The continent of Ayr was a lot different then the last two places that Tallulah had visited, this one seeming to be rocky and windy, nothing nearly as Serenia but not as bad as Eowyn. The Merkein settled down on the shore, looking from side to side, then looked over at Eyphah, "This place is rather... windy, isn't it?" He asked, shifting himself so that he could keep from tipping over as an even stronger breeze came whipping passed. Wind this strong was a new one for Tallulah, not used to getting himself shoved about in such a manner. Sure, when he was in the ocean it was fun to ride the waves, but here it was just irritating the way it wanted to knock him down...

Eyphah glanced over at him and started to chuckle in amusement before he looked from side to side, "We are going to go from here to find the old cave I used last time I was here." He told Tallulah, "Once we find that we can see about preparing you for your next sets of hunts. The dragons here though, it should be interesting. They are avid flyers and you... well... are you." He said, waving a clawed forefoot at Tallulah, indicating his lack of wings. The lack of wings really was going to make things a lot tougher for Tallulah in the long run but he was going to do his best to make sure that they figured out ways for him to balance it out. There had to be things that Tallulah was good at after all, they just had to figure those things out was all, "Come on. Let's get going, if we sit here too long we are going to be found before we are ready to battle with those Ayrala dragons."

Tallulah looked around a moment, giving a miffed sort of sound when the other set to pointing at him and his lack of wings again. He sighed a bit then nodded, "Yeah, yeah... I know that I can't fly... I will figure it out though." He muttered, looking up at him, eyes narrowing, tail lashing. He knew he couldn't fly but he'd figure it out! Though... knowing that the Ayrala were avid flyers was a bother... he wondered how he was supposed to fight them? It was going to be... tough but surely there was a way to fight them from the ground, right? It seemed that the two-legs fought them from what he'd seen in Eowyn, so surely he just had to figure out how to fight in that manner too. With that thought in mind he trotted along after Eyphah who had started toward wherever the a fore mentioned cave.

After the lengthy swim from Serenia to Ayr, Naia's clan remained submerged in the shallows, enjoying the change in their watery surroundings. Naia herself had other plans. This was her first time in Ayr, and she wanted to see more of it. Mind, her siblings, older and more experienced in their travels, had assured her that there was very little of interest in rocky, windy Ayr. Why take their word for it, though? She stepped daintily onto the shore, eyes wide with curiosity.

It was... every bit as rocky and windy as her siblings had said it would be. Still, Naia was not quite ready to admit that they were right to dismiss the place. There were also lots of Ayrala dragons lounging on the rocks. Exciting, no? No, just annoying, a traitorous little thought said in the privacy of the Merkein's mind, but she squelched it, walking on.

There had to be something worth seeing at ground level. Meanwhile, though, all the winds battering at her were getting tedious and distracting. If she found some peace from the winds, it would help clear her mind and keep any Ayrala dragons from springing an ambush. Then she could plan out her net move rather than just wandering the place until something interesting presented itself. And look, there was a suitable cave just ahead.

Strolling toward the cave entrance, she noticed that she wasn't alone. Company took the form of a heavily scarred Drakein and another Merkein, also headed that way. Her head dipped in polite greeting. "Hello. Are you taking shelter in the cave ahead?"

The voice asking about the cave, the one that Eyphah was leading the way to, had the Diabi giving a rumbling sound in his throat as he turned to face the one that was speaking... only to find himself face to face with another Merkein. He blinked a couple times, turned to look over at Tallulah, and said, "Here I thought your kind were supposed to be rare." He in a teasing tone of voice before turning to look at the female, "Yes, it's a preferred shelter of mine when coming to Ayr, why?" He asked, looking her over even more closely now. Was she thinking on trying to butt in on his territory? It wasn't something he liked the sound of, not wanting to share what he felt was his... though at the same time given the rarity of the Merkein perhaps he should rethink that? He didn't want to leave this one one hanging in a place as dangerous as Ayr while taking care of her brethren. Sheesh but things were feeling a bit too complicated, weren't they?

"I am not one to share such a small space with a bunch of Drakein, or in your case Merkein, but I suppose I can make an exception this time." No reason to have the blood of a rare creature such as these ones on his hands he thought to himself, his barbed tail lashing from side to side. Best that he keep an eye on this one while she was around as well, just to be on the safe side.

