The cold wastes of this particular area wasn't a place that was all that welcoming for new comers. It was rather cold here, a bite in the air that reminded the Diabi of the bite of a dragon. This place was where his next challenge, the ice dragons called Aiskala, were located. He'd felt a little bad about having to leave Tallulah so far behind... but felt that maybe in the long run it would be alright. Tallulah wanted to go into the water after all to chase the Peisio and given his abilities he would be able to fight those dragons in a manner that Eyphah had been unable to do. When they met up again he was certain that they would both meet up again in the future, with the two of them stronger for it. Even knowing that though it felt rather strange not having the Merkein here with him.
It wasn't something that he could worry about though he told himself, he had to think about himself, where he was, what he was doing, and the fact that he was hunting dragons. He would concentrate on the dragons that he was hunting, on the strange landscape he was treading, and the fact that he was in a bit of a competition with his all to sweet and friendly Merkein. They were both after a similar goal after all and Eyphah was determined that he reach it first since he was the teacher in all of this. It was something that his mother had teased him about to no end, the idea of her selfish, grumpy son actually taking time off from his goal so that he could instead teach someone else how to fight. It wasn't exactly something he had ever thought he'd be doing and yet he'd done it.
His thoughts on the Merkein seemed to fade away though when he heard a loud, roaring sound, one that he set to chasing along after. Spotting a pair of dragons his eyes went quite wide, looking utterly fascinated with these particular dragons... and he was quick to attack the pair of them. It was a quick attack, one in which he tested the Aiskala, got a feel for them, where their vulnerable areas were located and where they were more heavily armored. He was able to tell rather quickly that their heads were their most dangerous aspect due to all of those spikes. That wasn't all they had going for them though, had they? There were also a lot of spiny, spiky bites here and there on their backs, and there were also their claws. He would certain have to be careful around these ones or else hew as going to end up with that many more new scars to add to his collection of them. Not that he cared too much about scars but he didn't want any lasting wounds since he no longer had a healer about.
Giving a bit of grin the big Diabi licked the Aiskala blood from his lips before he rushed off against the snowy landscape, leaving one of the two dragon's bleeding. He didn't want to risk himself against the new dragons when he was completely alone in the battle and on this continent. Without a partner and without his family he was going to be careful with this first battle... next time though he'd go full bore. Grinning a bit of himself, as well as chuckling, the dragon dove behind a nearby wall of ice, leaving the pair of dragons to race passed his hiding spot, "Oh, I will be eating one of you tasty beasts soon." He all but purred before he set to chasing after the pair.
