the dry air was starting to get him to him, making him weaker, making him slower, making him gasp for a breath. He was almost certain at this point that he was going to be tackled and eaten by the irate dragon at any moment. He found himself almost saddened by this fact, wishing that he hadn't left the safety of the ocean now... but he'd been so curious as to what might be outside of it! Less so now though given all he'd found thus far was any dragons and a lot of sand...

Just when he was about to give up a dark shape crashed down between him and the dragon, something that caused the exhausted Tallulah to come to a halt, turning around to look at the one that was standing between him and the dragon, and he couldn't help but stare. The creature was more then a little intimating, all red and black, covered in scars, he had sharp teeth, sharp claws, a strange barb on the end of his tail. Everything about him screamed 'dangerous' but Tallulah couldn't help but to find himself instantly siding with the dark one, wanting nothing more then to be saved by him. He was so tired, he doubted he could run any further, and as such this scarred up Diabi seemed to be his only hope...

Eyphah heard the wingless Drakein behind him come to a halt, heard it's rough, hard breathing, and his full attention was then on the Kiandri that had chased after the other Drakein until he was in such a state. It was enough to completely enrage the Diabi, to know that this dragon was off chasing Drakein around, tormenting them, and treating them like they were the prey. Oh no, silly, stupid dragon, did it know that if anyone here was a prey animal it was the dragon? They were the ones that coughed up those glittering orbs after all, not a Drakein, and after all they should know better then to chase around their betters he thought to himself. Teeth barred the Diabi charged forward, slamming his full weight into the Kiandri's side, causing it to stagger, before his jaws snapped shut on it's throat, teeth sinking in deep enough that he was able to taste blood.

Normally he was one to enjoy the battle, to claws, bite, and stick the dragons with his tail barb, making the battle exciting and interesting... this time though he ended it all in one swift, brutal bite, crushing the creature's windpipe, and it was soon melting into nothing... and much to his surprise instead of just one orb there were two left behind. He starred down at the pair of glittering orbs before he walked toward them, licking his maw as he did so. What was this?! Why did this one leave behind two orbs? He found himself starring a moment before turning slowly to stare at the brightly colored Drakein a moment, then back again. Was it because of him? Was it because there was more then one of them around and the dragon had coughed up enough orbs so that they could each have one? Was a strange species dragons were... but useful as least. There was the part of him that said he should get both orbs, he'd done all the work after all, but given that the other Drakein had been such good bait he supposed he deserved one. Not to mention he needed something to make up for those lost wings.

Scooping up one orb with his forefoot he tossed it to the other Drakein, scooping the other up to claim it for himself, before he moved toward the brightly colored Drakein, "That one is yours, put it in your collection." He said, more then sure that this one was trying to gather enough orbs to become Drakeinian, right? Of course, why wouldn't he be? It would be foolish not to strive for such power after all! Or at least that was how the Diabi felt.

Tallulah watched in wide eyed awe as the dark colored Drakein moved at a swift pace, seeming to move from where he was standing to on top of the dragon in the blink of an eye and just as swiftly he seemed to finished the dragon off. It was a sight he'd never before seen, the way that the dragon seemed to crumble away into nothingness as the Diabi killed it. Left behind there in the sands, glittering in the bright sun, were two beautiful orbs. Now those, those were something he'd heard about before, beautiful orbs that held the power to turn those like himself and the Diabi, as well as other Drakein, into something amazing, into Drakeinian. It was something that he wanted very much to become so to have one of those orbs suddenly tossed his way he couldn't help but to be shocked.

Starring down at it he lifted one foot to poke at it, starring with rather wide eyes, before looking over at the Diabi, "Ahh... I thank you... but I did nothing." He said, watching as the other approached him, talking about how he should put the orb into his collection. This Diabi had a collection of orbs?! The way that he fought he supposed that he shouldn't be too shocked but still, a collection of them, it made it sound as though he had a lot of them. As for Tallulah the one that the Diabi had given him, it would be the first one, and he found himself turning to look at the Diabi and said, "I... thank you, this is a marvelous gift, the first orb I have ever obtained." He murmured, picking it up carefully so as not to scratch the surface of the beautiful object. The first orb he'd ever received and the first step toward becoming a Drakeinian, how very exciting!

Eyphah starred at the Drakein before him as he spoke of how it was the 'first orb' that he'd ever obtained and he found himself wondering why in name of Kalyth that this one was hunting in Eowyn of all places when he had no training. He should be off hunting those worthless Ysali! Giving a little growl he said, "Come with me, I think that we should talk about why you are in Eowyn." He told the wingless one, turning on his heel, leading the way away from where he'd downed the Kiandri, sure that other dragons could very well come here to see what all the commotion was about and he wasn't ready to protect this one's hide a second time so soon. Best that they take their orbs, find somewhere shady, and have a nice, long chat.

Looking curious as to what it was that they were gonna talk about Tallulah gave a nod of his head, "Ahh... alright!" He chirp, tossing the orb into the air, catching it carefully in his jaws, and followed along after the darkly colored Diabi. He wasn't sure where they were going, what they were gonna talk about, or even what the other guy's name was but he couldn't say that he was all that worried. After all why should he be? The Diabi wouldn't have saved him after all, as well as given him the pretty orb, if he was planning on eating him. As such he would happily followed along after him, chat with him for a time, and maybe get directions back to the ocean where he was better off due to his lack of any sort of directional sense whilst on land.