"We are heading that way to plan out our next move." Tallulah suddenly piped in, tail swishing behind him. He seemed to be rather happy to see another of his kind, even if the Diabi seemed to be a bit iffy about it. It had been some time since he'd left home and to see another Merkein, even if she wasn't from his family, was a nice change of pace he thought to himself, "Are you here to hunt the Ayrala too?" He asked of her curiously, wondering if she were a potential hunting partner. Though he wondered if Eyphah would allow for that... he was here to hunt and get stronger after all, he didn't know if he would be allowed to hunt with a partner. Nevertheless he could at least see if she was on Ayr to do the same thing they were doing. They could, if nothing else, look out for each other while they were all here, right? At least he sure hoped so.

Eyphah shook his head, "You will be hunting on your own, Tallulah, how else will you grow strong enough to become Merkeinian?" The Diabi reminded him before looking at the female once more, "I am curious though, are you hunting them?" If she was hunting in this area perhaps it was best that they find another hunting spot he thought to himself or else there wouldn't be enough dragons and orbs to go around.

Hearing the rumbling emanating from the Diabi, Naia tensed, but she forced herself to relax. Tensing for a fight wouldn't help matters. Being a Merkein seemed to work in her favor, judging from the Drakein's blinking and comment to the other Merkein. "I see. I was wondering if I'd need to look for a different cave," she replied, her good cheer apparently undaunted by the prospect. Inside, she was less than optimistic about being able to find another convenient cave quickly, but if these two didn't care for company, why force hers on them?

It seemed like she wouldn't have to search further, thankfully. Her head dipped again, this time in thanks. "Thank you for making an exception. I'll do my best not to wear out my welcome." She returned his scrutiny, more curious than wary now. Given the number of scars on the Diabi, he must have been in a number of fights, and it seemed like he had fought his share of Ayrala dragons before, if he was familiar with this cave. The fact that he was still breathing attested to his combat prowess. It was a good thing she hadn't greeted this pair with hostilities, then.

Naia's head swiveled to regard the Merkein as he chimed in. It was a welcome sight to see another Merkein; she had not met many outside her own clan. "Not yet. I'd like to study the lay of the land and the Ayrala's behavior some more before I hunt. They have me at something of a disadvantage, after all." She shrugged her wingless shoulders. "But it's nothing that planning and strategy can't overcome, I'm sure."

She included both males in her next question: "You're here to train, then? I can stay clear of your hunting." It would hardly be a hardship; there was no shortage of Ayrala dragons on this continent.

Tallulah couldn't help but to give a bit of a chuckle as the female indicated her wingless shoulders, something that he knew only too well about. It was something he couldn't help but to be amused by given that Eyphah had often told him that it was putting him at a distinct disadvantage against the dragons that were able to fly and that he had to figure out other ways around such a thing. Thus far he'd done alright but he would need to keep pushing himself and his training so that he would be able to figure out better and better ways of taking the dragons down despite his lack of wings, "Well, we just have to do a bit of extra planning when it comes to our hunting is all but I am sure that we will both get it figured out with enough practice." He reassured his fellow Merkein.

At her next question it was Eyphah that spoke up, saying, "Yes, we are here to get Tallulah some practice against the Ayrala. He didn't do too bad against the Ysali so I figured he was ready for a stronger foe." He told her, glad to hear that she would steer clear of their hunting. While he didn't so much mind the idea of her hunting in the same area as them he wanted to make sure that Tallulah stuck to hunting on his own, he needed the practice after all, needed to get better, and if others were around he might lean on them. Fighting solo for the moment was for the best if you asked him, "I don't mind you sticking around the area though and using the cave as much as you need." The cave was spacious enough that it should be big enough for the three of them to rest in while they were in the area.

Trotting forward Eyphah moved to the entrance to the cave, looking inside, then gave a nod, "Doesn't look as though anyone has used it since the last time I was on Ayr, that's good." He said to the other two. While it was silly to think that the cave should belong completely to him he still didn't like to share his space with those that he hadn't invited in personally. After he was done inspecting the place he turned around to face the other Merkein and asked, "So, what's your name?" Best that they make introductions straight away, it would make chatting more friendly instead of just calling her 'female' or 'woman' or something akin to that.
